"I'm innocent." The ravenette announced from where she was unceremoniously squashed between the door and Klaus' huge and bulky form. Kyoya glanced in the rear view mirror, taking in her nonchalant expression and carefree attitude. He wanted nothing more than to wrap his fingers around her throat, but he pushed down the anger and focused on getting them to WBBA as fast as they could.
The greenette's gaze flickered to the boy next to him and worry replaced his anger. Kenta had gone into withdrawal ever since they had set out again, knees pulled up to his face, hidden behind his arms, rocking back and forth as if trying to get rid off an evil spirit. The doe eyed boy had recognized the murderer but he was too shocked to say a word. Kyoya just hoped Gingka and Madoka could coax something out of him.
"I have an amazing explanation for doing whatever I just did." the girl- Mikaela- tried again. It was too much for him and Kyoya swerved the car, pulling up quite suddenly. He twisted in his seat and grabbed a fistful of her jacket pulling her close until there faces were a mere inches away.
"Murder," he hissed through gritted teeth, "does not need an explanation. It doesn't have a legitimate reason." He released her with a shove and turned back to the road. "It's just one of those things that are wrong." Mikaela burst out laughing and he set his mouth in a grim line.
"Oh yes." she chuckled gleefully. "So is abandoning you family and killing your parents. But isn't that what you did, Kyoya Tategami?"
His hand had been reaching for the ignition. He dropped it now, shocked to the core.
"How...?" was all he could spit out. Mikaela settled back in her seat and drew an X across her lips.
"What's the matter, luv? Lion got your tongue?" she asked in a sugary sweet voice. Kyoya sat stone still, facing the front and unable to move. He felt a small hand on his shoulder.
"She's just messing with you Kyoya," Kenta whispered bitterly. "Just the way she messes with everyone. Don't let it get to you." The words brought the greenette out of his trance and he nodded curtly, pulling on to the road.
"Let's just get her back to base and get her locked up." he growled, reassuring himself more than the others. "We can find out what to do then."
"Hey, guys. Is it just me or is Goth girl over there watching us a little too intently?" Chao Xin asked as they group made their way to the SUV. Everyone looked to see who Chao Xin was discreetly motioning to.
It was a girl decked out in black and silver, with black aviator sunglasses on, leaning against a black and silver Vincent Black Shadow.
"How can you tell with those blackout sunglasses she's got on?" Aguma asked.
"Uh, can we keep moving?" Bao asked, speeding up slightly. At the same time, the woman leaning against the bike started towards the group.
"Uh, yeah. Definitely keep moving." Chao Xin agreed, also speeding up.
Tsubasa had already reached the SUV, and was attempting to start the vehicle, but it kept sputtering and dying out. He scowled, "Great."
Just as he was about to get off to check under the hood, and Bao was to get in, the girl behind him pulled a remote out and the side door slid shut, the windows rolled up almost all the way- only a third remained down- and the doors locked.
Effectively cutting Bao off from the group.
Bao whipped around, dropping his backpack, and throwing a punch at the girl.
The woman simply caught his fist, grabbed his wrist, and twisted it behind his back, causing Bao to cry out in pain and buckle over.
"Damn it! Bao!" Aguma's shout could be heard from within the van.
"Oh, little brother." The woman purred, "I thought you had a code for hitting women?"
"N- not you... bitch." Bao hissed back.
The woman scowled, and then threw Bao against the tarmac, face first as she pinned his other arm above his head and still kept the former one behind his back. She leaned down, and began whispering something in his ear.
"Kuro... Let. Me. Go." Bao growled, struggling against the woman's vice grip.
"Shut up." Kuro hissed, fingers digging into Bao's skin, "Or I'll knock you out. Now, listen, and listen closely, it's for your own good- if you'll do it."
"Why would I listen to anything you have to say?" Bao snarled back.
"Because if you don't, all it takes is the click of a button, and your friends are blown sky high." Kuro murmured.
Bao froze, eyes widening. He swallowed the lump in his throat, "What do you want then?"
"Good boy." Kuro purred, and immediately became all business-like. "When you get back to the WBBA building, you're going to have a visitor. A comrade of mine, but five times worse when she's pissed, so don't do anything wrong."
"So what am I supposed to do? Get down on my knees and profess my undying love for her?" The red head asked sarcastically. Kuro couldn't help a chuckle.
"That would be a beautiful addition, but no. Your job is to... persuade a group of people to cooperate, or believe me it will get very ugly."
