Chapter eleven

Tsuna waited for Haru on the roof of the building. She had sent him a text for him to be there before the school hours started. He had to make sure that Hibari wouldn't spot him up there because the older boy had found the school in bits last night and he was not happy in any way. He had grabbed Tsuna by the collar of his neck and told him it had to be cleaned by the morning.

Tsuna wasn't in the slightest bit surprised that the school had no bullet holes whatsoever it in by the morning. He had gotten over it now. As messy as the mafia were, they could clean up a crime scene in a few heartbeats, hence why they were never caught by the police.

Tsuna stood by the railings, the same ones where Yamamoto had tried to kill himself almost a week before Haru's arrival to the school. He heard the door open up behind him and he knew that it was Haru, not Hibari. Mostly because Hibari would slam the door open, not open it gently.

"Tsuna-san."

He didn't look at her as his hair blew in the wind. She stood next to him, on his left side as he looked at the right. Haru sighed, knowing that Tsuna was hurt because she was doing something behind his back and that she felt like she didn't trust him.

"Tsuna-san, Haru is sorry. She just didn't want Tsuna-san worrying about whatever it is going on with Haru even though he has other things to care about. Haru's issues are just small and Tsuna-san has so much on his plate, Haru didn't want to burden him..."

She trailed off when Tsuna turned his head slowly to face her. She thought his expression would be annoyed so she closed her eyes tightly. She missed Tsuna's amused expression as he waited for her to open her eyes. She didn't and he chuckled.

"Haru, open your eyes."

"No, Tsuna-san might look scary."

"I don't, I promise you."

She sighed and slowly opened her eyes. She saw Tsuna looking at her with a smile on his face and she let out another sigh, showing how relieved she was. She smiled at him slightly. She looked back out over the school, looking at the students who were arriving early, much like them.

"You gonna tell me what this is all about then?"

Haru looked at her hand and held out her left hand, showing him the ring. "Haru found this ring. She picked it up after it dropped from Squalo's pocket when he was fighting with Mukuro. Haru doesn't know why she put it on and stuff, but she did and then somehow, Haru managed to set off some flame, but it wasn't a normal flame! This flame was black and Haru was scared. Haru didn't know how to 'turn off' the flame and...Basically Haru has a black flame when none of you have."

Tsuna stared at her in surprise as the ring went up in black flames as she was stressing out. Tsuna watched her as she went rambling on about how she didn't want to be a burden and all that stuff, so he held her hand. His hand was ringless, but it was like Haru could feel his sky flames, calming her down.

They stared at their hands in surprise, not really sure of what to say. If Tsuna knew any better (which he did) Reborn might have an explanation for it, but at the same time, this isn't information that he should be leaving out, so there's a possibility that he wouldn't know anything about it, which confused Tsuna further.

"Haru, ever since Reborn came into my life, nothing has been the same. For a while, I thought it was for the worst, but I'm beginning to see its perks."

She blushed when he said that, obviously meaning their relationship. The look in his eyes was deep and meaningful and she held that gaze. "This doesn't weird me out or add more of a burden to me. Don't try and deal with this sort of stuff by yourself, okay? We can get through it together. The fact that I've been going through this a little longer than you means that I can help you out. What if the flames popped out of nowhere and we didn't know each other?"

Haru couldn't help herself as she launched herself into his arms. "Aww, Tsuna-san! That makes Haru feel so much more better! Haru won't leave Tsuna-san in the dark about anything anymore."

"Good, now I think we should head to class before the bell goes and Hibari finds us." Her flames went out instantly as she stared at it in surprise.

"And you didn't think that this was something worth telling me? Haru, as much as I hate the idea of becoming the Decimo, I know I'm going to have to if I want to change something. You know me, always been seen as the dame. Well not anymore. Maybe the mafia is really where I belong, and if I can change it somehow, I've done my duty. I'm accepting it. As a boss, I have to make sure that everyone in my famiglia is okay, as much as I don't want certain people joining it."

