Chapter X- Thundask's Fall
Everyone made an impressed face as they walked inside. We were in a circular room with a 10 block radius. The walls and ceiling were most of stone bricks and its cracked variety while the floor had some red carpets and stone blocks. The center of the ceiling had also a large chandelier of redstone torches, the walls had massive 5 block high bookshelves and in the center of the room surrounded by golden blocks on the floor was an obsidian table with a closed floating book.
"These guys live in style eh?" The dwarf commented.
"What's that?" I said pointing at the floating book.
"It's an enchantment table, you enchant tools with it, I think…" Sevented answered. "I don't recommend using one from this place though, at least not without Acacia, she knows much more about this than I do."
"Well then, let's go and smash so'm bones!" The dwarf said, trying to sound braver than his inner fear of death.
The room itself felt cold with the undead stench crawling inside, but suddenly a new air invaded the room, it wasn't good or bad, it was just strange.
"I see you made it far…" A voice said, coming from the top of a bookshelf.
Everyone looked around, trying to find whoever was talking. Unfortunately because it was only lit my redstone torches it was really hard if not impossible to see the top of it. Then the surviving soldier pointed at a place.
"There, I can see something!"
When I looked to where he was pointing there were two cyan eyes looking down on us. It then decided to jump to the floor it was more visible but was still hard to see it clearly.
"Don't be afraid, I'm just in here… Watching your progress…" It said in a creepy but calm tone.
"WHO ARE YOU? REVEAL YOURSELF!" Sevented shouted.
It gave a tiny laugh and resumed speaking. Everyone was now pointing torches and weapons at it. It was hard to tell but was a humanoid shaped in a black robe with thin threads of grey in its ends. Then it hit me, it was the same thing that saved me from Herobrine.
"Sevented… You're brave and strong. But maybe you're a bit too brave at this point for you and your group's safety."
"I won't say it again… WHO ARE YOU?" Sevented warned again, becoming agitated.
"Don't!" I yelled to get his attention. "It was the one that saved me from that ghost in airship!"
"I don't trust this thing… Stay back Rendell, I got this one…" He said, blindly following his instincts.
"What do you do when Acacia's gone…? Now you're blowing off steam to everyone don't you see? I'm sure if you go on like this, you're going to be king of the world…" It said, sarcastically.
"Shut your poisonous tongue!"
"And what…? You're going to kill me? You're just a lost knight that lost everything!"
"SHUT UP!" He shouted, in a fit of rage and pure desperation.
"I wonder what would happen if I killed your lady, hum…?" It said, obviously trying to piss him off.
And that's when he lost it. He charged at it branding his sword and jumped. The humanoid then pulled out its hidden giant cyan sword and parried Sevented's blow with ease.
Sevented's eyes widen as he received an unsuspected punch straight in the stomach. He then flew across the room and hit another bookshelf making it crack. He then landed painfully on the floor and muttered some barely audible obscenities.
Everyone had their faces horrified after what just happened and no one would dare to come close to it.
"Control your rage Sevented." It said, like a mentor, he then turned at the group and finished his speech. "You are brave people but you still need to learn much for your journey to succeed. I know three of you won't make it past this tower, so think carefully and provide a good show! Farewell…" As it finished its words, it faded into the shadow and disappeared.
X-(Thundask's Fall)-X
After we digested what was said, we tried to help Sevented. Amazingly he was mostly unharmed for a blow that sent him that far. After he stood up, he got himself together and resumed to bossing the mission.
"Very well…! We lost too much time… We still have to kill Thundask!" He said, trying to rush everyone. "Find the stairs, everyone."
Everyone nodded back and explored the room, because of the size of the group and the room it didn't took long until the leader found wooden stairs leading upwards. After we walked upwards we explored the next room.
The room was similar to the other with a rug crossing the room into the next stone stairs, but instead of a bookshelves and the enchantment table, it had plenty of wooden poles with a cage on top. I walked to one and noticed it had a tiny spider inside looking at me. I looked back at the group but instead of weird faces I saw panicked ones.
