AN: I KNOW IT'S BEEN LIKE FIVE YEARS SINCE I'VE UPDATED BUT I'M SO SORRY. I'm not giving up this fic I've just been so busy lately I kinda neglected it!

How about a long chapter to make up for it?

Somebody asked about Klaus's age and I'm gonna say early twenties and be mysterious lol cause I'm not sure how old Klaus was when he turned into a vampire so yeah!

It gets smutty in this chapter, though I'm going to leave the rating T because if I change it to M then fanfiction won't display it. Skip those parts if you don't want to read, nothing huge really happens!

Thank you to klarolinelove101 (on tumblr) for being my beta!

Anyways, happy reading!

Caroline had returned from her shopping trip with Vicki much later than she had originally planned. The actress had insisted on taking Caroline to a little Bistro she knew about that had the worlds best scones -her words not Caroline's. Though, they were pretty amazing. However by the time they were ready to leave, the paparazzi had caught wind that Vicki was in the area and surrounded the building within minutes.

Noticing Caroline's distress, Vicki had offered to take the back way out stating that it wasn't the first time she'd had to run out the back door to avoid being photographed, but Caroline was hesitant. She wanted to be with Klaus and wasn't this his life? Wasn't baring himself to the world and then letting the hate roll off his back part of the way he lived? It was. Caroline had to learn to function with the unfortunate aspects of his daily life as well as the good -more like amazing.

Vicki took hold of Caroline's hand which she hadn't realized was shaking until their was another person stopping it from moving. "You alright?" The brunette asked with a sweet smile. Caroline felt grateful for the actress in that moment, knowing that for whatever reason Vicki had chosen to become Caroline's friend instead of being the bitter ex-girlfriend. Way to crush the stereotypes. "Don't worry Tanner is gonna be right behind us." She pointed to the man standing near the door that Caroline had come to know as Vicki's body guard.

He wasn't particularly tall -he was about Caroline's height actually- but he was built with a lot of muscle. He had the kind of face that looked as if it belonged in the navy, serious and hard working. Tanner's black hair was trimmed short, just in case a rabid fan made a reach for him. Absentmindedly Caroline ran her fingers through her own hair, just to make sure it was still there.

"Let's just get it over with." She declared, her voice shaking when she heard a loud commotion outside. Together, the girls walked towards the exit with Tanner bringing up the rear. He held his hands on the small of their backs to guide them through the crowd. Now that Caroline thought about it she never really saw Klaus's bodyguard, but she figured that had more to do with the fact that she wasn't paying attention. Or maybe he didn't have one. She'd have to ask him.

Outside was chaos, which was the nicest way to describe it. Cameras were flashing in her face every five seconds, words of curiosity being screamed into her face as she pushed through the never ending entanglement of limbs. Vicki's firm grasp on Caroline's hand was the only thing keeping her from having a breakdown in the middle of the crowd. She heard somebody asking about Klaus, but the ending of the question died off as they finally reached the SUV.

Tanner nearly shoved them into the back before slamming the door. Caroline decided that he was being more concerned and protective then rude. Vicki leaned backed against the leather interior, her brown curls falling gracefully over her shoulders, "I hate that."

Caroline let out the breath she didn't know she was holding, "I do too." She shook her head, "I can't imagine going through that everyday."

Vicki closed both eyes, taking in the silence that the car brought them. Caroline was wondering why it was taking so long for the vehicle to start, but then the ignition sounded in her ears and she stopped wondering. The brunette opened one eye, "You're pretty lucky you know?"

She wasn't exactly sure what that was supposed to mean. "I guess." Caroline hadn't really been all that lucky growing up. Divorced parents, always second best to Elena Gilbert. She did get cheer leading captain, but that's because Elena tumbled during the tryouts and Caroline didn't.

Laughter filled the car, "You're serious?" Vicki stopped relaxing then and leaned forward. She wasn't angry or upset, just unable to comprehend. "You met Klaus at Comic-Con and captured his heart, I mean we never would have shot in Middle Falls if you hadn't told him you lived there."

Caroline was taken back by two things at that moment. 1) Klaus had fallen for her so quickly and 2) Middle Falls was a stupid name. She had known that Klaus found her somewhat attractive when they'd first met because hello they were dating, but she hadn't realized in her haze of meeting him that perhaps while she was fangirling over him, he was falling for her.

Yet all Caroline could say was, "It's Mystic Falls." That made Vicki laugh like an idiot, but of course she still sounded like an angel. There was no way to one up this woman.

