Jeez louise! After my long hiatus from this story and things going on at home and work, I really tried my best to post last the chapter, I really did, but to make it up for it, here's the new chapter, which is the saga where the team gets to find their Crests.

During the incident against Devimon, little Patamon manage to digivolved into Angemon, the opposite of the Demon Digimon and he manage to save the island by sacrificing himself to save his human partner, TK and became a Digi-Egg.
Gaomon said that Digimon never dies, they come back after their long rest, just like the one TK is holding as he promised he'll take good care of the egg till he see his friend again. Which, it made my heart warmed up after that, which is weird until we all saw a transmission of an old man.
Which, it leads to with him, right now.
"So, you children are the Digidestined?" He asked us. "Huh, you must be strong to have defeated Devimon."
"Who are you?" Tai asked him.
"Are you a friend of Devimon's?" Matt asked, seeing the old man shake his head.
"Fear not, for I am a friend to all and yet, I am a friend to none." The old man said.
"I can't believe it," I hear Sora when she came by me. "There are actually other humans besides us in this world."
"I am human and yet, I am not human." What the hell is that even means?
"This is so confusing." Mimi said, more like complaining.
"Now, my name is Gennai," The old man introduced himself. "I couldn't send you the transmission during your battle with Devimon, but now the lines are clear and only ten cents a minute."
"But, who are you and just where are you?" Izzy asked.
"I'm speaking to you far away from File Island," Gennai explained. "Across the ocean on the Continent of Server."
"Are you the one who got us stuck here, in the Digital World?" Mimi asked when all of us look up at her.
"It was not I."
"Then, who did?" I asked him.
"It was...I don't know." All of us groaned at that, some of us made it sound annoyed than the rest and I'm already getting a headache.
"But, Mr. Gennai, sir," TK came in in front of me with Patamon's egg in his arms. "Do you know what we need to do, so we can get back home again?"
"I'm sorry, I can't help you, but you can be a help to me." I folded my arms.
"How?" I asked while I beat everyone to it.
"Please come to the server and defeat our enemies," He said. "As the Digidestined, I have faith in you." Whenever someone mentions that word, my heart warmed up.
"But, that's crazy," I hear Izzy. "We don't know where your exact location."
"Good point, I forgot you're from out of town," Really, old man? "Let me create a map in your computer." Izzy went ahead pull up his laptop from his back.
"What if your enemies are humongous?" Joe asked. "You think we can beat anything tougher than Devimon?"
"Not presently, but if your Digimon can digivolve once more, you might be able to do it." Wait, what?
"So, we can digivolve even more?" Agumon asked when he and Gaomon look at each other.
"But, you'll need something special to do it." The image change into a golden tag that has a rectangle shape glass with an orange gem sliding through. "If you have the tags and Crests, your Digimon will be able to digivolve even further."
"Please tell us where we can find these tags and Crests." Gabumon requested when I thought about what Devimon said about me and TK with our Digimon.
"And the tags were secretly sealed away somewhere by Devimon." Gennai said when all of the sudden, the transmission is failing. "Oh, no! Devimon...you must...come to...AHHH!"
"Gennai!" I called out while I heard the team talked at once.
"Come quickly! I'll be waiting...Server..." And the transmission disappeared.
"He's gone!" Tai exclaimed.
"What was that?" Mimi asked.
"Gennai's transmission ended abruptly." I hear Tentomon while I thought all of the information he told us so far.
"Well, at least he was able to send the map through before he was cut off." I went over to Izzy and saw the map what Gennai told us about.
"I hope he's all right," Sora said. "What's our next move going to be?"
"Well, I know few things," Everyone look up at me. "Let's take a break by eating and then, from there, we'll come up for any suggestions that come to mind." I look over at Tai. "How about it, neighbor?" He smiles up at him.
"Sounds like a plan." He winks at me, which it made me a giggle a bit.

Later on, everyone worked together to create camp by the ocean while I helped the girls and our Digimon gather berries and other food we've found for the boys. They even catch some fish, which is awesome, so we can mix the berries to it to add the tangy flavor.
I blame my family's diner, we cooked about anything. I'm just very happy that TK and the Digimon manage to get food in their stomachs.