He grasped her hand tightly and gave her a soft smile to show her that everything was okay. It made her blush and she shyly smiled back. He was going to do really well as boss and she wanted to be by his side when he changed the mafia world for the better. She hugged him when the feeling became overwhelming as she tried to stop herself from crying. She really loved him, even if it had only been a few days.

"Hey! No crying! Let's just tell Reborn as soon as we get back to my place. Actually, I'm sure that he's around in the area right now, but has better things to do or something. He's always hiding about the place."

Haru nodded her head as they started making their way down the stairs and into the main building. The bell then rang, so they tried to hurry and make sure that they weren't bitten to death as well as being late to class. It didn't matter, Hibari walked right across them. They both stopped breathing and slowly, Hibari turned his head to find himself looking at an omnivore and herbivore.

"Omnivore..."

Then he started walking towards his 'office'. The couple then released their breath and smiled at each other.

"Haru was so sure he was about to kill us!"

"Same here! I think it's because he's secretly impressed with the way the school is in even better shape than before. He probably thought that it wouldn't get it sorted out. He would have wanted me to fight him for sure. Maybe Reborn, I think he promised him a fight, it's the only way to get him on your side."

Haru giggled as they walked into the classroom. Nagi looked over at her as she went to go and sit down and she sent her a smile, telling her friend that she told Tsuna about the flame. Nagi gave her a relieved look as they started listening to what they were being told.

~x~

"Haru."

The said girl turned back to face the woman who had taught her a good majority of her skills. She grinned at Bianchi and came closer to where she was sitting which was on the park bench. She tilted her head as she wondered what the older girl was doing, sitting there. She was clearly here, waiting for her.

"Bianchi-san, how are you?"

"Me? I'm great thank you. This isn't about me though, this is about you. Reborn told me about your new flame."

Haru nodded her head, sitting down. It was obvious that Reborn would find out. He was probably hiding around somewhere when she told Tsuna of her little problem. She just didn't know what that would now mean. Would she have to stay hidden? Would she be targeted if the mafia world heard about the flame?

"Because of this new flame, we're going to have to train you to more of a higher level than where I left you. That means you will be training with the failed acrobaleno as well as the acrobaleno boss, Aria. She will be the one to tell us of this flame, hopefully and Lal, the arcobaleno that I just mentioned is a top notch trainer. She trained Colonnello."

Haru flinched a little bit when she realised that she will be training with a tyrant. She didn't really know how to take that news. She was pretty sure that it threw her off her wanting to train though. She just sighed and nodded her head. So that meant that even Reborn didn't know what the flames was. She was still in the dark.

"Want to train now?"

"With Bianchi-san? Haru would like that, but wouldn't it be bad to do it in the park?"

Bianchi pointed around and there was no one there. It was understandable, it was coming up to winter afterall.

It had been a while now since she trained with the woman and she had a silly smile on her face when she thought about it. It was fun, just training. She tried to push the thought of training to kill out of her mind because she didn't want to think of it in that way. If Tsuna was going to change the mafia world, she would stand by him and do just that, with little to no killing.

Also, the training took her mind off of the fact that little Lambo was in hospital. She felt like she was in her own element, dodging, ducking and weaving by all the poisonous foods that were being thrown at her. Her sight went from colour, back to black and white, predicting the path that the food would come flying from. She had learnt how to control it well, even knowing when to send a chill down Bianchi's back and disarm her.

After almost an hour of doing of the training, Bianchi had run out of food. Haru was panting less than she used to when she first started training with Bianchi and she grinned, pleased with herself. Even Bianchi was proud of the person that she had taught.

"You're going to do very well with Lal, I think she will secretly love you. That woman is a hard nut who tried not to show any emotion, so if you catch her being soft, always make fun of her, okay?"

Haru laughed and nodded. Then she stopped and frowned. Bianchi noticed it and questioned her. "Is there something wrong?"

"It's the next guardian's fight today."

"Ah yes, Yamamoto I believe, the rain guardian. I hate Varia so much, how they think that they can waltz into Japan and try to take the position from the rightful heir, as well as my brother. They make my blood boil and my skin itch."