-o-

Klaus was waiting for her when she returned to the apartment. Tanner was going to walk her up to the door, but it was an enclosed building so there was no reason for all the hassle. She smiled at him kindly before bidding Vicki goodbye and slipping out of the car.

Caroline set her shopping bags down in her room, tucking the dress that Vicki had bought her into one of the bottom drawers for safe keeping. Klaus watched from the doorway with an amused smirk. "Must you pack away everything?"

She glared at him playfully, "You're just jealous. I bet your rooms a mess." It occurred to her then that she'd never actually seen Klaus's room. She wondered what colour it was, what kind of pictures he had hanging around, did he put his drawings up anywhere? Yes Klaus was an amazing drawer but he didn't like to show it off. However, one night when she was particularly tired she asked him what he was doing because from her side of the camera he was just moving his hands down there and it looked ridiculous. Klaus had chuckled and showed her his sketch of her, falling asleep between the pillows of her couch.

Klaus pushed away from the door frame, breaking Caroline out of her boyfriend induced daydream. The real thing was always better anyways. "I'm barely in my room, it's perfectly fine love."

"Why?" She enquired, watching as his long legs carried him towards her. Caroline's gut began to squirm with the thought of him touching her. Every time his skin made contact with hers she felt as if the ground beneath her had tumbled away, and she was floating.

Klaus grabbed her hips, tugging her forward. "What do you mean 'why'?" She had to take a moment to catch her breath from their sudden closeness.

"Why are you never in your room?" She whispered because his lips were pressing against her cheek, her jaw, her neck. Caroline's entire body was on fire whenever he'd run his mouth over her fragile skin, she wanted nothing more than to hold him there forever until they both turned to ashes.

Through kisses Klaus explained, "Long nights," kisses her on her collarbone, "early mornings." Then he found her lips, and Caroline didn't care about the fact that he hardly used his room, she just wanted to be with him.

A loud knock interrupted them, "Sorry to break the love fest up, but there is a dashing Mikaelson brother in the living room waiting for you." Damon was smirking like the asshole he was, which made Caroline roll her eyes.

Though she had to admit that the idea of meeting one of Klaus's brothers didn't seem like such a horrible thing. Klaus however seemed more then just pissed off. "Which one is it then?" He asked through clenched teeth.

Damon smiled wickedly, "Finn." Klaus groaned. From what Caroline knew about the three brothers Klaus had, was that he loved them but he hated them too. He talked about them rarely, but whenever he did Klaus made it seem as if he was the eternal fuck up and his brothers just ran around picking up the pieces, except Henrik. Henrik was only thirteen and didn't really give a shit about what Klaus did and didn't do wrong.

Caroline grabbed Klaus's hand, "Well don't keep him waiting!" She began pulling him towards where Damon stood. Klaus seemed to be surprised by her enthusiasm, but followed along as they walked past the raven haired man.

"I think you may be too excited love." Klaus tried to stop her from running down the stairs but Caroline was persistent, tugging him down the first few steps. "Finn isn't the type of man that cracks jokes." He thought for a moment, "or smiles for that matter."

Caroline stopped moving, planting her feet on the steps to turn and looks at her boyfriend. That never gets old. "I haven't met anyone from your family yet, but you've met my mom." He opened his mouth to speak but Caroline cuts him off, "I'm at a disadvantage."

Klaus appeared as if he were going to argue, but then he caved into her desires. "Fine have it your way." His smirk was playful as he wrapped his arm around her waist, leading her once again down the stairs towards his older brother.

Caroline didn't know whether being optimistic about the up and coming meet was a good idea anymore. Perhaps she should enter in with a little bit of self doubt. What if Finn was one of those posh guys that stared her up and down with pursed lips and barely acknowledged her throughout the whole encounter? She hated those kind of people. Rebekah was that kind of person.

When they entered the living room Caroline's eyes immediately landed on a man standing in front of the television with his back to them, but he wasn't watching anything. He heard them enter and turned slowly, his eyes locking with Caroline's and halting her.

Finn was older then Klaus and much taller. His jawline was so sharp it could cut diamonds she was sure of it. Caroline's eyes roamed his frame, taking in how he didn't seem to be large muscularly, but managed to hold a huge presence in the room. He held his fists clasped together behind his back. It was an innocent enough posture, but Caroline saw the hidden predator behind it. She felt Klaus's hand grip her tighter and she appreciated it. The whole situation reminded Caroline of being scolded as a child. Finn held that kind of disappointed parental vibe that made her feel small.

