Hi there! So I finished a new chapter! I actually finished this chapter and a lot of the rest, so I'm making an update deal. :) (It's at the bottom.) If you were wondering, yes, this will be a pretty long story (I'm thinking about 30 chapters), but hopefully I can get back on task soon. I've just been dealing with so much, and I would love to rant about it to you guys, but this is a rant enough. If you're truly interested in my dramatic life (I'm not exaggerating when I say that it's pretty much an episode of Pretty Little Liars: It involves death and mystery and fear of dying), then feel free to PM me. If any of my irl friends are reading this, then they know exactly what I'm talking about. RIP Logan. We all loved you so much.

I really hope you all like this chapter. I'm not sure if I particularly like it, but I need to finish all the fillers before I can get to the actual plot. Trust me, it'll get good. Right now, we're at the very boring part.

Replying to reviews! This is always fun!

Ana: Oh, I love your reviews so much. They make me so happy! You're theory isn't quite correct, though it's close! It's very well thought out. :) I really love it when my readers have their theories! :D Good luck on your exam!

Sofi: Don't worry! No quitting! I would never quit. I would finish this story eventually. The question on if I upload it is different. But people like it, so it's worth it to write more quickly and update it. :)

bluegames: Ummm...I think you were looking at the wrong label... XD You were looking at the "Published" date. Yes, I started this story a year ago. No, I did not last update this story a year ago. I last updated on Halloween! (Wait, what? I did? I just checked to see when and apparently on Halloween? I don't remember that...) So yeah, two months ago. Not a year. :P

DISCLAIMER: I sadly do not own Merlin. :(

It's in your eyes, a color fade out
Looks like a new transition
The starting up and shaking your ground
Turning your head to see a new day calling

"Witchcraft" by Pendulum

Morgana sighed as she sat next to Mithian. She couldn't help but feel bitter towards the sleeping figure - there was no doubt that she still had feelings for Merlin, and vice versa. Why does it have to be so complicated? There were the days Morgana was bad, Merlin was good. Now, it was all mixed up. Bad united with good to defeat evil. She felt like she was in a Romeo and Juliet situation.

The thing she didn't get is why she cared so much. Seeing her brother made her want to scream with joy, and she feels jealous over herself. Or, whoever Morgan was. She buried her head in her hands, rubbing her forehead.

Morgana sat up. Merlin wants to see Mithian safe; it's the least I can do. She lifted her hands to hover over the princess's forehead. She whispered the incantation, and waited for the power to flow through her blood.

It didn't.

Part of her wasn't too surprised. She hadn't used any magic since the incident with Nimueh and Morgause - apart from the teleport, which she was taking the power from Merlin.

Morgana settled for using the wet cloths and bucket instead. She carefully worked on Mithian's wounds. She cleared the blood, then poured the disinfectant. She placed the bandaids and gauzes where needed. She placed a clean, wet cloth onto Mithian's forehead to cool her down. She took a deep breath before a soft noise brought her out of her trance.

"I was being followed." The voice whispered.

"Mithian?" She reached to grasp her shoulders to keep her down. "Are you okay?"

Mithian struggled against her grip. "GET AWAY FROM ME, WITCH!" she screamed.

Morgana held her down. "MERLIN, SHE'S AWAKE!" she hollered.

Merlin entered the room running. He pulled Mithian into his arms and stroked her hair. "It's okay. We're here."

Mithian returned the embrace. "Merlin, I can't believe it's you."

Morgana rolled her eyes. "Come on, we need to get to what happened. Mithian, what happened? What did you mean that someone was following you?"

Mithian ignored her. "Merlin, what is the witch doing here?"

Merlin turned towards Morgana. "Morgana, do you think you can...well...get out? I think Mithian's uncomfortable with you here."

Morgana seethed. "Fine." She got up and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Merlin turned back to Mithian. "She's different now."

Mithian shrugged. "Kind of figured that. Either she changed or you changed, and it's most likely not the latter. It still doesn't change who she used to be."

