The corrupted soul known as, the Pied Piper Hamelin, crept threw the shadows of Ouran Academy. It was the weekend and the school was closed, but Hamelin didn't want to take the chance of being spotted so soon after his energies had healed.
Hamelin made his way threw the secret passages within the walls until he reached one similar to a trap door in the deepest corner of the school. This door had never seen the light of day, or been looked upon by innocent eyes.
Hamelin opened the door, and jumped down about a quarter of a mile until he hit the hard floor. Being down here always made the dark soul feel a human like since of dread. It wasn't that long ago that he and his companions were trapped inside these walls, feeding off the souls gathered for them by their master, but it was what they had all agreed to.
"Hamelin?" A dark voice called.
"Masuta, I hope you will forgive my intrusion." Hamelin said.
"I knew you were coming, so don't bother with the formalities." Masuta crept threw the darkness, and a small flicker of candlelight appeared threw out the walls. "I also know about your recent failure with the Demon Swordsmen."
Hamelin gulped a bit at the disappointment he knew his master felt.
"You realize I did not create you just to fail me, like your comrad Elisabeth?"
"I believe you know that I have more restraint than she did Masuta, and I will thank you kindly not to compare her to me when I am still alive."
"Only because Sherwood rescued you at the last moment. If only he could have done so before you had the chance to open your mouth about our plans." Masuta crept closer, red eyes pierced Hamelin like a knife to skin.
"I did not tell them everything." Hamelin said calmly.
"But you gave them enough to start. I have worked, planned, and killed far too much to let everything go to waste on a witch's bastard and a group of human children! I don't think I have to tell you again how close we are to my goal, and if you can't be of use I will end you myself, Is that clear?"
"Yes. I will not fail you again. I've already sent Siderophagus and Sherwood to help aid in the problem."
"Then I suggest you hurry and assist them." Masuta pulled a long flute out of the shadows and handed it to Hamelin, "But don't forget Hamelin, you were a weak thief, who could barely stomach killing, when I brought you to this world, what progress you've made is because of me. I suggest you keep that in mind the next time your back is at the wall."
Hamelin took the flute and examined it carefully, "Yes Masuta." Hamelin turned to leave, but he still felt the insanity of the growing kishin as he left.
(Back at the Hitachiin Mansion)
Crona faced the mirror hanging on the wall in Hikaru and Kaoru's room. Crona wrote the numbers, but instead of seeing Lord Death himself, it was his iconic mask symbol and a message, "Sorry I'm not here to take your call, but leave me a message and I'll talk to ya later!"
Crona erased the numbers from the mirror, "Well that's never happened before."
"It was working just fine when we used it last night." Hikaru said before his mouth was quickly covered by Kaoru's hand.
"Shhhh, Hikaru!" Kaoru whispered to his brother.
Crona looked at the twins, "What did you say?"
The twins looked at each other. and then Kaoru flung Hikaru off the back of the bed, "Nothing nothing!" The younger twin lied.
"You guys, enough." Haruhi ordered. "Look Crona, you were really hurt, and we were all so worried so-"
"I called Lord Death, and he sent over two of your teachers, Professor Stein and Marie." Tamaki admitted.
Crona just stared at them in shock. Everyone was deathly silent for a moment.
"W-What did they say?" Crona asked, his face still emotionless.
"They told us you would be fine, and.." Tamaki was trying to find the write words.
"And what?" Crona startled everyone when he yelled.
Tamaki gulped and looked Crona in the eyes, "Stein wanted to make sure your powers hadn't taken you over, especially after we told them about how you were acting near the end of your fight." Tamaki didn't want to admit everything, but he couldn't lie to Crona either, "I'm sorry Crona, if you want to be mad at anyone be mad at me, because I wasn't just going to watch you suffer when we could do something to help you."
Crona's face fell, he was about to speak again, when a loud noise started resonating threw the air. The Hosts and Crona all looked around, and almost didn't have time to jump when several parts of the windows in the twin's room started breaking.
"What the hell!" The twins yelled, as what seemed like an arrow came threw the window, sticking in the side of the twins bed, and almost hitting Hikaru in the head.
"Everyone out!" Tamaki yelled, and grabbed Hikaru and Kaoru by their shirt collars, and running with everyone else out of the room.
They all ran down the halls, "Those were the same arrows that hit Crona!" Kyoya said.
"Are you sure?" Tamaki asked.
"Don't question me Tamaki!" Kyoya said just before an arrow hit the back of his leg, grazing it, but enough for blood to start streaming, "Damn it!" Kyoya said.
Tamaki helped his fried to his feet, and everyone kept running until they got to the main entrance.
"Masters? What's going on?" The twin maids asked.
"Just tell everyone to get out, now!" Hikaru yelled.
"You can all take the cars and limos just get to safety now!" Kaoru said.
"But what about you all?" The maids asked worriedly.
"You should all get out of here too!" Crona yelled.
"Like hell-"
"Haruhi enough!" Crona yelled angrily causing everyone to go silent again. "You all need to go, Kyoya's already hurt, I can handle this!"
"Crona your still injured." Tamaki said.
Crona just glared, and forced Ragnarok to appear. The hosts didn't say another word, and followed the maids.
"He's right, your body isn't ready for a fight this huge." Ragnarok said.
"Shut up, it's not like you care anyway." Crona said as he ran out the front doors.