"Hello brother, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" Klaus was speaking in his sarcastic voice and Caroline could tell. He didn't want Finn there, and now that Caroline had seen him she wasn't sure if she did either.

Finn completely ignored Klaus and went right for the blond at his side, "This must be the lovely Caroline I've heard so much about." Caroline looked up to her boyfriend. She had thought that Klaus didn't talk to his brothers much.

"You've talked about me?"

Finn let out a low chuckle, "No I haven't spoken to Niklaus in ages, but I have been reading things online." Caroline's heart clenched in her chest. People had been talking about her? God she had to be the stupidest person alive believing that she could date Klaus Mikaelson and nobody would think twice about her. "You don't have a twitter do you?"

Caroline hadn't noticed Klaus's grip tighten until he was nearly growling at his brother, "Drop it Finn."

Caroline -like Finn did moments ago- ignored Klaus and spoke to the other Mikaelson in the room. "I d-do but I never use it." She shuttered thinking of all the terrible words people could be writing about her. How harmful those insults would be to her already fragile self esteem.

Finn cracked a smile, one side of his mouth raising higher then the other. Caroline could see the similarities between Klaus and him then. "Well I'm glad to hear that. People can be so rude." His hands moved from behind him to his sides, making Caroline feel a tad more at ease.

"Why are you here?" Klaus sounded frustrated with his kin, but Caroline couldn't blame him. It wasn't that Finn was doing anything inappropriate but she'd seen Elena fighting with her siblings before and sometimes the mere sight of them would cause World War III in the Gilbert home.

He titled his head and focused his eyes on Caroline, "I came to meet your girlfriend Niklaus. Elijah wanted to come, but he was busy." Klaus rolled his eyes. "I was thinking maybe we could get together for supper this Friday?"

Klaus opened his mouth to say what Caroline could only assume was 'no' but she jumped in before he could. "That sounds wonderful!" She offered him her biggest and brightest Caroline Forbes smile which he returned with his own half-arsed version.

Klaus was not happy with her accepting the offer, but he'd have to suck it up. Relationships were fifty-fifty and if he didn't want to go to the supper then he didn't have to. Their eyes met in a fight between who should really be mad at who, but it only took moments before Klaus broke under her glare. "Where to then brother?"

"Gladstone's." He spoke clearly, obviously having his whole proposition planned out beforehand. "You know the lovely one with the view?"

Klaus nodded, "Yes I know the one."

"Perfect. I'll see you both then." Finn's smirk was devilish. Oh yes, Caroline could see the family resemblance.

-o-

Friday rolled around all too quickly for Caroline's liking and it had nothing to do with the fact that her dinner with Finn and Elijah was approaching but because her vacation with Klaus was becoming shorter and shorter. She wished to remain with him for the rest of her life if that was possible -but it wasn't. Caroline had her mom and she had school. She may have been eighteen but she needed to graduate and at least try her hand at University or College or whatever.

Their days together had been more amazing then she ever could have imagined. Klaus took her everywhere he could think of -even those overdone tourist attractions. They went to the beach one day, it was overcrowded and hot but Caroline loved it. Especially the sight of Klaus without his shirt on. However, Caroline had never been much of a swimmer so when she refused to go in the water. Klaus couldn't understand why she loved the beach but wouldn't go swimming -she just didn't like being wet- so the bastard picked her up and tossed her into an oncoming wave. Which lead to a war of who could get the most salt water in each others eyes. Honestly it was childish and pathetic but she couldn't remember a time before that when she'd felt so alive.

It did come to her surprise though during the afternoon on Friday -Klaus was working- and she was sitting in her room with a box of Oreos she'd taken from the kitchen when her phone rang. Caroline reached towards the bed side table to answer it, "hello?" She said with crumbs covering her lips.

"Are you eating?" It was Bonnie. Caroline hadn't looked at the caller ID before answering but she knew that there were only so many people that would take the time to dial her number and call. "Classy Caroline."

Caroline laughed, "If I don't eat the Oreos now, then Damon will," she swallowed, "and I'll never get any." That seemed to spark an interest in Bonnie that Caroline would never understand. Damon was just a pretty package with garbage inside.

Bonnie chuckled, "Is he as hot in person?" Caroline rolled her eyes. "I'm only asking for Elena of course."

She pushed the Oreos off of her stomach where they'd been residing and sat up, feeling crumbs tumble from her mouth down to her bedding. Well that's not gonna be fun to clean. "Of course you are Bonnie. Truth is he's a jerk."

