I don't own Invader Zim or Men In Black okay? I know it's taken me awhile to update this one but I was focused on finishing some other works of mine before I take on other challenges. But hey I've been in a writing mood so I figured I'd get to this one. But hey enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

The week leading up to Dib's arragned date with Tenn passed slowly. Between J trying to give him tips on how to make a woman happy and Zed stressing how important it was this go off without a hitch, he was feeling pretty nervous. After one of Zed's bland talks that reminded him much of what his father would say if he got involved in his love life, Dib rolled his eyes and headed to the breakroom where the Worms were sitting around drinking a pot of coffee and smoking some cigarettes. "Pour me a cup." Dib sighed as the worms cheered in joy at having someone to accompany them in their caffine addiction.

"Junga D!" They yelled as Dib grabbed the cup and downed it.

"Yeah, yeah Junga..." Dib said as the coffee hit his stomach, the warmth spreading all over his body. "Just what the hell am I doing?"

"Your job." Agent K said as he came in. "Figured I should be the one to talk to you. I wouldn't be as boring as Zed on the matter seeing your assignment as nothing but that and I wouldn't be like J trying to viacariously live his own love life through you thinking he's some smooth operator."

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you'd be more like Zed." Dib said as he held out the cup to the worms to refill it.

"Meh." K said dismissing the idea.

"Look I hadn't been on any sort of thing that could remotely be called a date since I was 12. I'm nearly 18 and hadn't talked to a girl other than my sister in years. I mean they all turned me down and by the time I was a sophmore, I just gave up on the idea of asking anyone out till later. I mean what girl would go with the one everyone is laughing at and is the big headed idiot." Dib said.

"Well, don't think too much on the date side, think on the fact that Tenn has fears, dreams, hopes and desires for her life just like you do and talk to that. You can be quite nice when someone drags you out of your shell." K said.

"I can?" Dib asked.

"Yeah. Doesn't help that everyone you knew was either not interested in you or too dumb to see they're being a jerk." K said. "But that's what I've seen on you slick. Besides, you're brave or foolish enough to run after a Voot runner when it is trying to fly off. I think if you can do that without concern for the laws of physics or what happens to spines when you hit the pavement hard, then why are you intimidated by talking to a female of the Irken species? You've done it before."

"Yeah but I didn't know Tak was Irken at the time." Dib said. "Tenn I know is an Invader who was fleeing Meekrob, a planet that the inhabitants gave me these freaky telepathic powers to try and defeat Irk."

"Well, you won't be alone now if they try something." K smiled. "Just be yourself." K said as he then looked back to Dib and realized he had to clarify something "But don't get talking too much too long and that rambling thing you do sometimes."

"I ramble on sometimes? Like how? Am I doing it right now? I didn't think I really did that, I mean I try to tell people everything I know if they want to know about it. Maybe when they don't want to but..." Dib started.

"You're doing it now." K sighed as Dib shut up and covered his mouth. "Just don't do that Friday."

"I'll try not to." Dib sighed. "And the date's Saturday."

"Oh, my bad. And whatever advice J gives you, ignore. He likes to think he's a charmer, but not as much." K smiled as he headed out of the breakroom.

"Still say I should have taken that mission to charm that little miss Tenn." Frank said as he followed K.

"Yeah, but we're not looking for her to have a fluffy puppy. Tenn acts a lot like a human anyway so all she would do is just pet you and maybe put you in a silly fru fru dress." K said. Frank growled. "Things like that have to be considered on missions."

Meanwhile, a Vortian, covered in residue from explosions stood at the gates looking at the agent rather furiously. He was 777 had just escaped from being locked up in a Military Research Prison on what used to be his home planet. Those damned Irkens. Take their biggest and best ally and conquer them! We've supplied them with so much of their technology that they'd be shooting themselves in the foot if Vort ever really got themselves together! Why in the hell isn't my people or the other conqured planets doing somethign about this! We built massive flaws into their equipment for this reason.

"Name?" The MIB refugee clerk said bored.

"Prisoner 777..." The Vortian said as he wiped his goggles off.

"Prisoner? You mean you're named Prisoner?" She asked.

"No, it's 777, I had just spent a very long time in a military research prison that Irk threw me in. Me and my old friend Lord Nar designed the Massive, the Irken Armada's capitol ship and those damned bugs go and conqure our home planet of Vort! I was sent to prison, I don't know what happened to ol' Nar..."

"We haven't seen anything of him. No reports anyway." The clerk said.

"You're telling me the status of a refugee?" 777 asked.

"Only because there isn't a Vortian civil war and you knew him." The clerk said. "Take these papers and wait for your assignment into human society. You'll be provided with a disguise and we'll find a job for you."

"Where will I be working?" 777 asked.

"Vortians typically end up as furniture salesmen. You do have the universe's most comfortable couch." The clerk suggested.

"That was scared to us. Now freaking Larb is sitting on that thing eating our Vort chili dogs and descrating it!" 777 said.

"We'll keep that in mind when you get your new job." The clerk said. "Tell the vocational specialist."

"Fine." 777 said as he took his papers and sat in the chair waiting for his name to be called. "I swear I may have been freer in prison..."

That Saturday, Dib took the items that Zed had gave him and headed to Tenn's address. "She's staying here?" He said as he looked at the pawn shop. Dib sighed and opened the door to find Jeebs looking over at him. "Ummmm... is Tennisha here?"

"Tennisha?" Jeebs asked, then realizing he was talking about Tenn, looked at the hallway that lead to the apartments above the shop and yelled up there.

"Tennisha! You got some guy here asking for you!" Jeebs said.