"That was delicious," Agumon said with a smile.
"I was so hungry." Biyomon giggled while I watched Gaomon, being a dog as he is, gets comfy next to me and fell asleep like a normal dog would do. I even heard Tentomon saying that he's ready for lunch when I look up at him.
"Really, Tento?" I giggled when he just laugh it off. Then, I notice TK is over by the lake with his Digi-Egg and his older brother made his way over to him.
"TK?" I hear Matt as I watch them.
"I was wishing that my Digi-Egg would hurry up and hatch already, so it could grow up." TK said, making me smile at that.
"Don't sweat it, little bro," Matt said. "When your Digimon hatches, it'll be the coolest one yet."
"Eggsactly." I giggled while I pet my sleeping Digimon on his head.
"Okay, everyone, now we've stuffed our faces, what are we going to do next?" Tai asked when I look up at him.
"You know what's next," Sora reminded him. "We have to go to the Server to save Gennai from his enemies."
"Well, according to my calculations of longitude and latitude," Izzy stated. "The Server is quite some distance from here."
"I can't even swim across the bath tub," Mimi complained. "Let alone the ocean, I can't make it."
"Why do we have to go, anyway?" Everyone and I look over at Joe. "What I mean is that Devimon's gone from the island, the black gears have disappeared, too." He said. "We've been once around the island, so we basically know where everything is. We wouldn't have to worry about food or water."
"What are you saying?" Sora asked as I stood up.
"Don't answer that question, Joe," I told him, seeing everyone looking up at me, which I hate it, but still. "Look, I know what you're going to say next, you're going to listen to your guts, saying that we shouldn't go to the Server and rescue Gennai." I said as I continue. "I say we should, because why else are we here for?" Everyone seem to be thinking about it, but I keep going. "What's the point staying here if we have other places that we can explore?"
"Akane's right," Tai said with determined. "If we hang here, we'll never get back home." Everyone look depressed when they think it through. I kneeled besides Mimi and place my hand on her shoulder, seeing her look up at me and I gave her a comforting smile.
"I don't know, guys," That was from Sora when we look over at her. "Devimon almost got us, maybe we shouldn't go." I got mad at that. "At least, we know what we're up against."
"And even if we go," I look over at Izzy. "what mode of transportation could we utilize?"
"We don't even know what kind of fashions are like on Server." I facepalmed at that. Really, Mimi?
"Maybe we should stay here a while longer and think this through." I stood up and stomp my foot down.
"What's the matter with you guys!" I snapped, seeing them jumped. "Are you really that scared to go? Look all the troubles we've been through so far!" The reason why, because I don't want to leave the Digital World yet, I wanna continue to learn about our Digimon friends and explore new things. Especially about learning how would our Digimon digivolve even further.
But, then...
"Let's go." All of us look over at TK and saw him stood up with his Digi-Egg and has determined look on his face. "We don't know what kind of danger will be waiting for us, but let's see." He said as I made my way over to him. "I'm sure Angemon would say the same thing, so...I'm going." I went ahead lift him up in my arms and gave him my famous bear hug.
"If TK's going, then, I'm going." I said to the team, seeing him smile as he sort of hug me back, because of the egg, which I didn't mind.
"Hey, you two can't go without me," Gaomon said as he made his way over to us. "I'll go anywhere with you, Akane and TK." I pat him on the head, seeing him grin.
"We'll go, too!" I hear Agu when the three of us and the rest look over at him. "If we have the tags and Crests, we'll be able to digivolve again, right? Once we transform into our new shapes, we'll be able to protect you for sure." Aw, Agu.
"You da mon!" Tai complimented him, seeing the two goofballs hugging each other.
"So, Sora, what do you say?" Biyomon asked her partner, holding her hands.
"Our chances for successful is extremely high," Tento said, tapping onto Izzy's laptop.
"Come on, Mimi," Palmon said. "I bet you'll see prettiest flowers all over Server."
"Don't worry about me, I'll swim over to the Server," Gabu said. "Come on, let's do it." Then, Matt and Sora stood up with smiles on their faces.
"Let's go."
"Count me in."
"Okay, I'll go," Joe said as he stood up and adjusting his glasses. "I'm convinced."
