A/N: Chapter 11! This one doesn't have much going on but it is pretty important for the next few chapters. Enjoy!

Flashback to six years ago…
It's Yuna's 12th birthday party. All of our classmates are here, talking about all the middle school drama that goes on. I just try my best to stay out of it. I'm sitting on the couch talking to Hayner, Pence, and Olette.
"So Snow's grounded for a good while now" Hayner tells me.
"Yeah, same with Axel" I respond.
"Did you guys even know that they smoked weed?" asks Olette.
"Not until our parents caught them" says Hayner.
"Yeah, I'm never smoking weed" I say.
Everyone nods in agreement.
"Hey everyone! It's time for "Spin the Bottle!" shouts Rikku.
"Someone is a bit excited" Pence jokes as we join the group sitting in the center of the living room.
Everyone gets in their spots and the game begins. The birthday girl ended up kissing Hayner. Paine had the kiss Pence, and so on, all while in the closet for seven minutes. I wonder who I'm gonna end up kissing when it's my turn?
"Roxas, it's your go" Hayner tells me.
Speaking of my turn.
I grab the bottle and spin it. I'm actually pretty nervous. Truth is, I haven't even kissed a girl yet. I hope they don't make fun of me and tell everyone if I suck. Shit, this was a bad idea.
"Ooooooo" the crowd of kids said in unison.
I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I didn't even realize the bottle stopped spinning. I look up to see who and it's the last person I would've ever guessed.
"Roxas and Namine!" someone shouts.
I've never actually talked to this girl. I have her in like two of my classes but that's about it. She seems pretty nervous about the whole thing too.
"All right you two, time to go into the closet" Yuna tells us.
We slowly stand up and make our way to the closet. All eyes are on us. I can hear Hayner making jokes with Pence and Olette while everyone else was still oooing.
"Let me get that for you!" Hayner shouts, running to the closet door and opening it with a giant grin. I shoot him a death glare.
"Have fun you two!" he says after we step into the closet, closing the door.
It was now just Namine and I. We both just kind of stood there, nervously laughing at the whole situation.
"Soo…" I start.
"Soo…"
We both just stare at each other.
"So um, how do you wanna do this?" I ask.
"I don't know. How do you usually do it?"
That's the thing, I don't.
"Um, well…"
I try to come up with something to say to impress her, but nothing comes to mind. Shit she's gonna know that I haven't kissed anyone.
"Is this your first time?" she politely asks.
Damn, how'd she know?
"How'd you know?" I nervously ask.
"You seem pretty nervous"
She's good.
"You caught me" I tell her.
She giggles softly.
"It's okay. I haven't kissed anyone either" she admits.
"Really?!"
I'm shocked. But I guess it isn't that uncommon. I mean, we just started middle school.
"Well, that's kind of a relief" I add.
She giggles again.
"So, what do we do?" I ask.
I feel so dumb asking some many questions.
"I don't know. I mean… do you want to?" she asks.
Shit, I'm so nervous!
"I mean, sure. Do you?"
She slowly nods her head yes.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yes Roxas. Honestly, it's better you than anyone else"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, neither one of us has kissed anyone before. So it kind of takes away the pressure of trying to be a pro at it" she explains.
Damn, she's smart. She makes a really good point. I don't have to try to impress her or anything, because we both don't even know what to expect from it.
"You make a good point" I tell her.
We both just stand there, smiling at each other. I don't feel as nervous as I was earlier.
"So, let's do this" I say.
She giggles again.
"Okay…"
We both take a few steps closer to each other. We stare at each other, both laughing at the whole thing. I can't believe this is gonna happen. Damn, I should probably just stop thinking so much.
We both close our eyes and slowly lean in. Our lips meet. Suddenly, all the nervousness went away. We're both just kind of in the moment. We slowly start to make out. Nothing rough or crazy like in the movies, just simply brushing them against each other. It felt good. Really good actually. After what felt like forever, we broke apart.
We're both smile and start softly chuckling.
"That was nice" she nervously tells me.
