Whatcha guys think? Are you liking where it's heading?

"Tyler, you can't just go out and do that!" Matt tried to reason with his friend. "This is Care we're talking about. You can't go out and try to find a way to kill her. She's a friend."

"A friend that could kill a lot of our friends Donovan. Don't forget that!" Tyler jabbed his index finger into Matt's chest.

"I'm not, but shouldn't we at least try to find a cure or at least find out more information about what this is? I mean, Elijah didn't even seem to know a whole lot about it and face it Ty, he's been around the block." Mat's blue eyes locked onto Tyler with a reasonableness that even Tyler couldn't deny.

"We will look more into this, but I'm not going to stand by and die because we let the virus spread." Tyler grabbed his car keys and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" Matt asked quickly.

"To find some answers and to build support. If we have to put Care down, I'm going to need some more help." Tyler reached for the door handle and began to open it.

"Should you be going out like that? I mean, what if you are infected with this virus? Aren't you spreading it?" Matt tried to slow his friend down. Even he could see the unreasonableness to Tyler's ideas.

"I'm not going to sit back and wait to die Matt." Tyler glared at his friend before inching his way out of the discussion.

"You're no better than Klaus then Tyler." Matt said clearly right after.

Tyler paused. His gaze dropped to the ground for a moment. He didn't have a response for Matt. He couldn't justify what he was doing when he didn't know the exact affect or consequences that were around it.

Matt watched Tyler walk out the door. A combination of fear and anger coursed through him. He couldn't let Tyler do something stupid. He may have finally lost it and Matt couldn't let his friend suffer the consequences from not thinking something through.

Reaching for the phone Matt dialed a phone number as quickly as he could. It rang a few times before a strong accent greeted him. "Rebekah?"

"I don't have the time to talk right now Matt so whatever you have to say spit it out or hang the hell up." Her voice was stressed.

"How's Care doing?" Matt's voice cracked a little bit. This was not his original purpose for calling but he couldn't hold back his worry.

He could hear the hesitation in Rebekah's voice before she answered. "She's not well Matt."

"How bad Bek?" He ran his fingers through his hair.

"It's bad Matt." She sniffled and clearly was trying to hold back the panic in her voice. "Why are you calling Matt?"

"Ummm…it's about Tyler." Matt peeked out the window to make sure the young hybrid wasn't around. "He's gathering supporters to come for Caroline if he thinks it's necessary."

"Of all the stupid, foolish things…" Rebekah's voice cut off. "He's going to spread the virus to everyone! When did he leave Tyler?"

"A few minutes ago. I don't know if it'll come to anything, but I figured you guys should be warned." Matt was still unsure of his decision to call her, but he couldn't let them kill Caroline. She didn't deserve that.

"It'll take him some time to find supporters, but he's young and foolish. When he comes we'll be ready for him." Rebekah's voice had a new strength about it as she hung up the phone.

Matt set his phone down and streaked his fingers through his hair. Everything had to be all right. There's no way he was going to lose all of his friends because someone started something out of bitterness toward a creature that his friends couldn't help being.

He knew that he had to do something. He paced back and forth. His human strength wasn't exactly a way to outmatch anything supernatural, but maybe he could be of some help.

Quickly he grabbed a beach bag and ran into his room to grab a few things. "Care's not going to be alone." He threw the bag together as fast as could and grabbed enough ammunition to hold off a decent amount of the supernatural.

"You should have chose differently Tyler." Matt grabbed his rifle and ran out the door. If Tyler was going to bring a death squad then the least he could do was do everything to put a stop to it. He was going to protect Caroline until he could talk some sense into Tyler. They didn't turn their backs on friends. Not now, not ever.
