Chapter 10

Everyone was staring at the two Allens for a while. After a few minutes, Miranda let out a sudden scream. Kanda, who was standing next to her, immediately covered her mouth. "Shush! Miranda… Calm down… we can explain everything but you have to promise to behave and not tell anyone about this. Is that clear?" She nodded.

Kanda let her go. It was quiet for a while until Miranda started to scream again, she also ran for the window. Fred and George managed to catch her and to calm her down. Her voice was a bit shaky, "so… I did promise you children some candy…" A bag seemed to emerge from nowhere and inside there was a whole bunch of candy. She gave each of the Hogwarts students as well as the two Allens. Even Kanda got one. "Um… Let's find a quiet place to talk. How about my room? No one ever goes in there…"

"Won't it take a while to get there? If we go to your room, we might be seen."

"Oh that's nonsense. My room is just around the corner." Everyone followed Miranda to her room; Allen and Allen were under the cloak again in case someone spots them. Once inside, she started banging here head against the wall. Her room was covered in many old things; mostly toys and such. Some of the things were broken and other things looked as if they have been fixed. There was an old grandfather clock standing against a wall. It wasn't ticking though. "Um… Everyone, just find a place to sit… Allen… Oh no! Allen went missing!" Miranda started to panic. Allens took off the invisibility cloak and Miranda let out a strange silent scream type thing when they did.

"Please calm down Miss." Hermione tried to calm Miranda down a bit. "I will explain everything you need to know as well as a few things that they don't know."

"Oh please do!"

"We are not from this time," she started, "we are from the 20th century; 1995 to be more exact." When Miranda heard that, she did another sort of silent scream. It actually reminded Hermione of the painting, The Scream. "The only one who is not actually from this time is the younger looking Allen over there." Young Allen gave a little wave. "It all started when Malfoy tricked me into doing a spell for him. That spell was to summon an heir of Slytherin from the past. That's how we ended up with Younger Allen. Now as for how we ended up with another version of him in a completely different time is another complicated story that you may or may not understand. Who here thinks that they can handle it?"

Harry spoke, "well… It doesn't matter how complicated it is. We ought to know what the hell is going on here." Everyone else agreed.

"I suppose you're right. I'll make it as simple as possible. That thing we were stuck in before is known as a RITAS. It stands for Rip In Time And Space. It appears when an object has been removed out of its original time and history starts to adjust itself. When I first researched it, I thought it is something that is meant to cause a paradox. And by the way, a paradox is an impossible situation. For example, two Allens in one room… But recently, I researched it again and I found that it doesn't cause the paradox. It is the paradox. As soon as the object from the past is removed, everything related to it in some way gets absorbed. Okay I was lying… Not everything gets absorbed… Only a few things. It's random, therefore we don't know what'll be absorbed.

"Now… Technically speaking, this time period shouldn't exist because it should have been erased because of obvious reasons. But then again, the time that we come from shouldn't exist either. Is everyone still following?" They all nodded. "Okay good… Anyway, I'm not quite sure how we ended up here, but I have a theory. My theory is that it has something to do with the ark. The RITAS doesn't exist in any specific time. It just exists, making it accessible to any time between where the object was removed from and where it ended up. The ark exists in this time period, meaning that when you opened the gate, we automatically ended up here. That's about it…"

"I think I get it… But it doesn't quite make sense…" Harry said.

The older Allen answered him. "It won't make sense because time is a big ball of wibbly, wobbly, timey, whimey… stuff."

"Um… Anyway… How are we going to get out of this time?" Neville asked.

"I'm not sure if the ark will work again…" Hermione said.

"Being here in this time isn't that much different than when I was in yours." Younger Allen said. "The way I see it, all I have to do is get back to my own time some way or another."

"But then we're stuck in this time…"

"I'm surprised that you haven't thought of this…"

"Thought of what?"

"Well… Naturally, when I go back to my own time, you guys will most likely be erased in the future. Not permanently though, but you will be erased. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?"

Hermione thought about it for a while. "Yes. So what you're trying to say is that we'll still exist one day, except we won't have any memory of what happened because as soon as things go back to the way it was, everything has to start over from that point in time?"

