Hello, my lovely readers. We're going to have a wedding in this chapter. I hope you enjoy it because I wanted to write a silly chapter that was just light and fluffy for once. Enjoy!

Chapter 11: Wedded Bliss

Sitting down on one of the many beds that the resort had to offer, Katherine stared up at the ceiling. She was so freaking bored. Growling, she rolled onto her stomach. Why was it that she had agreed to come to work for a man who despised her and to help Elijah try to get his psychotic little bro back with his annoying twit of an ex-girlfriend? Couldn't Klaus just give up or compel Caroline to do whatever he wanted? He was becoming so boring.

Yawning, Katherine rolled off the bed. Walking toward the door, she looked around the hallway for a guest to eat. Just because they ran the place didn't mean that she wasn't going to have a little fun. Unfortunately the only person hanging in the hallway was the whiny, teen mom, Caroline.

Trying to sneak back into the room, Katherine started to slip the key card in the lock and cursed when it beeped loudly. "Katherine?" Caroline called and Katherine gritted her teeth in annoyance and then turned on her heel.

"Yes, Caroline, do you need something? I can send Kol in to fluff your pillows or whatever you need. We're a full service resort and our employees are very obliging." Grinning, Katherine waited for Caroline to yell and walk off. Caroline just sighed heavily and stared at the floor with that sad, little puppy look that Katherine imagined was the entrance to the Mystic Falls Club.

It made Katherine so happy that she never received an invitation to that group of idiots anonymous. Or they should be anonymous. If Katherine were part of a group like that she certainly would not want other people to know. Oh, no, they probably had a Facebook page devoted to their daily do-gooder events. Shivering inwardly, Katherine was dragged away from her much more entertaining thoughts when Klaus came into the hallway and Caroline's eye's widened like one of those little anime things.

Smiling, Katherine wrapped an arm around Caroline and sped them toward the elevator as the doors swung open. Klaus gave her a venomous look as Katherine pursed her lips in a kissing motion before watching the doors close. "You know what will cheer you up, little hybrid?" Katherine asked Caroline who rolled her eyes but waited for the answer without a snide remark.

'Man, I'm losing my touch,' Katherine thought, feeling horrified. 'Or Caroline is more screwed up than usual. Thank you, Klaus, you always know how to ruin a girl's impression of herself.'

Speaking aloud, Katherine smiled. "We are going to a wedding. Getting married like ten times really cheered me up. You can meet a cute boy and dance until he drops. That should take your mind off of 'he who is crazier than hell."

"Katherine, I'm not in the mood for a wedding," Caroline protested, trying to walk away from Katherine when the doors of the elevator opened.

Katherine shook her head and grabbed Caroline by the shoulders. "Come on. I thought you were one of those party planning people. You can even plan the wedding, too. Won't that be fun?"

Caroline's eyebrows furrowed. "Huh? How can I plan a wedding? What do you want to do, find some poor guests of this resort and compel them to get married for our entertainment?"

Katherine's eyes widened and she grinned with delight. "Caroline Forbes, you are a genius. Oh, there is my second favorite member of the Mikaelson family to my husband. Hello, Nik Jr. You are so much cuter than your namesake," Katherine cooed to the dog.

"Uh, Katherine?" Caroline called, sounding unsure as she looked over Katherine's shoulder.

"What?" Katherine asked, picking up the little dog and petting it gently.

Caroline pointed to something in the corner, "I think that is Nik Jr."

Katherine stopped kissing the little dog and then stared in the corner at the dog who looked like Nik Jr. Come to think of it this dog was lighter than Nik Jr., not wanting to but forcing herself to take a quick look, Katherine confirmed that either Nik Jr. had lost a few vital parts or this was female dog. "What are we going to call you, sweetness?"

"You could call her Kat?" Caroline suggested with a giggle.

Katherine's eyebrow lifted as she gave Caroline one of her "you're as crazy as your ex-boyfriend" looks. Then it dawned on her. "Nope, I think you want to be called Care Jr. You don't want to have a complex, do you? No, you don't. Now, we're going to find some nice people to compel to get married and put on a cute little wedding for us. Won't that be lots of fun for your new mommy?"

"Katherine, I'm already pregnant. I can't add a pet to my list of growing problems," Caroline was whining and Katherine rolled her eyes.

"Care Jr. is not your baby. She's mine. You know some of us don't get to have the real thing. So, we have to make our own families," burying her face in the dog's fur, Katherine took a deep sniff. "You know you need a proper bath, Care." Wrinkling her nose, Katherine stared at the dog who looked at her with large eyes. "Who should we compel?" Katherine asked Caroline who shook her head.

