Another offensive story from me! What the hell is wrong with me? I think this was going in the direction of human trafficking love story blah blah blah
Prologue
"Repeat after me," the man with his foot on my back, pressing my face to the floor said, "I am worthless without my husband."
My body was shaking, his booted foot pressing between my shoulder blades making it almost impossible to think. I cried out when the riding crop smacked harshly against my rear.
"Repeat!" Another smack from the riding crop.
"I-I am worthless without my h-husband!" I managed to choke out.
"Again! Louder!" The riding crop smacked me again.
"I am worthless without my husband!"
"Again!"
"I am worthless without my husband! I am worthless without my husband!" I screeched, my throat raw.
"That's right. You are worthless. Worthless without your husband."
Chapter One
I was walking back to my apartment after work. The street was nearly inactive, the only ones awake at this ungodly hour were criminals and those who worked long hours at
a bar. I was not a criminal. I was that girl who worked long hours at a dying bar.
I couldn't wait to get home and strip off my clothes and take a long hot shower. I was desperate to get the stench of cigarettes and poverty off my skin.
"Got some spar change?" A homeless man asked me.
"No." I kept walking passed him.
I finally reached my apartment complex and sighed in relief. I was digging in my pocket for a key when suddenly, a pair of hands grabbed me. I gasped, dropped my key, and tried to turn around.
A rag appeared over my mouth, I opened my mouth to scream but, as I took a deep breath in, I felt my body begin to shut down. Before I blacked out, I realized that there had been chloroform on the rag. Against my will, I passed out.
Sometime Later
I was woken to my body being jostled. Groggily, I opened my eyes, but was blinded by a bright light. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to move my hand to rub them but was stopped.
"Come on, wake up," a harsh male voice said.
"Huh-wha-," my mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton balls.
"Come on, you need to wake up and drink something. We're almost there." The man said again.
I was jerked into an upright position; something was pressed against my lip.
"Drink stupid!"
I tried opening my eyes again, it was clearer, but still blurry. There was most definitely a man standing in front of me. A straw was pressed harder against my lips.
"Drink!" He ordered once again.
"Where am I?" I choked out.
A sharp slap across my face made me cry out, the sharp throbbing in my cheek began.
"Drink now. And don't talk. Don't make me hit you again."
To avoid getting slapped again, I took a large sip of the warm water he was offering. I managed to choke it down. When the water stopped coming through the straw, it was pulled from my lips and was I tossed backward. I yelped when my head struck something hard.
I realized I was in a car. It started moving again. I counted the minutes in my head, we were driving exactly thirty minutes before the car came to a sudden halt. My stomach was swirling and my head was spinning with ideas of what was going on.
The doors to the car opened and I was harshly jerked out. My bare feet were dragging against the gravel. I kept my eyes wide open to take in my surroundings.
I was being dragged by two men to a big plain building. I could see several other people. Men holding girls similar to me. Stories of young women being taken and sold. Human trafficking. Sex Slavery.
My eyes widened with sudden clarity and I began to struggle.
Chapter Two
The men cursed as I began to fight in their arms. Their grips tightened around my arms. I started screaming.
"Help! Somebody help me!" I screeched loudly.
"Shut up goddamn it!" I was hit in the back of the head. I slumped.
"Jesus, don't fucking kill her idiot," The other man said, "If she fucking dies then we lose a shit ton of money."
"She was screaming, what the fuck did you want me to do?"
"Lift her fucking head."
One of them jerked my head back. I felt a pair of fingers press against my pulse, then one of them lifted my eyelids.
"She's alive. Let's just get her inside."
I felt them move my body, my limbs hanging loosely. The gravel underneath me changed to concrete. We were now in the plain building.
"Go get the stuff. It's almost auction time."
I weakly opened my eyes, looking around the building. I was surrounded by people, scary looking men and crying girls. As I was looking, something sharp poked my arm. I jumped, and looked down. A needle was in my arm, and the man was jamming down the plunger.
My veins felt cold and a tingling sensation started to wash over my body. Everything became hazy. My brain was covered in a fog. I could barely feel my body being pulled and dragged.
Drugs. I was shot with drugs. Something to keep me unable to fight or speak, but barely conscious.
I don't know how much time had passed but I heard a loud voice.
"Welcome all to the auction! We have a fine selection to choose from. We all know how this goes, so, why don't we get started?"
I started fading in and out
