I know, I haven't posted in a million years but THIS IS THE LAST CHAPTER! Haha finally! After posting this, the story will be complete but I know that sometime in the future I will for sure go back and edit this story. This was my first ever story that I posted on here, so you can't blame me too much for it being sucky at times haha. Anyways... here we go!
The Salvatore's Lost Daughter
Chapter 11
Jane made her way to The Grill, craving blood. Across the street she saw a couple of teenage boys filing out the door. One boy stayed it front, walking to the side alley, waving goodbye to his friends. She had her eyes set on him, concentrating she used her vampire speed to stop him right in front of his tracks. "Woa," he said looking up completely caught of guard. He chuckled and looked Jane up and down, "Who might you be?" he questioned. Jane grabbed his shoulders pushing him up against the alley wall, "You're not going to make a sound, stay very still," she said looking into his eyes, trying out compulsion. When he just nodded with a dead, monotone look in his eye, she smirked; knowing it worked. She moved his head to the side, exposing his neck.
The sound of blood pumping through his jugular was the only thing she could hear, it was like church bells ringing right into her eardrums. She loved it. Her eyes grew read and with black veins pulsing towards her eyes she sunk her fangs into his neck. Curling her fingers into his biceps there was a war going on in her head. Should she even be drinking human blood, her dad doesn't. Will she become a ripper? What if she can't stop and she kills him? Will it be too much for her? Will she be forced to turn off her emotions? Will this whole vampire thing be too overwhelming? Can she even go back home after snapping her uncle's neck and throwing her father into a wall? What will her aunts think of her? What happened to Liam, is he still in town? Will her mind ever rest? Will she ever find peace? Isn't death supposed to bring peace? But death only brought chaos.
With her mind racing it distracted her from the glorious taste of this boys blood, making it easy for her to detach herself without killing him. He looked dazed and tired. She bit into her wrist, sloppily giving him her blood. Once she did that she looked into his eyes once again, "You won't remember any of this. You hung out at The Grill with your friends then went home. When you get home clean up all the blood off of you before anyone sees." After that he just continued walking down his original path. Not knowing where she could go Jane went to the one place she had felt the safest before.
With her newfound vampire speed she made her way to the abandoned office building where Liam's underground apartment was located. When she got down to his apartment she called his name, "Liam?" she questioned softly. She walked a little more until she saw him standing in front of her, looking stunned. "What? How?" He couldn't even formulated words, he just looked at her thinking she might be a ghost. She softly smiled, all the crazy thought and emotions leaving her head. "Liam, it's really me. Long story short, I'm a vampire."
He went up to her and embraced her, "I'm not even going to ask questions, I'm just glad you're here." As they embraced she said in his ear, "Since my father is a vampire and my blood is his when I died after the ritual I became a vampire." They separated and he sat her down on the couch where they had talked sometime ago. Looking into his eyes she continued, "Liam I don't know if I can be a vampire. Well I know there isn't any going back now because I already fed on human blood." "Did your father give you a blood bag? You didn't hurt anyone did you? Because Jane once you kill someone with your emotions on it drives you crazy until the point where you want them off. Once they're off then it's ripper central and after a hundred years or so when you turn them back off, the pain is six feet under rock bottom."
Jane chuckled with no emotion; "I'm going to stop you from this rant right now. When I was at the boarding house I was acting crazy and it caused me to do things I'm not that proud of. Only I would be able to do the things I did in the first hour of becoming a vampire." She explained what she did at the boarding out before she headed to The Grill. She explained how she fed on a boy and what was going through her mind at the time.
"Liam I'm scared that this whole vampire thing is going to be too much for me. After I fed on that boy, nearly killing him, I knew that I had to go to you. You're the only person that I think would be able to calm me down and get my emotions straight." Liam held Jane's now cold hands before looking into her eyes. "Jane in the hundreds of years I've lived I've never known anyone who was the perfect vampire. Well except maybe for Caroline."
They both laughed a little before he continued, "In the beginning of being a vampire, your emotions are heightened and its going to be hard to be able to navigate through this experience. All you need to know is that I'm always going to be here, and I'm always going to be with you. I love you Jane as an over emotional vampire or not." Jane genuinely laughed thinking it was crazy how he could make a joke about this, but it still made her happy nonetheless. "You have an amazing family and between them and me you have hundreds and hundreds of years worth of the ups and downs of being a vampire. You were strong as a human and you're going to be even stronger as a vampire." He took a deep breath before saying, "Now lets get you back to the boarding house."
We got on his motorcycle and started making our way back to the boarding house. Once we got there he parked in the driveway and we started walking up to the door. Before he opened it I put my face in my hands feeling so stupid for what I've done in the past few hours. He just brought me into his arms and rubbed my back trying to calm me down. He let go and opened the door. I walked in first to see my dad, uncle and aunts turn their backs to see me. Relief seemed to wash over their faces and they all came up to me.
Simultaneously they thanked Liam for bringing me back. They brought me back into the living room and one by one I heard, "What happened?" "You don't have a daylight ring what would you have done when the sun came up?" "Are your emotions still on?" Did you kill anyone?" They were all talking and asking me questions that once again I just put my face in my hands. I stood up from the couch I was sitting on and saw Liam just observing from the corner of the room.
First I went up to my uncle and hugged him, apologizing. He just kissed the top of my head and told me it was okay. My dad was standing next to him and I just threw my arms around him and started balling into his chest. I started rambling but no one could really make out what I was saying, "I'm so sorry… this is just crazy…. A lot to take in… I feel bad… I fed on someone… I didn't kill him… I just want to turn it all off." Right when I said that, he placed his hands on my shoulders and bent down to my eye level. In a soothing voice he said, "Everything is going to be okay. You have all of us and I promise I'm not going to let anything happen to you okay? You're going to get through this, we all are." I just nodded and my two aunts came up to me and gave me a hug.
I sat on the couch and this time Liam sat right next to me. Everyone then followed in suit and sat down on various couches in the room. Damon of course, stood up and started pouring drinks while Caroline said with a smile, "Well I say after a drink we all get some sleep. But come tomorrow we start vampire training!" I just threw my head back and groaned as everyone laughed. I wrapped my hand around my locket, smiling. I rested my head on Liam's shoulder and soon fell asleep, believing that everything was going to be okay.
So that's it! I really didn't know how to end this story but yea I wanted it to be a "happy ending" I also wanted to leave an ending that could lead into a sequel because after I re-write this story I'll probably end up writing a small sequel. Anyways, I just really want to say thank you to everyone who read this. It makes my day seeing that people have been reading and reviewing :) Thanks again and I hope you enjoyed!
