It's been a while my dear friends. This chapter is way overdue. I would like to apologize for not updating in so long... I just haven't had the motivation... Well, one of your fellow readers decided to take the initiative of giving me plot bunnies so I can continue this! Shout out to allyisallama! Thank you so much! You guys need to get on this persons level. They're amazing!
Anyway, let's get this show on the road!
It was a bright morning, the birds outside were chirping, yet two figures remained in bed, fast asleep, one wrapped in the arms of the other. The door opened, unnoticed by the sleeping couple. In crept the intruder who gasped upon sight of the two. By using my skills of deduction, I hereby declare that said intruder is Francis Bonnefoy. I know this because, first of all, no one else would break into the room besides Estella, second of all, if it were her, she'd probably be squealing in delight.
Francis dramatically dropped to the floor, clutching his heart as he sobbed and shook his head, biting a random cloth that showed up out of nowhere. "Mon amour...", he murmured. As he had his little sissy breakdown, Gilbert, surprisingly being the first to stir yawned and sat up, releasing Arthur who simply snuggled back into the pillows. He looked around lazily with half-lidded eyes when Francis came into his line of vision. He was about to lay back down, but then his eyes snapped completely open when he actually acknowledged Francis's presence, "What the sheisse friesse are you doing here, arseloch!?" Gilbert pulled the blanket up to hide his bare chest.
Francis glared at him with tears in the corners of his eyes, "Imbécile! You are the one who stole cher Arthur from me!" Gilbert glared right back at him, "What do you mean stole Arthur from you!? Kaninchen obviously wasn't interested dummkopf!" Arthur turned in the bed and blinked drowsily at Gilbert, "Gil... Who're you talking to?" Gilbert glanced at him, "Don't worry about it, sweet cheeks. Go back to sleep." Arthur began to sit up, "You don't tell me what to do..." He froze when he saw Francis sitting on the floor of his room. There was a long, awkward silence. "... Gilbert, why is Francis in my room?" Gilbert shrugged, "Beats me, Kaninchen."
Arthur mumbled a few quick words and suddenly his wand was in his hand. He pointed it threateningly at the Frenchmen and spoke calmly, "Remove yourself from the premises or I will use deadly force." Francis quickly stood and walked towards the door, not wanting to feel the wrath of his beloved. Gilbert stuck his tongue out at him as he left. When Francis was outside, he loudly declared, "One day he'll come around! He won't put up with you for long, Beilschmidt!" Arthur rolled his eyes and put his wand down.
Gilbert grinned and wrapped his arms around Arthur's torso as Arthur grumbled, "Well, that was a rude awakening." Gilbert let out a string of his snake-like laugher, "That's true."Arthur gently unwrapped himself from Gilbert's arms and stood from the bed. Gilbert wolf-whistled, "Lookin' good, Kaninchen~ Kesesesesese!" Arthur shot a glare back at him before he started dressing himself.
"Awwww, Kaninchen, why are you putting clothes on? I had a nice view!", Gilbert whined in disappointment. Arthur rolled his eyes, "Oh, belt up, you git. We still have to go to class, so I suggest you get ready, also. And would you stop calling me Kaninchen!?" Gilbert snickered to himself as he got up, "I don't think so, sweetheart." Gilbert rummaged in a dresser to pick an outfit for the day. When he turned back, he saw Arthur shuffling from foot to foot, face red and he was glancing at him several times. Gilbert smirked, "Like what you see?" Arthur spluttered, "W-what!? No! Don't flatter yourself!" "Kesesesesese! That's not what you were saying last night, Kaninchen. This awesomeness is not easily attainable, but for you, it's free. That's simply because you are just as awesome as I am and I don't say that to anyone else.", Gilbert waggled his eyebrows. Arthur huffed and turned to walk at of the room, face alight, "Hurry up, otherwise I'm leaving you." Gilbert simply grinned and got dressed.
...
I'm kinda lonely, in the last couple of chapters, you guys haven't spoke to me. (Is there something wrong with that? Doesn't it feel like a normal story?) Yeah, but I don't want it to be a normal story! I want it to stand out to people! If it were a normal story, you and Arthur wouldn't be self-aware! -Yes, I believe you do have to do something about that.- Shut it, Kaninchen~. -You are a right git, you know that?- Hey, don't insult me. I have power over you. (Don't do anything to Kaninchen! I will beat the sheisse out of you!) Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt your precious Kaninchen. Besides, you can't do anything to me. Anyway, shall we continue?