"Who?" Bao whispered, dreading the answer.
"The Legendary Bladers." Kuro whispered, voice cold. "You have two hours, no more and no less. Starting..." she moved slightly and pushed a button on her watch. A low beep indicated a timer. "...now."
Bao swallowed again, "And if I don't?"
"Watch all the people around you that you care about drop dead." Kuro let her brother go, and smiled sweetly, her voice becoming louder, "Remember little brother, two hours until the cavalry rolls in. If they're not convinced, we'll have a lil' problem now won't we?"
Then, as Kuro turned, the van unlocked itself. Almost instantly Wang Hu Zhong and Tsubasa burst from the SUV.
"Oh and one more thing!" Kuro called back over her shoulder, "If you lot aren't away from that car in the next sixty seconds, you'll be dug six feet under the cold hard ground!"
Bao's eyes widened, "Move!"
Trusting the redhead, the group bolted away from the SUV. After about a minute, and nothing had yet to happen, Mei- Mei asked, "Maybe she was cuffing?"
"It's-" Chao Xin started, but was cut off by the van exploding, metal pieces flying sky high.
"That's the funny thing about my sister," Bao glared at the orange and red flames. "She never bluffs about anything."
"Find him yet?" Gingka asked, leaning down to look over Madoka's shoulder. The brunette was currently typing away at her laptop, trying to trace a phone. Well, Ryuga's phone to be more specific.
"Almost..." she replied brow scrunched up. The laptop pinged. "Found him. Get Masamune and Yuu, we've gotta take a small trip downtown."
"This place is low, even by his standards." Masamune commented as he got out of the car. The trace had led them to a seedy motel hidden away in an alley behind a line of first-class restaurants. Gingka cuffed him over the head.
"Let's just find him and get him to WBBA."
The owner/manager of the hotel was a rotund man with a potbelly and a balding head of purple hair. He squinted at the picture the group produced of Ryuga.
"Yeh, I sees him las' night." he said waving the picture away. "Came 'ere and asked for a room. The chick with 'im asked for something small and private."
Gingka raised an eyebrow. "Chick?"
"Black hair? Green eyes? Tall?" Madoka added. The owner nodded his head and took a pull at an inhaler he produced from his pocket.
"Yup. Since the two of them were together, I asked if they wanted a queen-sized bed or two single uns," he chuckled nervously. "Set 'em both off right 'way."
"Why would they want a queen-sized bed?" Yuu chirped up. The situation turned very awkward as they all tried to answer the little boy's question. The owner to another puff of his inhaler and glared at Yuu.
"None of your business."
Yuu crossed his hands over his chest. "You don't have to be so mean, you know." he snapped. It was high time they changed the subject.
"So, what happened then?" Gingka asked. The fat guy shook his head.
"'Aven't seen either of 'em all day. You're free to go knocking." They thanked the man and proceeded down the hall to the room right at the end. Masamune knocked loudly.
"Hey! Ryuga, open up! Ryo wants to talk." he shouted. No answer. He tried the knob and it turned smoothly in his hand, getting raised eyebrows from everyone. Masamune pushed the door open gingerly and peeked in. It was dimly lit and sparsely furnished with a rugged mat, a dresser, a cupboard and two single beds. And sprawled across one of them was Ryuga.
"Finally!" the Striker-wielder declared, "We've been looking everywhere for you." The white-haired boy didn't move causing the ravenette frown. "Are you alive? Ryuga?"
Gingka leaned over and lifted one eyelid. The boy's gold eyes had rolled back into his head and on the bedside table was a small vial, half empty.
"Did he just poison himself!?" Madoka screeched in horror and shook the L-Drago blader by the shoulders, but his head just lolled to one side. Masamune pressed his fingers to the pulse point on the boy's neck. Slowing.
"Possibly not long ago, but we need an antidote. He doesn't have long." He began to search the room, opening drawers, searching through the cupboards and whatnot.
"It's hopeless, we need to identify the poison." Madoka cried. "What are you looking for?"
"The chick isn't here, he's been poisoned but she apparently needs him for something-" Gingka caught on quickly.
"So she probably has an antidote for in case things went wrong." He began to search too, and Yuu snuck under the bed. Madoka began to look through the bedside drawers. Two minutes passed in tense silence, until Yuu's triumphant voice was heard. He emerged from under the spare bed, dusty and smudged with another vial in his hand, filled with a green liquid.
"Is it the right one?" Madoka asked breathlessly, as they all rushed to the boy. Gingka and Masamune exchanged a look.
