Okay before you start this chapter. I wanted to stay with the whole Rose point of view idea, But then I realized that you wouldnt be able to evesdrop on Dimitri's family talking to eachother because they are speaking russian... So hopefully if everything goes to plan the only part you will have to read form someone elses perspective is in this chapter (thats if everything goes as planned.) whiiiiich it probably wont... Ohhhh well. Enjoy :D
Chapter 10
I woke up at 6:00, odd for me. I felt better then I did last night and knew that I should go talk to Lissa before she left, I mean I had no idea what time she was leaving at but I really needed to talk to her. I snuck out of the bed, luckily without I walked downstairs and intended to wait for her but instead I found her there waiting for me.
"Liss." I said.
She didn't look at me, "It's okay."
"Pardon?"
"Its okay." She repeated, "I understand why you didn't want to talk to me. Every time I use my magic I hurt you. I remember what it was like before you started, so I understand and I really want to stop giving it to you but I can't go back. I can't keep experiencing the darkness. I'm so sorry" Her voice started to shake and I knew she was going to begin crying.
I went up and hugged her. "Dont feel bad." I whispered in her ear, "I can handel it, don't worry. Just understand when I get mad at you its not me"
"O..Okay." She said. "Tasha, Christian and I are leaving in 20 minutes, I have to go upstairs and pack"
"Alright." I replied. "I going to go for a run. So if I you leave before I get back, Ill see you back at the academy then." I said.
"Yeah. Have a good rest of your vacation. Oh, and I got you this so if you ever need to talk you can call me." She pulled a phone out of her pocket and handed it to me "its only got so many minutes on it but you can call me no matter where I am, I programmed my number in it and everything."
"Thanks Lissa." I said smiling at her "I love you so much don't ever forget that" I said hugging her and we both ran upstairs, her to pack and me to change.
I snuck back into Dimitri's room grabbed my stuff. You would think with all of his guardian training he would have woken up by now. Maybe he was a heavy sleeper like me...Or I have super ninja skills (I personally, hope its the second one).
I had been running for thirty minutes when an intense pain hit the bottom of my stomach causing me to fall and hit the ground hard. Ouch, Son of a bitch. However the pain disappeared as fast as it came so I decided to continue on my run. I ran around for another half hour before I found the house again (I know smart me, I got lost in a foreign city and was to proud to ask for directions) I was just about to run up the drive way when the pain hit again causing me to stumble onto the front lawn. However this time it didn't go away, well it did go away but it came back just as quickly. I then noticed something red start to run down my leg. Painfully, I got up and stumbled towards the house and inside the front door.
I saw Olena as soon as the door was open.
"Rose. Rose are you okay? What happened?" She said, staying calm like the nurse she is.
"I" Breath. "Was running." Breath. "And all of a sudden it hit me." Breath. "And now theres blood." Breath. "Running down my." Breath. "Leg." Breath. "Help me." by the time I finished what I had to say I was yelling so loud I was sure the neighbors could have heard me.
"Okay, okay. Shhh." She said trying to calm me down.
"Where's Dimitri?" I asked needing a distraction. He had worked well enough last night, I could use him again.
"I sent him to the market to get milk" she replied.
"Oh." I breathed and nodded my head simultaneously.
"Okay, Rose" She said very calmly. "Because the Princess healed you last night, I cant take you to the hospital so I'm going to go get Viktoria and we are going to carry you upstairs and im going to take care of you. But this is going to be painful."
I just nodded.
"Viktoria" Olena yelled.
Getting up the stairs didn't hurt as much as I expected it did and once I was in Olena's room things got hectic.
Olena sent Sonya downstairs to wait for Dimitri, she told her that no matter what he said or did not to let him go upstairs, she then paused for a moment and said, "Karolina, you go with her just in case."
I laughed at that and Olena looked at me and smiled
"You know better than anything how Dimitri can be." she said "Now Rose when was the last time you had your period."
"What? Why?" I asked.
