"Told you it was that sneaky bitch!" Alex snapped, standing in Jay's apartment with Spinner.

Spinner sat on the counter and Jay leaned back near his sink, arms crossed and just staring down at the ground hard.

"Dude, that sucks." Spinner said and looked to Alex who shrugged. Spinner gave her a look to help Jay out.. he was sure finding out the girl you had some thing for who was really plotting against you, probably sucked.

"She was too goody." Alex informed and looked to Jay who was still out of it, "Be happy! It's finally over!"

Jay glanced at her then the phone near Spinner on the counter that was Emma's and walked to it.

Something in his gut just didn't feel right. He picked up Emma's phone, and went to the messages.

"You think it's Cam whose her partner?" Spinner joked but was a little serious too, "Maybe they both found out what wedid, wanted revenge, got back together like good ol' lovers should, then went on this psycho rampage?"

Alex snickered but noticed Jay staring into Emma's phone, "what?" she asked.

"The messages go back to the other week..." he looked up at them, "This started at least over 2 months ago.'

"Read the first message." Spinner told him.

Jay did so and they all crowded together to look. The text message read..

"Emma, so good to have you join the game-A'

Emma texted back 'who is this?'

Spinner blinked, and looked to Jay. So Emma DIDN'T know who 'A' was. Jay kept reading, too distracted by the looks Alex and Spinner gave him.

'A' wrote back to her.. 'I'm the person who tried to burn you all alive at your play. I need a favor, and I won't try to hurt you this time..-A'

'What kind of favor..' Emma wrote back after a few minutes.

"Shit." Alex said out loud, ripping the phone from Jay's desperate hands, and her eyes widening, "So Nelson doesn't even fucking know who it is! He/she is making her do things too! So this isn't over!?"

"Give me the fucking phone." Jay said in a no playful matter tone. He had pointed his finger at Emma, even had accidentally hurt her...and she was innocent. He had really hurt her by the look on her face.

Fuck, he screwed up.

He let the hurt and pain wash over before rationally thinking and letting her just talk to him and explain.

Alex bit the end of her tounge and glared, but passed it back, knowing Jay needed to read the rest of this.

A had texted Emma back, 'It's simple really, just stay away from Jay Hogart for today..when you see him, run like the wind'

'Ok. I did it. Now stop texting me.'

Now it made sense when Emma just looked at him like a deer in headlights that one day. Where she ACTUALLY ran away from him.

This was why she did it..A told her to.

'Oh no sweetie,' A texted her back 'That was just to see if I can trust you. Now.. all I really want from you is you to bring yourself and your girlfriends to Craig Mannings party tomorrow night..'

'then you'll leave me alone?' Emma texted back.

'Yes.-A.'

Jay stared hopelessly at the phone, not believing this. 'A' set Emma up and Emma was just easy bait, trying to rid of a creepy texter. And 'A' happily lured her to the party so he/she could attack and drug Emma's drink..blaming Jay for it, setting them BOTH up.

Jay read the texts from today..

'Don't you dare go meet up with him.-A'

'I'm not afraid of you.'

'Should be.-A'

Then there was the last text, thanking Emma for helping A out even though she didn't..A was trying to make it look like something else, and knew Jay would freak out and not look more into it..because in a moment like that, it's hard not to freak out and believe anything once you think you were lied to by the only person you've ever cared about

Jay flew out of his apartment and ran down his apartment stairs after the elevator took too long, and he ran out in the pouring rain towards his car to get to Emma's.

Jay's orange civic raced down the road as fast as it could go.

When he sped into Emma's driveway, he even let the car just run as he got out and ran to Emma's front door, pounding on it.

After a few moments, and even shouting her name, Mr. S.. Snake, answered the door.

"Mr. Hogart." Snake said, a bit confused and eyed him up and down as he stepped outside and crossed his arms, "what do you need?"

"I need to talk to Emma." Jay said quickly and hopefully.

Snake looked into the house and back at Jay, wondering why Jay looked like his life would be over if he couldn't see his daughter.

"She left for summer vacation early." Snake explained

Jay's mouth fell and his shoulders dropped, looking hopeless, "She did?" he asked.

The rain started to pour again, but Jay didn't care...and he stood there like a sad puppy out in the rain as Snake took a step back into the house nodding.

"Sorry Hogart." he said, giving him a small sad smile and nod, before closing the door.

Jay stared off.
