Chapter 8: Team Starbreaker X
Previously...
"Ah the smoke is clearing and..."

As the final dust had settled, everyone leaned closer to see the result, only to see...
"I-it's a tie! King and Aurora! Stadium Outs!" No one spoke. Everyone was stunned. And the question on everyone's mind; Who goes through?

"As bey rules apply, I can decide what happens and I think you can all agree that both these talented bladers deserve spots on the team. So, as it stands... Aurora and King are our new members of Team Nth America!"

It was if another explosion hit the stadium. Utter silence and then for both players. Cheers for Nth America. It was incredible.
For everyone but one.
"No way! I'd prefer to go again! No fair!" King jeered. He started jumping up and down until he noticed Aurora nearby.
"Thank you for an amazing fight King. You are clearly too strong for me." She smiled extending her hand.
"Yea, I guess I am." He clasped her hand. "But you were pretty close." They both started rolling in fits of laughter.

Later that day...
"Oh yeah! We all made it!" Masamune and King cheered. Walking out of the bey stadium, Masamune, King, Toby, Zeo and Aurora all began heading for the airport.

"I'm so excited. This is the first time I've ever done something this big." Aurora said walking next to Toby. Although there was space between them, Toby felt really close next to her. Ever since he and the others made the team, he felt a tighter knot in his chest. 'Could one person really do something like this to me?'

"So," Zeo questioned, "what's our new team name?" Everyone stopped and thought. "Well, what was the old team name?" Aurora asked. Everyone's smiles faded. She looked around confused. Zeo explained to her why it was a touchy subject. After a pause she persisted.

"But you shouldn't shun that stuff away. You should improve from it! Instead of Starbreaker, why don't we add something to it, ya know, like an improvement. How about...Starbreaker X?"

"Oh he'll yeah! It's perfect!" Masamune cried. All anyone could was laugh.
"If Masamune likes it then I'm good" Zeo replied
"Same here." King jumped.
Toby modded and smiled. "Starbreaker X it is."

And as they walked towards their futures, Toby couldn't help but think 'I wonder what new adventures we'll have with Aurora around...'

Mason
As the bladers walked towards the airport, Mason watched them from a distance. Standing behind him stood two cloaked figures.
"So that is the child Mason? She Is younger than expected."
"Yes Briar."
"Briar, why are we wasting our time watching?! We should be trying to gain her trust!"
"Silence Serena. Our time will come. And besides, no one will trust us. We are a team in this frivolous tournament. But she will choose soon..."
"Yes Briar, Serena. Our time is sooner than you expect. The tournament begins in three days. By then i expect at least two of them will have been discovered. And then, our plan can really begin."
"You have done well Mason. I'm proud."
'But would Addison?' Mason thought as the bladers faded from view.
