Making Up

James POV….

"Potter, get down here." My coach yelled at me. I flew down to him. "What is going on with you? You are not playing like you use too for the past two weeks."

"Nothing," I said angrily at him.

"Something is going on. I want you to take some time off to figure it out," Coach said.

"We got important game coming up." I said.

"Yeah but if your head isn't here then what good are you. Get your head together." I nodded and took my broom to the locker room.

For the past two weeks I'm not living I'm surviving. After Amy left I spent the next two days not leaving my house until Al show up on the second day. He made me shower and breakfast before he asked what was wrong. I told him everything that happen that night and how Amy left me. He shook his head at me and told me to go after her. I didn't. Al must have told the family because of all the letters I got from them telling me to go after her. Lily and Lorcan wouldn't talk to me and said they would when I made up with Amy. I went back to work on the fourth day and tried to get Amy out of my head that way. Apparently that didn't work.

I didn't want to go home so I went to Al and Ally's house. When Ally saw me at the door, she sighed but let me in. I throw her a smile. I went to the sitting room to see that Al was home today. It was rare for them to be off the same day. Al nodded to me for me to know that knows I'm here. I took a seat on their couch. I debated if I wanted to turn the TV on. I could tell that Ally and Al were having a conversation about what to do with me. I've showing up at their house more then I use to. I didn't see Aaron anywhere; he might be taking a nap. I felt someone sit next to me.

"James, why are you here?" Ally asked.

"I came to see my nephew." I said, I didn't look at her.

"Aaron is sleeping, James. I'm not going to tell you what you need to do but what do you want?" Ally said.

I sat there thinking. I want to be with Amy. I want to see her wear my ring, to see her holding my children. I see us growing old together. "I want Amy as my wife." I said to Ally.

"And what do you need to do to make that happen." Ally was helping me along.

"I need to go to the States to get her." I said. Out of corner of my eye I saw Ally nod. "I'm going after her." I stood up.

"Good. You can take Al with you." Ally got up as fast as her six month body could.

"What?" Al heard us. "Ally, I can't leave you when you're pregnant. Who's going to help you with Aaron?" He went over to Ally.

"Al, I'll be fine. It's only for a few days." She kissed him.

"When do we leave?" Al turned to me.

"As soon as I make the arrangements, do you think Lorcan will go with us?" I asked.

"You can ask him. Let me know when we are leaving." Al said. I nodded and left them.

I went to the Portkey Office and got a portkey for three people. I was hoping Lorcan would go. I next I went to Lorcan and Lily house. When I knocked on the door, Lily gave me the evil eye. "Is Lorcan home I have to ask him something?" Lily nodded and let me in the house.

"He's in his office." Lily said. I went and knock on the door.

"Come in," Lorcan said from the other side. I opened the door and see that Lorcan is sitting at his desk. "What do you need, love?" Lorcan had his back away from the door.

"One, don't call me love. I don't think Lily would like that." Lorcan turned around to see me. "And two you are still helping me get Amy and we are going Phoenix to get her tonight." Lorcan just stared at me for about a second before smiling.

"So, you're going after her. Good. I'll come. I just need to tell Lily what is going on." He got up.

"Okay, do you have paper and quill I need to write Al, he is coming with us?" Lorcan handed me soon before going to tell his wife what is going on. I wrote Al to meet Lorcan and I at the Leaky Cauldron at eight. I went it off with Lorcan owl. I went out to find Lily and Lorcan talking. "Lorcan, I'll meet you at the Leaky Cauldron at eight. I have a few things I need to get done." Lorcan nodded. I left them.

The next place I went was Gringotts; I went down to my vault and took out the little black box that was in there. It was my grandmother's engagement ring, Dad give it to me on my twenty-first birthday. He told me to give it to the woman who made me want to be a better person. I opened the box to look at the ring, Granddad James had good taste. I closed the lid and left the bank. I went home and made a bag for myself before heading to the Leaky Cauldron.

When I got there Lorcan and Al were already there having something to eat. I took a seat with and order something to eat. "Did you say good bye to the family?" I smiled.

"You like that you are taking us from us wives, don't you." Al said. I nodded.

"Well after I married, we will be looking for this time when it just us guys." I said. Al and Lorcan choked on their butterbeer.

"You're going to ask her?" Lorcan recovered first to ask me. I nodded. "Welcome to the club." Lorcan patted me on the back.

"I just hope you know what you are getting into." Al smiled.

"I do." I glance at the clock. "We better get ready we leave in fifteen minutes." We grabbed their bags. We headed outside to an ally where no one was. I pulled out an old shoelace. We made sure we had a good grab on our bags before the shoelace turn blue and took us away from England.

We came to a crowed waiting room. I looked around and saw people waiting for portkeys. There was a line of people waiting to talk to one of the tellers at the windows. "That is where you need to go to get a portkey to Phoenix," Lorcan pointed out. I nodded and made way over but I was almost run over by a family of seven. One of the kids smiled at me before the dad pulled him away. I got in line and waited.

"Next," An old lady called me. I went up to the window.

"I need a portkey to Phoenix," I said. She did something.