Sounding disappointed Bonnie said, "Well they can't all be winners." That was the understatement of the century. Thinking back on her conversation with Vicki, Caroline was lucky when it came to Klaus. Everybody always says "Don't meet your idol" because the expectations are always greater than the reality, but Caroline felt like she won the lottery. Klaus wasn't the guy she thought she knew, he was somebody else entirely, and she admired every bit of him. The way he laughed in public was different then when he was just waking up, or whenever he drank milk he'd only drink half a cup to make sure he was truly thirsty, then once that half was gone he'd refill it to the same spot and drink the other portion of his cup. It was honestly ridiculous.

"So speaking of Klaus's co-stars I saw you were out with Vicki Donovan." It wasn't a question, just a statement. Caroline felt almost exposed by the news.

"Is my face plastered everywhere?" She whined, flopping back down onto the bed. She hated the publicity. Why did people care about her? She wasn't even famous.

If they'd been in the same room Caroline knew Bonnie would be making her 'I'm really sorry Caroline' face. She used to use it a lot during Freshman year when Elena got all the guy attention and Caroline sat in the back with a fake smile on. Though, Bonnie was not there so Caroline was saved from having to feel her pity face in person. "Well you have been in the tabloids a lot lately." She slapped her forehead. "Shopping with Vicki, beach with Klaus. You're pretty busy." Bonnie seemed hesitant to continue but she eventually sucked it up and spoke, "If it makes you feel any better they seem to like you."

Caroline rolled onto her side. Well them liking her was an added bonus, but the fact that she was in the magazines enough for them to try to form an opinion on her made her queasy. Maybe one good thing could come out of it. "Did Kol see?"

Bonnie chuckled, "He and Rebekah took off to Hawaii for Christmas break and I doubt they're spending their time looking at the internet."

She nearly screamed, "How the hell is it possible that he keeps dodging all this shit? What the hell is this?!" Caroline was furious because it was literally impossible. Okay maybe not literally but what the holy hell?

"Don't worry Care, we'll get him eventually." She reassured the blonde who was about to have a mental breakdown. "So what are you doing tonight?"

Bonnie's voice was soft and comforting, it made Caroline momentarily forget that somewhere out there Kol was probably telling his new Hawaiian buddies that this idiot of a girl he knew back home thought she was dating Klaus Mikaelson. Caroline brushed the thoughts aside as she answered, "I have a date with Klaus tonight. Except his brothers are coming along."

"Well that sounds charming. Are they all as hot as him?"

Caroline laughed, "Bonnie Bennett! What would Kol think?"

"Oh who cares," Bonnie followed along in Caroline's cheerfulness, "He's probably flirting with a hula dancer right now."

She shook her head, "You're not even a little bit jealous then?"

Bonnie sighed, "I think we both know Kol values his life, and if he ever cheated on me he'd be dead before he could get a word out." Truer words have never been spoken, Caroline thought with a smile on her lips.

The girls talked for a little while longer before Caroline had to bid Bonnie goodbye. Not just because of her now insanely huge long distance phone bill but because it was almost time for Klaus to come home and go to dinner.

Caroline took the dress that Vicki bought her out of the bottom drawer, running her hands along the material not able to believe she actually owned something so expensive. She almost felt guilty putting it on. Almost.

The top of the dress clung to her body in all the right places, it even made it look as if she didn't have any armpit flub. That's always the worst part about dresses. Everybody has it at some point in her life, but Caroline was glad it wasn't right then. The bottom was made of feathers which made her feel like a swan and not the ugly duckling. Not that Caroline found herself to be disgusting or anything, but she knew that there were girls out there with skinnier bodies and more defined cheekbones. The girls that society called beautiful.

She knew she was beautiful just not as much.

Caroline made her way down the staircase, her curls bouncing against the exposed skin on her back with each step. Somebody whistled from the living room as she appeared. It was Damon. "Looking good Blondie."

She offered him a sarcastic smile, not letting herself fall prey to the Damon charm. "Thanks Damon."

There was an awkward waiting period between them as he played video games extremely loud and quite well -though she'd never tell him- and Caroline sat in an armchair, blowing a loose curl up and down as it landed on her face.

Luckily her phone rang which gave her something to do besides pretend Damon wasn't in the room. It turned out to be Vicki. "Oh hey!" Caroline greeted happily.

Vicki sounded bored, "Hey, what are you up to tonight?" Caroline should have probably wondered why Vicki wanted to spend so much time with her even though she had all these cool LA friends. Yes she did know Selena Gomez – Caroline asked.

