CHAPTER 11

It took two weeks before any leads showed up. When the team's nerves were close to breaking, a "cousin" of Kamekona's came up with information about a party at a luxurious night club on the island. The place belonged to the Dolokov and the party was cover for an auction for girls being sold by the Dolokov. Steve decided the team would go to the party in disguise, trying to find as much proof as possible about the illegal operation.

It was a fresh night on the island; a soft breeze blew, the sky was studded with stars and the full moon illuminated the night. Steve and Chin arrived at the club, impeccable in their tuxedos. Kono was already inside, disguised as a waitress, and Danny was inside a van outside, organizing the operation and watching the rest of the team's back.

Chin and Steve sat at a table near the little stage where a black piano was placed. Both ordered drinks from the "waitress". Kono substituted the vodka for water before delivering the drinks.

The soft background music stopped, and a man seated at the piano started to play. A beautiful woman appeared from the back of the bar and posed in front of the microphone - which looked straight out of a movie from the 50s - and began singing in a voice more beautiful than anyone was Izzie.

She was wearing a gorgeous deep blue dress in satin that hugged her figure to the waist, the skirt flaring out to end at her knees. Her feet were encased in black stilettos, her hair in a bun with a white magnolia to one side.

Steve couldn't take his eyes off her, entirely forgetting why he was in the bar. Completely hypnotized by her voice and figure.

There's a saying old

Says that love is blind

Still we're often told

"Seek and ye shall find"

So i'm going to seek

A certain lad

I've had in mind[...]

I'd like

To add his initial

To my monogram

Tell me

Where is the shepherd

For this lost lamb?[...]

There's a somebody

I'm longin' to see

I hope that he turns

Out to be

Someone to watch over me [...]

Won't you tell him please

To put on some speed

Follow my lead

Oh, how i need

Someone to watch over me

Izzie's eyes were caught by Steve's, like they were the only people in the world. It stayed that way until almost the end of the song. Suddenly a woman yelled and a shot could be heard. Panic exploded in the bar; people were running everywhere and several young girls ran inside with three big guys with guns after them.

- Five-0; stop! – said all the team, backup guns in hand –

N/A: The music that Izzie sings in the chapter is called "Someone to watch over me" by George and Ira can enjoy the song here: watch?v=gDhF-PsDuCw, in the great american singer Ella Fitzgerald voice or watch?v=EXyf0cmQm3I, by the japanese singer Ayaka Hirahara( i think this version is the closest to how I imagine Izzie would sing to Steve)