"I don't have a direct portkey available. I have a connecting portkey from New York to Chicago to Phoenix." I nodded.

"I need it. I have two others traveling with me." She nodded and wrote something down.

"Everything is ready. I need party name." I told her. "Take a seat in that room." She pointed to a room that read above it Midwest. I thanked her.

I got Al and Lorcan and we went to the room where we were told. We found three seats together. I sat in the middle, Al sat next to the old man who was sleeping, and Lorcan got next to a girl who didn't look too much younger than us. She smiled at Lorcan. I nudged Al for him to watch this.

"Where are you from?" She asked Lorcan. She was flirting with him.

"England, where I have a beautiful wife," Lorcan told her.

"Oh," She ran her hand down his arm. "What your wife doesn't know won't hurt her." Lorcan tried to shake her off.

"You never met my wife. She has her ways about finding." Al and I both laughed. Lorcan threw us a look. "And I'm here with her two brothers who will tell her." Lorcan finally got rid of her.

"Chicago," Someone called. We got up and followed the woman who took us to another room. Behind us were three other men, one was dressed in green and gold with a cheese hat on. The other two threw him a look like they didn't know him. We all touched the toy and were off. We landed in another room where a man was standing. I went over to him.

"Potter Party," I said. He looked down at the paper in his hand.

"Third door on the left," He said. I thanked him and followed Al and Lorcan to the room where there was only one man there. We didn't wait long before we were leaving for Phoenix. After we arrived the man that was with us handed the used portkey to the person that was standing there. We followed him to the doors because he knew where he was going.

After we left I turned to Lorcan. "Do you know where she is staying?" Lorcan nodded. We followed him; we walked for about twenty minutes before we came to suburb. Lorcan came to a house with toys in the front yard.

"This is her sister's house. She stays here when she not working." Lorcan said. He pushed me to the front. I went up the four steps before coming to the front door. I knocked on the door. I heard someone running to the door. The door opened and there was no one there. Lorcan tapped me on the shoulder to look down. I looked down and saw a boy about four or five. He had brown hair and blue eyes.

I was going to say something when a woman came to the door. "Who is it Cole?" The woman saw us. "Hello I'm Ashley Nelson. How can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Amy Charles, I'm James Potter." I said. "This is my brother Al Potter and my brother -in-law Lorcan Scamander." When she saw Lorcan she smiled.

"Come in." We came in. There was another little boy who looked like he was six. "Matt can you get your aunt." The boy nodded and ran upstairs. Ashley led us to the sitting room. We took a seat on the couch. "I'll get drinks," Ashley went through another set of doors. Cole came over to us.

He looked at Al. "Do you have any kids?"

Al smiled. "I do but he is still a baby."

"Oh," Cole frowned. "Can I still play with him when he is bigger?" Al nodded. Cole looked at Lorcan. "Do you have any kids?"

Lorcan shook his head. "No, but I hope I can have a little boy like you." Cole smiled at him. He turned to me.

"Do you have any?" I shook my head.

"No but can I play with you until I do." Cole laughed and nodded. I went over to him and tickle him. He started to laugh.

Amy POV…

I came down the back stairs to the kitchen; Ashley was getting drinks for everyone. "You have three handsome men from England in the living room." She said without turning around. "Cole asked them if they had any children. The first said yes but still a baby."

"That would be Al," I said without thinking.

Ashley continued like I didn't say anything. "The second would like one just like Cole."

"That would be Lorcan," Again I said without thinking.

"The last one wanted to play with him," Ashley finished making the drinks. She looked at me. "I'm guessing that is one who broke your heart." I nodded and followed her to the living room.

James on the floor with my two nephews playing with them, he looked up when he saw us walk in the room. He broke away from the boys and stood up. "Can we talk, Amy?" James asked. After I left him in England I spent the last two weeks thinking about him and if he was going to follow me here. It took him two weeks but he is here. I nodded and led him through the kitchen to the backyard. I took a seat on one of the patio chairs. James started to pace.

"What did you want to talk about James?" I asked him.

James sighed. "I'm sorry for hurting you the way I did. I should have trusted you. I should have asked you what is going on between you and Garth. I should have stayed awake for your big night. I should have told you that I love you and never felt that way about any woman before. I should have told you after that article." He would have continued if I didn't stop.

"James, stop. You came all the way from England to say you're sorry. Let's stop talking about the should haves because I made mistakes too." I got up and went over to him.

"I love you, Amy," He wrapped his arms around me. "I'm never letting you go again." I leaned my head on his chest, taking in his scent. "There one more thing I want to do." James pulled me out of his arms. He got down on one knee. I covered my mouth with my hands. Tears started to fall. "Amy, you are my everything. After having you in my life and then you were gone, I couldn't live two weeks without you. I want a family with you. I love you, Amy. Will you take the greatest honor and become my wife." Tears were falling down my face. I nodded because I couldn't say anything. James got up, pulled out a black box, open it, and pulled out a ring. He put it on my finger and kissed me.

"I love you, James." I said after the kiss. James kissed me on the top of my head.

"I love you, Amy." He said in my head.
