Hey guys! So I haven't updated this in a very long time. Sorry about that! Lots of different stuff has happened (including but not limited to; a writing slump, a black belt test, a katy perry concert, moving house, running a post office and various other things.) but I've missed writing this!
So, I plan on finishing this book. Maybe continuing onto book 3 depending on things. But, I have 23 chapters written, so that's 12 ready to go up after this one!
So, thanks for sticking around if any of you still have and I'm sorry for the really long wait.
Loki looked up at the Jedi Council that were all staring at him. He blinked, his mind a bit fuzzy. Why had he come here? Just another place he wasn't wanted or liked.
"What are you doing here?" Windu asked, the dark Jedi master narrowing his eyes, "And who is that?"
Loki tightened his grip on Hela, glaring at Windu, "She is my daughter." He spat at the hostile master who frowned as she leaned back into his seat.
There was silence for a moment, Loki not even trying to stand up because of the black haired girl in his arms. Finally someone broke the silence.
"Master Kenobi and Knight Skywalker and his Padawan." The goggle faced Jedi started, "Who killed them?"
Loki let out a mirthless laugh, "They are not dead." He said, shaking his head, "They are alive in another Realm, getting ready to fight against the full forces of Count Dooku's army." He said, his voice empty and he looked down at Hela again.
He did this.
"Impossible. We can't sense them." Windu said, making Loki's green eyes look up to him, going cold as his blue skin that seemed to have settled in patches on his body, most couldn't be seen, except for a patch on his right hand.
"I hid their… force signature, you call it." Loki said, his voice frustrated, "There is no time for this nonsense! I will be back, and when I return you have better to be ready for battle. I will take you to Midgard to do battle there!"
The Jedi Masters shared a look.
"Ready, we will be." Yoda said, a nod of his small green head, "More to this battle there is, than just droids."
Loki nodded his head, "There is a great possibility of fighting against Chitauri." He said with a note of impatience. He looked down at Hela's face again and brushed a hand down her face.
"Jag är ledsen, dotter." Loki breathed out, speaking in Asgardian, "Du har rätt. Som alltid. Min kära Hela."
He let go of her and laid her gently on the ground, and then he looked up at the Jedi, "I will be back for her. Take her somewhere safe." He told them and then he vanished in some wispy green smoke.
Asgard was quiet. It was always like this when her eldest son was away. She didn't know if it was because the people were waiting for their prince to return, or because Thor made the noise that she was missing himself.
Frigga let out a heavy sigh as she walked through to her room. Her pale eyes had a tone of sadness in them. Her eyes fell onto a table that held a vase of flowers. The vase was delicately crafted with colours of blue, green and red. She walked over it, trailing her hand over it.
It was a present gifted to her by her sons. Loki had made it, and Thor had gotten the flowers.
"What's this for?" Frigga asked, smiling as she held the vase and flowers in her hands.
Two children beamed up at her, "I was reading up about other realms, mother!" Loki said, his green eyes bright, "And on Midgard they have a day every year dedicated to their mothers!"
"Yeah! They get them morning meals in bed and presents to show how much they care about them." Thor quickly put in.
Loki nodded his head, his shoulders drooping slightly, "You got up before us so we couldn't bring you the morning meal." He admitted, sounding slightly sad.
Frigga smiled, "Oh, my sons. This is truly wonderful. Did you make this?" she asked, admiring the handcrafted vase with joy.
The two boys nodded their heads, "Yeah! I read how to make the vase and asked Freyja to help me."
"And I went out and picked the flowers!" Thor added in.
"And I found a spell so they won't ever wilt!"
Frigga placed the vase down on a table next to her and crouched down and hugged both of the children in one hug.
"I love it, my boys." She told them, as they returned the hug.
Frigga shook her head, shaking away the memories of when her sons were young and innocent. She let out another heavy sigh as she entered her chambers.
"Brooding doesn't suit you."
The voice made her freeze in surprise and then her eyes darted around, to land on a figure standing at the other end of her room.
"You should leave that to me." The figure paused, looking at Frigga's face, "Mother."
"Loki." She breathed out.
Dooku opened his eyes, the beeping of the com attracting his attention. He pressed the button and then kneeled down on one knee once the blue image of Sidious appeared.
"Darth Tryannus. Launch your attack." Sidious spoke.
"Yes, my lord." Dooku paused after a moment, "What of the Odinson?"
"If you see him, capture him. He had betrayed us."
Dooku paused. Without Loki, this battle might just go a lot harder than he had originally thought. Why would he betray them anyway? He had promised to kill that Eternal he wanted dead.
"Our new ally will send his army to assist yours, Tryannus. They should be arriving soon."
"New ally, my lord?"
"Yes. Thanos, the Mad Titan, the Eternal." Sidious said, a strange evil smile on the Sith Lords face, "He shall be coming with his army. Make him feel welcome."
And with that, the hologram fizzed out leaving Dooku to stand there. Feeling rather surprised. But at least he had the answer to his earlier wondering. Loki betrayed them, because they betrayed him.
As was the way of the Sith.
LINELINELINELINE
Ahsoka sat cross-legged on the floor, Padmé was sitting on the edge of the bed and Anakin sat next to her. Obi-Wan stood, leaning on the shut door and Rex was by a window.
/Master./ Ahsoka started, looking at Anakin, speaking in Twi-leki now, /I think I know what's going on with Loki./
/Go for it Snips./ Anakin responded and she nodded her head.
/Well. When Loki came to Midgard before, he did this thing to Clint which is why Clint hates him so much. He used this sceptre thingy and went into Clint's mind and changed things around in there to make Clint do as he wanted/ Ahsoka told him, making Anakin frown.
/Snips… Are you saying that you think someone's using mind control on Loki?/
/Not just someone, but I think it's Thanos./
/Why do you say that, Ahsoka?/ Obi-Wan asked, looking at the Togruta, /We know very little about Thanos./
/Just that Loki is terrified of him, and he tortured Loki for a long while./ Anakin added in.
/And he's trying to court Death./ Rex interjected, making everyone look at him.
/That's what Hela said when we were there, sir./ he said, looking at Anakin, who nodded his head in remembrance.
/So what's the plan?/ Ahsoka asked, looking at them with a small frown, /We gotta fix him./
Before anyone else could speak, a voice that sounded a lot like Steve sounded over the speakers in the room, "Avengers and Jedi Assemble on the top floor!"
"We need a better name for the all of us." Ahsoka said in Basic, "Padmé and Rex aren't Jedi." She said, and Anakin chuckled slightly as the five of them left the bedroom they were in and headed to the elevator to 'assemble' on the Top Floor.
It wasn't long until they got there, and all of the Avengers were already there, all suited up, even Thor who Anakin could sense anger and grief coming off of him and figured that someone had told him about Hela. The five then saw why they were all called up there.
The skies were darkened with droids.
Jag är ledsen, dotter. - I am sorry, daughter.
Du har rätt. Som alltid. - You are right. As always.
Min kära Hela – My dear Hela.