"QUICK, DESTROY THE CAGES!" Sevented yelled from the top of his lungs.
The dwarf pulled out his pickaxe and started to smash some, I didn't noticed the reason behind the desperation until I saw the spider starting to spin unreally fast and the dwarf screaming:
"If we don't destroy this, more monsters will appear!"
I pulled my iron pickaxe and I started to hammer the cage. The dwarf threw more pickaxes at everyone so they could destroy the cages as well. After I shattered mine, I took a brief glance and saw 12 more to be destroyed.
We kept hammering them until suddenly clouds of smoke appeared next to the cages. When the smoke cleared, normal sized zombies, skeletons and spiders appeared. After I saw what happened my face turned to a panicked one as well.
After the soldier, his leader and Sevented took the front and did the fighting; I and the dwarf were destroying the rest of the cages. After a minute and a half we were done, but the soldier was now dead on the floor with a disgusting amount of arrows piercing his corpse, his leader was close to coming to floor and cry from desperation, Sevented was all bloody with his dark grey sword starting to show some cracks, the dwarf was breathing heavily and I was shaking badly.
Sevented moved forward and stepped on the corpse's remains. We followed and I was doing my best to not throw up from the concentrated stench inside the room. We walked up the stairs into the next room.
X-(Thundask's Fall)-X
The next two rooms were fairly normal with mostly medieval furniture and little. The fifth floor was slightly different having several chests and coffins. Sevented whispered some words to be careful and to not open any chests. We explored the room, that one room was very muddy with the exception of tiny section of the floor like if something was removed from there.
Unfortunately, the rest of the room had an iron fence splitting it with an iron door. The dwarf said, sounding like a worker doing his normal job:
"Gonna take ye a while… "
He then started hammering the door, it took a while and we walked around the room. As I was trying to catch my breath I sat on top of a wide chest. As I looked around I felt some movement under me. I moved a bit and suddenly the chest opened with incredible force and I was knocked to the floor. Everyone looked at me and at the golden armored pigman that was leaving the chest.
I was terrified and I quickly stood up and stabbed it with my ruby sword easily going through the armor. Unfortunately, zombies take more than a hit to kill so the pigman removed the sword and latched itself onto me. I tried to keep its mouth away from me, and soon everyone was taking the pig apart. As one pigman died several more armored skeletons, zombies and pigmen rose from the graves and started to attack us. Because of the cheer numbers, armor and speed, that elite posed a real threat and we were having trouble keeping them away.
Sevented was shouting for the dwarf to hurry up destroying the reinforced door. We were having a hard time and we couldn't attack them without getting stabbed by their weapons. After ten seconds, the dwarf broke open the door and ran inside. We quickly came inside the iron bars and closed the door, but because it was damaged it would no longer close. Then the leader's face turned into pure horror when he saw that the coffins on this side contained rising zombies in diamond gear.
The dwarf muttered an obscenity and lit a block of TNT. We ran up the stairs and we were in the top room.
*BOOOM*
The explosion killed some undead and ripped open a hole to room bellow them blocking most of them, but the ones in diamond gear were on our side of the blast and were know climbing the stairs. With only three remaining we finished them off rather easily.
"Diamond gearrrr… Nice!" The dwarf said with a greedy smile.
"Not now! We are almost done." Sevented repeated trying to keep him focused.
Now we could look around calmly. This room was vastly different from the others. The walls were of stone instead of stone bricks like if this room was more recent. The lighting was also different with four windows and a glowstone for torches. By looking in the window the sun was going to set in around 15 minutes.
The center of the room had a coffin, some of the walls contained bookshelves, the right side had a table with books and the floor was full of creepy red paintings. We walked around the room taking care of not stepping on any of the drawings. Our group was now looking down at the coffin and everyone was branding their weapons ready to kill the first minion.
"Open it." He whispered.
