Republic City, a city you grew up in, now was to under attack soon, by Kuvira. That cold hearted tyrant, coming to take a land that everyone shared, your eyes couldn't be filled with such angst pain, all the families that lived here would have to flee from their homes and everything that they had. Did she not see the destruction she was causing among everyone?

Of course she didn't, why would she.

Staring out the window of your empty room, it wasn't empty just lonely and...cold. Even with your firebending there was no way it could warm you right now. Sighing, folding yours arms tightly. Feeling the fear starting to slowly boil inside, for the first time you would be apart of the team in helping to defend the city, no longer on the sidelines.

A dream you have been waiting for, for the longest. Your time to shine with the others was now at hand, you would be excited if again not for the fear that crept its way around you, swallowing you up. Your heart raced like a beating drum, surely it would pop right out of your chest at any given moment. Placing a hand over it, you do your best to settle your nerves, but it didn't seem to work. Thinking back to everything, from then to now all obstacles you had to over come to get to were you are now. Just seem to fade, how could fear grip you so much?

You, Kashi Bei Fong, Granddaughter of Avani Bei Fong older sister of Toph Bei Fong and eldest daughter of the Bei Fong family and granddaughter of the Fire Lord Zuko. Both powerful figures in their own right, from everything you had been told about Avani and of your grandfather. From all the pictures you saw of them, standing tall and proud, nothing could knock them down at all. So it seemed to you, you gained so much admiration from just being the presence of their massive picture that hung upon the wall of the Fire Nation Palace

Just standing there, you felt so...so insignificant. Just like now, yes their blood flowed through your body. But that was just it, just their blood none of their personality traits that made them become idolized and beloved by many. Sure you had a business that so many adored, but that's just it. It was nothing but a business, just a business. Which everyone had grown to know you for, and not to mention being Princess Kashi. Those two titles where that's it titles. Medicore, titles with no sense of power behind them. Nothing like your grandparents, nor your Auntie or even cousins, let's not forget your family as well and even friends.

They have made their mark in the books or upon others. When saying their name commanded respect, nothing at all like you. Sure others addressed you as Princess or Tenzin's daughter out of respect no doubt for the position those you knew held, heck even as The Avatar's Best Friend.

All of those things, angered you but also made you feel useless. Eyes weighting heavily, despite the praise your father gave you weeks ago, it filled you with a new sense of titlement. Still it was not enough, you still felt empty and sense of longing. Your reflection looks at you, with judging and shameful eyes. Which added more to your self doubt.

Your reflection suddenly changed into your 14 year old self, that looked at you with those meek eyes. That pierced your soul, giving you some sort of revelation that and the voice of Prince Wu on the radio. Words that resonated with you, bring you no snapping you out of your state. Washing away every single doubt you had flooding your mind. The words made your younger self vanish from your sight, and there stood there burning confidence eyes. Ready to take on anything, knowing they were an equal member of the team and just as valuable.

Skills that have been locked away, now ready to come out and burn with raging passion. Blood now hot and boiling. The blood of both Fire Lord Zuko and Avani Bei Fong combined into one single person. You could feel it, pumping through the very core of your body. With an assertive look in your eye, you turn your back to the pointless reflection.

Thanking silently to Prince Wu for his words, you grip your robe aggressively and ripe it off. You where ready now, ready to fight the fight. Do all you could, make a name for yourself. Shine bright like a Dragon's flame or even brighter. With your flames, you would be heat of the battle, fight to your very last breath. Scorch any enemy, hold your ground like a mountain but burn worse than the sun.

You would be the embodiment of fire itself, you felt your grandfather's pride and your grandmother's unyielding spirit fill you up. You zip up, your zipper to your outfit. Hearing it stop, you where now ready. This time you would be on the front lines, no longer behind it. A fierce look in your eye, to remind yourself that you where just a force to be reckon with like the others. Finally you found yourself, the you had belonging to search for. Sliding your twin dao blades into their sheaths, securing them. Again with another fierce look you now where ready and leave. Just as your phone rang.

With city now almost evacuated, Tenzin, The President, Lin and team Avatar all on Air Bender Island. The team was headed to Oogie to try and even the playing field with Kuvria and take a surprise attack approach. Tenzin, who did not want them to do so, unlike the President who felt it was a good idea. Hastily make their way to the Flying Bison that waited for them.

Tenzin and the other two watch them climb ontop of the creature. Korra quickly double checks that everything was alright, she looks to Tenzin who returns her gaze understanding yet at the sametime wishing she would reconsider.

Holding the reigns, the Avatar gets ready to go when...

