Mass Destruction: The Evidence

Set 3 years after the reaper war when Shepard sacrificed his life to save the entire Galaxy. Miranda stumbles across information that could possibly destroy Shepard's legacy. Its up to Miranda, Jack and Kasumi to preserve this information so that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands even if it means sacrifice.

11. Sleepless

Jack laid down in her bed in the hotel room tossing and turning. She tried to sleep but was awoken by a vicious dream of Shepard.

…..

"Jack listen I"

"SHEPARD. LEAVE ME ALONE. You are just like the others using me and once you are done you just toss me too the side"

"Please Jack I never meant to hurt you, this wasn't suppose to happen. I want to make things work with you"

"Shepard get the fuck out now" my hands glow blue.

He backs off and approaches the stairs and turns around to give me one last glance. I glare and as he makes it up the first flight of stairs. A sharp loud noise begins to pierce my ear drums. Followed by a violent shake from the ship. I fall to the ground and hold on to a pipe. It felt like the ship was shaking violently. Like one of those earthquakes that happen on earth. I didn't understand what was going on. I grabbed the pipe and made my way to the stairs and followed Shepard up the steps. As soon as Sheppard got to the top of the steps a Reaper emerged through the mental walls tearing the ship in half. Its eye like feature seemed to glare down at Shepard. A red light emerged and started to get directly beam towards Shepard. I watched in horror as the light blasted him and tore him to peaces.

Jack woke up in her sleep. To hear a buzzing coming from her omnitool. She grabbed it and saw a call from Liara. Jack answered it

"Liara"? Jack said squinting from the sudden light coming to her eyes.

"Jack, I am glad you are still up at this time" Liara said speaking hastily.

"Yeah…" Jack said barley understanding.

"Listen sources said Miranda was taken by a couple of c-sec turians after asking about a shuttle" Liara said looking at a datapad in her hand.

"Should I talk to c-sec"

"no I don't know exactly what is going on and you have another mission that needs to take priority. When I find out more information I will let you know until then you and Kasumi continue with the mission" Liara informed.

Jack simply nodded

"Good luck"

"Yeah. Thanks" Jack said sleepily. She then turned off her omnitool and laid back down for the rest of the sleepless night.
