Chapter 10
PETALBURG CITY
Miracle sat next to her and Sakinah's bed, she had been unable to sleep while her girlfriend has been unconscious. It had been a chemical compound that they had used. This meant that they had no idea if or when she would awake. And she had already been out for two days.
"Come on Saki baby, you need to wake up for me." She pleaded.
"She will be out through the night," Miracle spun around and saw the worst thing she could think of.
"Mew?"
"Yes its me," it smiled, "I can sense her mind coming out of the fog, so it wont take long."
"I want to know why you didn't tell us about this hooded freak show, that's after us now." She snarled.
Mew sighed and landed on the bed next to Saki, "We have never been able to pin point their exact place in the entirety of the situation. But we have known that their group has been together for eons. Dialga and Celebi have been going back and forth through time trying to keep track of their location."
"This is starting to get too big, too fast Mew. We cannot hide from them, and they seem to have no qualms about killing us, and marking it up as a failed experiment."
"All I can tell you is that we are now in tune to their nature and existence. We have the power to keep you all safe till the time is right to strike back. I just ask that you take them apart in the mean time, play their game by your rules Miracle. No mercy is needed."
"I aim to. This bitch may know what I have done, but she has no clue as to what I am truly capable of. And there are nearly ten of us stocked to the brim with powerful pokemon waiting to end this and go back to our old lives."
"That dear Miracle, is why you are destined to lead them into battle. You see the entire picture, big or small, and can keep it all in perspective." Mew floated into the air and then disappeared.
When Mira looked back to Sakinah, she saw her girlfriend was smiling in her sleep, and for some strangely foreign reason it made her smile happily.
NEXT DAY
"Mira, Mira are you awake?" Saki yawned, she then sat up to see that her girlfriend was out cold in the chair next to the bed. "That lady must have put you through hell." Saki sighed.
She rolled out of the bed and walked over to her unconscious, sleeping lover. Saki placed a chaste kiss upon Mira's brow then walked to the bathroom, feeling the dirt and sweat on her body.
"Sleep well my princess."
When the door closed, Mira stirred from her sleep. She noticed Saki was no longer in the bed. Panic began to set in, but she then herd the shower come on and immediately her heart was put at ease.
"Thank god shes okay," Mira sighed. She then got a devilish smile on her face. Mira stripped faster then she ever had before, then snuck stealthily into the bathroom.
And the last words you could hear were. "OH MIRA!"
HOURS LATER
"It was good to meet you Booth," Mira said, "And I am sure we will see you in the future."
He shook her hand, and gave a smirk, "Well I was heading to Rustboro City, I was hoping to pick your brains for a bit."
The girls all gave one another a smirk, "Sure you are, you just want to hang with three good looking girls." Sarah smirked.
Booth was caught off guard, and was taken aback by the mischievousness of it. "What?"
"What a Perv." Saki smiled.
"What?" He repeated.
"Shut it rocks for brains," Mira laughed, "We would be honored to have you with us for the time being."
"Thats great, I was hoping to at least see you take on Roxanne."
"I thought she was retiring?" Saki said.
"She is, but she is known to come out and battle a trainer or two if she sees a lesson to be taught to the students." Booth was beaming, "She is the one who got me into pokemon training. And when I was getting into a bit of trouble she mentored me and help set me up with the army, and police forces."
"Wow, that just goes to show you that all rocks are the same," Sarah shrugged.
"What are you trying to say, spikes," Booth replied, "Roxanne helped shape me into the person I am today."
"Sarah is just trying to push your buttons, Booth. She cant help but get under peoples skin." Mira sighed.
"Either that, or she's flirting," Saki said off handed. This got Sarah to turn a light shade of purple.
"Shut it brainiac," Sarah shouted.
"Lets just get moving," Mira sighed, "Can you keep up Booth?"
"I beat you didn't I." Booth laughed.
"Oh, you are cruisin for a bruisin bastard."
"Lets get going before another fight breaks out," Saki sighed.
"Fine by me, I just want to stop by the lake on the way out." Booth replied, "Professor Maple wanted to see me off."
"Oh, Uncle Max. That should be fine." Mira said.
"How connected are you?" He asked.
"Booth, my last name is Ketchum. My name is perhaps the most known in the world."
"I am slowly becoming very bothered by your network of contacts. And I have no clue why." He replied.
They strolled up to the lake front, and saw Max sitting on the dock with a fishing pole in the water. "There he is," Saki pointed out.
