May 1st 1547
"Your Majesty," a maid said. "The Dowager Princess is here to see you."
"Alright. I will see her." He kissed both her cheeks. "Mother is well?"
"Yes but you are now the King of England. So you cannot see me and your sister as often."
"Mother is correct. Why don't you and Elizabeth come to court?"
She sighed as if the weight of the world was on her shoulders. "You know this place holds many memories for me."
"Mother Katherine loved father. She would have done it anyway Mother."
Anne looked up at the ceiling as if searching for answers. "Perhaps. Perhaps I should have told her to come with me to see him instead." She sobbed.
Edward hugged her. "It's okay Mother. I will be the King father wanted me to be. And I will care for you and Elizabeth like father intended."
She nodded and sniffled. "Yes. Your father had many hopes for you. With Mary being married off so many years ago I can't stand to lose Elizabeth too."
"Don't worry Mother. I will certainly arranged a good match for her. Rest assured."
"Thank you. I should returned to Pembroke manor now."
"Of course."

She closed her eyes as his last words came to her. 'You have made me the most happy in this life Anne. Can you say the same?
Wiping her eyes, she smiled as brightly as the sun on her face. Yes, Henry. You have.