"Well, I'm not staying by myself," Mimi said as she stood up, gripping her hat for excitment. "Count me in, too."
"All right, it's unanimous." Izzy also stood up.
"That's great," Tai said. "It's decided, we're going to the Server!" Everyone, even myself, cheered.
Few minutes later, everyone went to sleep to prepare tomorrow while I stayed awake, staring at the lake since my mind is all about what Devimon had said to me. What did he mean about me having faith in my heart? Is that why my heart been warming up lately? I never suspect myself having faith in myself nor towards the team since I rarely made any friends when I've met Tai, then the others back at camp since it was the first day I've actually met them.
I mean, yeah, I've seen them around the neighborhood that me and Tai are living in, because the kids are mostly his friends. Like I said, I rarely made any friends when my family and I came from Okinawa four years ago. But, when we've came to this world, I instantly became friends with Gaomon. He's like a best friend I've ever wanted, I can tell by the way we worked together to protect the team from dangers. Not only that, but we can be silly and talk about anything.
I look over behind me and saw the team are soundly asleep, even Gaomon is keeping TK warm, sleeping like an actual dog by his side, which it made me smile at the scene. Then, I look over at the older brother, Matt. I can tell he's having a little trouble of how being an older brother to his little brother, but at least he's doing his best.
Not only that, he can be really cool, funny, awesome, cute-
Whoa, hold the phone! I shook my head at thought as I look away. Did I think that Matt is cute?! What the hell is wrong with me? I can feel the blush coming onto my cheek as I smack my face side to side.
"Stop it, Akane, Matt is your friend," I whisper myself. "You shouldn't be thinking like that. It's bad enough that Tai is cute, too." My eyes widen at that and I just punched my cheek. "What the hell is wrong with me tonight?" I think I should spray myself some water on my face, which I did, then I went back to the group, but towards a tree, so I can lean on it, then get some shut eyes.
So, I can stop thinking like a girly girl who is crushing on two guys. Oy, vey!

The next morning, the sun shone over us, making us wake up and we all went to work to build a raft.
"Timber!" Tai called out when Agumon used his attack to take down a tree. Gabumon did the same, but the tree he attacked, almost landed on Palmon, Tentomon and Biyomon, crying out as they manage to get out of the way.
"Careful, guys." I said.
"At our current rate, it'll take forever to build a raft." Izzy said.
"Don't worry about it, Izzy." Sora said. "It's not we're in some kind of hurry." I stood by her side as the two of us grin at each other. Not until the two of us heard footsteps coming when we look behind us and we squealed in shock.
"Leomon!" Izzy gasped in surprise when the lion Digimon came over to us.
"So, I heard you were all going to the Server." The three of us gotten surprised at that.
"How did you know?" I asked him.
"Oh, you know us monsters," Leomon said. "we all love to gossip." I giggled at that. "I thought I'd see if you wanted some help with anything." Sora and Izzy smiles at each other.
"You'll help us, Leomon?" I got very happy, hearing him chuckling at my expression.
"I've got some friends who'll want to help as well." We look over and saw couple of Digimon we've met throughout our adventures.
"Electmon!" Izzy said.
"Mojyamon and Centarumon, too." Tai said when he came over to the three of us.
"Yeah, hi, what's up?" Electmon greeted while more Digimon we've known came in.
"Monzaemon." Mimi giggled when we saw the yellow bear.
"And Frigimon." I said when the polar bear came in. Even Meramon and the little Yokomon came in, which it made Biyomon very happy to see her friends again.
Everyone worked together, even Gaomon digivolved to help the big guys with the tree trunks while Matt, Joe and I used the vines to tie up the ends to keep the raft hold together. Within matter of minutes, the raft is complete. The Rookies went ahead climb on to test it and Meramon push the raft off the hill, seeing the raft sailing in the air and manage to land in the shallow water.
"It worked!" I called out, making all of us cheered as we ran downhill to meet up with our Digimon.
"It's hydro-dynamically designed." Izzy said as we all climb on.
"I think I'm getting seasick already." Joe groaned.
"Joe, we're barely moving," I told him. "It'll have to do, just relax, okay?" I gave him a gentle rub on his back as the two of us look over at Leomon.