"Only one way to find out." The Pegasus wielder grabbed the bottle, popped the lid and stuffed the contents down the dying boy's throat. For a minute, nothing happened. And then Ryuga sat up gasping and choking while the others slumped around him in relief.
"What the-hell-happened?" he asked, clutching his throat. Masamune shook his head.
"We were hoping you could tell us."
Ryuga frowned, as if trying to remember something. His breathing had leveled considerably, but he was still pale with shock.
"I don't really..." realization dawned on his face. "That bitch! She punched me and shoved something down my throat. I don't remember anything after that except for her face and... someone else."
"Erm, can you be a little more specific?" Madoka chided. "Hair colour? Tall or not? Girl or guy?"
"...Girl." he said after a moment. "Tall-ish, black hair and looked a bit like Mikaela... Foreign though." He shook his head, frowning. "I heard a name too."
"Can you remember it?"
"N-Neffy." The present couple exchanged looks. She was a new one.
"Well we can look them all up later, but we have to get back to HQ." Masamune pointed out, tapping his watch. "We've got visitors remember?"
"She's actually here?" Ryuga asked in disbelief. He strode down the hallway towards the elevators which would lead to Ryo's office. Next to him Gingka nodded.
"Yeah, Kyoya brought her in about a half hour ago. She was near the airport doing God knows what."
Did God know what?
They rode the elevator to the top in silence, the pinging of the floors passing occasionally breaking the silence. When the doors finally slid open, he found himself facing a rather large crowd.
Dashan and Chi-Yun, Chao Xin and MeiMei who were laughing quietly in a corner and holding hands, accompanied by Bao and Aguma. Zeo and Toby were talking to Masamune in their animated way. Julian Konzern stood out of the way, a little frown creasing his brow, while Wales lounged on a sofa with Sophie's head on his shoulder. He spotted Nile and Demure as well. Along with the Japanese Bladers themselves, they filled the room. Chris was there too as was Yuki talking to an ever-energetic King.
"Well this is a big party." he announced sarcastically and all eyes turned to him.
"If it isn't our victim," Julian drawled, smirking slightly. "What a mess you are in, little boy."
Ryuga glared at the Italian Blader. "Shut the hell up, Konzern." The blonde looked amused.
"That's no way to talk to people who are taking out precious time to help you." he mocked, a smile beginning to form on his sharp features.
Ryuga narrowed his eyes and almost at once, the room filled with the smell of smoke and incense. "No one asked for your help, Frat Boy."
The blonde's ice blue eyes narrowed and was about to retort when Ryo strode in, Hikaru at his heels.
"I don't think it is a very good idea to be fighting at a time like this." he said firmly as he settled down behind his desk. "We've got other things to worry about."
He had everyone's attention now. All the Bladers in the room leaned in to listen to him, tensed. The girl was an imminent threat and she had help. How many more, they had no idea. For five seconds the only sound to be heard was the breathing of about a dozen people
"She hasn't made any attempt to escape or plead innocent yet," Ryo began rubbing his forehead. "But she is extremely calm, as if she knew this would happen."
"Is it possible that she did?" Nile asked quietly. Everyone waited on bated breath for Ryo's reply.
"Perhaps." A beat. "She may be relying on someone to get her out. That of course will be a nearly impossible feat. This building is very hard to break into, and even harder to break out of." Silence enveloped them again with the exception of the soundtrack of a game of Angry Birds playing somewhere in the back. He sighed inwardly but decided against beating up whichever kid was playing that annoying game.
"You're right about her trying to break out with someone's help." Bao said suddenly, and it was as if the gravity in the room shifted when everyone turned to stare at him. He turned as red as his hair and cleared his throat.
"We-" he gestured to Wang Hu Zhong, Aguma and Tsubasa. "Had a little run-in with... and old friend of mine." He exhaled purposefully.
"Unless we cooperate with the girl, we will have a bit of a mess on our hands." He silently checked his watch as a collective gasp went around the room. "The 'cavalry' will attack in ten minutes. They will want an answer and I doubt 'No' will be on their list of acceptable words."
"How many?" Kyoya asked, cracking his knuckles.
"Only one attacked me."
"That makes a total of three including Mikaela and Neffy." Gingka mused, eyebrows knit together.