"Who she used to be doesn't matter. What matters is who she is now, and that we're all together." Merlin grasped her hand.

"I knew she was different the moment I found her in Ireland. Everyone looks peaceful when they sleep, but there was something else for her. Maybe it was the fact that she was dying, but I felt sympathy for her. I don't understand how she's here though. I thought she died."

Merlin froze. "Ireland? Where she was in the coma? You found her?"

Mithian nodded slowy. "It was how I remembered who I was."

"You said she died."

"Yeah. Care to explain?"

Merlin sat back in the couch. "Remember when I told you about how I was immortal?"

Mithian layed against his chest. "Yes. Let me guess, Morgana too?"

"Sorry that I didn't tell you."

Mithian stood up. "No, no, it's fine. Could you direct me towards the lady's room?"

"Mithian, wait." He tried to start after her, but she had already left through the hallway. "Bathroom's that way then to the right," he muttered. There was no one to hear.

Morgana heard the sound of footsteps coming towards her room, then a knock at her door. "Morgana? Can I talk to you?"

Morgana stood up, exasperated, to open the door. Mithi was crying. "Oi, what's the git gone and done now?"

Mithian frowned and wiped her tears away. "Oh, nothing. It doesn't matter. I was just wondering if I could borrow some clothes because...well..." She showed off the messy and ripped clothing she wore.

Morgana stepped back from the door to let her walk in. "Er, sure." She walked over towards her wardrobe and picked out the clothes she thought would suit Mithian the best. "Here."

Mithi grabbed the small stack. She turned around to leave, but stopped and faced Morgana again. "Can I ask you something?"

Morgana shrugged. "I suppose. But you need to do me a favour in return."

"A question for a favour? That hardly seems fair!"

"It's a simple favour that I would have you do anyways."

Mithi rolled her eyes. "So much for being kind to one another."

"Oi! It's not a huge deal, it's just a precaution. Go ahead and ask your question."

Mithian hesitated. "What caused you to switch sides? You used to be with Morgause, now suddenly she's torturing me because she wants some revenge on you or something."

"My sister was the one following you?"

"Her or the other witch. But yeah. Well, they were asking about Merlin, but they had an interest in you as well."

"They were in the reason I was in the hospital." Mithian had stayed silent. "I changed because of Merlin. He showed me that the world wasn't as I thought." She bowed her head down. "We had one of those perfect eras where we were just us. We didn't have to worry about the world, or that we were meant to hate each other; we were just caught up in our dream life." She threw her head back up. "It only lasted about fifteen years. Reality had hit again, and for a while we hated each other."

"What happened?"

"I found him with someone else. I wasn't necessarily surprised. We had our flings before, but there were reasons they never lasted more than a day before we'd go back to war with each other. But seeing him with that woman broke me. That decade and a half taught me to love again, and I was vulnerable. I learned from my mistake."

"I'm sorry."

"What for?"

"That you went through that."

Morgana shrugged. "It made me who I am now. But, Mithi, I don't think I could ever make him break like I did."

Mithian scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Morgana stepped closer. "You know what happened to me. At the hospital. I died. I still don't understand, and I'm guessing you don't either, but Merlin can't find out. He's too sentimental about me. I'm what keeps him grounded here, but I'm afraid what would happen if his anchor didn't exist. So, Mithi, my favour is that I need you not to tell Merlin anything. He can't find out. Ever."

Mithian bit her lip. "So, you did die? Merlin told me it was just your immortality bringing you back to life, but I knew there was something different."

"I died two days ago, right? But you see, there's a problem with that. I've been here for four."

Merlin knew that he should leave Mithian alone, but he couldn't help himself when he heard voices. It seemed so foreign that Mithian and Morgana would get along, and he was curious.

