The Land where a Legend once Lived

Author note: I just want to say thank you to those who are reading this story and waiting patiently for me to update a new chapter. I also want to say thank you to the person who actually doesn't care about what writing style to use. I have been forcing myself to write that one writing style for the last few chapters after chapter three and let me tell you, it's really annoying to me. So here what I'm going to do. I am going to continue using the script writing style like i did before. If you don't like what the idea of me doing that, so be it because I'm done using that other writing style. So, either you deal with it and continue reading the story or you don't read it at all. Simple as that. With that now out of the way, enjoy the chapter.

The episode begins with Akari laying down by a nearby tree.

Akari: 'Ahhh, this is the life.'

Suddenly, two shadows washed over her, cutting away the sunlight. She looked up at the source and see Alfred and Kayo standing above her.

Alfred: Excuse me, Miss. Is everything okay?

Akari: Yeah. I'm just here relaxing. Nothing of the usual.

Alfred: I see.

Kayo: [notices that Momiji and the others isn't around] Where is that annoying red hair girl and the other two at?

Akari: Well, Momiji and Tatsuo are training Climbing trees over there. [points to the left where Momiji and Tatsuo still running up the same trees and falling]

Alfred: I see.

Akari: And as for my daughter, she's over there doing her usual stuff.

Kaida is seen looking up at the trees in awe to see how beautiful it looks. She sees a bird flying around and whistles at it, calling it over. The bird hear this and flew down and landed on one of Kaida's fingers from her right arm.

Alfred: Seems like she's enjoying life as well.

Akari: That's my Kaida for you. She's more of a nature person than a people person. Has been like that ever since she was little.

Alfred: I see.

Akari: Yeah. Anyway, was there something you two want?

Kayo: Well, that old lady wanted to know is you are a medical ninja so you can help heal up Akiara and Akito's wounds.

Akari: Is that so, huh? Well i can see what i can do. Hey, Kaida! I'm going to go heal those two people who helped us up! Take an eye on your teammates for me, alright?!

Kaida: They can look after themselves. I'm going to explore for a little bit. [leaves]

Akari: Like i said, not a people person.

Alfred: I can see that now.

Kayo: But are you sure we can leave her like that? I mean, she does got a wounded arm.

Akari: Don't worry about her. She can handle herself. She is my daughter after all.

Kayo: Ok. If you say so.

Akari: Alright, let's go.

Akari, Alfred, and Kayo start walking towards the two old people's house. Meanwhile, Kaida is continuing her walk to the woods when she saw something on the ground a few feet ahead of her. It turns out to be two baby chipmunks mourning their mother's death. She walks up to them and alerted the baby chipmunks.

Kaida: It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you. [sees the dead mother chipmunk] 'She must have sacrifice herself to protect her kids from something. Or some heartless person killed her for fun! Whatever the case is, i can't let her abandoned her kids.'

Kaida picked up the dead mother chipmunk with her right hand and use her clan's special ability to heal the mother chipmunk back to life.

Kaida: There. That should do it. [the mother chipmunk opens her eyes and start looking around] Welcome back to the world of the living. I'm gonna put you down so you can reunite with your babies.

Kaida put the mother chipmunk and watched her reuniting with her babies with a smile on her face. However, after the chipmunk family left, Kaida sensed that someone was watching her. So she drew out her sword in case if that person decides to attack.

Kaida: [on high alert] Who's there?! Show yourself!

Kaida looked around to see if anyone was that but it was nothing there.

Kaida: 'sigh' must have been my imagination.

Without her knowing, someone was slowly creeping up behind her and put their hand on her left shoulder, which causing Kaida to draw out her sword once again in response and is about to attack whoever it is behind her. The person that was creeping up on Kaida was her mother, Akari, who caught the sword to prevent Kaida from killing her.

Akari: Whoa! Easy there, tiger. It's only just me.

Kaida: [tuning her back towards her mother] What do you want?

Akari: I just came to check on you to see how you're holding.

Kaida: I'm fine. I didn't ask you to check up on me. I was doing fine on my own.

Akari: Sure you were. So, what was you doing out here?

Kaida: What i was doing is non of business and you know it.

Akari: Yeah, i know. Kaida...

Kaida: [annoyed] What?

Akari: Nothing. Coming on. Let's go. We'll be late for dinner.

Kaida: Whatever.

Akari watched as her daughter walked away from her, which made her sad not because that she did that, it was because of her behavior.

Akari: 'You really have changed a lot since then.'

Later that night, Team 9, Akiara and Akito, And Alfred and Kayo are eating dinner with Asahi.

Akito: Man, this is great!

Akiara: Thanks for the dinner!

Elder lady: You're welcome.

Momiji and Tatsuo: I want some more! [they yelled in unison]

They turned at each other and their lightning glares clashed with one another's.

Kaida: If you two continue eating too much too fast, the both you are going to puke.

Despite hearing her warning, Momiji and Tatsuo still ate too fast to the point that turned fast and puked.

Kaida: Told ya. [notices Asahi staring at the family photo] Not to be rude or anything, but why has he been staring at that photo for a hour now?

Asahi: Why do you want to know?! It's non of your damn business! [runs off upset]

Elder lady: ASAHI!

Elder man: Let him be, honey. There's nothing there is to do now.

Momiji: I'm confuse. What just happened? Does he know someone on that photo?

Elder man: Yes, he does. See that man on the right side of Asahi? That's his father.

Momiji: His father, huh? What happened to him?

Elder man: Before i answer that, let me tell you a story about him. They called him a legend around here. He protect any travelers from the evil ninjas from the shadow village by using his amazing power. You see, Asahi's mother, our daughter, die after giving birth to him. So apart from his, his grandparents, the only other person he ever cared about was his father. Those two were very close back then. Heck, back then Asahi used to smile and laugh and played all the time until...that one fateful day...

Momiji: What happened on one fateful day?

Tears started to leak out of his eyes as he continues to tell them the story.

Elder man: Like i said before, Asahi's was a legend around here. Protecting those who are unfortunate to cross the evil ninjas from the shadow village. He stopped them one by one and was even title: The Undefeated Ninja. But on that very day, he left our home after hearing that a nearby village was being attacked. He took Asahi that he will be back before leaving and Asahi has been waiting day after day after day. A few more days came by and someone from the village our son-in-law went to, came to our house and said that his father was killed during a battle that was going on at and gives us what was left of him. After that day, he lost two things. His father and any hope of there every be a hero or legend.

Kaida: I see. I'm sorry to hear that.

After the story ended, everyone were more empathetic. Especially Kaida since she knows what it's like to lost someone close to her. Akari sees them and understand what her daughter is going through and becomes sad about it.

Momiji got up from the table and walked to the door.

Akari: Momiji, where are going?

Momiji: To go prove that there are heroes and legends around in this world. And I'm not going to stop until i show not just Asahi, but everyone that people like Asahi's dad still exist to this very day. You can count on it. [leaves]

Akari: 'She is really determined to do so.' [smiles] 'Momiji, you really are your mother's daughter.'