"Oh shut up! I'm coming down there!" Tenn yelled as she headed out wearing a simple red dress and black dress boots holding a small black purse. "Well, I can see you are man enough to keep a promise."

"If there's one thing I pride myself it's keeping promises." Dib said. Just take K's advice and play it natural. You aren't trying to nail her or anything, just charm her, and place some recording devices in her room to make sure she's not getting involved in anything bad. This is just dinner, you're not looking for anything serious. He thought as he turned to Tenn who was standing beside him. "Shall we go."

"Hey, no glove no love! You don't want to have to pay for this thing's spawn!" Jeebs laughed.

"SHUT UP!" Tenn said as she grabbed a heavy paperweight he had for sale and threw it across the store, hitting him square between the eyes. "You're too much of a gentleman to ask something so crude of a lady?" Tenn said with a smile.

"Of course I wouldn't." Dib said. "I'm parked over here." He said as he pressed a button and unlocked the doors of the 2008 Lincoln Towncar.

"Wow." Tenn said amazed. "I never pictured you of having a car this size. It has a 4.6 liter V8 engine and 239 horsepower. Pretty powerful. Sure you man enough to handle it or want the lady to drive it from here?"

"I can handle it fine. What did you think I was driving?" Dib asked slighly offended.

"Oh one of those Priuses..." Tenn said. "110 horsepower..." She noticed Dib's offended look. "Not because you couldn't handle it, just because we're in a city and it would be more fuel efficent! I figured you'd be big on that!"

"Well, it's my dad's car." Dib said covering up for the fact it was really property of the Men in Black. "So don't touch anything I say not to or spill anything. He's a real neat freak and likes to play around with making improvements. And I don't know what he's done with this thing."

"So, don't have one of your own?" Tenn said slightly disappointed. "Oh well. I've always loved vehicles." Tenn sighed as she remembered her Invader days where she was one of the best mechanics the Armada had and could fix almost anything. Except hundreds of malfunctioning SIR units... "I've always wondered if we could make these things faster. I don't think they go fast enough. I want to see the stars, cross space, something like that."

"So, fasinated with outer space too?" Dib asked as he pulled into the resturant that he had promised he was going to take her. He had known from her profile that she was a former Invader but to find that she learned this much about Earth cars in the short time she had been on this planet suprised her. But then again, it wasn't that suprising. A proper Invader would have good information collecting skills and would want to learn about their target's transportation. Geesh if Tenn is learning about stuff like that already and she's moved to this planet, then how pathetic is Zim! Dib thought, thinking of all the wasted time he might have had.

"Yeah. I always thought I would find my place among the stars. No way we're alone out there. I want to see it all." Tenn sighed adjusting the glasses of her disguise looking sadly at the night sky. "Can't even properly see the stars here in the city."

"Yeah. I know a few spots in town that you can see them well, and some outside the city that's pretty good." Dib said. "Take it you didn't used to live here."

"No. Things got bad where I used to live." Tenn said.

"Well this place has some of the best authetic Mexican in town and the best chips. Don't fill up on them though. I love the burritos and that will make you want to pace yourself on the free chips." Dib smiled.

"I hope they're as good as you said. I don't want Miss Jeffa making fun of you. Speaking of library affairs, how are those books you checked out?" Tenn smiled as the hostess sat them down in a table in the corner. "Nice and private."

"Yeah..." Dib blushed. I don't think Tenn really means the Earth any harm, she just wants a nice place to live after what happened on Meekrob... But that's not my place to judge on this mission. I thought Tak was honest when I first met her.

In the opposite corner of where Dib and Tenn were talking, Chowfun and Lomein were looking on, observing and calculating their next move. "Should we attack now?" Lomein asked knowing how much Chowfun wanted Tenn dead.

"Not yet. We have to make sure that she isn't using our tool." Chowfun said.

"She went on a date with him. She must find some use for him." Lomein said.

"Yes, but after observing human dating rituals, and assuming he does not know that Tenn is an Irken, it might be just that, an innocent date where he assumes she is actually Tennisha." Chowfun explained. "If we find her making some sort of move on him first, we will attack."

"Agreed." Lomein said as they contiuned to observe. They watched as the pair kept talking and enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner and had an enjoyable evening. Dib pulled out the MIB's unlimited credit card to pay and with this, Tenn bent over and kissed him on the cheek as she had thought would be appropriate from reading about dates before she had gone on this one.

"That's the move!" Chowfun yelled as he charged an energy beam and shot it at the table.

"What the?" Dib asked he turned to noticed the Meekrob and their beam.

"Oh no!" Tenn yelled.

"We got to get out of here!" Dib yelled as he pushed a few buttons and the car pulled up at the resturant.

"What about the card?" Tenn asked. "I read you shouldn't leave it behind."

"Relax, no harm can be done and we've got bigger problems." Dib said as he took Tenn's hand, threw her in the passanger seat. "I've got to get us back to headquarters quick. I don't think Zed planned for this."

"Zed? Headquarters? What's going on? Were those Meekrob?" Tenn asked as she turned in her seat to see the beings of pure energy start to follow them.

"I'll explain when we get there. We'll have some backup. Hope you didn't leave anything important at Jeebs." Dib said.

So how was that? Good? Bad? Short? Long? Let me know in a review. And forgive me but as a little fangirl of me I always thought of Dib as being quite the little gentleman once you got past his obessive tendencies. I mean he's always trying to look after Gaz despite her attitude towards everything. But hey, that's me the fangirl side coming out. And yes those are real specs on those cars, amazing what Google can teach you. But anyway, remember to read, well you just did, and to review. Ciao for now,
