Hey! It's me again. This story is close to ending soon. Maybe in two to three more chapters. Truth is that I lost interest in writing his story, it feels like it has drag on slowly. The next chapters will be short, there may or may not be an epilogue because I was planning on making a sequel to this story and it will be better. ^~^
11. Weak Point
Lucy looked up at the stone monsters, shock and terror written on her face. "W-what are those things?" She asked.
"They're called Stonehead. A monster made up of stone and are very hard to defeat. Each monster has a different weak point and it is difficult to locate." Chan said. He walked up beside with an irritated look. "Should be glad that there's only two guarding the cave."
"Are they that hard to take down. No problem at all. I'll have them down in no time." Erza said. She went to take a step forward, but was stopped by an arm cutting her off.
"No." Ginu said. "We mustn't make any sudden movement towards them. They may not look big, but they can run pretty fast for a monster made out of rocks."
"So, then how are we going to approach them, Ginu?" Wendy asked the Lighting Angel slayer.
"I'll answer that one." Noni said. "First, we split up our teams and attack from the side. Un…Lucy, the Fire Dragon, sorry, and the one with the dark hair, will be on my team. Erza, Ginu, Chan, and the Air Dragon, sorry again, will be on another team."
"Sounds good to me." Erza said. "Now that the teams are split up equally, what is the plan?" She asked the Angel slayer.
"Okay, my team will take down the one on the left, Erza your team will take down the one on the right. We attack from the side. Am I clear?" Noni said. Everyone nodded their heads. "Alright then, let's go take down some rocks!"
With that they split up and went around the monster. "Okay, um….." Noni said as she looked at Natsu. "Sorry, but I forgot your name."
"It's Natsu and that's Gray." Natsu said correcting Noni.
"Got it! Natsu you attack first, then Gray attack second right after Natsu's attack. Lucy, you and I are going to attack after them. Use whatever spirit you can we will need all the help that we can get." Noni said. Lucy nodded her head. "Then what are we waiting for! Attack!"
Natsu ran to the monster's side with his fists ablaze. "Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" The attack hit the monster on the side making the rock stumble back in surprise. It let out a loud shriek that sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
Gray then attacked next using his ice make cannon. The monster seemed unaffected by the attack and swatted at Gray. He jumped out of the way just in time as the monster's hand came in contact with the side of the mountain.
"Solid Script! Double Blade!" Noni shouted. Two swords as big as Lucy appeared and smashed themselves against the monster. The monster blocked on of the swords by using its own stone sword. "Damnit!" Noni cursed.
"Open gate of the Maiden, Virgo!" A pink haired maid stood in front of Lucy. Virgo turned to look at Lucy with an expressionless face.
"Punishment time, princess?" Virgo asked.
Lucy shook her head. "No, not right now." She said. "I need you to create a big hole underneath one of the monster's leg." She pointed at the monster who was walking towards them slowly.
Virgo said nothing as she dug a hole underneath her. Next thing you know the monster had step forward failing into a hole that Virgo had just dug. "Will this do, princess?"
"Yes, thank you, Virgo. You can go now." Lucy said. "Open gate of the Lion, Loke and open the gate of the Bull, Taurus!" The two appeared side by side in front of her. "Taurus try to get rid of that sword and Loke attack while it's still down." Lucy demanded.
"Moo! I'll do anything you wish, Lucy-sama!" Taurus yelled. He took his ax and sliced the stone sword. The monster cried out in rage and threw the spliced sword to the ground. It tried to get its foot out of the hole, but Loke stopped it by using his Regulus Impact.
The monster swatted Loke and Taurus making them hit the side of the mountain. It stood up with a loud shriek and moved to pick Lucy up.
"Oh no you don't Rocky!" Noni yelled. "Solid Script! Lightning Strike!" A flash of lightning came down on the monsters arm making it real back. "Solid Script! Triple Arrow!" A bow with three arrows placed themselves in her hands. "Solid Script! Flames!" The arrows burst into flames while Noni drew the bow back. She released the arrows hitting the monster in the chest and the arrows exploded.
"Ice Make Freeze Lancer!" "Fire Dragon Roar!" Gray and Natsu attacked at the same time. The firey-lance hit the monster in the chest where Noni's first attacked it. The monster cried out in pain this time.
"I think we found it's weak point. Keep hitting the chest and it will be done." Noni said. She pulled her sword out of it holster and slicing the front of the monster. It cried out in pain and tried to swat at Noni. Luckily she was faster than the rock and moved out of the way.
Natsu attacked the monster using his fire dragon iron fist. Gray had made a sword and slashed the monster's chest. Lucy attacked it with her whip, while Loke and Taurus attacked it together. The finial blow was caused by Noni running her sword in the middle of its chest.
The monster's glowing green eyes faded to black causing the rock monster to crash forward. "We did it guys!" Noni said. She gathered the three into a big hug. "With a team like this that monster was easy to take down!" She exclaimed.
Unlike Noni Erza didn't have a plan on taking the monster down. She just told them to hit it with their best shot and go from there. She had equip into her Black Wing Armor and was slashing the monster anywhere that was open.
Chan put his hands on the ground shouting, "Fire Art! Lava Geyser!" The ground shook and a huge geyser of molten lava shot up underneath the monster. It cried out as it fell on its back. "Yeah, got him."
The monster got up ending Chan's little happy rant. Ginu shook his head. "Chan, when will you learn." He took a step forward and wedged his sword into the ground. "Thunder Sky! Dancing Lightning!" He held the sword as the earth crackled with lightning. It headed toward the monster travel up the legs to the head. It cried out in pain and swatted down at Ginu. He took his sword and slashed the palm of the monster. It cried out again holding its injured hand.
"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy yelled. Her attack hit the monster right under it's rib making the monster cry out. The sound it made was different from the first monster, it sounded like a high pitch tornado siren.
"Ha, good job girl, you found its weak point. Now it will be easy to take it down." Chan exclaimed.
"Let's combine magic power, Chan." Ginu said. Chan nodded his head and together they chanted. "Thunder Art! Lightning Fire! And a beam of fire surrounded by lightning hit the monster in the side. It cried out as one of its green eyes went out.
"Damnit!" Chan cursed. "This monster has two weak points and that means it will be harder to find. Shit!"
"Calm down, Chan. We'll find it, at least its not bigger and has three weak points." Ginu stated.
Chan just nodded as Wendy walked over to Ginu. "Um…I think I know where the second weak point is." She said bashfuly.
"Where." Was all Ginu said.
Wendy pointed to its neck. "It keeps scratching its neck, and I remember reading something about the rock monster saying it will show where it's weak point is located by scratching it."
"You're right girl! Guys we need to attack the right side of its neck." Chan shouted. With that said everyone attacked with what they got Erza sliced with her sword, Wendy used her Sky dragon magic, Ginu and Chan both used their Angel slayer magic.
The monster fell with a heavy thud and its remaining eye faded to black. "Yahoo! We did it you guys!" Chan yelled.
"Can you be louder, Chan?" Noni asked. Her and the rest of the team met up with the others.
"Yes." Chan said. He stuck his tongue at her and she shook her head.
"I swear it feels like you're the youngest even though I am." Noni said. "Maybe joining a guild will help with your stupidness."
"Whatever, lets just go get the gem before Dark Haven spreads more." Chan said. With that said everyone entered the dark cave.