Caroline brushed it off anyways, "I'm going on a date with Klaus. I'm meeting his brothers." That seemed to perk Vicki's interests.

"Oh where are you going?" She used the kind of voice teenage girls did whenever they got home from hanging out with their boyfriends and called up their girl friends to gossip. Caroline was used to that kind of behavior. The first couple months after Bonnie and Kol started dating had been filled with hours of phone conversations that Liz wasn't fond of.

She had to think about it for a moment, "Gladstone's? I think that was it."

"I love that place!" She nearly yelled. "You'll have so much fun." Caroline really hoped so. They talked for a little while longer -nothing huge just idle chit-chat- before Vicki had to go take a shower and they said goodbye.

Finally Klaus arrived, walking in so quickly Caroline almost thought he was on fire. "Sorry I'm late I didn't-" He froze when he saw her. She'd stood to meet him, pulling her dress down to cover more of her thighs. Klaus looked at her as if she were the one singular axes on which the world spun. Caroline had to admit, it was nice to be admired so intensely, she could get used to it.

"It's okay." She smiled gently at him. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Klaus finally found the ability inside of him to move, his lips spreading wide on his face as he extended a hand to her. He was already wearing a dress shirt and pants; he probably stole them from set knowing he would never have time to change when he got home. "Then let's go shall we?"

"Please leave I have somebody coming over!" Damon called to them, obviously not having been paying attention to their conversation. If he had he would have known their feet were almost out the door.

Klaus called back, "If we arrive home to you with a naked woman then I'm kicking you out!" Damon laughed, but Caroline saw that Klaus was deadly serious. Poor Damon and his naive way of thinking.

-o-

The restaurant was more beautiful then anything Caroline could have imagined, shrouded in golden light the whole place seemed as if it were trying to compete with Heaven. The view was to die for, Caroline had never seen anything as breathtaking. The Mikaelson boys really knew how to pick em'. Klaus held her hand in his, their intertwined fingers were her only anchor to reality as she took in the beauty of the room. He pointed her in the direction of two men sitting in the corner next to a large window. Finn was one of them and Caroline had to assume the other was Elijah. He had a gentle smile on his face, but he sat with a sort of confidence that would make him appear harsh. As they approached, Caroline watched Klaus himself, grin and figured that Elijah was the favorite brother.

"Elijah." He greeted, nodding his head towards the dark haired man.

Elijah stood to meet them but Finn made no move to look the least bit interested as he examined his menu. "Niklaus it's good to see you. It's been too long." He reached his hand out to shake his brothers before he noticed Caroline. "You must be Miss Forbes, it's a pleasure to meet you." Caroline was shocked when Elijah abruptly grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it.

Stumbling over her words she greeted him, "Um, it's ah, good to meet you." She could feel her cheeks turning deep red at how much of an idiot she was. Her skin almost felt like it was turning into fire. Eyes moving upward to glance at Klaus she noticed his smirk. What an idiot.

The three took their seats and Finn finally looked up, "Ah Caroline, nice to see you again." She smiled at him. "What a lovely dress."

"Thanks!" Caroline ran her fingers across of the fabric of her skirt. "Vicki Donovan bought it for me."

Finn cocked an eyebrow, "Vicki Donovan? As in Klaus's ex-girlfriend?" Klaus shot daggers at his big brother, but honestly it didn't bother Caroline as much as it could have. She'd made peace with the whole situation ever since Vicki started being kind to her. Girl power and all right?

"Yes, she's been really nice to me." Caroline didn't want to discuss it anymore and Finn seemed to get the idea. He didn't ask any more questions about it, merely shrugged it off with a knowing smirk.

Elijah cleared his throat before he began to talk, "So how did you two meet?"

"I'd rather not get into twenty questions dear brother." Klaus interrupted, his lips closed thinly in anger. Caroline thought it was kind of adorable. She ran a caring hand down his arm making him shoot a glance her way.

"It's alright Klaus, he just cares about you." She imagined that Elijah felt the need to make sure Klaus wasn't dating a gold digging bitch, which she had to admire. Caroline sometimes felt jealous of people with siblings, wishing she could have somebody that would protect her with their life. Embarrassing the hell out of her by doing the good cop/bad cop act on her potential romantic interests or showing off all her dumb baby pictures to anybody who would give them the time of day.

Elijah titled his head at her, eyes skimming along her features. "How wonderful that somebody as intelligent as Caroline here settled for somebody like you, Niklaus."