"No, Katherine, we are not compelling people. Marriage is a serious business. You don't just go running down the aisle with just anybody," Caroline was telling Katherine as her eyes traveled the lobby and then landed on someone talking to a young girl.

"Matty," Katherine called before Caroline could stop her. "Hello, Matt. Are you busy? You look busy. And who is this lovely, young lady?"

Matt turned to Katherine, confused by her sudden friendliness. "Hi, Katherine. This is April. April this is one of the employees of the resort. Really she's related to the owner."

"It's nice to meet you, Katherine," April said shyly, offering her hand and Katherine ignored it before staring deeply into the girl's eyes.

"Matty Blue Eyes just asked you to marry him and in spite of how young you are and how fast this seems you can only leap into his arms and say yes, yes, yes. Then you will go with me and my friend, Caroline, out to the beach where you will have a private but intimate ceremony. Do you understand?" Katherine asked, searching the girl's eyes.

"What in the hell, Katherine?" Matt cried, staring at Katherine and then April who was grinning happily and jumping up and down.

Caroline stepped toward Matt with Nik Jr. now trailing after her. Katherine was waiting for Caroline to ruin the fun when she placed a hand on Matt's arm. "Matt, you are so happy that you're about to marry April. She is a nice girl and you've finally decided to move on from Elena. Do you understand?"

Feeling the desire jump up and down herself, Katherine linked arms with Caroline, keeping her little dog in her arms as they looked for someone to officiate this little travesty of human silliness. It was going to be so much fun. "Kol," Katherine shouted when she saw her brother-in-law just hanging about in the lobby. "I need help with something."

"And as much as I want to help you, I have more important things to do," Kol retorted with a grin.

Reaching out Katherine, placed a hand on Kol's arm as he started to walk by her. "Kol, we're about to have a compelled wedding between these two little humans." Kol gave Matt and April a semi-interested look. "And afterward we're going to have a wedding for Nik Jr. and his new love. Meet Miss Care Jr." Katherine waved the dog's paw at Kol who smiled genuinely.

"Ah, mate, you found you're Caroline. I'm sure Nik Sr. will be thrilled with the news. And look at you, you're getting married before he does. Oh, Nik will be furious to find out that he is the best man, never the groom. Well, except for that once when Caroline Sr. ran away. They should make a movie about a woman who does that."

"They did," Caroline replied drily.

"Things you don't know when you're stuck in a coffin for years on end," Kol informed Caroline with a light shrug. "Now, where shall these weddings be performed? How about beneath Nik's balcony? It will drive him completely insane. Not that he needs to be driven farther insane because he's pretty out there."

"Kol, do you think maybe that you could try to shut up?" Caroline growled and Kol began to chuckle until Caroline silenced him with a long glare.

"Oh, that is so cute. Your hormones are making you rival Nik's temper," Kol whispered, leaning into Caroline's personal space.

"Don't you have some fake weddings to help with?" Caroline whispered back, poking Kol with a long finger until he was forced back a foot by the angry, little hybrid girl.

"I suppose," Kol whirled around on his heel so that his back was turned to them. He began to walk out the front door of the resort.

Matt and April were beginning to get into their roles and were grinning at each other with that glow that made Katherine laugh on the inside. It didn't matter. They would forget all about this in the morning after she compelled them to forget but she was hoping that seeing the wedding would cause Caroline to get back onto her own wedding track. The sooner Caroline and Klaus headed down the aisle the sooner that she and Elijah could be rid of the pain in the ass Original Hybrid and they could off on their own.

They ended up on the beach. It was funny that it felt like all the bad things and all the good things happened to transpire on the beach. Well, what were resorts for but their beautiful beaches that should be used for events like convincing humans to marry each other for the entertainment value of the supernatural community?

"What are you up to, Katerina?" Elijah called, appearing out of the shadows and Katherine felt a trill shoot through her body as her husband walked toward them in another of those suits that made her wild.

"Oh, just a little wedding," Katherine replied with a slight smile as she peered up at him through her eyelashes.

Elijah looked at April and Matt. "Is that girl even old enough to consent to marriage?" He quirked an eyebrow with an amused but puzzled expression as Caroline ducked her head with a giggle. "Katerina?"

"We're not in the States. It's not a big deal," Katherine murmured, taking ahold of Elijah's tie and wrapping it around her hand, pulling him closer to her.

"Katerina, what are you not telling me?" Elijah replied, attempting to unwrap his tie while forcing Katherine to meet his eyes.

