I own Marissa Flynn and this story
Moon belongs to Invader Snik
Phineas and Ferb belongs to Dan and Swampy
Phineas was resting in the bed. His fever had gone down a little, and luckily Linda and Lawrence had to work today, so he didn't have to go to the therapist. He was looking through his photo albums - just as he feared: nothing on Marissa. This didn't make any sense. He slammed his head back against the pillow in irritation.
Ferb was taking a small nap, for he was so worried about Phineas that he hadn't slept well that night. Phineas knew that Candace was on the phone with Stacy (or that Jeremy guy, he thought to himself), and she'd be busy. He looked at a picture that was filed under strange occurrences in his album book, and he found the picture that was drawn of Bellidor disguised as him. The eyes still haunt his dreams...those eyes. He'd been lucky Moon was his friend...Moon...Moon! He looked out the window. He knew where Moon lived...she's GOTTA remember...she was his last hope. He slowly, quietly got out of bed, and he headed out to the old Shadowshire house. The woods and exterior still gave him the creeps, but he'd been there enough times to know that Moon kept the place safe. He walked up the driveway, and he got to the door. If she didn't remember Marissa or even believe him, he knew he was all alone on this. He took a deep breath, and he knocked on the door. Answering the door, Moon came out groggily.
"What'dyou want, Phin?" Moon yawned, "It's the middle of the day, you know..."
"I know, I know you sleep during the day...but...this is an emergency,"
Phineas looked at her with pleading eyes that he knew were the closest he'd ever come to warming the cockles of her heart.
Moon only sighed. "Fine, c'mon in. Guess I don't have anything better to do today anyhow..."
"Whether you believe me or not, just," Phineas sighed, "Keep an open mind here, okay?"
Moon shrugged, allowing Phineas to continue.
"Marissa's missing," Phineas said.
"Marissa who?" Moon inquired, her words garbled for having been mid-yawn.
"You know, your best friend," Phineas reminded her. He hoped that would spark something in her mind.
"No, you're standing right here, genius," Moon told him.
"No, my sister."
Moon groaned. "Not your stupid sister. Please tell me you left her at home-?"
"Not Candace."
"Well she is your sister, isn't she?"
"No, Marissa is my sister. My other sister," Phineas clarified.
"Marissa? Marissa who?"
Phineas' heart sank. So not even Moon remembers, which meant he was all alone. Phineas felt himself get dizzy again, and he collapsed on the ground. Moon was a little startled to see her friend like this. Who was this Marissa chick he was talking about? Without another word, she scooped him up into her arms gently. As she scooped him up, she could feel his forehead was burning up. What was Candace doing to him, anyway? She rolled her eyes, and she carried Phineas into Shadowshire up to one of the bedrooms. After placing him gently on the bed, she covered him up, and Moon gave him an ice pack for his forehead. Clearly Candace wasn't taking care of her little brother...again. She wondered how Ferb was doing. Moon shrugged, and she curled up on the floor, for she much rather preferred the floor than beds anyway. She watched Phineas sleep, so innocent and yet...poor kid had a raging fever. It was plain to see the fever! His forehead was red! Moon knew she'd probably be keeping him here for at least a few hours, maybe the whole day. Maybe he'd just spend the night. Eventually, she drifted off to sleep.
It was much later when Phineas woke up to the smell of bacon cooking downstairs. Just as he was about to get out of bed, Moon popped in carrying a plate of eggs, squirrel-bacon and doonkleberries. She caught him getting out of bed, and being the friend she was, she wasn't about to let him get MORE sick.
"Uhp, uhp, uhp, sit, boy," Moon scolded, and Phineas sat back down as she gave him the plate.
He ate without any hesitation. He couldn't remember the last time he'd had dinner-breakfast-food in bed. He shrugged, and Moon gave as much a smile as she could produce.
"So? How you feelin'?" asked Moon.
Phineas sighed. "Dejected."
"Hmm...so...who is this Marissa person?"
"She…" Phineas sighed, "Forget it. You don't believe me. Nobody believes me."
"About what?"
"Marissa."
"Oh."
Suddenly the doorbell rang, and in came Ferb, giving Phineas a playful glare. Phineas knew that meant he was in trouble with Ferb for not telling him...and probably that he'd be in more trouble with the family. He sighed, waved good-bye to Moon, and he and Ferb headed back to the house. Moon had to admit she was a little concerned for Phineas. He seemed so upset. Who was this Marissa person, and why did Phineas know her?
As soon as Phineas and Ferb stepped into the house, instantly Phineas could see Linda standing there with a very disappointed glare. He cringed a bit, knowing his mom was going to yell at him for not only leaving with a raging fever, but without telling anyone where he was going. Ferb knew as well Phineas was going to get yelled at. He didn't want to see him get yelled at...not alone at least, so he decided to hold his hand for support. He remembered how panicked Candace was when she woke him up to say Phineas was gone. They'd searched everywhere in the house, in fear that Phineas left to go find this imaginary Marissa person. Luckily, Ferb had remembered Phineas sometimes goes to Moon's for awhile when he's upset. Linda was about to yell...but seeing Phineas so upset and scared, she only sighed.
"Phineas, I'm not going to yell at you. That doesn't mean I'm thrilled you just got up and left without telling us or Ferb or Candace. The condition you're in, you shouldn't be running around, okay?"
Phineas only nodded staring at the ground. Linda frowned in sympathy. She'd never seen Phineas this upset...but...why? Was this imaginary Marissa one of his favorites of his imaginary friends? Was she his first one but never mentioned her? She just didn't understand why the disappearance of this Marissa seemed to upset him so much. She got down so she was level with Phineas. Tomorrow, she'd take him to the psychiatrist to end this pain.
"Phineas, tomorrow, everything's going to be better, okay?" Linda said, gently placing her hand under his chin (whatever part of his head that is, whether it's small or not) and leading it so they're looking each other in the eyes, Phineas' tears glistening with tears, "Everything's going to be better."
Phineas nodded, not knowing what his mom was planning to do, and he headed off to bed with Ferb holding his hand and walking beside him.
I must say I am disappointed I still haven't gotten more drabble requests...so I will give ONE more chapter for people to send requests for drabbles. They can involve Phineas or Marissa, but not together. (That comes later. I promise). Heck the drabbles could be about Ferb even! Just send in ideas via PM or review. Anyway...I'm kinda not in the mood to do review responses. I'll do review responses every other chapter if that's okay with guys.
Please review
Carpe Diem!
