Konnichiwa, minna-san! I'm back! Wow, it's really been like a year since I updated the last chapter. Anyways, sorry for not posting the updates, I have school project to do and I barely have the time to finish this story. So…prepare for yourselves because… this will be the last chapter of Miko's True Self.
In this chapter, I will be putting two different endings, so get ready your tissues for the upcoming emotional roller coaster. Please don't judge the endings, I actually enjoy writing and I want to try out different endings for this one. So I hope you enjoy and I will soon post another story if I have the time. Bye!

Karma: Heh-? I thought you were afraid of deciding Miko's fate. (sticks out tongue)
Author: No I'm not afraid, stop teasing me or I'll rip you apart. (glares)
Karma: Try me.
Author: (Starts chasing Karma)
Asano Gakushuu: Those two never change… (sweat drop)
Miko: Y-Yeah… (scratch head)
2 hours later…
Asano Gakushuu: Are you two still going on like that!? (stares at the author chasing the redhead)
Miko: Anyhow, please enjoy the story!
Author: Oh, and by the way… (stops chasing) I'll (maybe) only put that redhead jerk, my retarded OC and that good ol' Mr. I'm-So-Perfect-That-I-Will-Always-Win-But-Fail and Suzumi in the story, the rest…THEY DON'T EVEN STAND A CHANCE~~~~
Audience: EHHHHHHHHHHH?! Why?!
Karma: Redhead jerk, excuse me?! (clenching fists)
Asano Gakushuu: What-did you say?! (glaring)
Miko: RETARDED? You CREATED me! (pulls out a knife, ready to attack)
Author: Don't care~~~~(kicks Miko in her stomach, she is knocked out)
Author: Didn't I tell you guys? I said I will have my revenge, so this is the payback. (smiles innocently)
Audience: SO PETTY!
Author: No use to argue, I have already made my decision and that's that.
Audience: NOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~!

Silence. Miko doesn't feel any pain or some blood gush out of her. She slowly opens her eyes and she is shocked from a tragic view in front of her. Nicholas's eyes are soulless like a doll's eyes, the katana drops from his hand and the body begins to split in half. The lower body drops then the upper body. A great amount of blood flows out from the has-been-separated body.
Miko is afraid and her eyeballs are twitching hard, her hands tremble like crazy, slowly brings near to her lips and screams.
"N-Nicholas!" Nicholas's comrades are frightened and starts to run away, leaving their leader's body. However, they too have the same fate that is died from cutting the body in half.
This time, Miko can see it clearly. A strange claw-like blade pierces the bodies into half, maybe even more as the body parts scattered around and blood gush out from them whenever the claw-like blade cuts through.
And that claw-like blade comes from behind.
She slowly turns her head to the back, she saw the once called herself lonely and unwanted soul becomes a gigantic creature with several tentacles that shapes like a blade. Her face is horrifying-red eyes that are bleeding and a smirk that is longer than the way you smile. She even makes a demonic laugh that sends shivers down to Miko's spine.
"Well, well, well, I guess you are really easy to trick, Miss Soul Hunter~~~~" the female spirit laughs demonically and pierces one of her tentacles through Miko's lungs. She coughs out blood, the tentacle then burst her into pieces.
"…"
"No…way…"