"Yeah it was"
We continue to just stand there, smiling at each other. Though I didn't know her that well, I felt comfortable around her.
00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
"Alright Roxas, clock out!" Peter shouts from the back room.
I look at the time on my phone; it's noon. Finally! I clock out on the register as Ariel walks up.
"Time for you to go?" she asks.
"Yup. Hate to leave you with all these customers" I joke.
There was not one single customer in the store. She giggles at this.
"Cute" she says.
"I try"
We both just kind of look at each other, smiling. Maybe I actually have a chance with this girl. Shit, she'd be one of the finest girls I've ever hooked up with.
"Hey guys" Aladdin says walking over, ruining the moment.
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
I walk out of the café whiling taking my apron off. I wonder what I'm gonna do now. Pence is working on some project and Hayner is still sleeping. I pull out my phone and scroll through my contacts. Axel is at work. I'm not trying to hang out with Rikku. It'd be weird to just call Yuna. Fuck, who else is there to call? As I scroll up and down, I eventually land on Namine.
I haven't seen her since the time at Sunset Hill. And I did say I was going to call her. But would she find that weird? Eh, fuck it why not. I click her name and wait for her to answer. After a few rings, she answers.
"Hey" she softly greets.
"Hey, how's it going?"
"Just sitting at home, not doing much"
"Well we should definitely change that. You want to me up?" I ask.
"You want to hang out?" she asks, almost confused.
"Yeah, why not? I said I would call you to chill one of these days" I remind her.
She softly giggles.
"True. Um, sure. Let's hang out"
"Awesome. You wanna meet up at Sunset Hill again?" I ask.
"Sounds good"
"Alright. I'll head over in a bit"
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
After going home to change and taking the train, I made it over there within 40 minutes. She was already there waiting for me. The two of us were just talking about TTU and how the experience will be.
"It's going to be so weird living on my own" she tells me.
"Maybe at first. I think you'll get use to it quickly though"
"Maybe. Aren't you nervous about that?" she asks.
"Not really. I just hope my roommate isn't annoying"
She giggles.
"I see. I guess you're not the same nervous Roxas from before" she tells me, giving me a sly smile.
I think I have a good idea on what she's referring to. I couldn't help but smile either.
"Oh, you wanna bring that up now?" I tease.
"I don't know what you're talking about" she jokes.
"I think you do. And if I remember correctly, you were pretty nervous too"
"True. I don't think I was the one with sweaty palms though" she teases.
"Oh, so it's gonna be like that?"
She proudly nods her head.
We both just laugh. I haven't thought about that in a while. We haven't spoken that much in middle school or high school, yet we were each other's first kiss. And now here we are laughing about it. It's funny how things work out sometimes. I never thought Namine and I would ever talk again after high school.
"Since we're on the topic, was I any good?" she asks.
"Oh no, god awful! You used so much tongue!" I joke.
She playfully pushes my arm.
"Shut up, no I didn't!"
I chuckle.
"You were pretty good" I answer.
She smiles.
"What about me?" I ask.
"You weren't too bad. Decent"
"Decent, really" I chuckle.
She nods.
"Well, I've had plenty of practice since then" I defend.
"Oh trust me, I know" she says, rolling her eyes.
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Roxas, I've caught you making out with several girls around school"
I softly chuckle at the thought.
"Mainly Olette. But when you two weren't together, you'd be with someone else" she adds.
Damn, I haven't thought about Olette in a while. I've been so preoccupied with other shit that my mind just sort of drifted away from that girl. I wonder how she's doing with Zack. Not that I care that much, just curious.
"Sorry"
I snap out of my thoughts and look at Namine.
"Sorry for?"
"Mentioning Olette. You seemed distracted so I thought it bothered you" she explains.
"No, you're fine! I was thinking about something else" I assure her.
"Like what?"
"Well… Olette. But not in bad way! I was just thinking random shit about her"
"Oh, gotcha"
We both smile and then stare off into the sunset. I haven't done this in a while. The sunset is so beautiful.
"Do you miss her?" Namine asks.
"Not really. I haven't really thought about her until now"
"So, you've moved on?"