"Huh… You lost us…" Everyone in the room looked as if Mother Math had just given them a lecture on very complicated maths.

"I'll simplify what I just said with a story… Once upon a time we managed to send Allen back. Except, our time has been completely erased and either will, or will not exist depending on the decisions Allen makes because he would possibly still have a memory of what happened. Does that make more sense?"

"WIbbly, wobbly, timey, whimey stuff!" Older Allen repeated.

"Fine… Let's just stick with that…" Hermione sighed.

Lately, Lavi has been extra careful around people, scared that they might be his mysterious stalker. He hasn't received any new letters, but he has a feeling that he's being watched and quite frankly, he's terrified. Ron noticed that he's been acting strange, but he guessed that it was probably because of his situation. At the moment, Lavi was attempting to read a book, but he couldn't quite concentrate.

'I feel like I'm being watched…' he thought. 'Everyone at this house seems safe but I can't help but feeling like I'm being watched… I'd be fine with it if it's a really hot girl but… I can't date a student! Even if I'm not a teacher. I like older girls. What do I do?' He felt a hand on his shoulder. He jumped out of the seat in surprise, then he tripped and hit his head on the wall. When he looked to see who it was, he saw that it was just Mrs Weasley.

"I'm so sorry Mrs Weasley…" He apologised. "I'm just a bit nervous at the moment because of my… Situation."

"Don't worry sweetie, I understand." She reassured Lavi.

He let out a sigh of relief, "thank goodness."

"Do you think that the Twins and Harry are okay?" She asked. Lavi could tell that she was trying her best to stay strong.

"Of course they're okay."

"I suppose you are right… Hermione is with them, after all."

"Mrs, Weasley? If you don't mind me asking, who exactly is he-who-must-not-be-named?"

"That is the greatest dark wizard of all time. He killed many people long ago, no one survived except for Harry Potter."

"Is that why they often refer to him as The Boy Who Lived?"

"Yes. Oh look at the time! I better start dinner." Mrs Weasley went into the kitchen and started preparing dinner. In the meantime, Lavi was trying to leave the house so that he can go to Hogwarts and inspect what was going on.

While attempting to leave the house without being seen, Ron spotted him. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"Hogwarts."

"But it's currently under surveillance by the Ministry!"

"I'll sneak past them."

"How are you going to get there?"

"With a hammer."

"You have a portkey?"

"No I don't have a portkey, however, I do have a hammer."

"You're not making any sense."

"Of course not. You're welcome to come with me if you like, but I'm not sure if your mother would be too happy about it. I would technically be breaking the law."

"I stole an illegal enchanted car from my parents once and I flew it in plain sight of muggles, I doubt that what you're doing is any more illegal."

"Car?"

"Never mind! I'm coming with you."

Ron and Lavi ended up going to the castle together. Ron was amazed by Lavi's hammer. He asked if there are any special enchantments on it but he told him that it was innocence that was helping him do this. Then he had to explain what innocence is. When they got to the castle (if you can still call it that) they were stunned. The strange black orb had swallowed the whole of Hogwarts. Every inch of the castle was gone.

Lavi studied it for a while, wondering if it would be wise to get any closer. After a while of thought, he decided to investigate it. He and Ron got off the hammer and Lavi returned it to its original form. Ron tried to stop him from going in. "Are you crazy, Professor?"

"I thought I told you to stop calling me that." Lavi argued.

"Whatever! Lavi! You can't go in there. You are out of your bloody mind!"

"Then let me be! Look, I didn't say that you have to come with me in there. You're more than welcome to wait out here. But I want to go in because I have business to take care of. And plus, I've got creepy stalker person watching over me…"

"I understand."

"Good! Now stay here." He started walking towards the black orb until Ron yelled out to him. "What? Didn't we already agree that I'll go?"

"Take me with you!" He yelled out.

"Okay."

"What?" Ron was expecting him to start talking about how dangerous it is and how he shouldn't even be considering this and a whole bunch of other stuff.

