Chapter 10: YOU LIVED WHERE?!

Brittany stretched her tired muscles after being awaken form her Cryosleep. The Sangheili Arbiter was quite surprised that she of all people had no fear of a HALO "Your father won't be pleased he for one like most have bad memories of the instillation." said the Arbiter

"True, but Valhalla was cleared of the Flood issue before anyone set foot on it."she said

"What do you mean?"asked a young male Minor

"My AI partner, she was the monitor of the instillation. She whats the word I am looking for? Exterminated with extrema prejudice."she said.

The Arbiter smirked at that "At least your partner was smart about it."said The Arbiter

"Aren't I the lucky one."she smirked.

Valhalla was in front of them as her father and the others came onto the bridge "Here we go again."said her father and Jun.

She laughed "Sorry to disappoint you two but I was born and raised here till the Director sent me away to ONYX."she said

"YOU LIVED ON THAT?!"bellowed Dare
"HALO Instillation 17 code name Valhalla is a flood free ring."she said

"THAT RING IS VALHALLA?!"exclaimed her father.

Cortana giggled "Isis cleared out the flood threat 400 years ago give or take 10 years."said Cortana

She pulled the chip from her helmet and put it into the slot "I was wondering when you were going to say something."she said.

Isis smiled "You know me I have more manners than some, ALPHA has been informed we have arrived unfortunetly he has an issue."said Isis

"What did he say to Tex this time to send her over board?"she asked

"More like what META did to him."said Isis.

She snorted a laugh "Looks like I need to get my ass down there and calm the great white down before he hurts himself AGAIN."she said.

They all waited as Brittany headed down to the ring world alone "She is the only one who can keep him in check."said Isis

Fredric jumped "Damn John, what are you trying to do give me a heart attack?" asked Fred

Even if Fred didn't pick up on it he did there was a hint of humor in chief's voice "Jorge, what made my hell raising child leave the freelancers?"asked Chief

"Love mostly, she was willing to give her live for a friend to protect her. After your little romance with Samantha Director Church made it a standing order that if a Freelancer was to Romance with a UNSC spartan he would send Georgia to execute them. She lied for a friend to protect her, at the time the one in question was with Jun over there."said Jorge.

Chief shook his head "Like I said like her mother."said John

"Well I had a feeling from the first time the two met they were a match made in the shadows."added Jorge

"Jorge, Natty and I had problems prior to the incident. What really ended it was when Georgia was sent after us. Brittany not only gave her life, but the life of hers and Natty's brothers child."he said.

Everyone in the room looked at him, he still blamed himself for everything that happened to her and he was not going to give up in getting her to smile like she used to.

She dove behind the pillar, what had META so pissed off? She looked at Wiggs "What has him so pissed off?"Wiggs asked

META lowered his brute blaster "Georgia took her, he wants your head Brittany."said Sigma.

She walked over to META slowly "I will get her back, but she would want you to keep your head in the game and help me save her. You know this just as Sigma does."she said

"Will NOBLE help?"Sigma asked

"Only if you want them to."she said.

Maine let out a low pitch whine "Its my fault that you and Jun got hurt, Jun was my teammate before you replaced me he was my friend and I let you both get hurt."said Maine

"Thom it wasn't your fault I knew the dangers, Jun blames himself for my short blindness and the child that belonged to North."she said.

A rifle dropped behind her and she closed her eyes, Nathan just found out the hard way "Why didn't you tell me?"Nathan asked

"Kinda hard to do when your fighting to get your father out."said York

"Worst timing ever of all time then just like now."said Washington.

Maine removed his helmet, Thom had gone through hell on that ship barely surviving it only to lose his voice. She did what she could to save him, but it could have been worse Thom had tears in his eyes worried for Natty, for her and for Jun. She looked at him "I have stakes in this too. You know as well as I do I have my own sins to attone for. Nat, I'm sorry I never told you."she said

"Mama, is that why you took me in is because you lost your own child?"asked Wiggs

"In a way yes and in a way no, your mother knew I was lost and would be able to care for you so you can make your own choices. I admit I was nervous at first, and you know as well as I do that I and Jorge were the only to at the time who understood an innocent life and wouldn't stoop to the level of others."she said

"I never knew you had this pain mama, why didn't you talk about it?"asked Wiggs

"It was my choice to carry the burden."she said

"All daddy wants to see is your smile again, he blames himself for all that has happened to you."said Wiggs

"At the time I didn't know I was pregnant it was only after did I find out. I will not rest until Georgia and the Director pay."she said.

Maine nodded and smiled "Then count us in."said Sigma

"You two really have bonded beyond that of a AI and Spartan."she said

She looked at Wiggs and then the damage, at least he didn't take out a building "I don't know about you, but it feels good to be home."she said

"Then you would want your armor."said Junior.

She went inside and saw her Sangheili Field Marshall armor that had been modified to fit her body and form perfectly "I can hear it now form my father 'GET THAT OFF AND PUT YOUR OTHER ARMOR BACK ON' yep that is what he is going to say."she said

"Worst timing to be a father then."said Washington.

They left her alone as the Female Sangheili came into the room to help her with her armor as will as Tila a female Brute Chieftain "Tila its been to long."she said

"It has Brittany, when word reached us that you died in battle we wept tears of sorrow. But when we heard the Forerunners revived you we cried out and wept for joy. Welcome home battle sister."said Tila

"Feels good to be home, but there is a problem that we need to prepare for."she said

"First lets get you into your armor then you can tell us about this new mate of yours."said Tila.

Wiggs went to enter and as soon as she saw Tila she pulled out her .45s "Easy Wiggs she is a friend."she said

"Sorry mom after what happened on Reach..."said Wiggs

"Reach? You were on Reach? We heard the loss of life on both sides were great."said Tila

"Reach is were I fell, I took out ¾ of the heretic attack force. The Sanghilious Arbiter ended my suffering. They left me to die in pain and he released me form it."she said

"What of this demon with a skull who fought on Reach?"asked a sangheili female.

She smirked "So even his reputation is known here."she said

"That will stroke his ego."said Wiggs dryly

"You little one your rare of your kind why protect Akira for?"asked Tila

"She raised me as her own when my mother died."said Wiggs

"Your like your mother Akira, she took in a handful of Uggony younglings recently."said Tila.

She froze her mother was alive? How could this be? Her mother was killed she died in her father's arms. She looked at Tila "How is this true shes dead?"she asked

"Her and one other were resurrected here."said Tila

"My dad is going to keel over form a heart attack."she said.

She reached for her helmet and put it on "Isis inform the Arbiter all is ready here."she said

"On it."said Isis back in her Monitor form.

As soon as the Phantom doors opened they were reeling in shock Spartans, Elites, Brutes, and grunts in a mixed patter were lined up on each side of the ramp. At the end was Valhalla's Arbiter with a Grunt leader as well as a Brute Chieftain who was shockingly a female with Brittany in...Field Marshall armor? Well it was NOT UNSC issued armor, but the way it looked on her...He checked his chin for drool "What the hell is my daughter waring?"asked Chief

"I'd say modified Field Marshall armor."said the Arbiter with a chuckle

"She looks good in it."said Buck

"Careful Buck thats treefrog property."said Romeo.

He smirked "On behalf of those who live here Welcome to Valhalla."said Junior.

Brittany smirked they were in her back yard now and Emile was going to be the first to find out.