"However many there may be, we will need to be ready." Ryo said, suddenly brusque and business-like. "Everyone, be ready to intercept any kind of trouble. We don't know how many attackers to expect, so be on your guard." Nods and grunts of agreement. The cheer of Angry Birds as they cleared another level. "And, Yuu, ca you please stop playing that game?" Ryo added, annoyance lacing his voice.
"But I'm not the one who's playing." The little boy said.
"No," Mikaela agreed. "I am."
Everyone turned to see her sprawled across the couch at the back of the room.
He got the biggest shock of his life. One minute they're all serious and the next Mikaela's sitting right behind him. And he didn't even notice her the whole time. He scrambled away as fast as he could, bumping into Ryuga's legs. The snowy haired male helped him off the floor and pushed Kenta behind him, protecting him. All around the greenette, hands were going to bey cases and Ryo was standing up behind his desk, shocked to the core.
All this while, Mikaela continued to play on her cell, bopping her feet to the music. She looked so cool and calm that Kenta began to wonder if he was just seeing things. She couldn't possibly take on all of them together. But she looked so confident and relaxed...
"But you were- how did you get out?" Ryo demanded. The ravenette yawned and stretched like a panther, before getting up off the couch and strutting up to Ryo's desk. Klaus attached his bey, ready to let rip but Ryo held up a hand. Mikaela took her time, checking out everyone as she passed.
"Your security is pathetic." she drawled. Her eye caught Nile's. "Hello gorgeous." she said with a wink and the Egyptian narrowed his eyes. She kept on walking and pulled out the chair in front of Ryo's desk, climbing on and throwing her legs over one armrest. "Plus," she added, "The women you sent to frisk me were horrible at their job. You might as well have sent in the boys."
"I can take her back right now if you want, Director." Kyoya volunteered with a glint in his eyes. Something told Kenta he wasn't going to 'take' her down so much as drag her by the hair.
"That won't be necessary Kyoya." Ryo said smoothly, settling down behind his desk again and lacing his fingers in front of his mouth. "What do you want, Miss Harper?" Mikaela giggled.
"Miss? Oh that's new. I'm used to Queen, Boss, Lady... Miss is new. I like it." she rambled. The sunlight filtering in reflected in her green eyes as she laughed and for a second Kenta could have sworn that her eyes looked... fractured. The eyes of a madman.
She stopped laughing abruptly. "I need enough information and resources to fight an army." An army? What the heck was she trying to do?
"And what if I can't help you with that?" Ryo asked coolly, placing his hands on the desk, palm down. Mikaela tutted and shook her head.
"Ryo Daisuke Hagane," she drawled and the fiery haired man winced. "Your middle name means 'great help'. So tell me," Her expression turned cold and the corners of her mouth turned down. "Are you going to be helping me... or not?"
"Perhaps I would be the better person to help you out here." Julian's crisp voice broke the silence. Mikaela lolled her head backwards to look at the Italian.
"Julian Konzern, you moccioso viziato. What can you possibly do?" Julian leaned on the desk and looked straight at her challenging gaze.
"I have money. And everything can be bought." She grinned at him with her teeth. Kenta shuddered; she looked madder then the Cheshire Cat.
"If that is so, then great. I need all the Legendary Bladers, files on all the WBBA's rivals and access to every bladers file out there."
"Excuse me?" Was all Ryo could say, his bushy eyebrows disappearing into his spiky hair. She turned her head to look at Mr. Hagane.
"Don't worry, it's on his credit card." she jerked a thumb at Julian. "I don't have that kind of cash, but I'm sure I can pay you back in some other way." The Italian was silent.
"You seem very familiar," he said quietly, as if he knew her face but couldn't quite place his finger on it. "Different, but familiar." She smirked and threw her hands up in the air.
"As I once said," she began. "' Ci vediamo all'Inferno.' "
Time seemed to slow down for Kenta at that point, and many things happened at once. Julian launched himself at the girl, snarling like a psychopath; the security alarms went off all around them; the huge screens on the walls switched off, then turned back on with a single image in the center: Three red letters painted in the center of a full moon; the building shook, followed by the screams of people.
Nothing happened. The elevator began to ping as the carriage ascended the floors. Everyone held their breaths, eyes trained on the metal doors. Mikaela lounged in her chair, humming a song. The elevator reached the top floor.
Kenta felt as if a rock hit him in the chest as Ryuga wrapped his arms around the boy and turned his back to the elevator, just as the doors blew open, pummeling everyone with the pressure. Glass shattered, and metal scraped against metal. And then there was silence.