The hosts ran down the halls, and Haruhi noticed Excalibur sipping tea in the window seal.
"Excalibur!" Haruhi yelled, getting the sword's attention.
"I'm enjoying this nice Jasmine tea, what do you want? Another story, or perhaps another serenade?"
"No! Excalibur can you transport yourself back to Crona's world?" Haruhi asked or more so yelled.
Excalibur sipped his tea again, and a moment later, "Yes of course Fool, I am the Holy Sword Excalibur!"
"Excalibur can you go to Lord Death, and send help?" Haruhi asked.
"Haruhi, are you sure? Maybe Crona can do this on his own?" Kaoru asked.
"No. Crona is still injured, and what stamina he does have is from adrenaline. If he doesn't get help he could collapse in battle." Mori said with a stern expression.
"Takashi is right." Honey said in a frighteningly stern tone.
Excalibur took another moment, "Alright, but only if you agree to a five hour story telling party at the time and location of my choice?" Excalibur exclaimed.
"Whatever you want, just hurry!" Haruhi said, and within a second Excalibur disappeared with a burst of lightning.
"You guys go on ahead, I'm going to go make sure Crona is ok." Haruhi tried to run back towards Crona, but was pulled back by Tamaki.
"Haruhi don't you dare, you'll get hurt!" Tamaki said, hoping his words would get threw to her.
"Senpai, I'm not going anywhere, at least not until the backup shows!"
Tamaki gritted his teeth, "Haruhi what can you do?" Tamaki yelled, but instantly regretted it when he saw Haruhi's worried expression turn angry.
"Anything but run away, and hope it will be ok!" Haruhi began running again with Tamaki screaming after her.
"You all keep going, and get Kyoya to the doctors!" Tamaki told the other hosts.
"But Boss-" Hikaru started.
"That's an order!" Tamki yelled, "I'm going to get Haruhi, but I need to know your all safe too, now go!" Tamaki said as he raced after Haruhi.
Crona was thrown into the side of the mansion, his wound from Hamelin had already reopened, and he could feel his mind starting to get fuzzy as he looked up at the two corrupted souls.
The larger of the two was about 10 feet tall and 5 feet wide, his teeth were jagged, and his eyes were completely black. He took a piece of the rubble in his large hands, and swallowed it whole. A second later he opened his mouth and pulled out a thick meat cleaver, while smiling evilly at Crona.
The shorter of the two was almost as slender as Hamelin, but kept his head, and most of his body, covered in a dark robe and hood. The only part of him shown was his human looking hands clutching a bow and arrow.
Crona got to his feet, and pointed Ragnarok at the two. He started running forward.
The two souls stared at him, and then abruptly turned their attention upward. Crona stopped and turned slightly, before he heard the 'woosh' sound of an arrow hitting the wall behind him. The wall fell slightly, and Crona looked in horror as he saw Tamaki and Haruhi standing behind the wall.
"Looks like this won't be as boring as we thought, ey Sherwood?" The larger one spoke, but the smaller remained silent.
Crona acted fast, and took a hand full of his black blood that was pouring from his stomach, "Bloody Needle!" He shouted momentarily distracting the two as the blood hit the ground.
"Get out of here!" Crona yelled as the needles shot up, and nearly stabbed into the corrupted souls.
"No!" Haruhi yelled back.
"Why? Why won't you just listen?" Crona shouted as the kishin eggs cut threw his blood. "Bloody Needle!" Crona used the same move once more, but it still wasn't doing much good.
Crona looked up, and couldn't wrap his head around why they weren't running? Why? For him? All he does is get people into trouble! They stand beside him not caring if their in a crossfire, and then still call him friend after everything!
"Please just go, I can't hold them off!"
"Don't worry about us!" Haruhi yelled.
"Haruhi is right Crona!" Tamaki shouted back.
"Don't worry?" Crona mumbled as he saw the corrupted souls break his needles again. "How can I not worry? I just wanted to prove I could do this. I wanted t keep everyone safe." Crona stood straight, and narrowed his vision at the two kishins, not knowing what to do. "Why?" Crona's vision went fuzzy and he started to feel his mind drift. He started thinking about all his memories of the DWMA, Steins classes, basketball with Black Star, Soul, and Tsubaki, shopping with the Thompson sisters and kid, and sitting with Maka during the sunsets."I don't want to go back to being alone all the time." Crona's thoughts drifted to his time in the Host Club, and realized how special those moments were too, "And I want more moment with all my friends."
"Then you're going to get them." Crona was brought back to reality, and saw Tamaki and Haruhi standing wright beside him. "You have us, so stop thinking your alone." Tamaki smiled, but kept his eyes on the kishin that were walking closer.
"Let us help you. We're not much, but we're going to stand by you either way." Haruhi said.
Crona looked at both of them, and for the first time since he came to this world, or even before, he didn't feel like he was standing alone.
"Well if the choices are you two and lousing, I guess you'll do." Ragnarok said before his arms appeared on Crona's back holding the dual swords, "Personally, I would have preferred the bunny kid and the tall one, but beggars can't be choosers." Ragnarok handed both blades to Haruhi and Tamaki, who looked at them in confusion, "Just don't die you idiots." Ragnarok said.
Haruhi and Tamaki gulped before they held the swords in both hands. They both looked at one another, and their expressions turned serious as they faced the kishin eggs.
"Like he said, please just don't die." Crona whispered before the larger kishin egg ran towards them at full speed.