We placed our hands on it and pushed it open. After it was wide open, a shape came out making an unbearable scream. I placed my hands on my ears, trying to block that pain inducing yelling. Everyone else did the same and the shape flew off, broke a window and went for the roof.
"QUICK, LET'S GO!" He shouted to get everyone going after the screaming stopped.
Everyone ran for the last set of stairs and soon we were up in the roof. The sun was touching our skin and the air removing any remaining miasma that followed us as soon as we entered the tower. The sky no longer had any black clouds. We looked forward into our foe, it was going to end right there, right now!
X-(Thundask's Fall)-X
Ahead of us was a T shaped mass of faces with two wither skeleton skulls on top. In the air was floating Mob Lord Thundask, looking down on us.
"YOU-O! WH-Y W-ONT YO-U DIE?" It shouted with a messed up voice. "I-F MY MIN-IONS WO-N-T KILL Y-OU THE-N I WI-LL!"
It pulled out a wither skeleton skull and flew to the top of the T structure.
"NO, STOP IT!" The leader screamed.
Everyone ran but we were too late and it placed the skull along the two others. The skulls fused with faces and it turned into an eldritch abomination. It didn't have any legs and had three appendages that resembled ribs, the top had three heads and the whole thing was growing in size glowing black and blue.
"Everyone stay back!" He said like if he knew what he was doing.
The monster then sent a shock wave and blew up his surrounding making a hole in the floor. It flew into the sky and started to shoot smaller heads from its three larger heads.
What the hell is this thing?
Everyone wasted no time and scattered. Sevented was running around trying to dodge the heads. The leader pulled out a bow, the dwarf a musket and both started shooting it, occasionally jumping to the side to avoid a head. Since I didn't really know much and I lacked a bow, I ran around trying to dodge anything it threw at us.
Thundask then flew at one of the pillars and started to build those dark clouds while we were busy with the Wither.
Every time it got above me, I tried jumping but it was still way too high to get hit. Then there was one time where I received with a skull straight in the chest armor while I tried to dodge it. I flew about a two meters high, I hit the edge of a hole with the lower portion of my legs and I fell down it landing on the coffin. I was then stricken by the wither effect and It felt like I was slowly dying or fading away. I tried to fight it as best as I could until it passed, when it did I let the air leave my lungs at muttered a few words.
"Oww… Dammit!"
I looked up and I saw it getting hurt by arrows and bullets, growling in pain. I quickly stood up and I tried to run with probably a broken leg or two. I fell to the ground and I screamed in agony.
Sevented was surprised to see me fall down a hole that big but because he distracted, the Wither launched a row of heads at him and he dodged all but one. He then landed on the same floor as me with the sound of bones snapping.
"No, no. NOT HIM YOU BASTARD!" The leader shouted at the monstrosity.
I looked up and was terrified it came through the big hole and was now ready to finish us off. The leader ran, jumped, landed on the monster and stabbed it with his sword. The Wither screeched and tried to shake him off while he did his best to hold on his weapons while his feet where suffering the painful effects of standing on such unholy being.
The dwarf also got close to the hole and shot it in the middle head. It then flew away and broke through a wall. Sevented stood up and looked at the hole which the monster and his friend went; he could still hear the noises of the fight going on around the tower's blind spots.
When he noticed me on the ground, he came to help. He pulled out a glass bottle with a strange red liquid inside.
"Here, drink this… Quick!"
I didn't take too much time and I quickly drank the potion. The taste wasn't the best but the fact that ten seconds later my legs were now up and running beat it all. I stood up and I looked up at the cloudy sky.
"Creepers! Watch out!" The dwarf warned.
I still remembered the creature that blew up the wall on the siege. So I tried to keep my distance from the ones coming down the stairs and falling down holes.
"N-O, YO-U WON'T TA-KE M-E EA-SELY!" Thundask shouted with its voice box getting worse and worse.
