CHAPTER 11 JUST A CRUSH

A/N: OKAY! First let me freak out because Ian replied the other day and im soo happy! THEN NEXT CHAPTER IS HERE. I really enjoyed writing it so I hope you enjoy :) Thanks for everyone who kept pushing me to upload. Im back! Sorry for any mistakes.

EZRA'S POV

"Can we have a word Ezra?" said Toby as serious as ever. I nodded and got up giving Aria a reassuring smile. We walked out of the cafeteria and stood next to the door.

"So?" I asked waiting for them to start talking first.

"We have something to offer" They said and I nodded to hear the rest of their offer. "We are giving you one last chance to make things right Ezra, everything can be as it has always been, the four of us. But we have to trust you again and you probably imagine what we want you to do. Last chance. Are you in or out forever?" said Toby.

And once again I had that choice to be made. The one I already made four years ago. As all the memories, all the bad and good memories ran through my head I knew what I had to do.

I closed my eyes as I felt anger, actually more like fury, raise through my veins after hearing what they wanted me to do. I got closer to Toby looking straight into his eyes, challenging him. The other two backed a few meters away not doing anything more, both of them looking at the floor, silently.

"Do you really know me that little, to actually drag me out of a fantastic and sweet lunch with the girls to ask me something you already know the answer to?" I said a few inches away from him. He took a step back and continue to look at me, his eyes not saying anything. "What did you expect huh? Im not that little stupid boy I always have been anymore. She is my girlfriend, whether you like it or not and that is not going to change. Im not going to do anything to her and if you even thought for a second you would know you are out of your minds. I'm already ashamed enough of what I did and you should to! You should start thinking about growing up. Its about time." As I had said this my voice had became louder until I had ended screaming.

Toby just sighed, look at the boys for a second that didn't return the look, and then turned to look at me smirking. Jerk, i thought. He put his hand inside his pockets and then talked. "Well there you blew your last chance and just so you don't say I didn't warn you, Its going to be much more worse than you think" he said.

"I didn't need any last chances Toby, I don't want any last chances. Im happy now and you are not going to take that away from me. I don't give a shit about popular or not. I have everything i want with me now. You just lost a friend and probably will loose two more and your girl if you keep this going on. And just to be clear, I wont let you touch Aria" I said with a menacing tone.

"You don't get it lover boy, we don't have to do anything to her, at least physically, but what if she found out of everything, and when i say everything i mean every detail." He said this time stepping closer. "That it was you who played all those nasty jokes on her, that it was you who ruined her high school year with that one big one?"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He was really putting the blame on me and nothing had happened that way. He was going to destroy me and Aria forever with all those lies. "You made me do it! You planned it all, you have always played me like I was a little fool. Btu you wont anymore. I don't even know why I was friends with you"

He chuckled. "Yes but who was the one that actually did it? It wasn't me how spread all those flyers. Do you remember them? Yeah, it was such a good edit, Aria on the middle being edited onto a fat old woman. What was the slogan? Oh yes, read alone die alone." My anger grew as seconds passed.

"I cant believe you are going to do this! You edited that! It was you who made me do all those things in order to keep being your friend! Fuck, is that all you really cant think about? Yourself? Cant you see I'm happy, I though you were my friend, now its clear you are not but Im just asking you to drop it. Leave Aria and I alone." I told him.

"No, I wont drop it. You are the one to blame now little Ezzy" My jaw tighten when he called me that. "After that she was humiliated, laughed at, for what you did and then it was the one of the locker with the note outside about who was taking her to the dance and inside there was a blank piece of paper. Alone. that was epic."

"That was cruel" I told him. He smiled and nodded.

"Look Ezra to make you see that I do care about you. Im giving you a last chance, you can come with us and leave that slut of yours you call girlfriend" he said. I closed my eyes trying to contain the anger in me.

"First of all, you don't care about me at all so stop pretending. I told you I don't any more chances with you I can carry on with my life without you and you should too." I said getting closer to him. "Second, don't ever call Aria that because she is not and Im done with your childish behavior. Watch your words." I said poking him in the chest.

"Im just saying the truth, that dirty little slut has got you around her finger." and that was my trigger. I could let him call me things and spread rumors about me. But not about Aria.

