Chapter 11: Så länge jag har dig

It had been a few days since Tino had last stepped into the café where Elizabeta worked. No that wasn't true. He'd gone in several times after he'd talked to Elizabeta, however he'd arrive when Elizabeta wasn't working. He didn't truly expect Elizabeta to be working when he'd enter the little café late after work with Berwald. Still he missed seeing Elizabeta busing the tables or talking to her. Berwald warned him many times after his talk with Elizabeta to not get too attached to her,she was a stranger after all. A kind and wonderful stranger who took time to talk when Berwald had left that day. He wanted to be her friend, but that could never work out. There was no room for friends. There was things he had to do which her friendship would interfere with. Friendships often did that. He'd learned that lesson at a very young age. Learned what happens when friendships interfere and the consequences of said friendship. there was no point to make friends. What happened all those years ago would end any relationship he dared to make. The past often had ways of tearing things apart, especially the things he cared about the most. Destroying everything except his relationship with Berwald. Berwald had been there since the beginning. They both received horrible punishments for that friendship they made all those years ago. Even now they were still paying for it. The only thing that made it bearable was having Berwald besides him.

"What's wrong?" Berwald asked, heading Tino a cup of milk.

"The better question is what isn't."

"Having milk and cookies with me." Berwald said, placing a fresh batch of cookies.

"I love your sweets." He said, taking a bite of a cookie. "Nothing seems wrong with you except.."

"Ya." Berwald nodded.

" I don't feel right about what we are going to do. I mean can't they just let it go? It's been years. It's wrong. Why do we have to do this?"

"It's our job."

"Is that what you tell yourself? I can't take it anymore. I can't take this...job anymore."He said, rubbing the spot behind his ear. "I hate that I brought you all this trouble."

"It's not your fault."

"Do you think I was wrong for what I did?"

"You weren't wrong."

"But because of me..they.. they..." He sobbed.

"Tino." Berwald said, cupping Tino's face. " I never blamed you for anything that happened. They were the ones who separated us for five years after they were done with their sick game. I only blame myself for not preventing bad things from happening to you. I regret not fighting back when they ripped us apart."

"How can you say that?"

"Because after everything I still have you." Berwald whispered before kissing Tino.

"We may have become their lap dogs but it doesn't matter as long as I have you. "

Having Berwald there made it feel possible to put up with anything they were forced to dp. One day he hoped they could run away, far away from the horrible company they worked for. With the more and more dirty work they were getting closer to buy a ticket to freedom. It didn't matter at all whether their fathers were once important people within the company, that time had long gone. There was nothing keeping them there except for the control the company had on them.

"If I go through with this.."

"You must."

"I'll miss you."

"I'll be thinking of you."

"At least this time we won't be separated for five years. "

"Me too!" Berwald smiled.

"Don't do that!"He screamed.

"Ursäkta."

He hated the way that Berwald's smile freaked him out. It wasn't his fault for having a scary face. Sometimes he wondered if that hard face was a result from what happened in the past.

"Tino."

"We should spend most of the time we still have left together."

"I..."

"Don't make me eat all this by myself." He said shoving a cookie in his boyfriend's mouth.

He didn't want to talk about it anymore. Didn't want to think about ir. All he wanted was to enjoy this moment in their dinky apartment. The apartment they had gotten together. It made them proud to own this place, even with the dripping faucet and lack of hot water.

"One day we'll have a real house." Berwald said.

"I hate it when you read my mind. I can never tell what you're thinking. "

"I don't need to read your mind to know what you're thinking."

"I wish I could say the same."

Berwald gave him that look. The look that said he was the only one who understood the slight changes in that hard face.

"Rakastan sinua."

"Jag älskar dig."

