A/N: Here he comes! Bankotsu is going to be swinging around his sword now… That sounded dirty. Anyway, thanks for the reviews so far and please keep them coming!

11. Memory
He remembered when he first laid eyes on her; Kagome was ethereal and he'd wanted her almost immediately. Desperately, even. Yet, she wasn't even in his reach because he was the 'bad guy'. Even if he wasn't, she'd never really considered him as a suitor due to his corpse/undead status, and that made his heart break just a little more.
Every time Bankotsu saw Inuyasha wrap his arms around Kagome, be it to save her, to comfort her or just out of love, he felt this insane jealousy that made him want to kill the half-breed. That's how he came across Naraku.
Desires curling in his stomach and frustration left unresolved, he needed a way out; a release.
His motives for attacking Inuyasha and kidnapping Kagome were suddenly justified.
Bankotsu remembered the terrified look in her eyes: stormy, swirling and ever-so mesmerising. He recalled how soft her flesh had felt beneath his hands; her cheeks were cold but full of colour, her chest, oh, her chest! So plump and perky. Her body had been lovely, delicious and addictive; he couldn't stand the fact that once he had a taste, he wanted more.
Yet he was a lost cause because he had ruined his chance the moment he touched her. After what had happened, Bankotsu had let her go, her pleas and terrified screams forever engrained in his mind.
Remorse and shame had caused him to pull away from Naraku. He had allowed his desires to consume him and he had approached with the stealth of the killer he was. He destroyed everything he touched; her light had disappeared and he was the one to blame.
As I lay dying, I will remember; forever; eternally; infinitely. Forever and always this quilt will haunt me, even in death there is no reprieve. No peace.
Ever.
Because I will remember.
Slightly dark and if offensive, I am sorry. I'll up the rating just to be safe. Review, please!