"Just tell me Rose."
"Uhhh, a little more than a month ago, its a little late but its like that sometimes."
"I think your having a miscarriage." She said.
"What? That doesn't make any sense-" but she cut me off before I could tell her that her son was the only one I had ever slept with.
"Viktoria, I need you to sit behind Rose and hold her hand and Rose I'm going to need you to push."
"Olena, I'm not pregnant." I said simply my breathing still heavy.
"Never the less Rose I still need you to push."
After a couple of my "pushes" I passed out.
Sonya's Point of View
I caught Dimitri in the hallway before he was able to walk into the room, grab Rose and hold her tight. He obviously didn't understand how the situation worked out and how he was on the wrong end of it. I was determined to make him see it
"Dimitri!" I yelled at him.
"What?" He yelled back! He was already angry at me for not letting him upstairs earlier, and even before that because I was never nice to his "new found love" ughhh, I mean slut much.
"What are you doing?"
"To see Rose! She's hurt probably confused maybe even scarred and I don't want her to wake up alone!"
"Dimitri, she had a MISCARRIAGE," I dragged the word out nice and long, maybe the more he heard it the more he would understand. "Your Damphir and shes Damphir. How do you suppose she got like that? She had to have slept with a Moroi, and she wasn't far along enough to have done it before you two got together so she must have cheated on you Dimka! Get the picture she just is'nt as great of a girlfriend as you thought."
I saw the hurt disperse through his eyes, he was finally getting it.
"She's practically famous among Damphir's, even Viktoria has heard of her all the way over here in Russia. She must have men throwing themselves at her, and have you seen her self-control its practically non-existant. Plus she seems to be mentally unstable, did you not see her last night at the party I mean her best friend saves her life and she didnt even have the desency to thank her!"
The hurt in his eyes dissapeared and anger replaced it. He then backed me up against a wall.
"Sonya, your my sister and I love you. Therefore I would never hurt you, but don't you ever talk about Rose in that tone ever again or you will regret it. she is an amazing woman and has been through more than you and your pregnant belly can even imagine. There is an explanation for this and I am going to figure it out. So, until I do you should stay quite." He said sternly. All of a sudden there was a big bang and Dimitri ran into the room.
I had never heard him talk to me like this before and I was slightly scared. He was in denial though if he thought there was an explanation to this I mean I highly doubt this skank was the type to get rufied and raped in an ally. She cheated in him, and I was going to make him realize it. If I couldn't do that though I was going to get this girl out of our family.
Rose's Point of view
I woke up to a spinning world. I heard voices talking in the hallway and rolled over so I could see the door. Umph, Apparently someone had placed me to close to the edge of the bed and when I rolled over I fell off, knocking over whatever was placed on the night table beside me.
"Ouch..." I said rubbing the back of my head where I had hit it off the night stand.
"Rose." Dimitri said as he walked in kneeling down where I had fell and replacing my hand with his. Other than his insanely beautiful body, I noticed one other thing when he had entered the room. The absence of my nickname
"Yeah, I'm fine. What happened?" I asked.
For a moment Dimitri just stared at me and just as he was about to speak,
"You had a miscarriage." A female voice said from the door.
"Sonya." Dimitri said.
"No, Dimitri. She needs to explain." Sonya turned to me and stared at me with daggers for eyes, "So tell us, when did you try to cheat on ol'Dimka here?"
"I neve-" I started.
"No that can't be true, because in order to have a miscarriage you would have to be pregnant. Last time I checked you were Damphir and so is Dimka, yet somehow you were pregnant. So the only explanation I can come up with is that your slutty littl-"
"Sonya!" Dimitri yelled, and he was furious. I had never seen him like this.
"No!" She yelled back.
"Get out!" Dimitri, then got up and headed towards her, leading her out into the hallway.