"I said okay. I mean, you're already here right now. You can come with if you want. Just watch out for your mum."

Ron immediately regretted his decision when Lavi said that, but that wasn't going to stop him from doing what he wants to do. They both proceeded to walk to the orb; but they found that they couldn't get to it because there was a charm of some sort blocking their way. Luckily, Lavi knew how to deal with it since he and Bookman had experienced this problem before. He managed to bend it and so Ron and Lavi were able to get through the barrier. As soon as they got pass it, they entered the black orb.

Once inside, everything was dark. It took a while for their eyes to adjust. They looked around and found that they were in an endless black void. "Are we inside?" Ron asked.

"I would think so…" Lavi answered him.

Ron got nervous and tried to turn back. But instead of vanishing, he kept on walking. "Why can't I get out of here? We got in didn't we?"

"We are currently stuck in a dimension from the one we were in. This one is surrounded in nothingness. As a matter of fact, I don't even think it's surrounded in nothing… I think it actually is nothing! Shit! How are we getting out of here?" Lavi started panicking as well.

"Does that mean we're stuck here forever?"

"Well Dumbledore said that there is a way out! We just have to find it! Let's go! Wait. How the hell do we move around in nothing?"

"Just walk around normally!"

"Oh. Yeah, I should probably stop panicking. Let's go…"

Lavi and Ron started looking for a way to get out. After a while of fruitless searching, something started happening to the space around them. It started materialising into a real place. When it finished, they were upside down. They both fell onto the ground. Well, more like the roof of a flying car.

The car was hovering outside a window. While hovering, a boy was trying to get into the flying car. He had messy hair, round glasses and a lightning scar on his forehead. "Is that lightning glasses? He looks younger…" Lavi wondered out loud.

"Wasn't this year two?"

"What?"

"This is when we came to get Harry from the Dursley's…"

"We?"

"Good point. Me and my brothers."

"My brothers and I."

"You weren't here…"

"I'm correcting your grammar."

"Ugh! Anyway, this was when I stole the enchanted car the first time."

"So this is a car…" Lavi said.

The scene started disappearing as the car flew away. Soon Lavi and Ron were surrounded by darkness once more. They kept walking and looking for an exit without much luck. The darkness started materialising again and suddenly they were standing inside Hogwarts. "We're back at Hogwarts…" Lavi said.

"No shit, Sherlock. But what is it doing here?"

Lavi was about to answer Ron's question when they were suddenly interrupted. A small man with panda-like makeup was walking in the halls. "Is that… Hey, old Panda!" He called out to Bookman, but he wasn't responding. "That's weird… Usually he'll hit me on the head by now…"

"Huh?" Ron exclaimed.

Bookman turned around and called out to someone. "Ray! Hurry up!"

A boy ran after him. He looked like a younger version of Lavi; around fourteen years old. "Bookman… Where are we?"

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Humans who can use magic?"

"Yes."

"Nothing new… They'll probably just end up causing another war. Humans are pathetic."

"There won't be a war for another few years."

"Then what are we recording this time?"

"Magic. We are also here to hide a particular object. I'll tell you about it later, but first, we meet the Headmaster…"

Then the scene vanished. "That was you…" Ron said. "You seemed different and you also had a different name."

"Lavi is my 49th name. With each name a slightly different personality. That's all I'm telling you. Let's keep going…"

The two of them kept searching again and it didn't take them too long to run into a strange door in the middle of nowhere. It was a wooden door with a giant steel handle on it. The two of them decided that this would most likely be their best option of getting out of here. When they walked through they were suddenly standing in front of an old castle. In the courtyard there was a collection of demonic looking stone statues. Some were quite gruesome looking and it sent chill down Ron's spine. "Where the bloody hell are we?" He asked nervously.

Sorry that it took a while... Recently I have been incredibly busy with school, especially with it being the end of the year and all. But I don't have quite as many assignments to finish anymore, as a matter of fact, I think I'm done with everything so you can expect the next chapter to come out soon. And recently I re-read my summary for this story and thought that it is actually VERY misleading. And so is the title, but I'm way too lazy to change it. ^.^