"Believe me, the raft is strong enough to get you across the ocean." He said with a smile.
"Thanks, Leomon," I hear Tai as I look over at him. "we never could done it without your help." Not until we heard TK gasped as all of us look over at him.
"What is it?" Matt asked when us older kids look saw the egg is hatching.
"Digi-Egg, you hatched!" TK is really excited to see his friend again, which it turns out to be a little silvery white jellyfish looking Digimon.
"Poyo, Poyomon!"
"How cute!" Mimi gushed.
"That's great." Sora said with a smile.
"It's a little baby Digimon." I said with a smile, seeing TK spinning around and being so happy.
"Poyomon is a baby form of Patamon," Gaomon explained. "He can only say few words, but when his buddies are in trouble, he's ready to fight." He chuckles as I pet him on his head, seeing the small duo hugging each other.
Once everyone is in, it's time to go. We all say goodbyes to our Digimon friends we've met since we got here before the incident with Devimon, then they gave us good luck for the rest of our adventure.

Apparently, within an hour, everyone got bored. Me? I'm just sitting down, cross-legged with my book on my lap while Gaomon takes a nap next to me. Tai is using his trusty mini-telescope to look out for the Server.
"I can't see anything." I hear him say while I turned the page.
"I wonder how much long this trip will take?" Joe asked, hearing him almost freaking out.
"Chill out, Joe, we just left." Tai said.
"The salt air is killing my sinuses and we've only got enough food for two weeks." Joe said while I closed my book and put it back in my blue knapsack.
"If we ran out, we can catch some fish." I told him while I put my knapsack back on since I can't read with all the whining from the older boy himself.
"Well, the one good thing is the beautiful weather." Sora complimented as I enjoy it myself.
"Oh, I don't feel so good." Mimi groaned, seeing her looking sick while Palmon comfort her, because of the waves splashing around us.
"I didn't calculate these waves being so rough." Izzy said when I notice the waves gotten worse. TK is playing with Poyomon while I figure out what's going on, not until I saw that Poyomon almost fell off the raft with a rough wave hits us and I manage to catch him.
"I got you, little buddy." Me and TK felt relieved, giving the little guy back to his human partner.
"Thanks, Akane." I smile down at TK when we heard Tai say about tidal wave when we look up and saw the waves towering over us. We all screamed and yelled as we held onto the raft, me holding the small duo in my arms, since we're being knocked back, me hitting my head on Gaomon's stomach.
"That had have to be twelve feet tall." I heard Matt while Gaomon helped me to sit up, then helping TK and Poyomon.
"Thirteen point eight, to be exact." I scowl over at Izzy for being a smart-aleck. He jumped when he saw my expression. "But, who's counting?"
"Was that another boat that caused it?" Sora asked as I look over at the sea.
"I don't think so," I told her. "No boat would something that big." Not until the boat rocked a little when a brown land appeared from underwater. "What in the world-"
"An island." Tai gasped.
"An island?" Sora asked when I notice something.
"What kind of an island would have fins?" I pointed out when the giant creature dove down, causing the waves to rock our boat, which cause me to fall back. "Wahh! Ow." Not until I saw a shadow as I look up and gasped at the sight.
"Heads up!" Tai called out when the creature lifted his tail and hit the surface of the water, causing the waves shake violently that made the raft soar into the air.
"It's Whamon!" I hear Gaomon. "He's a giant Digimon lives underwater, mostly in deep oceans of Digital World. His Jet Arrows are very strong."
"It was massive." Gabumon said with a frown.
"A Whamon can sometimes be fierce," I hear Tentomon. "But, I've never seen this one act so aggressive."
"He must be cranky, then." Gao said when Whamon appeared again, only this time, he's opening his mouth, causing all of us to hold onto something when we went inside with the waves heading the same direction while everyone screamed.
"I hope we don't give him sore throat." Sora said as we continue to slide down.
"Technically, it's not the throat," Izzy said. "It's the esophagus, it leads to the stomach."
"He thinks we're fast foods!" Joe cried out.
"He really did eat us!" Mimi cried out.
"Sooner or later, this has to lead to an exit." Sora said.