"Well, you took your sweet time." Ryuga finally released the boy and turned to look at the now-destroyed elevator. And stepping out of it was a whole lot of people. One of them was Kat, donning some wicked sunglasses and all around her were complete strangers.
Ryuga looked like he had the breath knocked out of him and Kenta had never seen any kind of emotion like that on the Dragon Emperor's face, his eyes so wide with horror and shock.
"Katerina?" gasped out Ryuga after an extended time of fifteen beats. The silence that followed was deafening and Kenta silently begged for someone to speak up. And then he noticed that Ryuga was focused directly on Kat.
The dark haired woman slid her sunglasses down her nose with a coy cock of her head. "Excuse me?" she asked in a sickly sweet voice, as if she had no idea who Ryuga was. But from the glint in her dark eyes, the green head believed she knew exactly what Ryuga was talking about.
"But it can't be..." Ryuga trailed off and raised a single hand and then dropped it in midair. "I thought you were... Oh, Katerina."
"I'm sorry, but I've got no freaking clue what you're talking about," Kat snapped back, voice cold and laced with venom that even Julian- who was being restrained by Klaus- winced. "Katerina was some poor little girl who was consumed by the fire that consumed her village. It's Kat, got it?"
"If the two of you are done with your reunion, maybe it's time we moved on to another family." Mikaela ordered, and a somewhat familiar looking blonde stepped out from the back, her gold and maroon clothes glinting.
"Crissie?" Chris choked out and stepped towards his sister, but a tall boy with dark hair and grey-blue eyes put out an arm, stopping him in his tracks.
"Hello, brother." she said coolly, her face devoid of any emotion. Another girl standing next to her raised her head and Kenta heard Ryuga take a breath.
"Neffy." he hissed at the girl. Kenta eyed the girl warily. if Ryuga didn't like her, then something was definitely wrong. At first he thought she was related to Mikaela, but then he looked closer. Waist length black hair with shocking white streaks. Almond shaped green eyes and tan skin, her bare arms decorated with Egyptian symbols... wait what!?
Can we move on to another family?
His eyes sought out Nile who was looking at the girl. Not angry or shocked or upset. Just resigned.
"I thought you might have joined up with her." he said with a shake of his head. "You always did love your poisons, didn't you Nefertiti?"
"Well little brother, what can I say? Poison and I are best friends." Neffy quipped, smiling coldly.
"Well at least I don't have to tell everyone who I am." said another girl with jet black-and-silver hair. The black eyes were painted in silver eyeshadow, giving her a look of a wolf.
"Who are you?" Kenta asked, surprising even himself with the question. The block in his throat had disappeared. The wolf-girl face palmed.
"Bao!" she yelled at the redhead in the corner. The boy winced and cleared his throat.
"Everyone, this is the girl who contacted me about the Legendary Bladers. My sister, Kuro."
"Blackheart." The girl corrected. "Just Blackheart." Mikaela clapped her hands slowly, diverting all attention back to her.
"We are the Children of the Night." she said, sitting up and propping one foot up on the leather seat, arm dangling off her knee. "And we don't usually take 'no' for an answer."
As her eyes surveyed the room, Mikaela couldn't help the little thrill she got. They all looked worried, shocked and in different levels of disarray. Pathetic, but fun.
"Although it kills me to say this... I have to protect all of you." she said with a sigh. "And in order to do that, I need everything I've asked for."
"From who?" Ryuga asked sharply. His presence was a little surprising. Mikaela had been counting on his absence to help her plan. He wasn't as easy to manipulate as the others. Besides, she had other plans for him.
"Who do we need to be protected from?" he repeated slowly, deliberately as if trying to make a small child understand. What would have annoyed a normal person sent waves of fury rolling through her. Crap. This was exactly why she didn't want him there. She wasn't about to take her pills for the mission and he was really the only one who could piss her off that much.
"We can discuss that once I have a confirmation on my goods." she replied, trying to keep her voice level but it shook with rage. Zara started forward from behind her, but she held up a hand.
"Chill Z, I'm fine." But she could tell the ravenette wasn't convinced. And by the looks of it, neither did Ryuga. But she forgot all about that and pulled out a knife and plunged it point down into the desk in front of her.
Right between Ryo's hand and the emergency shut down button he had been reaching for.
"I don't think so." she spat out, sitting back. Suddenly her phone rang shrilly and she smirked.
"Finally Luke!" she cried into the phone. She heard a crash and from the corner of her eye, saw Wales stand up so fast the coffee table turn over. She listened then said, "Because the hotel manager was annoying." she paused for a moment. "Did you have fun?". The answer was satisfying.