I charged one and sliced its head off, punched another out of a window and stabbed a third in the head while it was making its characteristic sound.
Although I and Sevented managed to slay a few, the rate at of which Thundask threw eggs was too much and some managed to blow up. At a point, the Mob Lord started to send lightning at us as well. As we slayed some more creepers and undead, the Wither came upwards and landed on the same room breaking another wall. Sevented rushed to the Leader that was now on floor coughing blood, he had his legs missing. The monster was also now glowing in a yellowish color and was a bit groggy. After I deflected another arrow with my sword I heard an unsettling noise:
*CRRAAAACK!*
That was the noise you get when the supports for a heavy structure start to give away. I rushed to Sevented and he was staring at a dead corpse.
"The top floor is going to fall! Run to the big hole!"
I though he ignored me for a moment, I got really desperate when the ceiling was starting to move but I calmed down when he answered.
"He was a good man, I hope we can finish his job… let's not waste his life! LET'S GO!" He said in a weird mix of emotions.
As he started walking, the Wither was now coming out of its headaches and was now ready to fill us with heads. Suddenly, an unsuspected blast broke the last support keeping the ceiling in place and we jumped to dodge the falling blocks. The monster was now buried in rubble and we were just alive because of the big hole from the beginning of the fight.
Unfortunately, the dwarf wasn't so lucky and was now digging his way out of the ruble. The four pillars of the top of the tower were now starting to crumble and the pure weight and continued blasts both from the Wither and from the creepers were affecting the structural integrity of the lower floors. The Mob Lord was now shouting hostile gibberish and was obviously pissed off about the weakened Wither and the magic pillars that have just fell down the tower. The damage that was done to the whole tower was never really noticeable before I saw cracks surrounding half the current floor growing bigger, that part of the tower was going to fall as well.
*CRAAACK!*
I looked behind and I saw a glowing monstrosity now out of its stone brick jail, it was looking around for any traps or things that might hurt it, after a second or two, it was ready to take us on.
"Bellow ya, jerkass!" A familiar voice said in funny tone.
A blast succeeded, the Wither was now dizzy again but now the cracks broke the blocks and a huge chunk of the tower was going to slide off to the ground. Me and Sevented watched from a corner as if a giant knife made a clean cut through the tower and left it like a tall triangle. All floors but the first were now exposed to the open air. As the smoke cleared, the Wither was no longer seen and the Mob Lord was floating and screaming angry gibberish.
"Where's our bearded friend?" I asked, as I remembered the moment where the ceiling fell.
"Wow, now that was quite a show, right? The voice said again with joy, I looked down and I saw Fetch waving at us from the now empty grave floor.
"Wait, you're here? Where's Acacia?" Sevented asked with a hint of worry.
"I'm here." She said coming into view next to Fetch with a weak voice.
"YO-U HAV-EN'T KILLE-D M-E YE-T! D-I-E" It raged in fury now preparing some kind of magic between its hands.
"Take cover!" She warned.
It was easy to say to take cover but there wasn't really that much left to protect us from a fireball or anything that explodes, most of the room was now more 30 blocks bellow us and we had just enough to give two steps without falling down to the floor below.
Sevented pulled out his sword and placed it ahead of him in hopes it would protect him.
"Comin' thru!" I heard a voice from far away.
The Mob Lord turned around and saw an incoming steam rocket with an orange beard going straight at it. When the dwarf hit the Mob Lord a big fiery explosion succeeded. From the fireball emerged an undead and a roasted dwarf. The two then landed on the first floor through a tiny creak.
"Let's go! We've got to help him!" Sevented said.
The group rushed and slowly climbed down the several floors of the badly damaged tower. It took a special amount of time since the rooms where quite tall and falling down would mean some bone snapping and most of the time no stairs were around. We just hopped he would still be alive.
