Me: I'm sorry I got really busy doing homework and thinking of new storie.
Joey: About time, did you forget about us?
Me: Shut up! I know, I know, I blame my ADHD.
Joey: So what about us that you haven't used yet?
Me: Patience, good things come to those who wait. Nakia, Nicole, Jonathon, and Menes are my own characters, but the rest are not.
"So what's this grand finale?" Joey asked, voice the question that was on everyone's mind.
Nicole had finally had enough of the hospital ward and had threatened to walk out and leave if they didn't meet somewhere else. "To be honest, I don't know and neither does Nakia," Nicole admitted.
"Well I think that it's safe to say that it's going to be bad," Duke said as he leaned forward in his chair.
"No really, I thought that it would be a walk in the park," Tristan said sarcastically.
"Enough," Tea said as she rubbed her temples.
Nicole smirked at Tea, knowing that most of them had a headache forming or had one. "This is pointless right now," she said as she stood up. "Most of us have headaches and we're tired. We've been at this for a few hours now. Nobody knows what Menes is planning and we probably are not going to find out until he makes his move. So I propose that we take advantage of this calm before the storm and do something fun before Menes strikes."
Everyone was shocked at what she had just said. Yugi was one of the first to recover and asked, "What about your brother?"
Nicole was hoping to avoid this, she had hoped that people would just say it was a good idea and they all go do something. Taking a deep breath so that she wouldn't start crying, she replied, "I'm worried sick about Jonathon, but there's nothing I can do right now. I can't run myself ragged with worry if I want to help him. So right now I just want to smile and forget for a minute." As she finished a few tears streaked her cheeks.
"Well let's go to Kaiba Land," Mokuba said as he burst into Kaiba's office.
"I thought you we're at school," Kaiba said.
"School got done hours ago and all my homework was done," Mokuba said.
"And so you decided to eavesdrop on us?" Kaiba demanded.
"I was bored," Mokuba said, he was not going to back down.
"That sound's like fun," Nicole said breaking the tension in the air. "I've been wanting to go for years but someone had me on house arrest." Nicole shot Pegasus a look.
Wisely Pegasus kept his mouth shut, he had learned not to get into an argument with Nicole.
"Alright," Joey shouted in excitement as he jumped to his feet and grabbed Nicole's hand and ran towards the elevator. "You're going to love Kaiba Land."
"Joey!" just about the whole room shouted after the blond.
Mokuba, Kaiba, and Atem were the first to react and chased down the blond and his captive.
Both had reached the elevator and were getting on when they saw the group in pursuit of them. Joey started to repeatedly hit the door close button in fear. "Um," was all he said as his life flashed before his eyes.
Nicole grinned at Joey, the look in his eyes were priceless as he stood in horror of the group coming after him. Slowly the door shut before anyone could get on. "You know you asked for it," Nicole said as she looked at Joey.
"I know but it's going to be worth it," Joey said with a glint in his eye. "I have a plan."
"I'm going to kill him," Kaiba said for the tenth time. " How did he get into my system to be able to hack the elevators?"
"That would be Nicole's doing," Pegasus said. "I wanted to make sure that she would always be able to get out of situation, I had her taught how to fight and how to hack into any system in the world."
"Ok here's the plan," Joey said as they caught a cab to Kaiba Land. "When we get there I'll show them my pass and tell them Seto Kaiba is letting you in."
"Wait won't I have to pay," Nicole asked.
"Nah, Kaiba may not like us, but he owes us way too much for saving him and his little brother. So he gave us all passes to get into Kaiba Land for life," Joey explained.
"But what about me, I mean Kaiba barely knows would he care?" Nicole asked.
"They don't have to know that, we'll say you're with me. That should get you in," Joey said.
"Okay but how do I ditch everyone?" Nicole asked. "No offense but I don't really want to hang out with a large group of people." 'I wish I could just hang out with Atem,' Nicole thought to herself.
"How about this, we get there you hide in the girl's restroom and I'll tell everyone that you went to the Tilt A Whirl, and then I'll send you a text when they're gone," Joey said. "I'll make sure Atem stays behind with me though," he said with a wink.
