Chapter 11 The Bot From The Past

Summary: Starscream finishes his sentence & a planet-wide hunt is made for the being when unknown to them, it's been there the whole time!

Starscream: The author doesn't own anything from the Transformers franchise. Now if you don't mind, I need to finish my speech!

Me: And I thought politicians couldn't keep their yaps shut.

"Starscream, why'd you stop?" Megatron asked. "It's because of something the author calls a 'cliffhanger'. Anyways, the whole message says, 'It's me, G1 Soundwave'!" Starscream said. Megatron's optics went huge & Optimus's jaw dropped. "Wait so your saying that this is from a Generation 1 Transformer? How? This isn't the same universe as them." Arachnid asked. "On the contrary Arachnid, they're in the same universe as we are in right now. It's just that so much time has passed that their adventures are no longer 'aired' or given any attention." Optimus said. "Huh?" Arcee asked. "It's kind of like a DVD. Once you watch it, that's it. But you still own it or something like that. But back to G1, he must be over who knows how many years old by now. Did the scratch marks look fresh or old?" Megatron asked. "They looked new. Like someone put it there maybe 2-3 days ago." Bumblebee said. "Interesting, Orion! Could you come here a moment?" Optimus asked. The Primeaglodon walked towards his master & asked, "What do you need?" However, he still kept his eyes open for that figure he saw the night before. "We need you to go with Arachnid, Bumblebee & Arcee tomorrow to try to follow the scent of some scratch marks they found. You think you can do it?" Megatron asked. "So long as they're fresh I can track whatever made them for miles." Orion said. "Ok, we'll have to do it tomorrow, it's getting late." Optimus said. The sun began to vanish over the horizon. "What, no thanks to me for deciphering the message?! After all that work I did I don't get any-" "How much work did you do exactly?" Arcee asked. "I deciphered the message!" Starscream growled. "Oh so sorry for making you waste ounces of Energon! Please forgive me for making you strain an optic just to help us out! I hope this wasn't too much of a burden for you. We could'nt have done this without you Starscream!" Arachnid said with heavy sarcasm. Starscream narrowed his optics & followed the spider-con into the cave. Orion watched as the last few Transformers entered the cave. Then he jerked his head around & towards the forest. He saw those same eyes again. This time he got into an offensive pose. The eyes looked at him before a low growling sound was heard. It sounded bigger, but then again half the beasts on the planet make themselves sound larger than they really are. (Think of a Frilled Lizard when it feels threatened. It tried to make itself look bigger with it's hood & sound more intimidating) Orion snarled quietly & the eyes vanished.

With the eyes…. About 2 hours later…

"They got the message..." it said.

Next day…

Orion was following Arachnid, Arcee, Bumblebee & Elita-1 to the tree they found the marks on. "Here it is, take a whiff." Bumblebee said. Orion sniffed it & backed away from the tree. "What's wrong?" Arcee asked. "The scent is telling my brain to leave it alone. It's a strong creature who left it. I can follow this one easy." Orion said as he began walking. He sniffed the ground, leaves & trees as he walked to make sure he was following the right smell.

Meanwhile back at the cave….

Optimus, Megatron & the others were sitting in the cave, waiting for Orion to return with G1 Soundwave. "Why can't we go out & do our duties?" Wheeljack asked. "We don't know what creatures there are out there. Besides, Orion told me that we should stay here while he's gone." Megatron said. "But it's daytime," Predaking said. "Orion told us not to go until he returns." Optimus said. Predaking snorted & looked out the mouth of the cave. He noticed something: A creature's arms were grabbing Mini-tronia's corpse. "Hey! Something's grabbing Mini-tronia's corpse!" Predaking said. "Oh leave it Predaking, Orion said that the creature who eats her lives on the opposite side of the planet." Optimus said. Predaking looked outside & saw the creature grab the corpse. He snarled & the beast looked at him. He was surprised at how large it was. He was temporarily intimidated by it's size but he shook it off. Predaking growled angrily at the beast. The beast roared loudly & revealed that it had mandibles within it's mouth. Predaking snarled & launched at the beast. The creature was a tall one, it had a head similar to a deer but with 2 large dark purple horns pointing upwards, 3 spikes were on the back of it's head, the top part of it's head (Upper jaw included) with the 3 spikes was light purple, it had black eyes with red pupils, it had 4 canines in it's mouth & almost 50 teeth in it's mouth, on the inside of it's cheeks held orange mandibles like an insect that were surprisingly large when the beast opened it's mouth; it's body, neck & lower jaw were dark purple; it's arms were exactly like a praying Mantis's arms except they were pink & the spikes were yellow orange colored; it also had 3 small yet still clearly visible; it also had 3 pairs of legs like a praying mantis that were neon green but the first 2 pairs were shaped similar to protruding ribs & when shut would make a cage-like shape; the last pair of legs had 2 'clawed toe-like' protrusions that made the 'V' shape; it also had a long scorpion's tail that was bright pink & it had 2 large; long black stingers on either side of the tail along with one stinger on the front of the tail & it was nearly 20 feet taller than Orion in adult form but around the same length. It screeched loudly & it sounded like nails on chalkboard. Predaking hissed & said, "Get out you freak!" "You speak it too?" it asked. "You talk?! Hey Prime, Megaton! Get out here." Predaking said. Both leaders walked out & their optics practically bugged out their eyes. "What- What are you?" Optimus asked while hiding behind Megatron. "I'm the thing that left the scratch marks, are one of you Optimus Prime or Megatron?" it asked. If this was a cartoon, giant question marks would've been hovering over both leaders' heads in confusion.

