Hey my faithful readers/followers. Once again, I beg your forgiveness. School and the holidays have been somewhat hard on my time for writing. But, that doesn't mean that I've stopped writing or any; let's just say that I took a little break. I can't believe that I had to re-read my own story just to be able to remember the story. Well, that won't be happening anytime soon because here's Chapter 11!

Edmund had just started to open his eyes, but he gasped at the instant pain that he felt. It appeared that the hag's potion was working, just as she had hoped. Edmund proceeded to check himself, but he almost gagged at the sight of his chest. There were multiple black lines branching out from his heart. Just then, he heard a cruel laughter coming from the door of the cell.

"You see what I mean Traitor King. This is your last day!" the hag cackled.

"Stop it! I don't believe you, I still have faith in my siblings, and we've never let each other down!" Edmund tried to shout through gritted teeth.

"You can say what you want Traitor King, that doesn't stop the signs of death that you're showing."

"What signs are you talking about?"

"Oh it's all in your eyes Traitor King. They're darker, more depressed. It's clear that you've almost completely lost the will to live!" The hag declared.

Just as it seemed that the horrible reality had sunk in, Edmund and the hag both heard the sound of Narnia's war cry! It had to have been Peter and his siblings! Edmund knew that they would never let him down. And with this revelation, Edmund turned to the hag.

"Who's afraid now?" Edmund said with one of his best glares.

The ambush had worked just as Peter had hoped. The White Witch's followers had never even known what was coming to them. They had already been decreased in their numbers since the last battle at the Stone Table. However, the hardest part was going to be getting to Edmund. But, Peter wasn't about to let the hag escape this time.

"Peter! Take your sisters while we hold off the rest of the army." One of the centaurs shouted.

"Susan, Lucy come on. We're going after Edmund!" Peter cried as Susan and Lucy proceeded to follow him.

The hag had begun to unlock Edmund's chains and pull him along with her, but Edmund was trying his hardest to fight against her. Even though the hag wasn't that strong, Edmund was having troubles because he had been weakened by the dark potion. Just then, there was a sound that grabbed both the hag's and Edmund's attention.

"Edmund!" Lucy had screamed as she saw his condition. Edmund had always been very thin, but he looked almost so thin that it was scary. The black lines that were branching from his chest also made Lucy want to gag.

"Let him go you horrible beast!" Susan screamed.

"Not so fast daughters of Eve!" The hag shouted as she held a knife to the same spot that Edmund had been stabbed by the Witch's wand.

"No! Don't listen to her, just kill her!" Edmund said, but he was quickly silenced by the hag. Yet, fear was still evident in Edmund's eyes.

Suddenly, Peter burst into the room and killed the hag with his sword. But, as Peter got up from the ground, he yelled in shock at the sight of his baby brother. Edmund looked at him for a brief second, but collapsed from the knife that had just reopened his scar.

"Edmund!" Peter said as he caught Edmund before he hit the ground.

"Lucy use your cordial quickly!" Susan said as she and Lucy ran to Edmund's side.

Lucy gave Edmund a drop of her cordial, but it appeared to be too late. The blood continued to flow and Edmund began to gasp.

"Why isn't it working?" Lucy yelled as she began to cry.

"The potion… it's too powerful." Edmund croaked out as his skin began to become even paler.

"Edmund I'm so sorry, I've failed you. I should have never let this happen in the first place! Peter cried out as tears began to fall.

"No Peter… you didn't fail…have faith…in… Aslan." Edmund said as his eyes began to close.

Peter, Susan, and Lucy began to cry in despair as Edmund's pulse slowly stopped. It appeared that they had truly run out of time. All was lost, why did it have to be Edmund. Every single one of them had wished that it could have been one of them instead of Edmund. But then, something miraculous occurred. Edmund began to glow. The lines coming from his heart began to shine, and the stab wound had begun to close in on itself. Edmund began to cough.

"Edmund, you're alive!" Peter cried as he pulled Edmund into a hug.

"Ouch!" Edmund said softly.

Everyone began to laugh as all the siblings embraced one another in a hug. But, they all turned as they heard Edmund gasp.

"Aslan!" Edmund shouted.

"Hello Edmund, I see you're feeling much better now."

"Yes Aslan, I never lost any doubt in my siblings." Edmund said with a smile.

"I see Edmund. And that was the reason that you did not remain dead. The love for your siblings and their love for you healed all of your wounds." Aslan said.

"However there's one thing that I still want." Edmund said.

"And what could that be King Edmund?" Aslan asked.

"I am so hungry and tired." Edmund declared with a yawn as his stomach growled.

"I agree with you King Edmund. Let's get you home." Aslan said with a laugh, as everyone else joined in.

Well, this is pretty much the end of my first fanfic. The next thing that I post might be an epilogue. But, I'm considering doing a sequel. And, I'll certainly will be writing more stories based on Narnia. Maybe the next one will take place during Prince Caspian. But, I hope that you all will give me some reviews or your opinions on whether or not I should do a sequel, or if I should start a different story. Thank you once again for your reviews and all of my followers on this story and I hope to see you soon!