She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists when she thought about the assassin group of Vongola. Haru didn't even know what to say to try and make the older girl feel better.

"Bianchi-san shouldn't worry so much, Tsuna-san and the others are going to get through this and they'll win! Just you watch! Tsuna-san knows he can't lose and even though he's already lost his ring, he will still come out on top, as will the rest. They will win, trust Haru on this one."

She gave Bianchi an innocent smile and it made Bianchi stare at her before chuckling, making Haru wonder what she had said that was so funny. "You're so innocent Haru. Both you and Tsuna are so innocent, and honestly, I think that's what the mafia world needs, an innocent couple making them all look stupid."

Haru blushed. As much as she said it, it was so early in their relationship to think of marriage and that her and Tsuna would make a future together. It was every girl's dream and to think that everyone around them could already see it happening, shows that she was glad she moved to this school. She didn't even care if she had to be dragged into this world just to be next to Tsuna. She saw this as her own calling.

"Well Haru needs to get going, she's tutoring Tsuna tonight."

Haru picked up her school bag as the older girl nodded her head. Bianchi needed to buy more ingredients for her cooking anyway. They both parted ways and soon enough, Haru was jumped at the gates to the park. Well it was a failed attempt to get jumped.

"Haru Miura."

Haru had sensed the girl in the bushes and had dodged her attack. She scoffed when she realised how slowly she moved.

"Haru doesn't think that it's fair that you know Haru, but Haru doesn't know you."

The red haired girl sneered at her in disgust. "You think you're so high and mighty, don't you? You're nothing but a weak little civilian, so stay away from my Mukuro!"

Haru flinched at her shrill voice and rolled her eyes. She felt like she was in Batman with Mukuro as the Joker and this girl here was Harley Quinn. She had a sick love for a sick man.

"Okay, have him then. Haru already has a boyfriend anyway."

That seemed to surprise the girl before she came back full force. The anger burned in her eyes and Haru could tell straightaway that this was girl was so damn stubborn and that she needed to find a way to get away from her some time soon.

"You expect me to believe that, you bitch?! I know you're lying to me to get me to leave!"

Oh Kami, YES Haru wanted her to leave, but she wasn't lying dammit! This girl was seriously twisted. Where was she even getting her sources from, that she like MUKURO above all human beings?! She would rather be willing to join Varia than to every try and even be friends with that boy!

"Haru couldn't care less about Mukuro, Haru already has Tsuna-san!" She was really grating on her nerves that she had to raise her voice and hope that that would reach this dumb girl's ears. It did, but a smirk arose on her lips. Haru was on high alert for any insult that she would end up throwing her way for liking Tsuna and she was ready to lash out at any harmful thing that she had to say.

"Oh, you mean the Vongola Decimo candidate? Hah, Mukuro is going to take over his body eventually and rip everyone apart in the mafia world, including you. In fact, he might save you for last, just to be killed by your own beloved. But then again, I'm not sure what Mukuro-kun would want to do. He might just kill you first to make Tsuna suffer."

She started laughing crazily before she stopped abruptly and a chill that threatened to leave her paralysed snuck up behind her. She had trained against Mukuro to know when there were illusions, but this was real. She watched at Haru's eye colour got a little bit lighter, yet there was a tinge of darkness behind it. She noticed a ring on her finger spark up in black flames and she felt her throat constricting as well as her heart beat picking up the pace, almost as though it was going to fall out of her chest. This is what true fear felt like.

"Threaten Haru all you want, but Haru will not allow for you to threaten all of her loved ones around her. Tsuna-san will never let the likes of Mukuro take over his body to kill anyone! The mafia world will change, but not by Mukuro's sick and twisted way. No, Tsuna-san is going to bring the light to the mafia world."

The flame disappeared and her eye colour returned back to normal as quickly as they had changed, yet the girl was still paralysed. She couldn't even talk. Haru sighed as though she had been forced unwillingly to do what she just did. She was surprised that she was even able to hold her in such a way. Her training had paid off, but now it was a matter of keeping it under control.

