This is just a little something I found while going through my old fanfic folder. I felt like it was complete as is and just had to share it. Just know that I didn't edit it in any way so this isn't an accurate reflection of my current writing skills.

Anyway, this takes place immediately after Chapter Eight: Sky's Awake. Frozenfever9712 and Protoestrella1 actually requested this. Sorry it's so terribly late.

"Of course I'm sure she's sick. How do I know? Her forehead is burning up! No, I don't know what's wrong with her, that's why I called you!"

Elsa began pacing back and forth about the room. "You're right, you're right, I'm sorry. I'm just worried, is all. I've never had to take care of someone sick before, besides myself, and I-I don't know what to do."

She paused to gaze at her sister lying on the bed. "Her temperature? I don't know. No, I don't have a thermometer. I don't remember what I did with it. Really? Well if it's no trouble… Thank you so much. I'll see you then. Alright… Bye."

Elsa hung up the phone with a sigh of relief, which was cut short by a long whimper from her sister. "Elsa," Anna rasped. "I don't feel good."

The blonde smiled sadly and walked over to the bed to sit beside her swaddled sister. "I know, baby." She stroked over Anna's sweaty and feverish cheek. "But don't worry. I'll take care of you."

"Wh-who were you talking to on the phone?"

"Rapunzel. She's coming over to see what's wrong with you."

"Why Rapunzel?"

"Well she's a pediatrician."

"She is?" Anna's voice came out scratchy and whiny.

"Yes she is. Now you need to rest and stop straining your voice."

Anna nodded and settled into the covers, attempting to fall into a peaceful sleep. Elsa watched over her and she, after several toss and turns from the younger girl, began to sing softly to her, stopping only after the doorbell rang. Anna's eyes snapped open with a quiet whimper. The sound made Elsa's heart ache as she got up and left the room to answer the door.

"Hi," greeted the cheerful brunette. "I came as soon as I could. Can I come in?"

"Sure."

Elsa stood aside to let Rapunzel come in and closed the door behind her.

"How is she?" Rapunzel asked.

"Not good," the blonde replied. "She's in her room."

"Okay. I'll go take care of her while you take care of your work situation."

"Alright. Thank you again for doing this."

"Oh, it's no problem," Rapunzel said with a wave of her hand before heading off to Anna's room. Rapunzel sighed when she saw a tear run down the girl's flushed cheek as she failed to find a comfortable position to lie in. The redhead smiled when she spotted the older girl walking into her room.

"Hey princess," Rapunzel cooed, setting her bag down on the bed. "How are you feeling?"

Anna shook her head. "Not good." She pouted, sniffling.

"I'm sorry." The brunette went through her bag.

"Are you here to make me better?"

Rapunzel smiled as she took out a thermometer. "I'll try." That earned her a grin from the younger girl. "I'm going to go wash this. I'll be right back, okay?" Anna nodded, so Rapunzel left the room. She came back moments later with the thermometer clean. "Open your mouth and put this under your tongue," she directed.

"Huh?" Anna tilted her head.

Rapunzel laughed. "Open your mouth and lift up your tongue." Anna followed her orders with a confused look on her face. The older girl rolled her eyes and placed the instrument under the girl's tongue. "Now close your lips around it. Don't bite it and make sure it stays under your tongue."

Anna bobbed her head and shut her mouth. Rapunzel laid the back of her hand on the girl's forehead. "You really are burning up," she remarked. "Have you been sweating and shivering?"

"Mmhm," Anna mumbled over the thermometer.

"Have you eaten this morning? Are you hungry?"

She shook her head.

"Do you have a headache?"

Anna moved her hand in a so-so motion.

"Let's see your temperature." Rapunzel slid the thermometer from Anna's mouth and wiped it off with a tissue. "Hmm… A hundred and one. You've got a fever."

"Is that bad?" Anna ventured.

"Not too bad. It's just a mild one. With plenty of fluids and rest, you'll be back on your feet in two or three days. In the meantime, you'll get to miss school and stay home with your sister all day."

The strawberry blonde grinned. "I like the sound of that."

Rapunzel laughed. "I thought you would."

"…bye."

Elsa hung up the phone and placed it down on the counter. Thankfully the company she worked for had a sick child policy and she took the next few days off just in case Anna's sickness lingered. She walked down the hall to her sister's room just in time to see Rapunzel slip a fresh nightgown over the girl's head. She helped her into the sleeves and pulled it down over her bottom.

"So is she going to be okay? Do I need to take her to the hospital?" Elsa asked, walking up beside her friend.

Rapunzel chuckled. "No, there's no need for hospitalization." Elsa breathed a sigh of relief. "But she does have a fever of a hundred and one." She led Elsa to the doorway while Anna was busy playing with Olaf. "You need to be careful."

"Of what?" the blonde asked.

"Fevers can cause dehydration," Rapunzel whispered so Anna wouldn't overhear and become worried. "So it's important that you keep Anna hydrated. I recommend that you give her a glass of orange juice every three hours."

"She doesn't like orange juice."

"Well she's going to have to like it today."

Elsa rolled her eyes. "Is that all I should know?"

"She'll probably have a loss of appetite."

"She barely has one as it is."

"Well that means you're going to have to work extra hard today."

"Great. Is there anything specific she needs to eat?"

"Not really, but a nice chicken or vegetable broth would do and fresh fruit, too. Just stay away from junk food. So that means no chocolate."

"None? At all?"

"Nope. Not even one square."

"That isn't going to be easy."