X-(Thundask's Fall)-X
Night time…
As we reached the first floor and came down the stairs we saw Thundask standing next to the enchanting table. The lightning in the area was still bad, but I could now see the Mob Lord in more detail. It was a skeleton dressed in black tattered robes; it had a purple crown and a medallion that appeared to have lightning inside it. For a face it had your regular skeleton head with no eyes to be seen.
What scared me the most wasn't the appearance but the fact that the dwarf's body was next to it on the floor.
"YOU DIDN'T…! MOTHERFUCKER!" Fetch shouted in a near murderous rage.
"You shouldn't have come…" It said, with a fixed and much calmer voice.
Fetch charged in blind rage from his friend's death at the Mob Lord. We called him back but he just pulled out his sword and hit Thundask's black staff. Fetch was then encased in a circle and was thrown like a snowball at us, we dodged and when it hit, it broke and a very dizzy Fetch came out.
"HEROBRINE! I FOUND THE CHOSEN ONE YOU WANT! COME TO ME…!" It shouted.
"Shit…! Notch, help us…" Sevented prayed, pulling out his blade.
"Let's see how you can best your friend…" It provoked.
The Mob Lords bony hands glowed purple and the dwarf's body started to move when a purple aura appeared around him. The body stood up, the stomach had a huge bloody wound bit still appeared to not bother at all. The dwarf's face was normal besides its eyes that were black.
"Hello ya friends!" It said grinning in the dwarf's normal voice. "Time to for ye to die!"
The body grabbed the axe on the floor and charged us. It was surprisingly fast for both a zombie and a dwarf and three seconds later it was already trying to tear us apart.
"Quick! Go for the Mob Lord, its controlling the body!" Acacia said while trying to avoid all the blows the corpse was delivering.
Sevented jumped and hit the body from behind in the shoulder slicing through thin iron plate and into the flesh. Unfortunately, the blade got stuck in the bone. The zombie dwarf then turned around and punched Sevented back forcing him to leave his sword.
Can't back away now… They need my help!
I rushed for the Mob Lord branding my ruby sword. The Mob Lord threw a few brown eggs in my direction, spawning many legged creatures that had way too much eyes and hair. One of them lunged at my leg but was stopped by the armor. I stabbed it in the head, piercing it and ending its ordeal. I slashed open another and I received a lightning bolt in the chest setting me on fire, throwing me to a wall and my sword to another.
Fetch was slowly getting his bearings from the magic, Sevented was busy with the zombie, Acacia was now dealing with big spiders and I was trying to figure out a way to take it down.
"Soon, this world will be no more…" It said in its typical villainous talk before being interrupted by a sudden deaf noise.
*PUM*
After it finished its words, large cracks started to appear on the ceiling above it, Thundask looked up surprised like if that wasn't supposed to happen. The cracks soon stopped growing and it resumed its control.
Because it was slightly distracted, Sevented managed to grab hold of his sword again and split up the zombie's arm.
"I didn't need that anyway…" It shrugged off with a smile.
When Fetch came to get his senses, he received another lightning bolt that let him unconscious again.
The battle was going on for around one and half minutes and on Thundask's side. We were slowly getting tired and the zombies, the spiders and the Mob Lord showed no signs of slowing down.
I crawled back to my sword to try and avoid being seen. Once I grabbed hold of it again, my adversary looked at me as well and was preparing another lightning bolt. I jumped to the side and I placed my ruby sword in front of me in hopes it would save me from another heart stopping shock.
Thundask threw another bolt at me but the ruby deflected it and split it into 2, making blasts on the walls, shaking the whole structure.
"You won't die… Little one… Wont' you…?" It muttered.
*Pum*
Another deaf knock was heard from a top floor.
*Pum*
And another…
*Pum* *Pum* *PUM** PUM*
*CREEAAAAK*
*PUUUM*
*CRAASH!*
And when I noticed in front of me part of the ceiling fell off on top of the Mob Lord. We rushed for cover as part of the tower was falling off.
When is it going to end…?
The zombie was now dead on the floor and the spiders ran off. When I looked again at the rubble, I saw a purple creature with an iron helmet on its head.
