Hey it's G.T. here with an update for Flames of the Heart. Honestly at first I was drawing blanks for this just like in Return of the Uzumakis Redone, but unlike that story, once I started here I was shot with inspiration. Also to everyone sending me messages about Naruto Rise of the Ryukage and the Omnigan. It's done, there's going to be a sequel but after I complete another story or two. I first want to do a neglected Naruto/DBZ crossover idea.

Anyway I don't own Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, if I did Martin wouldn't have been Finn's father.

Finn's Endurance Test

Jake the Dog watched as his recently royal bro leave heading to the Fire Kingdom with the two women that not only caused his recent heartbreak, but are part of the reason he's now the Ice Prince.

"Jake." A voice called bringing him out of his thoughts.

Jake turned and looked at BMO.

"Don't worry Jake, Finn will be fine." The little computer said to him.

"I know BMO, but I'm more concerned about his current company." Jake replied.

"Jake we have to trust that Finn can make the right choices on his own." BMO told him.

"That's just it BMO, I trust Finn more than anyone, but it's Marceline and Flame Princess I don't trust after hurting our buddy all those months ago.

[Fire Kingdom/Grassland border]

Within the hour, Finn, Marceline, and Phoebe found themselves at the border.

"So Finny-boy, ready to test the endurance to fire that crown's given you?" Marceline asked.

"Yeah, been ready for months, just couldn't get a good chance to get away from Jake to try it without him worrying." Finn replied to his ex-friend with a smirk that made her heart jump.

With that Finn began to walk into the Fire kingdom without setting his feet on fire.

"Well, looks like I can step into the heat, let's see how long I can take it." He said to them before turning to FP. "Phoebe, can you lead us to where the nearest dungeon is?" Finn asked her.

"I-I think so." She stuttered a bit before taking off with Finn and Marcy following her.

Within two hours the trio found themselves at a dungeon entrance near a small flame village.

"So I guess this was the closest dungeon huh?" Finn asked taking a look around from above. "And the best part is that it's practically the perfect baby steps for me since it's so close to the Grasslands." He added before turning to Phoebe.

"Whoa is this really the same Finn I've known the past three years?" Marceline asked. "The same Finny boy who always leaps before he looks?" She added.

"Zap." Finn said and a ring of ice appeared around Marceline's mouth.

"Was the Marceline the Vampire Queen I've known always such a sarcastic motor mouth?" Finn asked jokingly before turning serious. "Listen Marcy, I'd love to do a dungeon crawl with you both, build a foundation of friendship, but I would prefer to first see how I do outside around the Fire Kingdom. You know to see if there's a time limit because we could probably spend all day in the dungeon, and suddenly, I start to bake like a soufflé." He explained.

"I actually like that idea Finn, because otherwise Marcy and I would have to hurry out with you as quickly as possible, and have to explain to Jake on why you were in such bad shape." FP commented as she melted Marcy's mouth.

"Okay, okay I get it, but I'm so pranking you later for freezing my mouth shut and calling me motor mouth." The Vampire Queen spoke with mischief dancing in her eyes.

"Really?" Finn asked. "I thought it was enough of a prank when I found out you heard me singing in the shower, and saw me getting out." Finn commented with a smirk making Marcy blush enough she could get a good snack out of her own cheeks.

"H-How did you know?" The shocked vamp asked.

"Next time you sneak in when you aren't in our good books, mask your scent." Finn told her making them confused. "When we got home from having a nice meal in Breakfast Kingdom with Simon and Betty during the first week of their honeymoon, Jake caught your scent outside our bathroom." He explained.

Marceline just stood there shocked, and embarrassed while Phoebe giggled a bit knowing that she got outed by a dog that tends to act like a chicken more often than not.

"So Finn." Phoebe began. "Where do you want to go now?" She asked.

"Well I was thinking we could go into that tiny village, get you some armor and a nice weapon as well as maybe find you some lunch before we go back to the Grasslands to get Marcy and me something." Finn replied.

"Okay, but can you explain the armor and weapon reasoning?" FP asked confused since she can turn into fire and create blazing weapons from her own body.

"Well since this dungeon's in your home turf, the monsters and traps would be of your element which might actually hurt you hence the armor, but getting you a weapon would be more for mine and Marcy's safety." He explained.

"Oh I get it, it's because that some dungeons have very small space in certain areas, so FP's normal skills would be bad since they require larger areas for the safety of others." Marcy added.

"So it's more so I don't accidentally bake you both, while still being able to hurt any fire monsters in the dungeon?" Phoebe asked as the two nodded. "Okay, let's go." She said as she started walking to the village with Finn and Marcy following her.

"So Finn, what will we do for lunch if we can't find Phoebe anything?" Marcy asked.

"Well I got some red stuff for you, as for me I could probably go to a lake in the Grasslands, catch and cook some fish, and give the resulting coal to FP." Finn answered impressing the girls.

Once the three arrived in the village they got some looks as they saw the princess of their kingdom walking with two people not of their kingdom.