Have I? I mean, Olette and I were pretty serious. A relationship like is hard to let go of, but I've fucked around with so many other girls and kept my mind on other things. But then again, she still manages to pop up in my mind from time-to-time. Kind of like right now.
"Not really" I answer.
Just thought I should say that to avoid the topic.
"That's good I guess"
"What about you? Do you miss anyone?" I ask.
"Of course. I miss all my friends that left to college"
"No, I mean like a significant other?"
"Oh. Well, not really. I've never had a really serious relationship" she answers.
"Really?"
"Really. Just hasn't happened"
"Well, it'll happen one day" I assure her.
She doesn't say anything. We continue to stare off into the Sunset.
"Hey Roxas?"
"Yeah?"
I turn to her.
"Thanks for calling me" she nervously tells me.
I couldn't help but smile.
"I really needed to get out the house" she adds.
"No problem. I like talking to you. Besides, we're gonna have to get use to each other before school" I tell her.
"True" she giggles.
"Hey actually, who are you going to the Twilight Festival with?" I ask.
"Oh I'm not going" she tells me.
I give her a confused look. Everyone in Twilight Town goes.
"How come?"
"Well all my friends kind of just left for early classes, so I don't really have anyone to go with" she explains.
"How about you go with me?" I ask.
"That'd be great. I'd really like that" she tells me.
God, she's so sweet.
"Great! I'll ask Hayner to pick you up before we leave"
"Sounds good" she tells me.
We both just smile and stare back off into the sunset. I don't know what it is about her, but I just really like talking to her. Kind of makes me wonder what would've happened if we chilled more in high school.
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
After hanging out with Namine, Pence called and asked me to meet up with him and Hayner at the top of the clock tower. I got a sea salt ice cream before heading there. I haven't had one in a while. While at the clock tower, Hayner is explaining his new little situation.
"She started yelling, and then I started yelling. She then ended up just kicking me out the house" Hayner finishes.
"Damn, that sucks" I tell him.
I feel bad that his mom kicked him out, but I can see why she did it. Hayner is reckless. He thinks he's invincible.
"So where you staying out now?" I ask.
"At Snow's house. At least until I figure out what to do"
"You think there's a good chance of you moving back in?" asks Pence.
"Maybe. I don't think I'd want to though. Her and I just argue all the time, it's getting pretty annoying" he explains.
"It happens man" I tell her.
I finish my ice cream. I look at the stick to see if it says winner, but nothing. I throw it off the tower and lay back.
"True. Besides, with what I'm doing now, I'll be able to make enough money to buy my own place AND go to school" he tells us.
"What are you doing now?" I ask.
Hayner stays quiet for a moment.
"Alright, promise you won't say anything to anyone. Not even Yuna and them"
"I don't even talk to them that much Hayner" I assured him.
Pence agreed.
"I'm just saying, I trust you guys"
We stays quiet for another moment.
"I'm moving some coke with Snow" he tells us.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty surprised.
"Coke. Seriously?" I ask.
"Yeah. Just a bit, not too much"
"Hayner, a bit is enough to fuck you over" Pence tells him.
"Look, I'm low key. No one even knows that I serve weed. I'm gonna be fine" he tells him.
Axel was right. Snow wasn't the best guy to be around with. That funny vibe I got around him makes sense now.
"Fuck man, just get a real job. It's a lot safer than serving that shit" I suggest.
"And what, get paid minimum wage like you and Pence? I'm sorry but fuck that! It'll take me forever to get through school and get my own place with that money" he explains.
I didn't even bother saying more. There was no getting through to him. Like I said before, Hayner thinks he's invincible. I seriously hope he doesn't fuck himself over with that shit.
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
A/N: You can only imagine how that situation is gonna end. I tried making this chapter longer than the last one. Hopefully you all enjoyed it! The next chapter should be a good one. It's gonna take place at the Twilight Festival. I'm happy a lot of you have stuck around to read the rest, I'm trying to update as soon as I can.
Chapter 12 might be up within the next few days so look out for that one. Until then, have a good one guys!
