So here we go, I know it's been a while and this is a short one but bear with me. :)

Sacks. We were in sacks and the trolls had half of the company on a spit over the fire. This was not what I signed up for when I said I wanted to go on this quest. So far, these trolls had thrown me at Kili, almost ripped poor Bilbo's limbs off and restrained us all, either on the spit or in sacks next to the tree. I had my head rested on Thorin's leg, which wasn't the most comfortable place to rest, but no-one seemed to care as I put my head back and tried to wriggle out of the wool bag I was in.

"Will you stay still please?" I heard Thorin whisper as I felt the pressure of Bilbo's head from my calf as he stood. A thought suddenly occured to me and I put my lips almost together and whispered to the only other member of the company who wasn't indisposed. Peeta. I used the same tune Rue had taught me years ago and a second later I heard the tune tweeted through the trees. Mockingjay's.

Bilbo had decided to try and delay our deaths by attempting to talk with the trolls. Unfortunately, they did not believe what he was saying and attempted to eat the biggest member of the company.

"Stop! Not that one! He- He's.. Infected!" both Bombur and the troll that held him turned to look at the Hobbit. "He's got worms in his... tubes!" The troll immediately threw the robust dwarf awaway and he landed directly on top of Oin and Kili, who shouted at the impact.

"In fact they all are!" Excuse me? Infected?

"Bilbo! What are you doing!?" I hissed at the Hobbit. He looked at me apologetically, and I saw him wink slightly. Oh... Clever Hobbit.

"Katniss." I heard the whisper from the trees behind us and knew immediately from the sound who it was.

"Peeta." I sighed to myself, grateful that he was still alive, not having seen him since before all of this. I felt Thorin shuffle underneath me and I tried to move off of the wriggling dwarf who was yelling at the Hobbit for accusing the whole company of having parasites. I gave him a clear look that, i hoped, signified that Bilbo was trying to buy us some time. He seemed to understand as he kicked his leg, unfortunately the one my head was resting on, giving me a headache and his youngest nephew a bruise.

The other dwarves quieted for a moment before erupting in shouts, each claiming to have the biggest parasites. To me, it sounded like competition as shouts of "I've got the biggest parasites,, I've got huge parasites!" and "I've got parasites as big as my arm!" filled the clearing and confusing the trolls even more than they were, having already fought over how to eat us, not deciding on anything due to Bilbo's interference.

While listening to the dwarves yelling, I had not noticed any other movement until I heard the shout from behind the Hobbit.

"Hey! Over here!" he shouted. My eyes flew open as I realised it was Peeta. What was he doing!? He's going to get himself killed. "Come over here!" He kept yelling.

A shadow flickered over my face and i turned to find out what it was. A flash of grey and the hint of a stick of wood and then it was gone.

The trolls were getting dangerously close to Peeta now, I was getting worried. If we were going to get out of this alive, I was going to kill him!

"The dawn will take you all!" A booming voice yellling from a large rock that seemed to obscure the sun from the area. I squinted to see who it was but the figure lifted what looked like a staff and slammed it back down, breaking the rock, clean in two and allowing the sunlight to beam through and directly onto the trolls, who proceeded to turn to solid rock right in front of our eyes. I made out the figure of Gandalf after that show on the rock as he climbed down and proceeded to blow out the fire, somehow. I don't know how he did it but he's a wizard and we didn't really question him very often.

It took longer to get the dwarves from the spit over the fire than it did to undo the ties on the dwarf-sacks and even longer for everyone to find and adorn all their clothing and weapons. My bow had been thrown against a tree and was cracked down the entirity of it. Bofur assured me it was fixable once we found a suitable place that he could work in.

I saw the Durin's walk up the hill and followed as all the others did. I walked to Kili and asked what was going on, to which, he replied that we were searching for a troll hoard.

Eventually we found it, and boy did it stink. Thorin, Gandalf, Dwalin, Nori, Gloin, Bofur and myself entered the smelly cave. There was an enormous pile of gold and golden items, such as goblets and plates and so forth, but the pile of gold was dwarfed compared with the amount of weapons the trolls had assumed over the time they'd been here. I found a beautiful bow, elven if I was not mistaken. I slung it over my back and turned towards a pile of swords in the corner, holding my arm over my nose to cover the smell. I found a sharp red sword in the pile which looked completely out of place, along with another, sword, long and thin, with a jewelled hilt. People of importance once held those swords. I glanced at Thorin who had picked up an elven blade and probably didn't realise it.

Smirking at him, I walked out of the cave in search of Peeta. I had a new shiny sword for him.

There we go. :) next one will be longer I promise. :)

Let me know what you thought.