"Elijah, let me have my fun. Will you? It's harmless," Katherine pouted as she leaned into his body. "It's just the teeniest of weddings and I will compel them to forget tomorrow."

"Tonight," Elijah told her, pressing his hand to her cheek and Katherine smiled up at him.

The soon-to-be newlyweds were now kissing like there was no tomorrow and Katherine smiled. They were actually kind of cute together. Maybe she could convince Elijah to allow them to stay married for a week.

"We need seats and April needs a bouquet and a dress and proper shoes. And look at Matt? He's not even wearing a suit. Oh, my God. We really need to make this right," Caroline cried, pressing her hands to her cheeks as they flushed. Looking around at the others who were smiling at her she opened her mouth in a wide O. "What's wrong with you all?"

Kol shook his head slowly. "Oh, come on, Caroline, try doing something spontaneous for once."

"But it's not right," Caroline told them. "This is their first wedding. When it's like your fifth then it's cool to do it in jeans or whatever. But not the first."

Kol rolled his eyes. "Can we at least marry the dogs?"

"Dogs?" Elijah for the first time seemed to notice the little dog in Katherine's arms. "Where is that from?" The look on his face did not make Katherine happy.

"This is Care Jr. She's going to be Nik Jr.'s wife," Katherine told him, holding the dog closer to her body.

"So, she will be living with Kol then?" Elijah replied with a long look in Kol's direction.

"No, she's our baby," Katherine whispered, staring up at Elijah.

"Katerina, we cannot have a dog. They chew things up and pee everywhere. It will eat my shoes and ties and…" Elijah trailed off as Katherine's expression closed off.

"Then I guess we won't have to stay in the same room. Now, will we, Care?" Katherine asked the dog as Caroline began to shake her head.

"Can you please change the dog's name? I do not want to have a dog with my name," Caroline cried, throwing her arms up in exasperation.

"Did it occur to you that maybe the dog feels ashamed that it must bear your name?" Kol inquired and Caroline lost it, tackling him to the sand and they began to tussle on the beach.

"I thought you wanted to marry the furry ones. Not roll around in the sand with your brother's lover," Katherine told Kol, prodding with her foot.

"Caroline's still having sex with Klaus?" Matt called, breaking away from his embrace with April for a moment.

"Not important," Caroline shouted, shoving Kol off and dusting the sand off of her clothes. "Kol, marry Care and Nik," she ordered and then she blushed bright red as she thought about what she had just said and then she groaned when the vampire with the same name appeared.

"That would be an interesting turn of events," Klaus murmured with a slow grin.

"Not you and me. The dogs," Caroline protested loudly and then she realized that that didn't come out right either as Kol began to laugh loudly. Thankfully he was wise enough for once to not announce to them what he found so funny.

Katherine tried to not laugh herself as Caroline attempted to look away from Klaus but her eyes kept finding his. Kol gained control of himself and picked up Nik Jr. setting him to his right, he took Care Jr. and set her down to his left. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to witness the union of these two lovely, little mutts. And, no, I am not referring to," Kol moved his gaze from Klaus to Caroline who rolled their eyes in unison. "Nik Jr., will you promise to share your bowl with Care Jr.? Will you not sniff other girl dog's rearends? Will you sleep in the same doggy bed even when Lijah tries to throw you both out when you make Care Jr. the second youthful mummy in our group?"

Nik. Jr. yipped loudly in reply. Kol turned to Care Jr. "Care Jr., do you promise to deal with the obnoxious little noises that Nik Jr. makes in the middle of the night? Will you bear him a whole litter of puppies and drive my siblings insane with the noise? Will you be cuter than Nik? Well, who is not?"

Care Jr. yipped loudly and Kol laughed. "I take that as a yes. I present to all of you Mr. and Mrs. Nik Jr. Mikaelson. You may now lick your bride. No, Nik that does not apply to you," Kol called to Klaus who was standing next to Caroline who was wiping away tears and was holding her sire's hand.

"Wouldn't think of it," Klaus replied with a smirk directed at Caroline as the group clapped when Nik Jr. gave Care Jr. lots of doggy kisses.

"They're so cute together," Katherine whispered to Elijah, looking at the dogs.

"Yes, they are," Elijah whispered into her ear as he looked at his brother and Caroline instead. His brother had his arms wrapped around Caroline's waist and his head was resting on top of hers. "I don't think it should take too much longer now."

Katherine observed the couple and leaned against Elijah's shoulder. "I think you might be right," she informed him with a happy smile, something told her that love was in the air.

So, that's the chapter. During the next chapter we'll be seeing a lot more of Klaus because it's his chapter. See you next week.