I pushed him against a locker holding him up by the collar of his shirt. The other two boys were trying to pull me away from him but I just kept smashing him against them. He deserved it. Then I pushed him to the ground from where the two boys helped him up. He launched himself at me trying to hit me but my fist hit his jaw and nose first making him scream. His hands travelled up to his bleeding and probably broken nose. I got closer to him, I could see the fear in his eyes.

"I told you to watch your words" I said before storming into the cafeteria, grabbing my bag and heading out leaving a dumfounded Aria behind.

ARIA'S POV

"Excuse me" I said to the girls as I got up going after Ezra but when I stepped out of the cafeteria the only thing that I saw was Toby being helped to get up by Jake and Caleb with blood all over his face. I gave him a sad look which he ignored as he went into the bathroom. I wondered what had happened. I kept walking until I was outside high school but still neither Ezra or his car were nowhere to be seen.

I went back into the cafeteria and walked to where the girls were picking up my bag. I told them about what had happened and Hanna offered to take me to Ezra's. I wasn't about to stay here waiting if he could be hurt too. Ten minutes later I was saying goodbye to Hanna that had just let me at his front door. His car was parked a few meters away. I knocked on the door hoping he would opened and some minutes later as I was about to leave he did.

"Hey" I said as I stepped inside. Apart from us the house seemed empty. Ezra gave me a smile before heading to the couch and grabbing the packet of ice and putting it over his swollen hand. "What happened?" I asked.

"Toby happened. I couldn't stand him anymore and hit him" he said shrugging. "He just wouldn't shut up and he kept saying nasty things about you"

"Oh Ezra" I said as I leaned forward and gave him a kiss before hugging him closer. "You don't need to defend me I don't care what he says he is just a kid" Ezra caressed my check as I run my hands through his hair. We were going to kiss once again when his phone rung. He reached for it but I didn't stop kissing him all over his neck. He was just to perfect.

EZRA'S POV.

"Hey mum" I said when I picked up my phone. Aria instantly looked up at me fear in her eyes.

"Ezra! Where are you? the principal just called me telling me you got into a fight with Toby and that you broke his nose. What were you thinking?" she exclaimed. "I leave you alone for a day an this happens? I didn't raise you to be that type of person" she said. She was clearly disappointed.

"Mum you raise me to defend what I care about and that was what I did" I told her. I next thing I heard was a sigh. "He was insulting Aria. I told him to stop, to leave us alone but he didn't he kept pushing me." I said.

"Im not angry with you. But you should be more careful sweetie. I know how you feel about her just try not to get into so much problems" she said. "The principal would like to talk to you tomorrow"

"I figured" I said as I run a hand through my hair and sighed.

"Are you alone or is dad home today? Im sorry I cant be there for you but I'll be back tomorrow" She said.

"No dad's working, but I – I'm not alone" I mumbled.

"Oh I see" she said chuckling. "Just be safe baby. I'll see you tomorrow" she said before she hung up. I stayed there with my phone still next to my ear. Did my mum know Aria was here? Probably. But the most important part, did she just gave me 'permission' to her staying? I was brought out of my thoughts when Aria stood up grabbing her things.

"Where are you going?" I asked confused. She gave me a sad smile.

"I don't want you to get in trouble because of me, you are angry with you friends because me and you probably me punished by the principal because of me. Im just problems to you Ezra don't you see that?" she said tears threatening to spill down her cheeks.

"Don't ever think that. You are the best that has ever happened to me." I said getting up and caressing her check. "And my mum wont say anything. She now how much I love you" I said looking at her eyes. Finally I thought. It seemed as if a weight had been lifted of me after telling her how I felt.

"You– You love me?" She asked clearly not believing it.

"Since the first day I met have always been the one" I told her. "I love you Aria Montgomery"

She smiled at me as a tear of happiness rolled down her check. "I love you too Ezra." she replied. "Seems like I never really got over that crush I had on you"

I gave her a smile. "Just a crush? Don't think so." I told her before kissing her.

Things soon got pretty heated as pieces of clothes were discarded across the floor. We were now both laying on the couch just on our underwear when Aria'd hand traveled to my boxers. I stopped kissing her and looked at her.

"You sure?" I asked not wanting to rush things. Wanting it to be perfect. She nodded before reattaching her lips to mine once again. I got up lifting her up with me as I carried us to my room. I laid her on the bed slowly which gave me time to stare at her completely. She blushed. That little gesture made her look even more beautiful than she was. I climbed on top of her kissing her once more.

Needless to say we got pretty little sleep that night. And it felt good, it felt right as all our problems faded for that time.