"I don't think you want to know where it leads to." I tell her, hearing Mimi complaining about her roots, which I almost laugh about Palmon lending hers. Not until couple of saliva landed on the raft, causing us to move back from it. "What in the world is that?"
"Maybe they're antibodies," Izzy called out. "They're attacking us, because we're germs or something!" We manage to land in the stomach, I know it, because of the acid below.
"Everybody okay?" I asked the team when I look over at them. Sora was holding onto Tai during the whole ride, Palmon clung onto Mimi while the girl held onto the crate while everyone else seem okay, including TK and Poyomon since the two clung onto Matt.
"Where are we?" Joe asked as I look around.
"We're in the stomach, I think." I answered. We have to be, I'm just curious.
"The stomach? Isn't that where food goes when it'd chew up?" TK asked.
"Yeah," Matt answered for him when he came over to me. "You okay, Akane?" I nodded at him.
"Yeah, Matt, I'm fine." Not until I notice a flashing red light appear, circling around Whamon's stomach. "What's that?" That's when the two of us notice that it gotten dissolved from..."Uh-oh, that's not good!" I exclaimed.
"Gastric juice!" Izzy exclaimed.
"What?" Mimi asked, making me facepalmed.
"Meaning, we need to act fast before we've become smithereens ourselves!" I shouted, causing everyone to gasp as they slowly back away from the acid when I heard Sora gasped.
"Akane, look, up there!" I look up and I too, gasped at the sight.
"A black gear." I heard Tai when the black gear is lodged up.
"That's why Whamon was acting so aggressive." Agumon said.
"Joe, do something." I heard Gomamon.
"Why me?"
"Someone can climb onto these." Palmon uses her Poison Ivy as a bridge from where she is to the gear.
"I'll go." I quickly climb on, then I started towards the gear, carefully not to get acid on me or sweet little Palmon.
"Akane, be careful." I hear my Digimon as I made it to the top, not only that, my Digivice started acting up when I held it.
"My Digivice should get rid of it." It began to glow and the gear disappear within matter of seconds. "Yes." I manage to jump off Palmon's vines and Matt manage to catch me in his arms. "Oof, nice catch."
"Thanks." I quickly get off, the move away from him since I can feel a faint blush coming along. But, then, I hear a loud rumble when all of the sudden...
"AAAAHHHH!" We and the raft manage to get out through Whamon's blowhole and we all fall into the ocean, hearing couple of loud splashes from the raft. It's a good thing I tried out swimming when I was a kid as I quickly swam back up for air. I popped out to the surface, coughing all the water out of my mouth.
"Akane." I heard Gaomon when I saw him on the log he's on. I swam over to him and climbed on. Then, I look around to see everyone's okay, which they are when I heard Mimi screamed as I look over and it turns out to be Whamon.
"Sorry about that," The big guy said. "I must have had a tummy ache or something."
"That's okay, we all know it wasn't your fault." Biyo tell him.
"That's right, it was the black gear that was inside of you." Sora smiled at the big whale.
"Those black gears are rude," I look over at Tai. "I bet that's the last one."
"I don't think so." I murmured while I take off my bandana and twist it to get all the water out while Gaomon, like any dog would do, shake his fur off. "Hey, Gao!"
"Thanks, kids, I owe you one." Whamon said.
"No problem, Whamon," I told him as I put my bandana around my forehead, then look up at him with a smile. "It's the least we can do." Then, Tai asked him about the Server.
"Yeah, it would take me five days," He said. "Uh, make that three days and a half without traffic." What traffic? We're in the middle of the ocean.
"Great, our raft's broken." TK whimpered.
"Are you going to the Server?" Whamon asked.
"Yeah, we were trying to." Gaomon tell him.
"I'll take you there myself," The big guy said. "It's not everyday your lunch saves your life." I started to laugh at that while everyone began to cheer. As soon we got on on top of Whamon's head, we began to enjoy the ride.
"The breeze up here is amazing." I said, feeling the smile on my face.
"This sure is a whole lot faster and smoother than the raft." Izzy said.
"Which means, I won't get seasick." Mimi giggled.
"Now, if we only knew where we could find those Tags and Crests that Devimon hid somewhere." Tai said, making me thinking about it.
