It was a peaceful night for the residents of the Western Capital. The night's air was cool while the sky was filled with tiny twinkling stars. The richest and most famous family in West City were enjoying the peace and quiet as the city came to a rest. The owners of the large home were sitting outside on the balcony of their bedroom, sipping on red wine while enjoying each other's company. Bulma loved spending time with her husband and although Vegeta was not the most romantic guy on Earth he did like seeing his wife happy and if he had to look at stars and listen to her babble about some new experiment that she was working on then so be it. Who knows when the next threat will emerge and disturb the peace?

While the couple were having a pleasant time their eldest child was pacing up and down in his room trying to figure out what to do about the dilemma that he was facing. The young prince found himself standing outside his sister's bedroom, debating whether it was a good idea to go to her for advice, especially since it was her best friend that he needed advice about. The purple-haired man finally gathered enough courage to knock on the door.

"What's up pretty boy?" Bulla chirped when she opened her bedroom door.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" Trunks asked with a raised eyebrow. Last time he saw his sister she was still in a bad mood because of her argument with Goten.

"Goten came by and apologised and he got me flowers." Bulla replied skipping towards her dresser. Trunks smiled at how childlike his sister could act sometimes and made his way into the turquoise, silver and white decorated room.

"See?" Bulla practically shoved the bouquet of pink tulips into his face.

"They're nice." Trunks replied absentmindedly looking around the room as if it were the first time he'd been invited in. Bulla eyed her brother curiously trying to figure out what his deal was.

"So to what do I owe this pleasure?" Bulla finally asked placing the vase back on her dresser. The heiress watched as her brother silently made his way over to her bed.

"I need to talk to you about something."

"So talk… unless I'm in trouble then I didn't do it." Bulla quickly added knowing full well she 'borrowed' his new Beats earphones without his permission and had yet to return it.

Trunks raised an eyebrow at her. "You didn't do anything… that I know of."

Bulla let out a breath of relief and went to join her brother on the bed.

"So spill it."

"First you need to promise me that what I'm about to tell you will stay between the two of us." Trunks said seriously.

Thinking that whatever Trunks was going to say was not actually as important as he made it out to be, Bulla rolled her eyes at him. "Yeah whatever."

"I'm serious okay. You can't tell anyone!" Trunks exclaimed.

Bulla's interests were peaked. She hadn't seen him act like this since his senior prank day.

"So are you gonna tell me or not?"

"Well you see… I uhm…the thing is…"Trunks started mumbling nervously. He didn't exactly know how to start.

"Out with it Trunks!" Bulla yelled.

Trunks knew that he was starting to get on Bulla's nerves. Patience was never one of his sister's strong points. Not wanting to aggravate her further he decided to just tell her.

"Okay, here it goes. I think I might be falling for… Marron." Trunks confessed. When the words finally came out of his mouth he actually felt like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. That was until he saw the expression on his sister's face.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all."

Bulla's eyes grew wide and her mouth hung open at her brother's confession. She never thought that she would hear those words come out of his mouth.

"OMG Trunks likes Marron! This is epic!"

"No way! This is so awesome!" Bulla shrieked pulling her brother into a tight bear hug.

To say Trunks was confused was an understatement. He had no idea why Bulla was so happy. She was in shock just a minute ago. He was sure she was going to swear at him or something. Maybe he just didn't understand women.

"You're taking it really well. I thought you'd be mad at me." Trunks stated.

Bulla released her brother from her embrace looking slightly baffled. "Why would I be mad? I've always wanted you and Marron to get together. Oh My Gosh Marron's going to be my sister in law!" Bulla screamed jumping up and down. "This is the best news ever!"

Trunks' eyes grew wide with terror. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down sis. I said I had feelings for her not that I wanted to marry her."

Bulla quickly stopped jumping up and down and smiled sheepishly at her brother. "Sorry. I got a little ahead of myself there."

"Ya think?"

Bulla shrugged her shoulders and sat back down next to him. "Since when have you felt this way?"

Trunks thought about it for a moment. "I guess it started at the dinner we had a few weeks ago. After that I kinda just started getting nervous whenever I'm around her. My heart starts beating faster every time I see her. She's all I think about. I can't get her out of my head."

Bulla looked understandingly at her brother. "I know the feeling."

"What? Who?" Trunks asked surprised. As far as he knew his sister didn't have a boyfriend. After all, the guy who dared to date his sister would have to go through him first.

Bulla quickly changed the subject. The last thing she wanted was for Trunks to find out that she was in love with his best friend. "Don't worry about it. So are you going to tell Marron?"

"I don't know." Trunks cried laying himself down on the bed. "That's why I came to you."

"What can I do?"

Trunks faced his sister. "You're her best friend. You know her better than anyone else. Do you think she'd be interested in me?"

Bulla wasn't sure how to answer the question. Sure she knew Marron had a crush on Trunks when she was younger and she's convinced that the two of them belonged together however she did just get out of a serious relationship. "Honestly… I don't know. M's always liked you but things are different now."

Trunks jumped up from the bed. "How come you never told me Marron liked me?" Trunks snapped.

"Hey don't get all mad at me. Marron was supposed to tell you herself. Besides you knew she had a crush on you."

Trunks groaned. "I knew she had a little teenage crush on me but I didn't know she actually liked me." Defeated he sunk back on the bed.

Bulla felt bad for her brother but she couldn't help teasing him. "Yeah you were really ignorant. It was quite embarrassing actually."

"I don't know what to do." Trunks said hopeless. "I want to tell her but what if she rejects me? What if it ruins our friendship?"

Bulla thought about for a second. "My opinion would be not to tell her. Not yet anyways."

"Why's that?" Trunks questioned.

"M just called off her engagement and I'm sure she's not ready for a new relationship just yet. I also don't want you to be her rebound."

"Your right. I don't know what I was thinking."

Bulla felt bad for her brother. He wore a forlorn expression on his face. The same expression she wore all those years ago when Goten first introduced Valese to her.

"You know what. Go for it." Bulla declared.

"What? But you just said…"

"What do I know? I'm 21 years old and my longest relationship was less than 3 months."

"But you made some valid points." Trunks reasoned.

"Okay here's one more valid point. If you don't tell Marron how you feel about her you will regret it for the rest of your life. The choice is yours."
