While they waited for Cap, Natasha, and Wilson to make their way to them, Sel had a lot to process, but she already had one thing on her mind: She didn't want to be like this, she didn't want to be like this, there had to be a way for them to remove their energy source without causing permanent damage or killing her.

She went up to them with a new type of confidence.

"I don't want to be this powerful, I don't think I could handle that... you want your energy source back, so take it." They were taken aback by this. Tharno and Kiresa shared a look of uncertainty.

"That would put your life on the line, kill you even." Sel shrugged indifferently.

"What more could I lose?" Kiresa looked at her much like a mother would.

"You have friends who care about you, one of which is ready to die for you, and you have so much to discover about yourself still, I don't want to see you throw that all away because you're afraid of yourself."

"Of course I'm afraid of myself! All I've caused is damage, all my powers are destructive, nothing I've done can stop that, except removing them. Surely there's a way to do that?" The look in her eyes was absolutely begging, wanting them to fix her somehow.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Again, what more can I lose? Just do it, bring it home, you have a need for it, it's caused nothing but pain for me…" The King and Queen shared another uncertain glance at each other.

"It's going to be risky, are you sure?"

"Do it." With that, they helped her down onto a bed and using some tech from their home planet, they used it as a channel to help them extract Sel's power. Tharno prayed to his gods above that this worked like they hoped, and got to work. They also used some sort of tech to minimize the pain Sel would feel during this as much as possible, regulating her heart and blood pressure, doing its best to prevent anything fatal from occurring. But, it soon became apparent that this was soon becoming too much for them to handle. Despite a team effort between Tharno and Kiresa, it was a lot for even them. Eventually, ¾'s of the way through the process, they became too exhausted to continue, and they stopped.

When Sel woke up, she saw Cap, Natasha, and Wilson, Chris, Des, Lucas, Elisa and the king and queen watching her.

"Ugh… my head, oh god everything hurts…"

"Can you stand?" Chris asked, holding an arm out for her, but Sel didn't even have the energy to lift up her arm. Tharno spoke up.

"We extracted as much as we could with our own energy, but there was too much in there that we could handle, you have ¼ of what you originally had, so you still have a lot of power, but it's less major now...We simply cannot remove all of it, it would kill you and it would disturb the forces inside. You must rest. But I'll tell you this, you're still pretty powerful, you can still open up wormholes, but only ones the same size that Kiresa and I can open up, I think that's enough for your body to handle now and work with as you grow. Your powers grow with you."

"We still have a lot to work through." Steve commented, "Elisa and Lucas told us everything."

"You guys got into a lot of shit the past 28 hours," Wilson added.

"Did it take you that long to track us down?" Des asked.

"No, but we wanted to give you time to figure out what to do and how to work it out, and as it seems, you got pretty busy. Fury will want to hear about this." Natasha replied, to which Elisa just nodded. She wasn't sure whether this meant she was in deep trouble or not.

"We're taking you back to DC to get this settled straight." Steve said, "no sidetracking." He looked to Tharno and Kiresa, "and I think Fury will want a word with you both personally." Tharno shrugged.

"Whatever." Kiresa elbowed him.

"We're willing to work with you, for Seleni's sake."

"Please just call me Sel," Sel told her with a tired smile.

"Alright, let's get everyone on the quinjets. We'll continue this later."