"Please, someone, save us," Miko prays in her mind.
When Nicholas was about to slash Miko, his katana suddenly flies off from his hand and land into another spot. His hand which holds the katana bleeds.
"Don't you DARE-TOUCH HER!" a familiar voice comes from behind.
Miko opens her eyes and turns around and her lips curve upwards. A woman dressed in a blue dress that with a mauve cloak. On her hand is a crystal ball that has trapped a soul. And that soul is Kiseki Haruko.
Miko runs to her foremother and hugs tightly: "Okaa-san! Thank goodness you're here!"
The woman smiles to Miko and then glare daggers at Nicholas and his men behind. Nicholas gives Miko and the woman a snicker and says: "Huh, long time no see, Suzumi."
Suzumi gives him a blank stare and her voice sounds as cold as ice: "Oh, it's you Nicholas. I thought you were busy. It seems you have met Saki's daughter."
"Come on, Su. Don't be so cold. You know that you still love me, right?" said Nicholas, spreads out his arms sounds sarcastic.
"That is the past. After what you did to me is unbelievably unforgivable," Suzumi's eyes grows cold and stare into his eyes like she can still see the past and his soul. Miko is puzzled at their conversation: "Okaa-san, what-exactly did he do to you?"
Her bangs cover her eyes, she says nothing. Nicholas on the other side laugh out loud but dryly, then he inhales for a second and glares at the two of them: "Didn't she tell you? That I'm her ex-lover…"
Miko's eyes widen a bit and faces her foremother. Suzumi still doesn't say anything. Nicholas goes on: "Before she married to her dear husband, I was her favorite. But I love her too much, every time I see her, I just want to see her smile and touch her, and even further, make o-"
"ENOUGH!" Suzumi shouts and throws several knives from behind to Nicholas, but he dodges them easily, well not all of them, one of the knives cuts clean pass his face. A string of blood is formed on his skin and blood comes out from the scar. He touches it with his fingers, looks at them for a while grins wickedly at Suzumi: "Aww, no need to be so embarrassed. We've done it, and you can't change the past."
"TALK ONCE MORE-A ND I WILL SEND YOU TO HELL!" Suzumi mutters under her breath and gives the bearded man a death stare. Miko is stiffened by her foremother, this is the first time she sees her so angry-no, furious. The Suzumi in her heart is a sweet and loving mother that doesn't get mad at other people. Now, for someone like Nicholas, has angered her, and is completely overboard.
Miko understands what he was saying and lets out her Yandere face, gritted her teeth and hardly says out words: "…Pervert!"
Suzumi, still glaring at Nicholas says: "I don't care what happens in the past, for now stay away from my daughter."
Nicholas's grin slowly fades away and returns to his normal self: "Hmmph! If you wish then, let's go boys."
The troop then turns away from them and goes to the other direction. But they stopped when they heard a voice coming from behind.
"Wait!"
Nicholas clicks his tongue in annoyance and begins to turn around: "What do you wa-"
Without letting him finish his sentence, a blade cuts through his stomach. Nicholas's eyes widen, twitching while looking the one who attacks him.
The brunette slowly looks up and meets his eyes. He glares her with widen eyes and lets out a few words: "Y-You…mons…"
Her staring is frightful, enough to kill a person if looks could kill, the smile looks sweet yet dangerous.
She goes near to his ear and whispers: "This is what you get if you hurt my family…" After that, she slashes him into half. Then, she aims for the leader's comrades. The rain is still pouring and screams could be heard between the pitter-patter of the rain and the lightning.
"Miko, you shouldn't do that." Suzumi frowns.
"Well, he deserved it. All I did is to make your pain go away, Okaa-san," Miko looks at her with lust in her eyes and licks the blood from her hand.
Suzumi lets out a heavy sigh and smile at her. Shen then speaks, sounds worried: "You know it's very dangerous for you to be alone out here without your weapon. If I weren't here on time or didn't hear your pray, what will happen to you?"
"…" Miko yields her head.
"And, some of the souls are very devious and tricky if you're not careful. They will try to kill you and gobble you up without you knowing. Some of them may seem very nice or you'll feel bad for them at what they have told you their past but that doesn't mean you can let you guard down. For example, the spirit that is in this crystal ball." Suzumi shows her the crystal ball, inside, the spirit becomes a somewhat killing machine that wants to kill and spitting out foam, tentacles with blades try to break the ball but fail.
"…I'm sorry, I will be careful next time," said Miko.
Suzumi smiles sweetly and says: "Very well, then." She frowns a bit and says in a bitter tone: "Your form has already discovered, therefore I must send you to our world for a training. You can't be a normal girl anymore."
Upon hearing the shocking news, Miko is stunned, words stuck in her throat and can't come out.
She has mixed feelings inside. She will be very happy if she goes away because she won't have to deal with those Class-A's brats that give her fake smiles and everything. But then again, she won't be able to see her forefather and her lover/brother. She will also won't be able to see the redhead ever again. After all these years, Akabane Karma is the first friend that has get along with her. The first friend to hear out her ideas. The first friend to spend time together with her. She remembers all the time that she is around Karma more than anyone, even Gakushuu.
Her eyes snapped open. She realized that she has some feelings for that devil redhead. She can't keep her eyes off of him. She can't stop thinking about him. She can't stop loving him! She regrets not able to realize her own feelings towards Karma, now that she has to separate with him. Forever.
Miko doesn't know when will she be coming back or worst, will she be able to come back and meet him.
Suzumi pats her daughter's shoulders and hugs her: "I know this will be a big decision and the hardest way for you. But think about it, if you stay here, you will be in more danger as the spirits come and harm you. Do you want to put your friends and family in danger?"
"…No…"Miko's answer merely becomes a whisper.
"That's good to hear," Suzumi yields her head and inhales deeply before she speaks again.
"Now then, shall we go?" Suzumi opens a portal with her magic powers and walks in.
Miko stops in front of the portal and turns around. She saw the tall white building from a distance and she feels sour. Her tears mix with the rain so that she can't feel the sadness that she has right now.
Before she steps into the portal, she whispers: "Goodbye, Otou-san, Onii-chan…Karma."
She steps inside and the portal becomes small and disappears.
10 years later…
A woman with golden brown hair has cut short with a white cloak wraps around her body sits in the middle of the flower field. She is smiling sweetly while making a flower tiara with various flowers. The sun shines on her makes her appearance looks even more lovely.
From a distance, a strawberry blonde girl runs towards the woman and shouts: "Lady Miko!"
The woman turns around and greets her: "Ahh, good morning Lily."
The strawberry blonde named Lily huffs and puffs for a while because of all the running. She settles down and asks her: "Aren't you going to meet your family, milady?"
Miko thinks for a second, then stands up and puts the flower tiara on her subordinate's head and squeals: "Oh you look lovely in that tiara!"
Lily blushes and scratches her head and says: "Thanks, milady."
Miko answers her question with her back against her: "Maybe, it's been years since I saw them." She smiles genuinely and opens a portal with her magic powers.
"Let's go," she gestured the latter. They both enter to Miko's world, the place they landed on is none other than her old school-Kunugigaoka Junior High.
She smiles and inhales the air, and exhales slowly, she thought to herself: "It's been a while guys."
The tick-tacking of the sound of shoes and laughers come from the back. Miko turns around, her eyes slightly grow big.
She saw a blonde and a certain redhead cling onto each other's shoulders and talk briefly like old pals. This is a first for Miko to see both of them seem communicate to each other very well when they are like enemies back then.
The two man stops and gasps when they saw the girl who disappeaedr without saying goodbye has come back.
The three of them stare at each other for a while. Then, they broke the silence with laughers.
Miko smiles happily at them: "Onii-chan, Karma…"
"I'm home…"