Nicole was caught off guard and blushed. When Nicole had finally found her words, she stammered, "I don't know what you mean?"
"Sure," Joey said a clear sign that he wasn't going to let the subject go any time soon.
'Gods is it that easy for people to tell that I like him?' Nicole asked Nakia.
'I'm sure that it's not that easy,' Nakia said.
'So she does like him, I mean I could tell Atem likes her,' Joey mused to himself. Looking back out the cab window he said, "Hey look we're here!"
Nicole leaned over and looked out his window, "Wow!"
"Come on," Joey said as he got out of the cab and handed the driver some money.
"This place is so cool," Nicole said in awe.
"What you never saw an amusement park before?" Joey asked.
"Not in real life, my parents didn't like them and Pegasus kept us away from the outside world," Nicole said as she was still staring.
"Come on, we need to get inside and get you hidden before the others get here," Joey said as he grabbed Nicole's hand.
"Ticket please," said the woman at the entrance.
"Here," Joey said as he pulled out his VIP pass.
"Oh," the woman said in shock. "Well you two enjoy yourselves."
"Wait you don't need my ticket?" Nicole asked shocked.
"No miss, Mr. Kaiba allows anyone with a VIP guest get in free," she replied.
"Okay," Nicole said as she walked through and joined Joey.
"The restrooms are over there, but before you go, what's your number?" Joey asked as he pulled out his phone.
Nicole quickly rattled off her number before dashing over into the restroom.
Joey watched as Nicole ducked inside, no sooner had he watched her go in, he heard gasps of excitement come from the entrance.
"There they are!" a girl shouted.
"It's Seto Kaiba, Yugi and Atem Muto," squealed another girl.
"Hey isn't that Duke Devlin," a guy asked.
"Yea and that the creator himself, Maximillion Pegasus," another guy said.
"I wonder why they're all here?" someone asked.
If looks could kill, then Joey would've been dead as soon as Kaiba walked into his amusement park. Right away Kaiba had spotted Joey trying to be inconspicuous. The group ignored the all the looks that they were getting.
Joey knew he was dead when they had spotted him, but he still tried to hid the fact that he was standing just inside the gate.
"Wheeler!" Kaiba shouted.
"Sorry I don't know a Wheeler," Joey said as he took a step out of Kaiba's war path.
"Joey that wasn't funny what you did," Yugi said.
"Where's Nicole?" Pegasus demanded.
"Relax, she went to the Tilt A Whirl, I said I'd meet her there in a minute," Joey said as he turned to leave.
"No, you're staying here," Kaiba said as he stormed past him.
As everyone started to walked past him, Joey called out to Atem, "Hey Atem, will you wait a minute?"
"Joey we have to find Nicole, she could be in danger. I have to go," Atem said as he started to walk away.
"Hey man just wait a minute," Joey said as he pulled out his phone and sent a text to Nicole.
"Fine," Atem sighed in defeat.
A few seconds later Nicole emerged from the girl's restroom. "Are they all gone?" she asked as she approached Atem and Joey.
"Wait you were hiding in the restroom?" Atem asked in surprise.
"It was Joey's idea so that I wouldn't have to hang out with a big group of people," Nicole said.
Atem was a little shocked and didn't know what to say.
"So I was hoping that the two of us could hangout," Nicole said to Atem, with a huge blush.
"Um," was all Atem could say. 'Gods, I still sound like an idiot."
When he didn't say anything, Nicole's heart sank. "Oh I'm sorry," Nicole said. "I didn't mean-"
When Nicole started to apologize, Joey elbowed Atem. "No, I would love to hangout," Atem said interrupting Nicole.
"Really?" Nicole asked in surprise.
"Yea I would love to," Atem said.
Tired of seeing the two stand there, he finally said, "Well you two had better go before Kaiba finds out that I lied."
Both smiled and then walked off together.
Me: I wasn't for sure on all of the rides that Kaiba Land had. I tried to look up a list of rides, but it wasn't helpful at all. So I decided that I would add a few if they didn't really exist. Also I changed a little bit in chapter 2. I decided that I wanted Nicole and Atem to fall in love with each other, but realized that it might have been a little weird. So I changed it a little.