I wasnt sure what was going on, on the other side of that door because it was all in Russian, but there was a lot of yelling. I realized that I was tearing this family apart, Sonya hates me... I have a feeling Yeva hates me to. Olena probably thinks I'm a slut and I don't see why she helped me after she figured out that I was having a miscarriage. I needed space to breathe. I needed to be alone. I went over to my bag and grabbed my sweater, and the phone Lissa had given me earlier that day and opened the window.
Looking down it wasn't a huge drop, we were only on the second floor, I mean it would hurt and everything but I wouldn't break anything and it was the only way out there was. I jumped out of the window doing a little tuck and roll to lessen the impact the fall would have had on my ankles and ran quickly out of sight of the house. I knew that Dimitri would be done his talk with Sonya by now and probably back in the room wondering where I was.
Oh god why was I running? This isn't like me at all, I would never run from these problems. The old would face that hormonally imbalanced pregnant chick down and fight till the end (verbally, I would never hit a pregnant woman. I'm not that much of a bitch). I would tell her that I loved Dimitri and that I had never, ever slept with anyone else. Nor did I want to and Olena must have been mistaken because I most certainly did not just have a miscarriage. But this Rose, she decided to run... What a coward. I didn't like this Rose, I wasn't going to be this Rose.
I walked up to the front door and stopped, I wasn't going to be the Rose that walked into the house and explained that she jumped out the window though... Ill just sit on the porch.
I sat down on the little deck swing they had and waited for someone to come rushing out (knowing it would probably be Dimitri, getting ready to chase me down.)
How could it have been possible for me to have a miscarriage though... I had only ever slept with Dimitri, once. And then I remembered that video they made us watch in health class where all the Degrassi people walked around interviewing these teen mothers, the girl on that said she had only ever done it once when she got pregnant (hadn't done it since either). But even with that sort of luck, I was still Damphir and I had only ever slept with Dimitri - that I knew for sure - and Damphirs couldn't have children with each other, only with other Moroi, But I hadnt slept with any other Moroi. And then a thought came to my head... Im shadow-kissed, I thought. I mean its a poor petty excuse for this, but what if. It had effected so many other aspects of my life, like the ghosts and the nausea, why not my anatomy.
The door suddenly burst open and Dimitri ran through it down the driveway looking back and forth down the street trying to spot which way I had went.
I leaned over the railway and called to him, " lost your trusty steed Comrade?" He turned around, a look of relief washing all over his face. He looked me up and down.
"You jumped out of a window." He stated, in a what was a question but also a statement.
"I'm shadow kissed" I blurted out ignoring his previous comment.
"Roza," Yay my nickname! "that does not mean you can go jumping out of windows." He said, walking up to me and wrapping his arms around me into a hug.
"That's not what I meant. The miscarriage - and I'm not saying I had one - but if that's what it was... I didn't cheat on you, but I became pregnant, and I'm shadow kissed is the only explanation I can come up with." I took in a breath trying to hold back tears, "I didn't cheat on you and i never will."
He just held me in his arms for what felt like days, but when he let go I instantly wanted him back.
He leaned back putting a hand on my cheek and looked deep into my eyes "You jumped out of the window." he said again, his lips twisted up into a smile.
I laughed and playfully punched him "Its only two stories, not a big deal."
he smiled still gazing deep into my eyes, then brought his face to mine and gently laying his lips on mine, making my knees almost buckle.
He broke away and grabbed my hand. "Come on," He said "Lets go explain to my family how you didn't cheat on me."
Okayym few things I really want to say before you finish this chapter, I didn't want to make Sonya into a bitch, I just wanted to make her the protective older sister. So, I thought if something like this happened to me where the only explanation could be that my brothers girlfriend cheated on him and he is being to oblivious to notice what would I do. And this was it. So don't hate her to much, she's just protecting her little bro. Also I've read alot of stories where Rose could have kids I just dont want her to ACTUALLY have kids (I feel like children ruin a story when the characters are this young...sorry its just me) anyyyyways. a seccond chapter up in two dayyyys. Im likin how this is goin! you guys are LUUUUUCKKYYYY!