"As soon as her fever breaks, you can give her some, but until then…be strict. I have to go now." Rapunzel looked over Elsa's shoulder to where Anna was staring at the both of them. "Feel better soon, princess," she crooned.

Elsa smiled at the blushing redhead. "I'll walk you out," she offered. "I'll be right back, Anna."

The two of them made their way to the front door. "Oh!" Rapunzel exclaimed. "Before I forget, I noticed that you had Anna wrapped up in a lot of blankets."

Elsa nodded. "Yeah. She said that she was cold. Was I not supposed to do that?"

"No, you weren't. She needs to stay cool. That's why I dressed her in that thin nightgown rather than those pajama bottoms that don't breathe. You can tuck her in with a light blanket, but that's it." She took a look at the clock and yelped. "I have to go now."

Elsa opened the door for her. "Thanks again for all of your help."

"It's no problem, Elsa. I'll always be here for you and Anna. Keep a track of her temperature. I left the thermometer on her nightstand. If it goes up at all or you have any concerns, call me. I'll try to get here as soon as possible," the brunette called as she ran down the steps to her car.

"Thanks. And bye," Elsa said as she waved and closed the door. She walked to her sister's room to find Anna standing by the door, clutching Olaf in her arms. "What are you doing out of bed?" the older girl asked, ushering Anna back into it.

"I was waiting for you," whimpered the redhead. She let Elsa tug a blanket around her after she laid down.

"I told you that I was coming back," Elsa cooed, sitting down beside her baby sister. "Well I'm yours for the day. What do you want to do that doesn't involve you getting out of bed?"

"Um…" Anna looked up and tapped her finger against her lips. "I wanna watch a movie."

"Of course you do." Elsa got up to sift through the DVD's she had collected over the years that she'd given to Anna. She took out two random movies and looked at the younger girl. "Do you want to watch this one or that one?"

"Both!"

Elsa rolled her eyes. "Figures."

"Elsaaaaa!"

The cry startled the blonde, though it wasn't the only one she'd heard that day. The first was to notify her that the movie had ended and that it was time to put the other one in, while the second was for her to change the washcloth on her sister's forehead. She got up from the kitchen table — her temporary work space. She was able to get a lot of her work done from home, which was probably why her boss was so lenient of letting her stay home. She headed to the living room where Anna was currently residing on the couch. She'd moved her there since it was easier to keep an eye on her.

"What do you need, angel?" she asked once she'd sat beside her sister on the couch.

The redhead blushed. "I hafta pee," she squeaked, clearly embarrassed.

Elsa bit her lip to keep the smile off of her face, not wanting to humiliate her sister any further. "Alright, but as soon as you're done it's time for your glass of orange juice then you're going right back to sleep."

Anna wanted to complain, but she really had to go. Elsa stood up from the couch and took the washcloth — which was becoming quite warm — from her sister's head to set it on the table. She pulled back the blanket and helped her sister up from the chair.

"Keep the door open," the blonde reminded Anna as she tottered down the hall. Elsa wanted to guide her sister there, but the girl had gotten quite upset and frustrated when she'd done so before.

While the younger girl was in the bathroom, Elsa wrung the washcloth out in the sink and left it there to dry. She grabbed a new one and rolled a few cubes of ice in it to replace the one that was previously cooling Anna's forehead. The whole process was becoming rather monotonous and there was nothing she wouldn't do to have the powers of Queen Elsa — a character Anna created based upon herself. Apparently, she could control ice and snow and ruled the kingdom of Arendelle with Princess Anna, Kristoff — the ice harvester — Olaf — a living, breathing, talking snowman — and Sven — the reindeer — by her side.

That girl sure had an active imagination.

She poured a glass of orange juice and put it on the table in the living room along with the washcloth. She looked up to see Anna moving toward her on unsteady feet. She rushed to help her, but Anna just pushed her away. "No, Elsie," she grunted. "I don't need help."

Elsa exhaled through her nose. "Anna, you can barely walk on your own. Just let me help you."

The redhead remained defiant, but relented after she tried to take another step and wobbled into her sister's arms. Elsa picked her up and laid her gently on the couch. She pulled the blanket over her legs and put the cup in Anna's hands.

"Drink up," Elsa ordered.

Anna eyed the beverage with mild disgust. "But I don't like orange juice," she whined.

"Just drink it."

"But I don't—"

"Anna… Don't make me put it in a bottle to give to you myself."

"You wouldn't really do that."

"Try me."

Anna wouldn't put it past her sister to do something like that, so, with great reluctance, she downed the bitter juice and gave her sister the glass once done. The blonde placed it on the table and laid the towel on the younger girl's forehead.

"Is there anything else you need before I get back to my work?" she asked.

Anna nodded. "I need you to read me to sleep."

Elsa smiled. "Alright, I'll go get a bo—"

"Uh-uh! Make up a story."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. You can continue the adventures of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna if you want to."

Elsa sighed. "Ah, yes… Well, it was a hot day in the kingdom of Arendelle where air conditioning hadn't been invented yet, so Princess Anna did the only thing she could think of: bug her sister with magical powers…"

I just wanted to say that I've started writing fanfics again. I know that I kind of ended it with this story, but I'm back and for those of you who liked my Big Sister Elsa story, I've got a new one titled Safe and Warm that's kind of the same thing. Just canon-verse sisterly love one-shots between Anna and Elsa.

Also I'm honestly considering opening this story back up because I think that there's still a lot I could write about with these two. Let me know what you guys think about that. Just know that it'd probably be a while until I actually posted anything new.