Klaus faked laughter obviously hiding his hurt behind it, "Always so kind 'Lijah. How is your love life may I ask?" Caroline could tell that there was a back story hidden between them somewhere, but she thought it best not to ask. Shifting uncomfortably Elijah didn't answer.

The dinner went on much better the rest of the night. The Mikaelson brothers asked Caroline questions about herself and her family. She told them about how her mom was a cop and when she was little Caroline was always the one getting into trouble because of it. Even if Elena had done something fifty times worse Caroline always got the biggest punishment. She told them about her cheer leading and about all of her committees. Prom was soon which was going to be fun. Caroline admired that they never once looked at her as if she was an immature high school student -which she still sort of was- but more like a girl happy about her future and where she was currently in life.

Both of them seemed to be nice enough. Caroline wasn't sure why Klaus had been nervous about them meeting. Elijah had been nothing but a gentlemen and while Finn was still a little rough around the edges he was kind enough to her. Klaus even laughed a few times during the whole thing. She really was the luckiest girl in the world right now, she concluded. She was surrounded by the Mikaelson brothers and none of them were unattractive in the slightest.

They bid their goodbyes with smiles and handshakes so Caroline called that a success.

The SUV was waiting for them outside, Klaus commented on how lucky they were that the press hadn't found them. "That was terrifying when they caught me and Vicki." Caroline sat in the middle of the backseats, leaning against Klaus's shoulder.

He rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand comfortingly, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there."

She thought back to their date at Comic-Con, about the pregnant rumors. God it felt like a lifetime ago that he was appearing at her hotel door with a cheap magazine in his hands. "Well you were there the first time it happened."

His eyebrows knitted together as he thought, "Yes, I suppose I was." Caroline playfully slapped him, "What was that for?"

She chuckled, "For having to think about it." Klaus grinned so wide his dimples showed, and Caroline couldn't stop herself from burying her face into his shoulder. He smelt like Axe that was laced with paint. Caroline couldn't help herself from taking in the scent with a joyous expression. She wondered if he thought she was being creepy, breathing him in as if she'd never see or touch him again. Almost as if she wanted to imprint his scent into her lungs. Caroline couldn't help it -she was completely mind blown by him in every sense.

A loud noise broke her from her Klaus induced trance, her head shot up to capture the image of a hand landing on the window. Klaus didn't even jump, but rather looked annoyed. "What was that?" She asked with a shaking voice.

Klaus pulled her closer -if that was even possible- and explained, "I think the press found us." Caroline felt her stomach drop at the thought of having to walk through another crowd of screaming camera abusers. Noticing her distress Klaus reassured her, "Don't worry Love, my driver knows what to do."

"What?" She raised a curious eyebrow at him. Wondering how many times he'd been in this situation.

Klaus began to speak softly, trying to keep her calm. It was almost as if he could feel her heart beating out of her chest. "We're going to cut down a side street and switch vehicles and then the SUV will continue on. Hopefully the press will follow it instead of the car." She didn't feel too confident in the plan but he did. "Trust me love, it works all the time."

"So the car will take us back to your place?"

Then he made a face. It was the kind of expression that Caroline recognized from herself. Whenever she had to confess to her mother that she'd been a bad daughter. Again. "We may have to stay in a hotel for the night." Together? "Is that a problem?"

If that meant Caroline would get to sleep in the same room as Klaus then she couldn't see any problem with it. "That's fine." Play it cool Caroline, play it cool. "I don't mind."

-o-

The plan went along pretty well despite Caroline's still present doubt. She kept looking behind her to check for cameras, but every time she realized there was nobody there. Klaus made fun of her for being so paranoid, but could he really blame her? She wasn't used to it like he was.

They went to a hotel named Radley which Klaus apparently used a lot because the doormen greeted him by his first name and the front desk lady didn't even ask him what he was looking for. It took seconds before she was smiling at them brilliantly and handing them a both a room card. It felt almost weightless, Caroline was worried about misplacing it.

"So you come here a lot?" She asked as they boarded the elevator. Caroline hated elevators but she managed to keep herself under control whenever Klaus was beside her. He had this way of unraveling her while simultaneously being her undoing.

Klaus shrugged, "Whenever I have to switch cars." He didn't say anything else about it so Caroline didn't ask. She found that he did that a lot. Brushed off things about himself as if he mattered far less than she did, which was completely untrue. Klaus meant more to the world than Caroline ever would, and it amazed her that he couldn't understand that.

