Eleven: Land Ho!
Meanwhile on the U.S.S. Stumpy, the group was fighting off a barrage of Creepers.
"Where did they come from?" Ash asked as he ran to Squid.
"The Creepers?" Squid asked as he pushed a Creeper off the side of the boat.
"No. The cheese," Ash said sarcastically. "Yes, the Creepers!"
"I dunno," Squid replied. "But I'm almost sure that the guy who flooded Galaxy City has got somthin' to do with it."
Ash nodded as he sliced a Creeper in half. "Seems like that kinda guy."
The Creepers were covering the entire already doomed ship.
"Even though we have no idea wh-" Squid was cut off by a violent thud that shook the boat.
Squid struggled to get up. "Lee what was that?"
Lee began writing down a sign.
Squid turned to look at Ash. "Ash what was that?"
Lee tried to sigh.
"I'll go check." Ash said before running to the front of the boat. "Land ho!" he shouted before slicing a few Creepers. "Abandon ship!"
Ash jumped off the ship and face planted into the sand. Squid called for the others – Galaxy City citizens too – to follow him. He did the same as Ash, and jumped down with a slippery 'SPLAT!'
"Who's next?" a sand covered Ash asked.
About ten-thousand Galaxy City citizens jumped down on top of Ash and trampled him. Unharmed, he got back up and followed Squid who was following Lee who was following everyone else. The Creepers were right on their tail/tentacle/cheese/anything else besides wombat's heads if that makes any sense.
They ran across the desert terrain and tried some evasive maneuvers, but nothing worked. The Creepers just blew up any obstacle in their path.
"Guys wait up!" Ash said as he was trailing behind.
Squid sighed, pulled out his bow, and began pelting the Creepers to let Ash past before running into a forest after the others.
After another half hour of running, they finally were able to hide in a cave. Ash nearly fainted when the Creepers past them. Okay that's a lie, he did faint.
At least they were safe.
The group had finished their supper and was getting ready for bed, when Squid's phone rang.
"Hello?" he said pressing talk.
"You're friend is alive," the sinister voice at the other line began. "But he won't be for long."
"I know who you are." Squid said putting two and two and two and two and two and two and two and two together.
"I am calling," the voice said ignoring Squid. "To tell you what you are."
Squid was confused. "What do you mean?" he asked.
The voice laughed slightly. "The bait."
An explosion in the cave came right after that last sentence and knocked out everyone.