He stood up and walked down the hall cautiously. He slowed down when one of the floorboards creaked. Merlin tiptoed towards the noise - Morgana's room. He knew he shouldn't be eavesdropping, but he was too curious. He pressed his ear against the door, cringing at and quieting the door when it made a slight noise.

Morgana's voice was the one he heard first. "Promise me you won't tell him. He can't know. He'd get ripped apart."

Merlin scrunched his eyebrows together. He mouthed, "Ripped apart?" to himself, trying to make sense of it.

Mithian spoke. "I promise. I wouldn't ever be able to do that to him. I see how he is now, what you're saying would change him forever. And not in the good way."

Morgana muttered something that suspiciously sounded like a "Thank you." Merlin was confused. What were they talking about that was important enough for Morgana to say 'thank you?'

Mithian spoke. "Thank you for the clothes. And the healing. And I'm sorry about...well...you know. I guess I'll see you around."

Merlin quietly ran back to his spot on the couch before Mithi could exit the room. He didn't know what to think about their conversation. Part of him wished that he had started listening earlier, but he figured out what they were talking about.

He would have to confront Morgana.

Mithian entered the room. Her clothes had changed. Merlin looked up and smiled fakely. "The blouse suits you well."

Mithian only frowned, sitting far away from him on the couch. Merlin frowned. "Here, let me heal your wounds." He reached out to grab her arm.

She pulled it away. "Morgana already did."

Merlin grabbed her arm gently. "Not with magic. I wonder why."

"Because she can't."

Merlin nodded slightly. He knew what was going on with Morgana, but he was furious that she never told him. He deserved to know. He didn't understand why it would break him, though. Maybe she thought...Maybe it wasn't...No. He couldn't think like that.

Mithian let him clear her wounds. He whispered incantations and soon enough, all of her cut and bruises faded away. "All better," he whispered, kissing her hand.

Mithian pulled away. "I know what happened between you and Morgana."

Of course she did. Morgana told her the secret, and that was bound to give away their previous relationships. "And?" he replied cooly.

"You broke her heart."

His mouth opened, slightly agape. "She broke mine!"

"Oh, do tell your side of the story! Where she found you with another woman!" Mithian said sarcastically.

Merlin's eyes widened. "Oh, that. First, me and Morgana were supposedly done by that point."

Mithian crossed her arms. "Supposedly?"

"I thought we had broken up, but Morgana told me differently later on."

"So you went to shag another girl?"

"Secondly," he continued, "I was incredibly drunk. I didn't really know what was going on."

Mithi rolled her eyes.

"Last, the woman came onto me. Not vice versa."

"So, let me get this straight: You remember that she came onto you, but you don't remember anything?"

"That's not what I-"

"Forget it, Merlin. How many girls were you seeing apart from me in Camelot?"

"None! I swear! Are you seriously choosing to believe Morgana over me?"

Mithian smiled half heartedly. "Girls don't lie about those things."

Merlin gritted his teeth. All Morgana does is lie. He walked over towards her room. He didn't bother knocking before entering.

He stopped when he heard soft sobbing. He approached the bed cautiously, the light, "Go away, Merlin," did not stop him.

"Hey, 'Gana. What is it?" He layed behind her on the bed. Propping himself up on one shoulder, he stroke her hair. "Does this have to do with what you told Mithian about us?"

"Not really."

Merlin held her shoulder and turned her to face him. "You can tell me."

"No, I can't."

"What's so bad you can't tell me?"

Morgana turned onto her back and stared at the ceiling. "Lots of things."

Merlin sat up. "Morgana, I've been piecing all of the clues together, and I think I know what's been going on."

Morgana looked at him, her face in a mix of anger and confusion. "You do? Please share!"

Merlin sighed. "It's actually pretty obvious. You told Mithi, and that's why she's not talking to me. You've been incredibly emotional lately. Crying and laughing at the smallest things. You're much nicer to me than before. But, Morgana, drinking tons of alcohol isn't good."

"What?"

"Morgana, why didn't you tell me you're pregnant?"
