Hiya! Yeah, I tend not to update for a while and that so umm… forgive me if you will. I'm also going on vacation to see me daddio where he lives in Mehico (my parents aren't divorce, my dad's work just makes him work all over and currently it has been Mehico) so this might have a longer update time and all, don't know how that will work out. Anyway, sorry for the somewhat short chapter and abrupt cut off, I had no idea what else to put in it, so yeah. Thank you for those who reviewed, favorite, and followed last chapter! It made my day! Please leave a Review and Favorite! Farewell and Enjoy!

ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL
Fire Light
Natsu wasn't a person who felt happiness often; it was, like, Christmas or a Birthday because he only felt happy really once a year, maybe less. He didn't count the times he was with Happy, sure he loved the cat and wanted no wrong to come to him, but when he was around the blue feline he was content and relaxed as if he was sitting on a plush armchair in front of a warm fireplace on a cold winters evening without a care in the world. And he liked that feeling because he felt everything was once more right again in the world and he wasn't some demented fifteen-year-old who was forced to stay in a dark guild for the sake of his best friend's life. There was none of that when he was around Happy. But the feeling he was having now was nothing associated with the cat, it was more towards the fact that he was finally out of those blasted runes surrounding the infirmary's bed and was free to walk wherever he wanted.
Well, free was the wrong word to use.
It was like he was back at his guild though slightly different. Erza, Gray, Lucy, and a grumpy guy who he disliked at first glance named Gajeel were keeping a close eye on him making him very uncomfortable. At least at his guild when King kept an eye on him, he did it through magic means, not glued to his side 24/7 and having to have a bathroom buddy whenever he needed to take a leak (which was so annoying that he almost bashed their heads into the stone wall of the bathroom because god dammit he wanted his privacy!)
"How many days do we have left before we reach your guild?" Erza asked giving him a sideways glance. At the moment they were all sitting around a small campfire somewhere in the middle of a forest with nothing around for miles leaving the five alone in the forest with nothing but themselves to keep each other company. Natsu shrugged and slinked a little away from the fire so he was more in the comfort of the shadows beyond, his cloak that he had been given back wrapped around him securely. He didn't meet her eyes but instead stared at the fire blankly and rather bored.
"Five at the most." he replied, silence surrounding them like a blanket leaving everyone except Natsu feeling awkward.
Lucy poked the logs in the fire with a stick, moving them around just barely and sending sparks up from the movement, one log giving out which sent up a flurry of sparks into the night sky.
"What's it like in your guild?" Lucy suddenly asked, only to become flustered and embarrassed as if she didn't actually mean to say that out loud. "I-I m-mean—" she was cut off by a small sigh from Natsu who had opened one of his recently closed eyes.
"And why would I tell you such things?" he replied with a raised eyebrow, monotone voice sounding slightly mocking. Erza sat up a little straighter at this and narrowed her eyes at him, catching his attention.
"Cause I won your little game so you have to answer every question that you're asked." she said stiffly. Natsu laid backwards with a small one shoulder shrug, placing his hands behind his head for comfort.
"Correction: I answer every question you ask me. Not questions your friends ask me." he said, eyes closing once more. A small smile slipped on Erza's face at this which went unnoticed by Natsu.
"Then, what's it like in your guild?" she mocked, revoicing Lucy's question. Natsu gave a small grunt of annoyance along with a tiny eyebrow twitch.
"Guild members are in an out on assassination missions or something of the like day in and day out. Some guild members get killed in the hall if a fight breaks out, killed by either the person they were fighting with or King out of annoyance from the noise. Other things happen that are not worth mentioning because I pretty much already summed up a normal day's gathering." he replied nonchalantly. Gray was about to say something when a dagger flew from somewhere around them and narrowly missed Natsu's head, making everyone gasp in surprise. Natsu didn't seem all the surprised as he opened his eyes and blinked at the dagger near his head and sat up. He gripped the handle and tore it from the ground, tossing it up and down in his hands.
"Who's there?!" Erza shouted, standing up and Requiping a sword as the others (except for Natsu) also stood up and got into different battle stances.
"He won't answer." Natsu told them, lying back down casually on the ground. Gray narrowed his eyes at him, obviously over annoyed.
"What do you mean?"
"Len won't just give away his hideout just cause you asked." he sighed, gaining the others attention.
"Len?" Gajeel asked, a little taken aback that Natsu already knew who the attacker was. Natsu gave a brief nod and said no more just as more daggers came flying out; their target being Natsu, but every dagger aimed at him missed by at least a centimeter. Natsu sighed once again and stood up, scratching the back of his head a little as he looked over his shoulder.
"I know, don't need to convey the warning anymore." Natsu said, confusing the others slightly. They were caught off guard when a small boy that was maybe thirteen-years-old or so jumped down gracefully. He was covered by a dark green cloak, but the fire light made it so that they could only see the boy's face. He had grey hair with a green tint to it and chocolate brown eyes. On the right side of his face burn scars showed angrily on his skin though you could tell that they were old. The eye on the burned side of his face was closed because he was blind in that eye. He had the same blankness on his face and eye just like Natsu as he silently looked up at him. Natsu turned fully around to stare at the young boy, meeting his gaze. "I don't care." he told him a matter-of-factly.
"He… he didn't say anything…" Gray deadpanned. Natsu sat back down with his back facing Len.
"I know that. He's mute, but he has telepathy magic that allows him to communicate with others." as he said this, Len's only good eyes traveled to them seemingly curious even though they stayed a chilling blank.
Who are they? They all heard the voice in their head at the same time, the four Fairy Tail members looking a little surprised at this. Natsu closed his eyes once again and laid backwards with his arms cushioning his head.
"I'm Erza and these are my comrades Lucy, Gray, and Gajeel." the scarlet haired girl said, gesturing to her friends. She was still holding onto her sword though it was in a more relaxed position than before. Len looked back at Natsu who was paying no one no mind and seemed to be sleeping as peacefully as a Natsu could. A few moments of silence passed until Natsu opened one eye and stared at Len for a long moment.
"Just tell King the mission took longer than I expected." he said. Before anyone knew exactly what was going on, another dagger flew at Natsu's head, but instead of missing him by a centimeter, it was aimed to hit. Natsu rolled to the side and onto his knees, looking at Len who had three daggers ready in his hands and staring at Natsu. He had opened his blind eye to show the eerie pale blue iris that glimmered in the fire light.