Lin hears and feels quick running footsteps approach, that moved so quickly she didn't have time to assimilate who or what it was. Seeing the distracted and alert on her face, the others look ready to strike. Each one in offense, whoever it was surprised them when the figure sprints towards them and jumps up in what seem like in a blink of an eye. Before Korra could even counter their movement, they flip up and land in the carrier part/ saddle.

They land down firm and delicately. A calm face, yet burning eyes that projected assertiveness of power.

There you stood ready, Lin had to stop herself from gasping. Which she quickly does, she looks at her younger cousin with pride, there you stood ready to go like a true Bei Fong. Dressed in off the shoulders burnt orange and brown Cheongsam that you wore as a two piece, the top part and the long skirt both separated exposing your mid section , it was split up along the sides all way to your hip, which you wore dark gray almost black kapris tights and black shoes. Your hair fully up now in high tight pony tail. Your twin daos attached to your back with your whip on the side. Ready to head out.

Unlike your cousin who looked at you with pride, Tenzin was the opposite. Before he could even express his objection to what you clearly wanted to do, you sat down with the group by Korra and quickly grab reigns, and with one quick snap. Oogie flew off.

All eyes look around for any sign of Kuvria and her army, flying for a couple of hours that led to a full day. Your eyes keenly looked for anything amiss, even trying to feel any sort of body heat, encase she was trying to hide her fleet.

Nothing.

You saw nothing at all, just the others. Korra took the stirring, keeping your eyes focused moving a bit when you bumped into someone. Looking up, you see it was Mako, though you remained calm. It could not be said about him, he looked at you flustered and surprised that he bumped into you. Though behind that, you saw something else. Something that made you feel hurt, but you didn't have a chance to figure it out why. Nor did Mako have time to react to the hurt look he saw flash in your eyes.

Because Bolin spots the army, yelling to everyone getting their attention. All eyes look in the direction of the earth bender and to everyone's horror and surprise, see the army along with the weapon. If one could call it a weapon, it stood at least over 20 or 25 stories tall coated in metal and moved with sluggish and power stride.

The weapon.

Kuvria's weapon that marched straight towards the city, it was a huge mecha suit with some sort of canon attached to its wrist. This just could not be real, it just couldn't. What a monstrosity, with such power. You could not help but to gasp, terrified. And it only became worse, the suit stops and turns in the direction of the group. Aiming its arm canon, Bolin knowing what was to come next panics and ushers Korra to move fast.

Just as the Avatar directs the bison to move, the fire was shot from the weapon. Nothing but pure deadly energy came from it, just narrowly missing everyone. Korra almost lost control, but she quickly regains it, yelling to everyone to hold on. She manages to out maneuver the second fire and hurries back to the city to warn everyone on what her eyes just saw.

Just as quickly as Korra fled away, she returned with the graving news upon Kuvria to everyone, Tenzin, Lin, The President, and Suyin and her family. Relying the the information on what all of you witnessed. This came to an alarming surprise to the others. Action clearly needed to be taken, to evacuate the rest of the people out, Asami suggested everyone go to her factory to see if her Hummingbirds would be ready. Which Suyin and your twin cousins would accompany her with. While Korra would go to the front of the line and warn Iroh, which you agreed to join her.

"Kashi."Tenzin objects, you and Korra stop before running off. You look at him, your woeful father. Who pleaded to you with his eyes not go, understanding his concerns. You look at him apologetically for a second, but your eyes quickly shift back to being firm. He saw you discarded his protest, even if you did apologize. Turning you back, you look to Korra.

"Let's go."you tell her, she nods her head and the two of you hurry off.

Mako watches you leave, he opens up his mouth. To shut it quickly.

You and Korra reach Iroh and his army, which he had ready to go. He was surprised to see you here, but did not complain nor badger you about it. He just accepted it. Korra quickly tells him about Kuvria and that the two of you where here to help him and his army to take down the suit. Which he greatly accepted.

Everyone in place, the Airbenders in the city upon the tall buildings, while you, Iroh and Korra stood at the front to provide any sort of offense or defense if necessary. But it soon came be seen that it would be futile. The weapon makes it appearance, all eyes look up at it. It was more massive up close, you felt yourself being buried by its presence. The power of the thing was just too great, to which Kuvria demonstrated. She aimed the weapon upon the city and released its power.

The devastation that it caused, left everyone speechless without any words. You begin to feel yourself start to tremble, what evil had this mad woman brought? Looking back at it, though ready you felt as if your spirit left the body floating aimless to an unknown destination. To be pulled back, by Korra and Iroh.