"Oh. Mira, Saki, and uhh oh umm grouchy girl, what brings you here?" Max laughed.
Sarah turned red with anger, but was stopped from answering by Booth, "I will be traveling with them to Rustboro. Mrs. Roxanne wanted to see me before I headed east to finish with my badges."
"Ah yes, I thought you might do that. So I have a few things I want you to give her." He reached into a bag he had next to his chair and pulled out a few rocks, "These are Root, and Sail fossils. I would like to have them brought back to life. I know the fossil lab near the gym will help if she gives the okay."
"Sure Professor, but why ask me and not go yourself?" Booth asked.
"Well who is going to raise them then." He postulated, " And since you are going with the girls, you can give one to them as well."
"Thank you Professor, I wont let you down."
Max smiled then looked to the girls, "Booth is an asset I have always looked for. Mira, he is to me what your father has been to Professor Oak. He has a big future in the pokemon industry."
"He will be fine Uncle. He seems to be in the same class as the rest of us," Mira smirked, giving everyone a sly look.
"Oh...kay. Oh and take this fishing rod, I'm sure you guys will enjoy some down time sooner or later." He said sitting back down, "I am eager to see you all in the future, now I am looking for some rare pokemon that has appeared in the area, so off with you." He shooed them all away.
"He gets a bit pushy when he's cranky," Sarah huffed.
"Aww, he ain't so bad," Mira chuckled, "I think my aunt calls it quirky."
"I think its nutty," Saki added.
"Whatever you call it, it was just plain rude," Sarah pouted.
"So what are we doing today?" Booth asked.
"I believe if we get to Petalburg Woods then we can set up camp." Mira said.
"So then who wants to fish for a bit," Booth asked.
"I don't think that's good right now," Saki said.
"I agree, we can still see the city," Mira added.
"Oh, but look there," Sarah pointed out, "It looks like there are several fishermen up ahead to battle. Four of them, four of us, if they are all game."
"I have a better idea," Mira said. She walked onto the dock the men were fishing from. She looked around a bit and then motioned for Booth. "Throw me the rod."
Everyone looked at her like she was crazy, but just tossed it. "What is she up to?" He asked the others.
"I don't know, but she has a knack for making crazy things happen." Saki said.
Miracle cast her line a little further then the men, which made some growl and other snicker. "What do you hope to catch here lady. Nothin but Magikarp in this area." The man next to her laughed.
Mira smiled, and reeled the line in slowly but surely, then she got a bite, "Watch and learn." She replied. She pulled and reeled her catch in, and when it got close she yanked it with all her might.
Then from the water came a giant fish, it looked like a Magikarp but it was crazy looking. And before the fishermen noticed, Mira threw a pokeball and caught it.
"Was...What was that?" The man beside her asked.
Booth walked over and leaned over Mira's shoulder, "Is that what I think it is."
Mira immediately released her pokemon to reveal its true identity.
"Bass...Feebas."
"How did you get that, this body of water is only filled with Magikarp." Another man asked.
"I will battle you for it, we were here first." Another yelled.
"Guys, you can try but it is mine. And I know the rarity of these pokemon, so back off." Miracle recalled her pokemon and her and Booth began to walk away.
"Get her!" The fishermen began releasing all of their pokemon, and soon all four of them were circled by Gyarados.
"Now what do we do?" They asked Mira.
"We fight back, come out Beautifly."
"Fine by me, Absol." Saki added.
"Why not, Venipede your turn." Sarah replied.
"Okay, Kabutops time for a melee."
In mere moments the group laid waste to the fishermen, and continued on toward Petalburg woods.
"Well Mira, I think you are a magnet for fights." Booth sighed.
"Yeah, you're just jealous I have a Feebas." Mira smiled.
"Why would I be?" He questioned.
"Because they evolve into Milotic." Mira added.
"And again, why am I jealous?"
"Because they are one of the strongest pokemon that are native to the region." Sakinah told him, "You should know that."
"I have the distinct feeling I am dealing with squints." Booth said rubbing his brow.
"Whats a squint?" Saki asked.
"Smart people," Booth said, "Like freaky smart people."
"I don't know if I should be offended or not," Sarah pondered.
"Lets just get going before Mira gets us into more trouble." Saki smiled. She reached over and tapped her girlfriend on the shoulder, "Tag, your it." And ran off, leaving Mira a bit stunned.
"Oh you little minx, I will get you for this," Mira replied, chasing after her.
Sarah sighed and turned to Booth, "Welcome to our merry band of crazy people. Population...us."