"Haru is sorry for paralysing M.M. it's just that you got her so mad! Haru doesn't know how long you'll be stuck there, so bye!"

Haru skipped on her way. Although she felt bad, there was nothing she could do about paralysing someone. It was until the fear had drained away from then, then they'll be able to move. It was all up to M.M now. Plus, she had to go and tutor Tsuna.

M.M. herself was letting her mind race. Her heart was pounding at a million miles per hour, wondering what the hell had just happened. It wasn't an illusion, it was very much real. Another thing that was bothering her was that Haru ended up saying her name even though she hadn't given it to her. The black flame on her finger looked like she was ready to plunge into her deepest and darkest secrets to kill her from the inside out. Her next question was simple.

Not who, but rather, what is Haru Miura?

Mukuro watched as the two girls were sleeping from his place on a tree branch that he was stood on. One of them was his sister and the other was a girl that he had found extremely interesting. She had caught his attention like no other and he planned on finding out more about her.

His interest in the girl was merely one of her becoming his new plaything, especially seeing as she had now become the Decimo's girl, he wanted to mess around with the two of them. Eventually, he would probably end up killing her in front of Tsuna, or better yet, making her his girl.

Then M.M had come back to the abandoned theme park all late, cold and shaking. In all honesty, he didn't care much for the girl at all, but he was curious as to what what had gotten her in that state. She should be immune to things that scare her because his illusions were probably the best in the mafia world due to his ability to use the paths of hell.

It was around two hours before she managed to speak and it had only been one word, but it had been more than enough for the three guys to know why she was shaken up.

"Haru."

Ken had burst out laughing, not believing for a second that the Decimo's girl could have gone and done such a thing to her, but when M.M. had screamed at the mention of Haru's name, they knew immediately that this was a serious matter.

Mukuro was now thoroughly intrigued about what he could learn about Haru and how strong she was. She was just like Tsuna and he could see why they were perfect together. They were innocent souls with the power to kill anyone if they well and truly tried. It was almost like the hope he had for humanity was coming back to him. He hated the mafia with ultimate passion, but if the two of them could change it, he would be loyal and stand by them.

His eyes shifted from Haru to his sister and his eyes softened and his facial expressions relaxed. He had built up tough walls around himself ever since the incident. Everything that he did, he did for her. He had to push her away because he knew that if people found out that he actually loved his sister, she would become a target. She was shy and he was the big brother who always kept her safe, but with his enemies, he couldn't always promise that she would be safe.

So instead, he treats her like the dirt under his shoe. It didn't help that their parents were as useless too. They didn't deserve to have kids because of how incompetent they are, but they did. Mukuro didn't fear for his parents ever getting kidnapped because they deserved it if they ever did. To think that even let such a thing happen to them in the first place just showed how much they needed to die.

"Don't you think it's a bit creepy, watching girls sleep? I should bite you to death for being such a pervert."

Mukuro had almost jumped at the voice, but he held himself together and turned to look at his supposed arch nemesis. His usual smirk came into play as he leaned against the tree that was currently standing on. He had been so engrossed with his thoughts on either girl, that he hadn't even noticed when Hibari was standing on a branch adjacent to his.

"I would like to see you try, Kyoya. You know very well our fighting will disturb the peace of your precious Namimori."

He saw Hibari's hand fall for his tonfa, but he managed to hold back, which was probably a first. Mukuro raised an eyebrow. It was clear that they weren't going to fight and Hibari was here to talk to him about something more. He might as well listen up to what he would have to say to him then, because Hibari hated talking almost with a burning passion.

"Well, if you go after the little omnivore's girlfriend, then I will leave that for him to decide whether he will bite you or not. That will be a fight I would enjoy watching."

It was one of Hibari's rare moments where he let out a deranged smirk that even Mukuro hated. The smirk was suddenly gone and it was replaced with a blank look. It was as though it was a side he was trying to hide, even though Mukuro didn't know why. It was probably because Hibari wasn't easily excited.