*Snort*
"MCARROT!" I yelled in happiness.
The pig walked up to me like if it wasn't anything.
"I thought I told you to stay back at the camp."
"What a brave pig… I think I'm not planning on eating it anymore." Fetch commented with a smile, still groggy with the last blow.
Sevented took some deep breaths before looking down at the corpse of his friend. He squeezed the grip of his sword and hesitantly sawed off the dwarf's head.
"It isn't dead yet, we need to finish it off." She said.
The pile of rubble started to float and was thrown around, in the middle of it stood a pissed Thundask with its medallion letting out more sparks than ever.
"Y-OU WON'T ESC-AP-E!"
It started to produce purple beams around blocks of stone brick and throwing them at us; it also started to float 3 blocks high, almost out of reach.
Acacia started to conjure some more fire balls to deflect any incoming projectiles but she was too exhausted to go on for long.
"Rendell… Your sword! Enchant it in that book!"
Great, something else that I needed to learn right there, right now.
"Just point a phrase!" Sevented finished while trying to dodge an incoming piece of broken furniture.
The book is far with the Mob Lord on top of it. What can I do?
After Sevented landed, he grabbed a red potion out of his pocket and threw it at the skeleton.
"GO! NOW!" He screamed in desperation.
When the potion exploded in contact with it, Thundask screamed in agony as the potion appeared to have an acid effect on it. I waited no time and I ran to the enchanting table.
When I reached the table, the book opened automatically for me and I saw a whole load of gibberish.
Please…God… Notch… Anything… Let this work!
I squeezed my sword's grip in my right hand and I pointed at a random phrase on the book. Suddenly, a load of light flowed through the book, me and the sword. When I looked at the blade, it was now on fire. The first instinct was to drop it but as soon as I noticed it didn't really harm me, I stood on top of the enchanting table, I leaped and I slashed the skeleton on the abdomen.
All the blocks fell off and landed safely on the ground. The skeleton was now almost dead on the ground and was trying to get up in vain.
"Terranoia… Why haven't you heard me…?" It muttered.
"You know you didn't deserve it… All for yourself…! Right…?" A shallow male voice was heard, barely audible at all. "All this is too boring if it ends too soon… I also want to have some fun with the chosen one… I just hope Herobrine is nice to you after he figured what you had planned for him."
Everyone looked back at the entrance and noticed a shadow quickly leaving the room. We ran outside and looked up, flying in the night sky was something barely visible a bit similar to a giant bird or bat.
We didn't try to follow it after the ordeal. When came back inside and noticed that the Mob Lord Thundask was now dead with a bloody diamond shuriken on its chest.

Oh boy I'm tired… Sorry readers, I tried delivering this past Friday but was wayyy to much work for just a few days. To make it up for ya, I've got a chaptah around 5000 words long, which is the biggest in all the stories I've ever written(Around 3500) .
I feel rather well about this one, I mean… I could improve the fight a lot more… I forgot a ton of details… I'm still new at this point. Also, in this chapter I introduce the first crossover character. See if you can spot it ;). I think I didn't really review the chapter's mistakes and stuff like that, so PM/Review if you want anything fixed. Also, if you wonder why there are so many nameless characters. Here's the answer: I take an average of 1 to 2 Hours to make up a regular name…
Thank you so much for reading till here and please go on and write some feedback on Arch I. I know… I've added that just now since people start to wonder what is LXIII or something similar. The description was also changed in the moment to reduce the amount of errors and bullshit written. Thank you bukkitthebrony for the alert and the person with the house on fire that keeps changing his/her name for the OC. I might not always comment on this part if there isn't anything really interesting to say. Posted a schedule for more "regular" updates. In the moment I'm also writing another story to post on Fiction Press, I will say when it's out on this part.
I'm just going to take a short nap and by Friday next week, your next update should be out. Thank you and please leave feedback. Cya!
