Chapter 10: Drunk Actions, Sober Thoughts

Olivia was having a hard time concentrating on work for the past week. Every day she came to OPA, she just went through the motions to survive the day. Harrison, Abby, Huck, and Quinn continued to serve their clients like normal with little input from Olivia. They understood that she was going through something and did their best to leave her alone unless they really needed her. Olivia was aware of this but she felt bad because she was allowing her personal life to affect her professional one.

Besides still being mad at Jake, she couldn't deny one thing. She really missed Jake. There were plenty of times she thought about picking up the phone and call him. Allow him to explain himself and try to move past this mess. So they can start planning their wedding. Continue to look for that two story, four bed rooms, and three baths house they wanted to have. Get back to enjoying each other in ever y sense of the word. However, Olivia's stubbornness was preventing her from reaching out to him.

"Liv," Huck said standing at Olivia's office door.

She looks up at him, "You can come in."

Huck stepped into her office and closed the door behind him before taking a seat.

"Everything alright, Huck?"

"Yes."

"Ok," she said.

Olivia knew Huck was there for a reason because it wasn't like him to come in her office and just sit there.

"Is Jake the reason?" he finally asked.

"The reason for what?"

"You've been quite this week. Quietness is good in most cases but not when it comes to you it's not. Your silence always means that you're struggling with something."

"It's that obvious?"

"To me, yes. Isolation is another sign too."

Huck knew her like an open book because he was one of the few people she allowed herself to be vulnerable with.

"I am struggling with a few things," she said in disappointment.

"Do you need a hug?"

Olivia nodded. They both stood up and met each other at the side of her desk. Huck placed his arms around Olivia and she hugged him back. His embrace wasn't a strong one but it provided the comfort she needed. She held onto him tightly, which shocked her but she was thankful for this simple gesture. However, before Olivia could end their hug she found herself crying. She allowed her emotions to take over for a bit. No longer pretending for herself or the world in that moment. It wasn't long before she stopped crying and stepped away from Huck. They both took their seats without a word. Olivia reached into one of the desk drawers for some tissue. After she wiped her tears away, she finally answered Huck's question.

"He is the reason," she began. "Jake did something horrible and I'm not sure if I can forgive him. And if I do, I don't know how long it's going to take for me to get to that point.

Huck didn't like what Olivia was telling him but as always, he remained calm.

"What did he did do to you, Olivia?"

Olivia told Huck what he wanted to know and he gave a nod when she finished.

"Do you want me to…"

"No," Olivia said cutting him off. "Killing people don't solve anything."

"Scare him," Huck finished.

"But I can do that. Kill him. If you want me to know," Huck said

"I'm positive I don't want you to do that or scare him. I'll handle this."

"Ok." He stood up to leave.

"Thank you, Huck. For everything."

"It's never a problem, Olivia."

Huck walked over to the door and looked back her. "If you need anything..."

"I'll let you know," she said.

Olivia was at home watching TV. Well, trying to but her mind elsewhere as she sat in her living room. She constantly twisted the engagement ring around on her finger as she stared off in space. Being alone with just her thoughts was not fun. Ten minutes later her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on her door. Olivia got up to see who it was. When she saw that it was Fitz, she rushed to open the door.

"Fitz, what are...," she quit speaking when she saw that he looked depressed.

"Can I come in, please?"

"Yeah, come on it," Olivia said moving out of the way and closing the door behind him.

"What's going on?"

He slowly sat down on her couch. "He's not mine."

Olivia was confused. "You're not making any sense right now. Who is not yours?"

Fitz was still looking straight ahead. "Teddy, he clarified. "Teddy, is not mine."

Olivia covered her mouth in completely shock. She took a seat on the couch but kept space between them.

"I'm so sorry Fitz." She paused to get her thoughts together. "But I don't understand how this could happen. Mellie wanted to have a child with you to cover up the whole sex tape scandal."

"Yeah, well I think her biggest reason for doing it was to cover up her affair.

"I can't believe this. It's just…wow."

"The sad part is that I'm not surprised by the cheating. I'm just surprise that Mellie hates me so much that she'll pass another man's child off as mine. Just to remain First Lady."

Silence fell between them. However, it didn't last long when something occurred to Olivia.

"Wait. How did you find out after all this time?"

He finally faced her. "Someone I know told me," Fitz said purposely leaving out Jake's name.

"Well, I'm glad you know the truth now."

"Me too," Fitz said sadly.

