Hey guys, thought I'd update this story for you I'm being extra nice as I still feel bad for not updating more often….enjoy
Dean's POV: This week has gone great, I have a wonderful and caring boyfriend and…well I got punched in the face, that's not exactly good but afterwards Cas told me he thought it was hot standing up for him, and I got to look after him while he got better. Grrrr, there's Gabriel and Uriel, those bastards, one of them breaks Castiel's nose and they both claim to be my friends…well used to be anyways.
"Hey Deano, how's it going?" Dean stopped in his tracks, "Why the hell were they being nice to me?"
"What do you want?" Dean asked, clearly annoyed. "Nothing, just making conversation"
Dean seriously wanted to punch Gabriel in the face, he stopped himself though, he knew it wouldn't be the right thing to do, but God did he want to. Dean kept walking, not wanting to keep their attention any longer. He would have to be careful around Cas, he wanted to shout it to the world, but you know, it's highschool even if you were you nicest kid in the world with the best intentions, everyone, it didn't matter who you were, everyone cared in some way what other people thought of them.
"Dean" Dean turned to see his dad facing him.
"Da-d …I didn't think you was coming till next week?" Dean questioned.
"I came early, I mean my son doesn't turn 16 every day does he?"
oh my god how could Dean forget his own birthday.
Castiel must have heard this because he raced over to talk to him.
"DEAN IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY?" Castiel realised he had said it just a bit too loudly. "Oh..um, Castiel this is my dad"
Castiel turned to face who he presumed to be Dean's father, they didn't look that much alike, for some reason Castiel felt something close to fear, did he fear Dean't father?, well maybe just a little.
Dean's father shook Castiel's hand. "Nice to meet you son" his tone was quite serious, I think Castiel appeared a bit too flamboyant for my father's taste, he clearly suspected something.
"Nice to meet you " Castiel said kindly.
"All right well I'll see you later son" and with that Dean's father left.
"You never told me it was your birthday?" Dean chuckled.
"Well to be honest I didn't even know, I've gotten so wrapped up in things lately I completely forgot" Castiel trailed his hand up Dean's chest. "What kind of things have you gotten wrapped up in?" Dean blushed and then coughed. "Oh um, nothing…homework yeah, um my birthday's Friday next week if you were wondering, I dunno if you were planning anything or what but um, no it's stupid, ok no you don't have to do anything for me-mph! Castiel kissed Dean.
Dean pulled away abruptly. "What?" Cas questioned.
"We're still at school" "Sorry" Castiel looked hurt, just as he was about to walk away Dean grabbed his arm.
"Cas?" Castiel stood, listening but not turning around.
"you have no idea how proud I am of you, that you have the courage to kiss me in public without being embarressed, or caring what others think of you, but you have to understand why I can't right now, I can't put into words how much you mean to me, I truly can't, but it is because of that reason that you have to trust that no matter what happens, I…I" Ugh just say it you baby!, go on freaking say it! Oh Dean you're such a wuss.
Castiel turned around at this point, he stepped towards Dean and carressed his face for about a second and then pulled away. "It's okay, I understand, you have no idea what you mean to me to, what you've always meant to me, even when you didn't notice me, or joined in with the others making fun of me, I always cared for you, and I always will" there was moment of silence before Castiel spoke again.
"I know what you mean, and I'm sorry, I know there's a boundry between us at school, and that's okay" Dean's eyes began to water, he thought he was such a terrible person.
Cas walked off, after he had turned the corner, Dean's phone went off alerting him that he had a text message.
Dean you are so handsome, and you have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now…maybe later, hey?
- Cas
Dean smiled, his reputation couldn't be ruined from texting, and he hit reply and began typing.
Don't feel as if the feeling isn't mutual my angel ;)
-Dean xx
Dean's POV:
Ugh I feel like such a girl…and for the first time I don't mind.
…...
Dean smiled as he sent the text; he knew they would be okay…for now.