They reached the room in record time -Caroline was just thankful to be off the elevator to be honest- but Caroline noticed there was only one bed in the room upon entering. Klaus didn't seem to care as he took off his jacket and tossed it onto the bed. Besides the one bed issue, the room was beautiful. It was large, coated in gold, with their own small kitchen and an actual hot tub that connected to the room and then an even more extravagant bathroom.

It took a few minutes but he did notice. "You don't mind the one bed do you love?" He didn't sound concerned with her answer, actually Caroline noticed his whole stance had changed. Klaus had been calm, cool and collected down in the lobby but now he appeared almost predatory.

Caroline remembered their time together in his trailer, and she became hot. Her body felt like it was being set aflame and Klaus hadn't even touched her yet. Slowly she nodded at him, "That's fine."

He moved closer to her then, eyes filled with undeniable lust. "If you really want I can get a different room Sweetheart." Her breath caught as he reached her, body pressing against hers until there wasn't enough room to fit a piece of paper. "Though I'm quite fond of this one, I use it often." His fingers burned against the bare skin of her collarbone. Caroline wanted to scream out -whether it was pleasure or pain she wasn't sure- but what she was positive of was that she never wanted him to stop.

"It's perfect." She managed to get out, their faces inches away from each other. Caroline swore she'd never seen anything as perfect as the way Klaus looked when he was about to kiss her. He was determined, yet still scared, as if he feared she'd pull away and reject him. It made her heart beat irregularly because why would he ever think that? Caroline wasn't one to rid herself of a good thing when it came her way and Klaus was the best thing she'd come across.

His lips ghosted over hers agonizingly slow, making Caroline's breath hitch. "Just kiss me." She demanded, her fingers reaching up to run along the back of his neck.

"Whatever you say Caroline." So then he did kiss her. Passionately. As if this was the last time they'd ever be able to do it. He held her tightly against him by the waist, making sure she had no opportunities to escape -though she wouldn't want to. They were almost like the last two puzzle pieces that finally got placed in the perfect spot, making the picture whole. Making it perfect. Caroline couldn't remember what it was like to not have Klaus beside her -okay that was a lie. She remembered crying over his People's Choice Award only a year ago- but whenever those memories resurfaced they just felt wrong. A world in which Klaus was not dating Caroline was the wrong kind of world to be living in.

Klaus's hands moved from her waist down to her ass, gripping it tightly as he hoisted her up so that she could wrap her legs around his waist. Caroline giggled as he did so, loving the way he could so carelessly pick her up. He only let her lips escape for a moment before they were pressed tight to his again, his tongue demanding entrance.

He moved them back towards the bed until he felt his knees hit the edge and fell backwards. Caroline was surprised by her sudden dominant position but she didn't argue with it. Her lips moved down towards his jawline, kissing every inch of skin he had there. "Take off your dress." He demanded. Caroline didn't follow along with him at first, still distracted with kissing down his neck, but once she reached his shoulder she paused to rid herself of her clothing. Klaus sat up, cradling Caroline in his lap as his hands found the zipper in the back. She felt him undressing her, his lips grazing along the dip between her breasts.

Soon she was in nothing but her bra and underwear, straddling Klaus as their lips continued their war. He somehow managed to flip her over onto the bed so that he could lean over her. She pulled at the hem of his shirt, bringing it over his head and tossing it towards the floor. His necklaces hung from his neck so Caroline did the logical thing and grasped onto them, pulling his face towards hers aggressively.

Klaus's hands roamed her body, paying special attention to the skin just above the edge of her bra. Caroline let out a soft whimper escape her as he did so, making Klaus smirk. He leisurely started to remove her bra from her body with his teeth starting with the straps. His teeth grazed her skin as he went, making her shutter in longing to have him stop prolonging their inevitable ending. Finally he released her breasts from their prison and dropped the act he'd been putting on of having self control. Klaus ran his tongue along the sensitive area around her nipple before taking it into his mouth, teasing her. Caroline ran her free hand through her hair with a gasp as the feeling his teeth against her delicate nub.

Soon he moved to the other breast, repeating his actions, making her shiver. Caroline thought it unfair that she was nearly fully naked yet he still had his pants on. Breaking Klaus's ministrations she leaned up onto her elbows and demanded, "Get rid of the pants."

He did as he was told. Caroline kind of liked submissive Klaus.

Back in each others embrace, Caroline ran her hands down Klaus's chest until she reached the skin right below his belly button. His length was pressing against her stomach, making her already soaking wet panties become even more so. She needed him in such a bad way that she felt as if she was no longer the same Caroline she'd been a few minutes ago. Caroline had never been so horny in her entire life.