The hurt Olivia saw in his eyes was hard to see. Although she and Fitz weren't on good terms, her heart was breaking for him. She knew how much Fitz adored and loved all of kids. Olivia reached out and covered his hand with hers. She gave it a light squeeze.

"Fitz, you're going to get through this."

He looked down at her hand briefly before making eye contact with her again.

"I really hope so."

"You will," she said and gave him a small, encouraging smile.

Olivia's hand remained on Fitz's one until she felt an uneasiness wash over her. She moved her hand and then stood up.

"You want anything to drink?"

"Any chance you have something stronger than wine?"

"I do," Olivia said before walking to her kitchen.

She came back shortly with a tray with two glasses that had ice in it, two cans of Coca-Cola, and a bottle of Crown Royal. She sat the tray down before taking her seat again.

"Now, I would let you drink this straight but it's not nice to get the President drunk."

Fitz laughed, "You're right." He watched Olivia pour both of the liquids into the glass.

"I thought you didn't own anything except for wine."

Olivia handed him his glass and then picked up her own.

"When you had a shitty day or week in my case, wine just won't do. So, cheers," Olivia said lifting her glass and Fitz clank his glass against hers.

They spent next two hours bonding over their recent life problems while drinking. Fitz explained to her that he had plans to talk to Paul soon and that he was going to confront Mellie when he got back to the White House that night. Olivia spoke mostly about work. But the more alcohol she consumed, her need to talk about Jake took over.

"I'm sorry," she said with a grin as she placed her glass on the coffee table. "I'm running my mouth about relationship problems and you just found out that only two of kids are really yours.

"It's ok," Fitz said putting his glass on the table as well. "You just needed someone to listen just like I did."

Fitz checked his watch and saw that it was almost twelve o'clock. "I need to get back to the White House.

"Yeah, you need to before Mellie comes here looking for you."

Fitz groaned. "Please don't remind me about her."

"I forgot," Olivia said a little laugh.

Fitz was a little buzzed but stood up with ease. He then held his hands out to help Olivia to her feet. Olivia was silently thankful for the assistance because she didn't realize how tipsy she really was until she stood up.

Fitz looked down at her and said, "Thank you for not sending me away when I showed up here."

"Thanks for being good company," Olivia said with a smile. Olivia closed the space between them to give Fitz a hug before he left. Their embrace was a quick one but Fitz's arms remained around her waist.

"Jake is one lucky guy," Fitz said and it took Olivia by surprise. But she played it off to the best of her ability because she knew Fitz's comment wasn't a compliment.

She grinned while removing his arms away from her. "You're drunk, Fitz. Go home before you get in trouble."

"Would it be so bad if we got in a little trouble," he said flirting with her.

Olivia was out of it but she wasn't too far gone to notice the feeling of Fitz's lips on hers. It was a simple kiss but it left her wanting more. She cupped his chin in her hand and pulled in him for another kiss. This time Fitz slipped his tongue into her mouth and soon Olivia was enjoying the sensation of her tongue intertwining with his. They found themselves back on the couch with Olivia rested against the arm of the couch and Fitz on top of her. He broke their kiss to take off his shirt and for Olivia to take off her blouse.

Fitz then slid his hand underneath her skirt to pull off her panties. He placed two fingers inside of her and began to move them in and out of her with a steady rhythm. Olivia's head fell back in pleasure, allowing moans to escape from her lips. Fitz leaned down to kiss her from her shoulder up to her mouth while his hand continued to please her. Olivia slid her hand inside his pants to stroke him. Between what she was doing and the way Fitz kissed her, she was yearning to feel him inside her. She placed her other hand on his arm to stop his movements. Fitz saw the lust in her eyes.

Fitz knew what she wanted without her saying a word. He unbuckled and unzip his pants. Olivia watched as he pulled his harden member out. When he glided himself into her spot, she arched her back and closed her eyes. After a few thrusts, Olivia's head fell back again and Fitz whispered in her ear.

"Did you miss this?"

"Yes," she breathed out.

"Are you sure?" he asked as he increased his rhythm slightly.

"Mmmhmm," Olivia moaned as she bit her bottom lip.

Fitz kissed her again before burying his face into the crook of her neck. Olivia wrapped her legs around her to keep him close. Fitz let out a few moans himself. He slowed down to keep from coming too fast but Olivia wasn't happy about that.

"Don't slow down," she said quickly.

Fitz didn't respond verbally but physically. His thrusts became faster.

"That's it," she said and he kept going.

"Almost there?"

"Oh yes!"

"How close?"

"I'm very..….ohhhhh Jake!" Olivia let out as she hit her peak.
