CHAPTER TEN

Aria had stayed at Jason's for dinner. She felt bad and didn't want him to eat alone. His mom had invited him to eat with them, but he said he had stuff to do at home, which he kind of did. He had boxes to sort through. A lot of boxes that he had brought down from the attic a few days before.

While Jason did the dishes, Aria sat on the countertop and looked through one of the many photo albums that Jason had found while sorting through boxes that had been left in the attic. Most of the photos were of Alison through the years since she had been born. Some featured Jason, but there were very few of him alone. It was like his parents didn't want him in any of them. It made Aria sad to think about. She grabbed another album and it was the same thing. He was in family photos or photos with Alison, but there weren't many of him alone. Only school pictures really.

At home her and Mike had their own separate albums. Her mother loved taking photos of both of them doing their own separate things. They were both loved equally, and both of their parents showed them that they loved them. Jason didn't seem to get that from his parents. Either of them.

"Why are there so many photos of Ali and not you?" Aria asked not really thinking about it.

"I guess my parents only wanted one kid and it wasn't me. Even though I was born first," Jason said, "They've always favored Alison and since she disappeared neither one of them can bare to look at me. They know they've lost the wrong kid," Jason said.

"Don't say that," Aria said. Without thinking she took one of Jason's hands in both of hers, "That's not true."

Jason looked down at their entwined hands and then to Aria. Her wide eyes looking back at him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked barely above a whisper.

"Like what?" Aria asked.

"Like you're gonna cry or something," he said.

"I don't know," she said, "I just don't like that you feel that way. You shouldn't have to," she told him and wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. Jason laid his hands on Aria's hips as he leaned his forehead against hers, "Jason, I'm really sorry about yesterday," she said.

"It's fine. Nothing was broken. Just ask next time you want to break in," he said with a chuckle.

"No, not about that," Aria said, "Well, yes, I feel awful about that, but I meant about last night when you kissed me, and I pushed you away. I was kind of harsh," she said.

"Maybe a little. But I get it," he said, "You have a lot going on right now. I'm not going to pester you even if I really, really want to kiss you right now," he told her tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I kind of hate you," she said pulling back and looking into his green eyes.

"What? Why?" he asked moving closer. Aria was at the edge of the counter and Jason was standing between her dangling legs, "Didn't you just say you felt bad because I said my parents hate me?"

"Oh, my god!" she exclaimed, "I'm so sorry."

"Relax. I'm kidding," Jason said wrapping his arms around her waist.

"You're too good of a person for anyone to hate," Aria said.

Jason leaned down slightly and pressed his lips against Aria's. Aria moved her arms from around his neck and took his face in her hands. Jason groaned when Aria took his bottom lip between her own plump lips. He kept one arm around her waist while his other hand wove through her hair and cupped the back of her head. Aria wrapped her arms back around his neck, pulling him closer, as his soft lips glided over hers smoothly.

"You're vibrating," Jason told Aria, breathlessly, feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket.

"Huh?" she asked looking at him with half-lidded eyes.

"Your phone. It's vibrating," he told her, "Or it was," he said.

"Oh," she replied. Jason couldn't help but to laugh. He had never seen Aria so flustered before. And this was because of him.

"It's not funny!" she exclaimed reaching into her pocket for her phone. It was Hanna, "It's Hanna. She needs me to go over there," Aria said, "Can you drive me?" she asked.

"Yean, no problem," he told her. She hopped off the kitchen counter and went to get her backpack, which she dropped off by the front door, "So, does this mean you can now?"

"Can what?" Aria asked.

"Yesterday you said you couldn't do this, but what just happened suggests otherwise," Jason said.

"I don't know. I'll let you know," Aria said as they walked out to Jason's car.

When Aria got to Hanna's Spencer answered the door.

"Hey, how is she?" Aria asked.

"She's…shaken, but she's still standing," Spencer said closing and locking the front door.

The two girls looked at each other and started talking at the same time. Everything was just a jumble of words until there was a gap and Spencer said, "What was I supposed to do."

"I'm not mad at you," Aria told her.

"Really?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah," Aria nodded.

"Good, 'cause I just did it because I was nervous, and you're—you're really tiny, and I love you," Spencer told her.

"I love you too," Aria said hugging the much taller girl, "But he's going to be part of my life, Spencer. And I would like for you to accept that, but if you can't just keep your thoughts to yourself. He already has this while town against him."

"Fine, but if he does anything to hurt you I will destroy him," Spencer said as they walked up the stairs to Hanna's room.

"I would expect nothing less," Aria replied.

Spencer didn't mention anything to Aria about the N.A.T. Club she and Toby discovered Garrett, Jason, and Ian were all a part of. Now, she didn't want to mention it. She didn't want to mention that Jason may have been recording them as well.

AN: Super short chapter. I just wanted to post something.

I am not good at writing kissing scenes or sex scenes or anything like that so if that part was bad, I am really sorry (not that that was too extreme).

There will be a short time jump in the next chapter.

Please review and let me know what you think!
