Chapter 11: Preparations and Heading for Semi-Finals

Stacie's POV

'I cannot believe the winter break is already over.' I thought as I went to my class.

"Let see this trimester I have slightly better time between my courses and Bellas rehearsals." I said while walking to class.

At Bellas Rehearsals

"Alright ladies let's start with start with rehearsals." Aubrey said as we entered the hall. The rehearsals lasted longer that it was expected.

"Finally, it is over today. I mean I get it that we have come back from the break; but what necessary extra hour of rehearsals?" I asked Chloe.

"It is not necessary but you know Aubrey. She wants everything to perfect all the time and in the sequence." Chloe replied. "So, how was your break? Did you and you know who enjoy the ability to spent time properly without any interference from us?"

"You know it. Plus, Beca come over after a few days." Stacie replied. "Well I am off. I have assignments to work on. Also, I need to catch up with Beca because I left my room key at Mr. Secret's room."

"What took you long to catch up with me?" Beca asked.

"I was gathering my stuff and talking to Chloe." I replied. As come closer to dorm, we noticed some of the trebles standing there. However, they did not notice us due to which we quickly left from there.

Later that day

At Stacie's and Beca's Dorm Room

"Beca this is amazing. I cannot wait to get your first release." I said after listening to her latest mix.

"For that I need to get assignments done." Beca said.

"Same here." I said

The next few days have been hectic irrespectively how light my schedule was.

Day of Semi – Finals

I was getting ready for the semi-finals. Once I seems prefect I left the dorm room. I headed to where the rest the Bellas were standing. While heading I heard Beca's Mix Track on the college radio and I was happy.

"I heard your track on the radio." I said to Beca once I saw coming our way.

"I know; I cannot believe Luke actual played the track." Beca said.

While heading for the Semi – Finals, the group were busy with their own things while Amy was driving. We stop to fill the tank of the vehicle we were traveling. During which Amy had to change her top. Once that was done, we continued to our destination. All a sudden Chloe starts to sing Party in the USA, we all joined in. then the we seem to slow down till we reached a stand still.

"Oh, no, actually that is a really good idea. I've got Bumper's number." Amy said, I was really surprised when she said that.

"Why do you have Bumper's number?" Aubrey asked. I really hope she has a good reason to give.

Uh… was the only thing coming out of Amy mouth when Aubrey said to forget the reason and just call him. We wait till they arrived to pick us up.

"Well, look who need our help." Bumper said as he got out the Trebles' Bus.

"Well, if you have done the comments can we leave." I said so that we did not delay our arrival to the location. We all got on the bus. Donald was driving with Lily taking a place near him.

"Relax, you know he loves you." Beca said as though she knew I was I thinking.

"Thanks" I said while I trying to find a seat. I could feel Donald staring at me. Amy and Bumper were having their own banter while everyone sitting quietly. In the front, I could see that Lily seems like sitting close to Donald. If I did not want to risk anything right now with Aubrey I would have to bear it. Though during the ride, Donald and I were having a silent conversation. Beca and Chloe come and sat next to me.

"Continue to look at front more specifically Donald, everyone here will notice." Chloe said in a whisper. I could simply blush at that comment.

"Anyway, I want to know is why Aubrey is so stuck up about things." Beca said. I looked at Aubrey before nodding to Beca's comment.

"Well, her father is really about perfection and tradition. Also, due to her last relationship." Chloe said. I thought who could be her last boyfriend before it occurred to me.

"Unicycle?" I asked, Chloe nodded. Beca looked at us like what we are talking about.

"Unicycle and Aubrey used to date. Then one day they broke up. Till today I do not the reason because she will not tell me." Chloe said.

"Okay now I kind of understand her hater with Trebles" Beca said, Chloe nodded.

"Guys we are here." Donald said. Everyone got off the bus. Donald pulled me aside.

"Are you okay?" Donald asked me. I just nodded though he was not convinced.

"I am okay I swear." I said. We quickly hugged and went to our respected groups.

"Where is Stacie?" Audrey asked, looking around for me.

"I am here." I said as reached the group.

"Where did you go?" Aubrey asked.

"I had to quickly use the ladies room before heading to inside for the performance." I said well it was not entirely a lie.

"Oh okay. Let's go in. We better get into the finals I am clearly." Aubrey said. "So that means no changing the sequence that we rehearsed, am I clear?"

We all just nodded. We headed inside for the backstage.

'I hope everything goes okay today. I hope there is no problem.' I thought. I noticed the trebles entering the backstage after us. I looked at Donald. He wished me luck discreetly. Aubrey called for an all-in moment before we were called. We were called onto the stage to perform.

'Here goes nothing.' I thought as we walked onto the stage.
