"You died," spoke the man who had been silent up to this point.
Katara looked at him with confusion, "What?"
"In the mortal world, your body had died and now your spirit has arrived here," explained the man in the dolphin throne.
"No you're wrong. I was running in the words, unharmed and undead," stuttered Katara. Her mind was whirling around and making her head hurt. The last thing Katara remembered was running in the woods. Then she appeared here, they were the cause of this.
"Think hard, you will remember," spoke the man. Katara shook her head and took a step back. No, no, no, she was not dead. She was alive and well, not dead. A pain shot through Katara's body and brought her to her knees. She clutched her head as the pain speared her mind.
Flashes of destruction and death filled her eyes. A blood red moon hung in the sky and was surrounded by a black sky. Tall black smoke towers lined the sky for miles around. Bodies laid motionlessness on the ground, their blood drained from their bodies. Blood of the people who had been killed, was being poured down her own body.
Just as fast as the pain came, it disappeared. Katara knew what she had to do and where she belonged.

Now:
It was quite. There was no noise around her or that she could pick up. Her eyes felt glued shut. They weighed as if there were a load of stones on her eyes. She slowly lifted them open to only have them fluttered shut again. The light was faint, that meant that it had to be dark in the room. She tried again and failed again. Katara tried for a third time and slowly her eyes began to focus and take in her surroundings.
She had been right; it was dark in the room. A heavy dark cloth hung in the doorway to keep the light and noise out; it was doing a good job. The room was empty. Nothing there besides the make shift bed Katara laid on and the boy next to her.
Zuko looked terrible, Katara thought. His skin was paler than normal, his eyes held deep purple bags under them, and his hair was wild. She couldn't believe that Zuko was the one next to her. Katara would have thought that Jin or Nick would've been here, but not Zuko…unless…unless he knew that they might be mates. Katara knew without a doubt that Nick didn't tell a soul the name that she uttered off her lips but he probably would have told Jin that they had a talk about mates.
Great…now Jin would be furious with her because Katara hadn't come to her. One more thing she needed to worry about…but there were more pressing matters at hand now and Jin could wait.
"Katara…" whispered Zuko. Katara had drifted off in her mind only to miss Zuko's golden eyes on her. Zuko made a move to get closer but thought against it, knowing that Katara's body was weak already. The last thing he wanted to do was to hurt her. She looked so fragile as it was.
"You need blood," stated Zuko. His voice was tired and strained. Katara could swear she also heard anger somewhere deep in his voice.
"I'm fine," voiced Katara. She tried to sit up only to have her body protest and pain shoot to every part in her body. A scream bubbled up in her throat, but it did not pass through her lips. She fell against the bed with her face contorted in pain.
"No you are not, Katara. Please take my blood it will help you heal faster," begged Zuko. He eyes looked exhausted with a hint of panic in them. Katara realized if she look like what she felt like, then now wonder Zuko was trying shove blood down her. She finally nodded her in head in agreement.
Zuko lifted his wrist towards her mouth and made a cut with his fingernail. Blood began to seep out of the cut and into her mouth. Katara close her lips around the cut and started to drink the blood. Pull after pull, Katara could feel strength flow back into her. Her teeth sank into his pale skin, breaking it causing more blood to enter her blood. Katara's eyes turned gold and hunger soon started to take over.
"That is enough Katara," said Zuko as he felt too much blood being taken. But Katara kept drawing more and more blood. Zuko barred his fangs at her and hissed, "Stop!" He put a hand on her chest and shoved her back hard and pulled his arm away at the same time. Once Katara no longer had his wrist between her lips, she began to hiss and growl at Zuko fro denying her blood. But once she looked into eyes and took in his scent, she grew quiet. Zuko saw the animal side coming out as it recognized its mate.
The need to mark his mate began to overtake his rational thoughts. His inner beast saw her animal and they both were recognizing each other as mates. Katara was the first one to strike, and strike she did. She sank her fangs into the right of side of his neck and pressed them deep. She wanted to leave her mark on him to show everyone that he was her mate. Zuko dug his hands into the blankets around her body when she bit him. He had no doubt that she was marking him and for some reason, Zuko didn't want to stop her.
Katara tore her mouth away from his neck and looked up to mate's face. His golden eyes were shining brightly from the blood scent air. There was no rational part of her left at the moment; the only thing the animal wanted was her mate. She turned her head and offered her neck to her mate, waiting for him to mark her as well. Zuko ground his teeth together in an effort to not lose control. He wanted to make sure that Katara wanted this as well as the animal. Once he marked her, there would be no turning back for either one of them. Zuko grabbed her chin with a hand and turned it towards him again.
"Are you sure?" is all Zuko could say in a deep growling voice to Katara. He was looking for anything, any sign from the rational side of Katara to show through. Zuko wanted to know that she wanted this as much as he wanted it. Her eyes were full or hunger and desire swirling together. Without another second to think, Zuko snapped her head to the side and tore into the side of her neck. The instant that her blood filled his mouth, rational thoughts left him and his beast came roaring out. He could feel her hands tug him closer to her and a leg wrapped around his hip. He plunged his fangs deeper wanting his mark to be seen by everyone and they would know who she belonged to.
Taking his fangs out and looking down at his mate, he was pleased to see his mark against her neck. The smell of their blood mixing together in the air and seeing her baring his mark as too much to take for Zuko. He leaned down and claimed her mouth with his. The kiss was a clash of teeth and tongue in a battle of dominance between the two mates. Neither mate was willing to back down and submit.
It wasn't until they both heard a noise did they pull away from each other. Their eyes slowly started to change back to normal and their breathing slowed down. Both could see their animal sides fading away and their rational sides coming back. Zuko was the first to respond by stroking Katara's cheek with his free hand. She smiled at his touch and said, "Thank you."
"For?" asked Zuko.
"Saving my life, bringing me back from the dead, giving me a choice, and accepting me as a mate," responded Katara in a soft voice. Zuko gave a small smirk before chuckling. "That is quite a list there," he joked back.
A comfortable silence fell between the two mates. Both were thinking about what happen and the future now that they are mates. "This changes everything now," spoke Katara, breaking the silence. Zuko only nodded his head while still stroking her cheek, "Yes it does. But we will have each other and we can face anything together."
"Just ending a war between vampires and lycans that was lasted for generations. No pressure there," joked Zuko with softness in his eyes. Yes, they had a long and hard journal ahead of them, but he knew that they could do it.
"I have had visions of what the future will be if we fail to end this war, Zuko. I know what we need to do to save us and everybody," spoke Katara. Yes her visions scared her to death, but with Zuko by her side, she knew she could work to help stop them from happening.