Here we are, in the classroom. Mr. Dimble is droning on about something utterly boring, Gilbert is busy attempting to play footsie with Arthur -To no avail.-, Francis is busy sulking, and Estella is simply sitting with a big smile on her face.
Gilbert was progressively getting bored because Arthur refused to play with him. "Hey, Kaninchen, you remember that dream I had?" Arthur glanced at him and nodded. Gilbert stared at him for a second, "... Do you know Max?" Arthur stiffened. Gilbert felt a sudden pain in his chest and he gasped. Arthur looked over at him with wide eyes and whispered, "Shite, Gilbert, I'm so sorry." "What the hell was that?", Gilbert choked out. Arthur hesitated, "... We share body and mind, now that we actually completely completed to contract, and my pain is your pain." Gilbert sighed, "Well, that's great!" Arthur also sighed and touched Gilbert's head with his hands.
Here, he saw a small house in a forest. Inside this small house, there is a young boy playing with a young girl. Both are smiling and laughing. There are three adults watching the children with adoring smiles.
The boy stood and ran over to one of the women, for there was two while the other adult was male, "Mum, look what I can do!" The emerald-eyed child with blond hair clapped his hands together and a burst of light formed in front of him. The mother stared wide-eyed at the air in front of her, "... Arthur, how did you do that?" Arthur grinned at her, "I just imagined something bright running to my hands!" The woman glanced at the male adult, "Dear, did you see that?" The man nodded, also wide-eyed, "Anne, you remember when your mum said magic ran in the family? That senile old woman wasn't kidding..." Anne lightly hit her husband, "Henry! She wasn't senile!"
The young girl stood and ran over to her own parent, "Mum, Arthur's not the only one who can do something cool!" The girl then proceed to make a beautiful rose appear out of nowhere, making a bunch of sparkles in the process. She grinned at her mother who was also smiling, "Oh, my little Estella's a mage!" She picked up the little girl and spun her around while she giggled.
Gilbert smiled at the cute scene, realizing that these children were the Arthur and Estella that he knew now. He was guessing that those adults were their parents. Suddenly, there was a loud shattering sound. Everyone turned to see a vaguely familiar boy with tears streaming down his face. The woman holding Estella scolded him, "Max, what are you doing? You don't knock things over in other peoples' house!" Max scowled at her, "What are you talking about? No one lives here." The woman frowned, "Max, I'm not playing with yo-" There was a shot. Estella dropped to the ground with her mother. She turned, looked at her mother and screamed. There was a hole blown directly in the center of the forehead upon her fair face. Estella screamed and sobbed, "Mum! Mum, no... You'll be okay mum, I've got you..." There were two more shots. Both of Arthur's parents were on the ground, bleeding profusely from their wounds. Arthur stared wide-eyed at them, "Mum! Dad!" He turned and glared at Max, "Why are you doing this!?" Max laughed a bit insanely, "Why? Why, you ask? Well, maybe I'm tired of you two taking all of the attention. Maybe I'm tired of you two always being more amazing than I am. Well, you know what? You can't be better than me if you don't exist." Max had the gun pointed at Estella, hand shaking, "I think you'll have to go, first."
Arthur froze for a moment, trying to think of what to do. What would he do? ... His magic! Arthur jumped in front of Estella and screwed his eyes shut, imagining a barrier around them. When he opened his eyes, there was a clear, yellow orb around them. Max was scowling and he shot the gun several times, trying to shoot them, but the orb was not having it. Arthur sat there in awe for a few moments before he turned to Estella, "Come on, we have to get out of here!" Estella looked at him with a tear-stained face and nodded. Arthur imagined them disappearing from this house to somewhere else, but they were still there when he opened his eyes. "Estella, you have to help me!" Estella started a bit but nodded. Arthur grabbed her hands, "You have to imagine disappearing from here and going somewhere else. Quick, where do you want to go?" "I-I want to go to Stonehenge!" Arthur thought for a moment, then nodded, "Okay, imagine in 3... 2.. 1!"
The image disappeared. Gilbert was suddenly brought back in to reality and Arthur's breathing was a bit laboured. Gilbert stared wide-eyed at him, "... Oh my god, Arthur..." Arthur shook his head, "You were going to have to find out eventually." Gilbert didn't speak anymore after that, he just stared at Arthur.
Yet, the class continued on.
How'd you like this overdue chapter? This explains things a bit, doesn't it? Let me know your thoughts! Oh, Arthur's parents were named after Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, if you didn't notice.
Gilbert: Kaninchen, I had no idea...
Arthur: Just drop it for the time being.
Gilbert: Okay...
Arthur: Well, until next time.