With Orion…

Him & the group were nearing the beast's lair. There they found a hole in the ground. Orion walked in first to see if there were any freaks. "It's safe to come in!" Orion said. He continued to sniff the lair for any trace of Transformer. It turns out, the creature had dug a burrow like a mole that was large enough to let Orion stand at full height. "Whoo's thheeerrre?" asked a voice. Orion followed it into a tunnel that lead to a small room with some beings in there. "I think I found him." Orion said. Elita-1 rushed in & gasped. "Soundwave… Can you hear me?" she asked. The G1 Decepticon was heavily damaged & had red spikes that were shaped exactly like the ones the beast had & he was leaking Energon. Near his left servo was Ravage who had 2 back legs dangling by a few wires; sitting on his head was a weathered Laserbeak & finally near his right hip was an injured Rumble who had an arm missing & was holding it. "Elita-1… How did you get heere?" Soundwave droned weakly. "We'll talk about that later, this is Orion, a creature who can help you." Elita-1 said. Orion wasn't too sure about this but drooled on the poor Decepticon anyways. The nanobots in his saliva began to close the wounds, re-attach the wires & help the energon flow through his systems again. Soon Soundwave was up & operational. "Thank you Oriooon, but what aboout my minii-coons?" Soundwave droned. "We'll have to take them back to the cave for safe healing. I think the sun's about to go down." Orion said. "Then pleeease, heeelp me with my mini-cooons." Soundwave said. Elita-1 carefully picked up Ravage, Bumblebee held Laserbeak on his arm like a falconeer & Arachnid carried Rumble with her spider legs. The group left the beasts' underground lair & rushed back to the cave.

Meanwhile at the cave…..

"… so your the creature that tries to become allies with others aswell as hunts Mini-tronia's species?" Bulkhead asked. After the creature introduced herself as Galvanuscorpa, she had described what had happened prior to her first seeing Orion. "Yes, except this one has some slight differences such as more height than the average creature. But I must ask you, what killed it? Most creatures on this side of the planet aren't big enough or brave enough to even face it." Galvanuscorpa asked. "Well that was Orion the Primeaglodon." Megatron said. "Is he the one with a bird-like head, long front claws, long tail & snarls a-lot?" Galvanuscorpa asked. "Yes, how did you know?" Optimus asked. "When I was out hunting a few days ago, I saw him watching over the corpse. Does it know about me?" she asked. "Yeah, when he killed Mini-tronia, he mentioned a creature that hunts her species, was bigger than him & that it- Err you might leave us alone if we leave you the carcass." Ratchet said. Then the sound of rustling leaves hit everyone's 'ears'. Orion entered the cave & halted in his tracks. "Are you that Orion creature?" Galvanuscorpa asked. "Yeah, you must be that thing that hunts Mini-tronia?" he asked. "Yes, why are you- You found him! Is he alright?!" Galvanuscorpa asked. "Yeah I healed him in your burrow. What's your name?" Orion asked. "My name is Galvanuscorpa. I get my name from some beings named 'Galvatron', 'Cyclonus' & 'Scorponok'. Whoever they are." Galvanuscorpa said. "Well that explains the 3-pointed crest thing on your head." Wheeljack remarked. "& your horns & body colors. Wait, does that mean that they're here too?" Starscream asked worriedly. "If they're here I haven't seen them. Would they have a head crest/horns like mine?" Galvanuscorpa asked. "Yeah except they're 3 separate beings. One's nuts & the other one has a confusing back story." Starscream said nervously. "Galvanuscorpa, you can stay so long as you promise not to hurt Optimus or Megatron." Orion growled. "Why would I want to hurt them?! Soundwave told me to try to find these 2 even though the description he gave didn't match up completely." Galvanuscorpa said. "That's because he was describing your G1 counterparts!" Laserbeak squawked. "Well, at least this will make it easier to protect this cave." Orion said. Sometime after introductions the Transformers went into recharge. Galvanuscorpa went out hunting while Orion remained at the mouth of the cave. Still keeping an eye out for trouble. Galvanuscorpa's arrival wouldn't change Orion's habits too much.

Galvanuscorpa: At least I got into the story finally.

Orion: What do you mean by that?

Galvanuscorpa: My design was finished over a year ago yet it took me this long to get into the story.

Me: Well if the laptop I originally wrote this story on hadn't died you would've been added a long time ago.

Galvanuscorpa: Sorry, I didn't know. R & R!

Me: BTW, I've been working on a sequel that involves Orion going to the G1 universe. Let me know if I should add it or not.