"What did you do to him?" A quavering female voice asked. Madoka Amano stepped forward, hands curled into fists."That idiotic hotel manager was getting to me." Mikaela said, wagging her fingers in the air as if to get rid of flies. "He won't be breathing very soon." Ryuga's glare deepened and he moved towards her but was immediately stopped by Ralph's big hand on his shoulder.
"Don't." Was all the boy said to the white-haired male.
"I'm going to stop you before you hurt him." Ryuga warned the girl, who yawned.
"Oh sorry love. The deed's already done."
"Can I help you with something young man?" The pot-bellied owner asked the blonde teen with the grey eyes. The boy smiled bashfully.
"Well yes, I actually got a bit lost. Could you have a look at this map please?" The manager stepped out from behind the counter just as the boy stepped in front and they collided. The map fell to the floor along with the owner's inhaler and a pen. The blonde immediately bent down and retrieved everything.
"Terribly sorry," he said quickly and handed the man his things. What the manager didn't notice was how the boy had palmed the inhaler and replaced it with a copy.
The owner took a puff on his inhaler and patted the boy on his back. "No harm done, kid." And he took another puff.
Suddenly the room wasn't so steady anymore. The man's knees felt weak and he began to feel light-headed. The inhaler slipped out of his hands as he crumbled to his knees.
"Are you alright sir?!" the boy asked him. "Maybe you should take a breath." With that he forced the man onto his back, and with one hand around his throat, pumped the inhaler until the manager's eyes rolled back into his head and his hand went limp. Luke rose to his feet and dropped the inhaler, peeling away his wig and contacts.
"Thanks for the help." he said sarcastically, and left the dead man on the floor.
He placed a call to his boss.
"Remind me why I did that again?" he asked Mikaela, strolling away from the motel.
"Because the hotel manager was annoying." She paused for a moment. "Did you have fun?" Lucas couldn't help but grin as he pulled his hood over his ginger head.
"Most fun I've had all week."
"My brother works for you too?" Wales asked in shock. "Lucas..."
"You love your brother." Mikaela phrased it as a fact. "And I'm very sure you want to meet him soon." Wales nodded vigorously.
"When...?" he croaked but the girl shook her head.
"If all of you don't help me, there wont be anything of you left to meet your brother." the redhead paled as she continued.
"Mothers will lose sons," she looked at Kenta. "Friends will disappear," she glanced at Masamune, Toby and Zeo. "A father-" she motioned to Ryo. "Will lose his only child."
"And how do we know this isn't some elaborate plot of yours, Camilla?" Julian growled. "After all, you are a genius when it comes to scheming."
"Julian," she was tired of this argument. "I'm not the same person I was. I don't want everyone to suffer what I've already been through."
Great. You've gone all emo.
"I will help you." Ryo's deep voice cut in. "Family comes first." He looked at the younger Hagane with a mixture of pride and fatherly affection that cut Mikaela deeply. I wish my Dad was the same.
"Then it's settled." she declared. "I'm going to appoint a Child to protect every one of you. They are security, but also sparring partners and teachers. They'll help you hone your skills."
Mikaela surveyed the crowd. No family together. Ever. It was literally taboo.
"Kat," she pointed at the brunette. "Kyoya." she pointed at the greenette. Kyoya rolled his eyes and shuffled aside to make room for the brunette to go stand next to him. Kat did so without a word- for a change.
"Crissie, you can take Bao." she instructed. "And Kuro can stay with Aguma." the girls took up their designated places."Neffy is with Chris. Ralph," the big boy looked at her. "Can you take up Yuki? He'll need some extra guarding."
"Sure, juvenca." he answered with a crooked smile. She returned it and pointed at King. "You are stuck with Zara." the blunette grinned at her friend and winked.
"I'm sure we'll be fine." he said, still grinning. All the girls in the room rolled their eyes at his very public flirting. Mikaela wrapped up assigning people soon after.
"Aren't we forgetting Dynamis and Tithi?" Gingka asked. The name sent a shiver down her spine and made her chest hurt. She blinked to stop tears from forming in her eyes and cleared her throat.
"No I haven't. Ryuto is with them at Mist Mountain. I can trust the guy to keep them safe." she answered but her voice still sounded strangled.
"Now that that's out of the way, can we know the whole story?" Ryo challenged, and the green eyed girl sat up straighter.
"Lucifer is about to raise Hell."