She ran her fingers up and down his shaft slowly, causing Klaus to release a moan. Hunger grew in his eyes as he watched her, and Caroline realized that she didn't want to bother with all of the teasing and foreplay. She wanted to be with him completely that very second.

Klaus seemed to come to the same understanding because he didn't object when she positioned herself over him, guiding his cock inside of her. Caroline moaned out as he entered her, filling her completely. Klaus kept his hand on her hips, beginning to lift her up and down. Caroline soon helped him, her hands pressing down on his chest for support as pounded into her, the electricity between them surely high enough to power the entire city.

Caroline tossed her head back in pleasure, the feeling of him inside of her becoming almost too much to bare. Klaus was distracted by the amount of joy she was getting and it only made him want to give her more. She felt his hand run along her stomach before reaching her core. While still pumping into her he started to rub his thumb against her clit making Caroline nearly scream out right then in there.

She moved closer towards the edge with Klaus working his magic on her. Caroline dragged her nails along the skin of his chest and she was lucky she didn't draw blood -though Klaus was far too gone in his own sex induced haze to care. He removed his thumb to wrap around her waist, sitting himself up so that they'd could be face to face whenever they finally reached their peaks. Caroline pulled his lips to hers, desperate for something to cling to as she felt him push into her harder and harder.

Finally she came, her scream so loud she was sure the entire building heard but she wasn't in the position to care. Feeling her tighten around him led Klaus to his own release and they both collapsed onto the bed. Caroline was panting into her pillows, her chest pressed into the bedding while her legs were still entangled with his.

Klaus leaned over to her, planting a kiss into her hair on the back of her head. Caroline knew that it was sweaty and gross but he kissed it anyways and whispered, "Sleep well Love."

And she did.

They returned home the next day- managing to slip passed any looming paparazzi- and were both surprised to find Damon passed out on the couch in the clothes he wore the night before. There was no woman in sight.

Klaus kicked Damon in the leg to wake him up, "Get up Mate, you have work in an hour." Caroline didn't bother asking why Klaus knew Damon's schedule off by heart, she figured it was a roommate thing.

While the two began to bicker Caroline ran up to her room to change into something other than her dress. It would need to be dry cleaned or something it was too expensive for her moms washing machine. Caroline decided to wear black skinny jeans and a blue and black plaid shirt she had forgotten she'd packed. Good thing she did, she didn't feel like trying to look nice.

Her phone began ringing as she applied a thin layer of makeup just to cover the small blemishes. She checked the screen this time, it was Elena. "Hey Elena."

Caroline had been wrong however because it wasn't Elena on the other line it was her evil twin. "Actually it's Katherine Carebear." Caroline rolled her eyes at the other Gilbert girl. She'd forgotten that it was getting so close to Christmas and the boarding school Katherine went to probably let them off for break. Not that she didn't like Katherine, but she could only be dealt with in small doses.

"Hello Katherine." She stopped what she was doing to ask, "why aren't you using your phone?"

"Doesn't matter." She quickly dismissed it. Caroline would rather not argue with her so she followed suit. "I want to talk to Damon." At that precise moment Caroline heard Damon call Klaus a "huge fucking asshole" from the living room.

Caroline shook her head, "Not happening." Not just because Caroline didn't want Katherine to talk to Damon, but also because she didn't want to interrupt the small battle going on downstairs.

Katherine protested, "You and my sister are best friends, I've known you since I was little. So technically we're friends." Only sort of. I would never buy her a Christmas present or anything. "It's not my fault I missed the past couple years!"

Except it was because in grade seven Katherine didn't want to go to third period so she set a small fire in the cafeteria which ended up shutting down the school for two weeks because the small fire, was actually huge. Her parents shipped her off to boarding school after that which made Elena happy.

"Goodbye Katherine!" She hung up before the brunette could get another word in.

Knowing that Katherine was home reminded Caroline just how little of time she had left in LA with Klaus before she had to head home. The thought of leaving him made her heart almost shatter to pieces. Be strong Caroline! It was so damn hard though.

AN: So I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! I know I don't regularly update but my life has been crazy so thank you for baring with me!

So Caroline's self doubt in this chapter is not a reflection about how I see her but more of how an insecure teenage girl would see herself.

Also, I suck at smut so please don't judge me. If you don't wanna read it you don't have to it won't take away from the plot !

If you wanna know what her dress looked like search "Ruffle My Feathers Dress-Black" in google and it's the first picture!

ALSO FINN. THAT IS ALL
