A couple of days had past since Chuck and Diana's fight, Sonic had volunteered to look keep an eye on Chris (also because he was trying to win his little wager with Diana [AU: reference to Chapter6])
The girls had gone out to get groceries, Tails had taken the X-Tornado out, Chuck went out somewhere. And Diana...Sonic didn't really care where she was...but he had to admit something about her

She was right
She was right, about the whole wondering off thing.
Chris had tried to sneak out for the house for the past few days, the kid was getting tired of being cooped up (not that Sonic could blame him, he would've done the same if it were him)
But it was starting to get harder and harder to keep the kid to stay put, Sonic had to resort to tying his friend up to a post. And...it didn't work...
Oh come on where is he, he couldn't have gotten that far I've been looking for him for the past half hour, Sonic thought as he was running through the city trying to find the escapee
"Seriously how did he manage to get away so quickly? I tied him turned around for one minute and the next he's gone" he said aloud
He stopped to ask someone if they've seen a brown dog, to which they replied no. He then ran off again
"Let's see if I were a kid...ah...turned puppy where would I go? Soccer field, no, a friend's house, no, the park, that seems like a good place to start and there is one close by to the house" so with a starting point the blue hedgehog ran off to the park
Right I've searched this park twice and he doesn't seem to be here, where to next. Sonic was standing on the branch of a tree and was about to jump but Just before the hedgehog could leave the sound of voices stopped him
"A puppy it's so cute" "let's play with it" "let's put this on it" "I don't think the colour matches its brown fur"
Sonic turned around and saw a group of little kids huddling around something
Sonic was trying to see what they were talking about and as soon as a gap appeared, the blue hedgehog had to hold on to the tree to stop him from falling out of it
Right in the middle of the kiddie group was Chris being held by a little girl with black hair, whilst a blonde haired boy started tying a large pink frilly bow around Chris' neck. The look on Chris' face was of desperateness of getting out of there, Sonic was feeling sorry for him and was contemplating whether he should get him out of their
But on the other hand it's his own fault that he's in that mess, if he didn't run away in the first place then he wouldn't be in that situation. So I think I'll let him suffer for a bit before saving him. The hedgehog thought enjoying himself as he watched his friend's struggle.
He then saw a man with a disposable camera and a smirk came on his face. He then jumped down and went up to the man
"Excuse me but is it okay if I borrow that camera for a minute?" Sonic asked
The man nodded and said "sure" as he handed Sonic the camera
"Thanks" Sonic then walked over towards the kids
"Hey Chris"
The said pup turned his head towards the sound of his name and his eyes widened just as there was a flash
Sonic clicked the camera and as soon as the photo came out he gave the camera back to its owner
Sonic looked back at the photo he took, Chris wearing a large pink frilly bow with a shocked expression on his face
Sonic chuckled, hehe yep definitely a blackmail photo I could use this if he ever tries to run away again
Sonic then looked back to his friend, who was looking at him with a pleading look to help him
Well I think that's enough suffering for him Sonic concluded as walked towards the little black haired girl who was still holding his friend
He kneeled down to her
"Hey there sorry to interrupt but I think your holding my friend there, can I have him back please" he asked her
The girl looked at him and then down at Chris and then back to Sonic
"No"
"Huh?" Sonic said dumbfounded
"I said NO! This is MY doggy and you can't have it! It's mine! It's mine! ITS MINE!" Screeched the girl whilst starting to squeeze onto Chris who was starting to turn blue from lack of air. The blue hedgehog started backing away from the girl a bit
Sonic didn't know what to do, luckily for him the girl's mother came and took the girl away after apologising for her actions
Chris was left gasping for breath whilst Sonic sighed in relief
"Whew for a minute there I thought you were going to become someone's pet" he said whilst taking the bow off the pup
"Right you had enough adventures for one day?" Sonic asked his friend
Chris nodded and gave a small bark
"Ok let's go home then" Sonic said
"Oh ho ho I'm afraid you're not going anywhere Sonic!"
Sonic and Chris froze knowing who that voice belonged too, the two turned around to face it
"Dr Eggman!"
"Mattaku this is boring"
Diana yawned as she continued to stare at the computer screen; she had just gotten her nephew's test results and was going over them
"RBCs are normal, Plts also normal, huh! That's strange...his WBCs are higher than normal...now why is that" she said to herself
She kept scrolling down the page to find out more
As she read the results her eyes went wide, she then stood up so suddenly causing her chair to fall backwards
"SOU NA!"