Coming back to your senses, you look at her. She could see it in your eyes, the second thoughts that begin to start firing away in your mind. Feeling her squeeze your shoulder for assurance. Her eyes sympathize with you, even if they remained focused.

"We have to leave."she tells you.

Hearing her words, made you snap out of it fully. Realizing what she meant, you quickly turn to Iroh. Who nods his head in agreement, your eyes widen shock. Before you could even protest this, Korra grabs hold of your wrist and pulls you with her. Having no choice, your legs does as she said and run with her away. Turning your back upon the general. He watches the two of you leave, he smiles with satisfaction both would be safe. More so, his cousin would be safe. Despite knowing what was to behold him, he and his men had to surrender. Because if not, then there would be more graves than bodies. He saw the look in his cousin's heartbroken eyes, that screamed out to him. He couldn't help but force himself to chuckle just a bit at the humor. Even though she looked so strong and brave, her tenderness shone through at the fearful prospect of her loosing him. She hadn't changed, not one bit.

You and Korra reach Asami's factory, while Korra informed everyone on the failing plan. Your mind lingered to your cousin, on what might befall him right now. Though you didn't hear the sound of the canon go off, some how made you feel uneven. War was ugly, you never understood, even when Zuko told you about it and Katara. Everyone ends up loosing someone, and now you felt yourself having lost Iroh. An emptiness seem to begin to form in you, that added pain. Unbearable pain, if only you could or would have stayed then maybe...just maybe.

Heart heavy, soul feeling crushed. This feeling you didn't like, it was starting to eat you up inside. Though proud you where no longer on the side lines, you really were not expecting this to happen or at least nothing close to it. You do your best to stay strong, that you hide in somewhat corner to conceal and comfort yourself of this ordeal your psyche was handling.

Unsure how you would handle this, if it came to you informing and confronting both Zuko and Izumi on what happened to Iroh. Then again, what if the same thing happened to the others. Dear GOD! Not that, anything but that your mind started to lay out a image of everyone beaten on the ground with Kuvria standing triumphantly over them. Something gripped your heart, and gripped it tightly that it shot pain through you. Causing you to yelp silently, feeling stinging tears beginning to form. Using your long sleeve you wipe the tears before they could fall.

This was no place for shedding tears, you couldn't do that now. Not when everyone else was remaining strong and deligent. Any room for this type of emotion would surely be your down fall. You worked to hard, you didn't want the others to be concern with you, when there was a something much bigger to care about. Sucking up everything, you inhale sharply to jolt a bit feeling someones hand on your shoulder.

Your recation startled them. Turning you find Mako. You both look at eachother for a few seconds before you advert your eyes and regain your firm look.

"Yes?"your voice held no sense of tender emotion in them.

Mako could tell, he could see something was deeply troubling you. Even if you did mask it. He places a gentle hand on your shoulder, his normal tight look soften. With his other hand, he slowly places it upon the side of your face, turning it to look at him. You resisted at first, but begin to allow him to move it. He saw the hard look in your eyes begin to melt away when...

"Kashi."Opal sudden appearance made Mako stop and quickly take his hands back he stood stiffly. Your cousin comes over to you, she looked worried and concerned about something. Quickly you push everything you felt aside and go to her. Opal runs into your arms.

"Opal, what's wrong?"your voice overflowed with great worry.

"..."Opal breaks the hug, and just grabs you by the wrist yanking you away with her."Korra brought back Baatar."

Hearing that, made your eyes hiss venomously. Family or not you had it out for him. A disgusted look came over, she leads to where the others where and Korra was integrating him. Which did not seem to work.

That weasel was not going to break, even when his mother tried to talk to him. He turned the other cheek, disregarding every single word, which greatly pained her. Which was just enough to push you over the edge and get him to 'talk.' Narrowing your eyes at him, you start to match over when Korra beats you to it. This time her words had an effect, with a threatening glare and a tone that surely meant business. Telling him, she would take him away from Kuvria and he would never see her again. Unless he tells her to stop.

Those words hit a nerve, a nerve that made Baatar Jr. Come to his senses, you could see the painful look in his eyes at the mere thought of it. It broke him, and he caved in, he agreed to the terms. Using a radio, he contacts the mad woman and tells her to stop. Expressing his feelings to her and what the two of them could do, run and leave the place.

What everyone thought was going to turn the tables, when Mako spots out the window. The weapon turning and taking aim at the factory and fires. Decimating the building and everything and everyone in it.

Sorry for the lack of verbal talk.