Within no time at all the three found a shop where they could get weapons and armor, they entered and the shopkeeper was stunned.

"Excuse me sir." Finn said as he came to the shop keep. "I was wondering if you could provide my friend here with some armor, and a close range weapon?" He asked.

"But sir that is the Flame Princess." The fire man said.

"Yes I know, however, despite being royalty she is a capable fighter, and to be honest I once went through a dungeon with her, and saw how capable she is." Finn told him.

"But." The man began before Finn interrupted him.

"Listen, I used to be Finn the Human, an adventurer, I explored most of the dungeons in Ooo, except for the ones in this kingdom, your princess invited me and a friend to explore the dungeons in your kingdom, and all I wish to do is to help her protect herself from traps and monsters of the same element that could hurt her." Finn explained.

"I-I see, so I guess you would also wish to see the strength of our armor first hand?" The merchant asked.

"Yes, because the stronger yet more maneuverable the armor, the better protected she is." Finn replied.

With that the Merchant and Finn looked through the different kinds until Finn saw one particular suit.

"FP, come try this on." Finn called as he showed her a sleek suit of blue armor that looked durable yet also free in the joints to allow full maneuverability in a fight to dodge, run, or jump.

With that Phoebe slipped into the suit.

"So how does it feel?" Finn asked.

With that question she proceeded to punch and kick the air as well as run around the room, and jump into a flip before landing in a crouch.

"It feels amazing." She said as she stood straight.

"Great to hear FP." Finn said with a smile before turning to the Merchant. "Got a sword meant for a lean and agile body type?" He asked.

Once he said that the Merchant handed the princess an orange blade similar in blade to the grass sword, yet resembling a rapier.

"This blade can cut through a fire being as though they were air. This means you must make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands." The man said.

"Wow looks like we have something else to do first before we do our dungeon crawl." Finn said.

"What do you mean Finn?" Marcy asked after being able to look away from Flame Princess' new look.

"Well, I can introduce her to Rattleballs one of PBs old Candy Robots." Finn said. "Honestly, the skills that got me my free will with the crown, I actually learned from Rattleballs." He explained. "Plus it will be kind of entertaining for us, and a test of patience for her." He added confusing everyone.

"Why's that?" FP asked.

"Because when you mess up, Rattleballs will throw eggs at you each and every time." Finn replied.

"Wait!" The merchant chimed in. "First we have to see if you can pay for it even if it's for the Flame Princess, those are the most expensive items in my shop." The man said.

As soon as he spoke Finn put a huge bag filled with jewels on the counter.

"Will this cover it?" He asked.

The merchant opened the bag, and was wide-eyed at how much he was being given,

"Sir, this is actually double the price of the armor and sword." He said making the girls eyes widen in shock.

"Keep it, you could probably use it to expand your store, plus, it actually won't put a dent in all the treasure my brother and I have." Finn said with a chuckle at the end.

After that the trio left the store.

As they were walking through the village the fire people turned, and stared in shock to see their princess in the village with two non-fire elementals in the best armor from their weapons merchant. Seeing all the eyes on them Finn turned to the closest woman and walked over to her.

"Excuse me ma'am." He said gaining her attention as well as the others around her.

"Y-Yes?" The fire woman asked nervous seeing a non-fire elemental talking to her.

"I was wondering if you could point me to a place where we can get some lunch for my friend." Finn said gesturing to Phoebe.

"L-Lunch for the Flame Princess?" She asked before gaining her composure. "Yes actually there is a place where you can get some lunch for the princess, but may I ask who are you and the other woman with you two?" She asked.

"My name's Finn, I used to be the human adventurer who dated the princess, now I'm Finn the Ice Prince, while our other friend is Marceline the Vampire Queen." Making the woman nervous about someone wielding an element that can hurt them while the other was the daughter of the soul sucking Hunson Abadeer.

"Relax, I don't mean any harm, and neither does Marcy." Finn began. "We just wanted to find a place to get a nice lunch for FP." He told the woman.

"But what about the armor on the princess?" She asked.

"Oh we were planning to go on an adventure in a dungeon, and wanted to make sure she had the means to protect herself against monsters without at the same time hurting us." Finn replied.

"Yeah Finn does adventures all the time in monster and treasure filled dungeons, in fact he's gone through each and every one in Ooo except for the ones here in the Fire Kingdom." Marcy commented.

"So for these adventures here, our princess is a key?" The woman's husband asked.

"Nope, she's a companion and friend otherwise I wouldn't have got her the best armor and sword your merchant had." Finn replied stunning the two.

"Then if it's not too much trouble allow me to prepare a lunch for the princess." The woman said.

With that the woman and her husband brought the trio to their home where they gave FP a delicious lunch before they went back to the grasslands believing Finn was ready for long trips in the Fire Kingdom.

And Boom chapter 11 for Flames of the Heart is done. Honestly if I didn't end it there, it would've been even longer. I hope you all know the routine, good reviews, constructive criticism to improve the story, and ideas are allowed. If you don't like the story, you don't have to read it.