"But if it's Nagi you want to hurt, I will bite you to death."

Mukuro had always known of Hibari's little soft spot for his sister and it always made him cringe. As much as he wanted to keep his sister away from him, he knew that he had no right. He had to play the part of the evil older brother, not the protective type. If only he didn't have to be evil to his sister, he would have told Hibari to back the fuck off a long time ago.

"You know that everything I do, I'm doing it to keep her safe."

"Stupid excuse, you're strong, she's strong, next."

Mukuro hated it when Hibari pointed out the flaws of his plan. It was sort of true. After all, his sister was stronger than the other three of his friends put together, yet he chose to hang out with them more than his sister. It was probably because they weren't a family. If they got killed, he wouldn't care as much as if Nagi got killed.

Mukuro just gritted his teeth at the boy. This was going to turn into an argument that he wouldn't be able to win, which in turn would turn into a huge fight and there would be no one to stop the two of them, unless Reborn ended up flying out of nowhere, which he most probably would.

"Fuck off Hibari."

"Only because you know it's true. Now, leave them alone."

With that, Hibari turned his back on him, but he stopped when he was called back.

"Are you going to join the little omnivore in their little spat that they have every night?"

And there was that deranged grin that said everything. Of course he was going to, that was a stupid question. Hibari was after a good fight and most probably out for a bit of blood too. There was no way that he was going to pass of the opportunity to fight some crazy strong guys who actually wanted to fight him as well. Having only Mukuro to fight was getting boring as well.

"I've told the omnivore to alert me when it's my turn."

Mukuro rolled his eyes. Of course he did. Of course though, he already knew that there was an acrobaleno as the mist guardian and he would love to see how strong he is against him. Well, maybe he would sit this one out and let his sister take over and he can see how much she has grown as well.

"You guys are so loud, shut up and leave, both of you."

The two boys looked up to see a sleepy Hard with her window open and the most frustrated look on her face. She was pissed off that she could hear their little chatter from outside her window and now it was time for her to get rid of the pests.

"Leave. Now."

She shut her window, but not without purposely sending a little shiver down the back of their spines. They were on high alert after that as they stood there in silence before it was Hibari who broke that silence.

"Did you feel that?"

"I did. Now I understand why M.M. came back shaking. Haru is...strong."

Knowing that, they decided to leave from Haru's house. Before they parted directions, Mukuro called Hibari again which made the other sigh in slight anger from being constantly called. He just wanted to leave, not be called back every five seconds.

"What?"

There was a ring of irritation in his tone of voice and it didn't slide by Mukuro, only the mist guardian didn't care about whether or not Hibari liked being called back. He only had one request from Hibari and he had to see what the cloud guardian would say about it.

"Look after Nagi for me."

Hibari snorted before disappearing, most probably to the school to go and watch the fight that had ensued there tonight. To anyone else, it may have looked like Hibari was snorting at such a stupid request because he would never do what he asked, but Mukuro knew otherwise. Hibari was snorting at him because he was already doing just that a stand he didn't need to be told that.

Mukuro gave one last glance up at Haru's window before jumping out of the tree and into one of his illusions to take him back home.

So how was that chapter? Did you enjoy reading that? As you can see, I have made a little Hibari x Chrome in there teehee. Oh, and Mukuro actually seems nice? Who knows, who knows lol. Before we all get the wrong end of the stick, Haru wasn't going to kill M.M. she was just extremely passionate about paralyzing her to scare her because she threatened her friends.

Why am I making that Haru point clear? Because in one of my Fairy Tail stories, I made someone knock someone else out really brutally and they thought I made them kill them...Like wtf. I got like a load of shit from GUEST reviewers because of that. It was really annoying. I apologize if anywhere in the story you see the name Juvia instead of Haru. I write a lot of Fairy Tail fanfics and they both speak in the third person, so it's easy for me to put Juvia's name by mistake!

Please don't forget to rate or hate, flames or floods! Thanks for taking the time to read this chapter!