When the vampire king and the lycan with unique blood stand together, nothing will be able to stop them. They shall rule over the clans and packs of the world as one united force. Peace and prosperity will cover the all the lands across the world. The bloodline of vampire and lycan will join together and be passed down for thousands of generations. Time will pass and move forward as societies grow and rise from the ground. Buildings made out a metal and glass will line the skyline, metal boxes will replace horses and travel hundreds of miles, science and technology will lead to get discoveries that will ever shape ourkind.
Wars will still be fought across lands, however it will be due to difference in values, ideals, and opinions; not based on the species you belong to. Vampires and lycans will mate with each other and a new breed of hybrids will enter the world. The blood of any of ourkind will be mixed in heritage and strengthen the bonds of our society together. Without the vampire king and lycan with unique blood being able to look beyond their differences, we would not be living in our world today. Blood and war would have consumed the earth and our way of life would have ceased to exist. This is the prophecy and history that all children are told when they enter the world.
"Lilith! We are leaving now, come on," spoke a gentle female voice. A young girl looked up to her mother with golden eyes shining bright in the room. Her mother's black hair was pulled up into a ponytail and her blue eyes stood out against her pale skin. "Is it true, mother?" asked the girl.
The mother's high-heeled shoes squeaked when she knelt down to her daughter and asked, "What is true?" The daughter pointed to the tapestry that hung in the glass case. The mother only smiled and nodded her head at the child. Her dark skin and golden eyes held curiosity. A pink headband that matched her pink princess dress pulled her deep brown hair together.
"Of course it is. This tapestry was made thousands of years ago when we came out of dark ages into the light," the mother explained to her daughter. The daughter looked back to the old tapestry and back to her mother. "Will I grow up to be like Katara?" she asked with a face full of hope.
"Well we are descents of her, Lilith. You can do whatever you put your heart to," the mother replied to her. Soon they were holding hands and walking out of National Museum together into the bright sun and bustling city of New York. The mother looked back to the building and thought to herself, 'I wonder if this is what Katara and Zuko pictured that future would be all those years ago'

Note: I understand that is has been quite a long time since I was updated any of my stories; especially this one. Due to the changes in my life since my boyfriend's brothers death, I haven't found the ability to continue and finish these stories with the amount of time and respect they deserve. I have decided to go through and add one or two more chapters to finish each story. It is not how I want to finish and the depth of the stories I wanted, but I have no muse left and life requires attention outside writing these stories. My 3 stories came from that time in my life, and I am no longer at the stage in life anymore.
Thank you for the unbelievably faithful people that still message me. I don't know how you guy out up with like a 3 year absence (I wouldn't have), but thank you.
If you are interested in maybe taking over the story from this chapter (before the ending in the future), let me know. I don't have the right head space to create chapters that this story deserves anymore.