"Did you say Devimon?" That was from Whamon.
"Yeah, do ya know him?"
"Well, I don't know about Tags and Crests," The whale tells us. "But, a while ago, Devimon hid something deep at the bottom of the ocean."
"Can you tell us where?" Goggle-head asked.
"It's on the way to the Server, you can all ride inside of me and I'll take ya there, but no tickling." And we did, ignoring the smell from earlier. I just hope he doesn't burp from the area where we just come out from.
Anyway, it seem like it's been five minutes when we've felt Whamon stopped and open his mouth for us to climb out. It was an underwater cavern.
"Wow." I look around my surrounding while I hear Whamon said he wanted to take a break, which we didn't mind until we started to search for the Tags. The cave gotten a little dark while we walk, then we manage to see a mini-mart up ahead.
"A convenience store." Tai said as the team walked ahead while I stayed behind, sensing trouble.
"Uh-oh, wait, you guys!" Too late. The ground shake when a creature, a mole looking Digimon came out with a drill nose looking on his face. Everyone gotten in shock when they saw him.
"Drimogemon lives deep inside of the earth, digging tunnels," Tento said. "He uses his Iron Drill Spin and Crushing Bone to wipe out his enemies."
"Ah, a black gear!" Sora called out when we saw the black gear is in the big guy's head.
"I knew that couldn't been the last black gear." Joe said while Drimogemon stood in front of us and get ready.
"It is Lord Devimon's that no one shall pass." He roared.
"Tai, leave it to us Digimon," Agumon said. "You try to find the Tags."
"Got it." Tai said while the mole Digimon stalks over at us.
"You think that drill scares us?" That was from Gomamon. "Think again! Gomamon, digivolve to...Ikkakumon!" Then, the two horned Digimon fought with Joe motivating his Digimon to fight.
"That's our cue, let's go!" I led the team head over to the store while Izzy and Tentomon stayed behind to help Ikkakumon with Tento digivolving into Kabuterimon after we've embrace from impact that Ikkakumon caused and then, Kabuterimon manage to use his attack on the black gear, which cause a massive black smokes everywhere.
"Ah, Gaomon, a little help?"
"I'm on it. Gaomon, digivolve to...Gaogamon!" I hear my canine as he gets ready. "Hold on to your hats and fur, everyone, Spiral Blow!" The attack is only to make the air clear for us to see and I notice TK and Poyomon aren't around.
"Hey, where'd they go?" I asked when I saw them head over to the mini mart. I ran over and saw Poyomon is hiding in a shelf. "Hey, you two, you okay?"
"Akane, look what Poyomon found." He handed me a box, then I began to open when everyone else came in. Turns out, it was the Tags we saw in the transmission.
"Holy Tags."
"Just like the ones Gennai showed us during in his transmission." I hear Izzy as everyone grab one of their own while I grab the last one and put it on, looking down at it with a smile on my face. Not only that, my heart warmed up again afterwards.
Why does it do that? I thought when I saw my partner in crime came in as his cute Rookie self.
"You okay, Akane?" He probably notice the confuse expression on my face while everyone else are busy with their Tags. I shook my head a little, then smiles down at my Digimon.
"I'm fine, Gao," I pet him on his head, hearing him chuckling a bit. "Let's head back to Whamon and get out of the cavern." And we did when we met up with Whamon, then we were back up on the surface, seeing the sun is beginning to set, causing the shine onto our Tags while we enjoy the cool breeze.
I notice Mimi is shivering a little, so I went ahead untie my sweater from my waist, then place it on her shoulders, seeing her look over at me and I grin at her.
"You can use it to sleep, too, if you like?" She grinned back at me, then the two of us went back looking at the view.
"Remember what Gennai told us, you guys," I hear Matt since he's sitting next to me. "The Crests are scattered throughout the continent of Server."
"And if we get both Tags and Crests," Gabumon continued.
"We'll all be able to digivolve once again." Agumon finished while I think about it as I bring my knees up to my chin. Thinking what Gaomon would look like in another form of his evolution. I hope something's really cool, but what the hey?
Whatever it is, I'm sure me and him would get strong enough to protect our friends from dangers. I have faith within myself and my best friend and I know I'll never lose it.