As he pressed his lips to Berwald's he could taste the sweetness of the homemade cookies he loved so much. A slight intoxicating sweetness that he needed more than ever. He wanted to be consumed by that sweetness so he would always remember this moment. Berwald needed this too. He could tell by the way Berwald's tongue danced with his. The way Berwald's stared lovingly into his eyes when they broke for air. They didn't need to say anything , only feel the strong desire to be together. Slowly and gently Berwald's hands moved down his neck sending goosebumps as it rested on the first button of his shirt. Berwald's eyes asked for permission, which he gave without a second thought. Nervously he unbuttoned Berwald's shirt as his own were tugged at. He could hear his heartbeat echo off the thin walls of the apartment, so loud that it blocked out the constant drip of the faucet. Every inch of his body yearned to be touched. caressed in the gentle way that made him want to cry. As their shirts fell to the floor, Berwald gently get him down on the couch. Safely splayed on the couch Berwald began kissing a trail from his neck down to his naval. His heart raced as Berwald began to unbutton his pants. In a blink of an eye they were completely exposed to one another. He couldn't look anywhere except Berwald's naked torso. And even that was too much. There was no doubt that if the apartment wasn't so dim light Berwald could see just how red his face was. How long could they stay like this? Each hesitant to act without the others consent. Everything exposed. No barriers to hide behind.

"Berwald."

There was no more he needed to say as Berwald lathered his fingers with lube and placed them near his entrance, making circular motions. The coldness of the lube distracted him as one finger slipped in and then another followed, spreading him. His hips buckled as Berwald hit a special spot. A whimper escaped as that spot was hit again. His breath caught in this chest as those fingers were removed and replaced by Berwald's hard member .

"Berwald." He gasped as it slid into him.

This is what he to be this close to Berwald. Five years had been far too long. Now they were finally doing this. Finally joining to together in a way that brought him so much happiness. He didn't want to be separated from Berwald asian. Not even for a second. He wanted every fiber of his being to hold on to this feeling of wholeness. Thrust the memory of this endless love into his body. Letting the love be pounded into him he cried out Berwald's name.

"Tino."

The sound of his name caused tears to stream down his face. He loved the way his name sounded as it escaped from Berwald's mouth. Loved the perfect union of their bodies. And the kisses that were placed all over his body.

"Rakastan sinua." He cried as that sensitive spot was continuously pounded.

"Tino."

They both came in that moment. Berwald's love filling him. Satisfying the loneliness that had crept into their hearts over those years of separation.

"Jag älskar dig." Berwald said, collapsing into him.

Those strong arms wrapped around him as they fell into a peaceful sleep.

. . . . .

Berwald woke to Tino in his arms. He smiled at the peaceful look on his sleeping face. He wished there was more times like this. Tino's usual cheerful self had slowly disappeared because of work. If only there was a way to prevent Tino from having to do this upcoming job. He didn't want to leave Tino alone. Constantly he thought about fighting the assignment, but that would never fix anything. It would only make things worse for the two of them. They couldn't define their superiors no matter what. It had taken rigorous tasks to prove that they were more than their guinea pigs. If he fought back now those five years would've been for nothing. All the horrors they had gone through would be repeated ten times over. There was no way that he would let Tino go through that again. As long as things went according to plan they could be free. They wouldn't have to be under the company's thumb. It wasn't as if this job was more dangerous than the previous ones ,yet he worried. This one job would end everything once and for all. Too much was riding on this.

"Morning." He said as Tino's eyes blinked open.

"Good morning." Tino smiled.

With the morning light streaming through the blinds he could see every detail of Tino's exposed see the multiple red marks he'd left behind. He blushed at the sight of the numerous marks.

"Shower." He said, awkwardly lifting himself from Tino.

From his new position he could see even more of Tino. The red marks, the small spots of cum combined with Tino's dazed eyes entice him to take Tino again.

"Berwald?"

He didn't know what to say. Last night he felt drawn to be with Tino, but now with everything so clear he felt hesitant.

"It's okay." Tino said, spreading his legs as much as the couch would allow him.

As he leaned in to kiss his adorable boyfriend his phone went off. He wanted to ignore it. Tino begged him to ignore it.

"Ursäkta." He said, getting up to grab the phone.

"When I call I expect you to answer!" Yelled the man on the other end of the call.

"My apologies."

"I don't want your lip service! Get here right away and bring that useless friend of yours!" The man yelled before hanging up.

He hated the way people at the company still treated them as useless mistakes.

"Is everything okay?" Tino asked, slowly rising from the couch.

"We have to go in."

"It's her again isn't it? You'd think she'd stop fighting after all these years. That would be unlike her though. She wouldn't submit to them like we did."

"Tino..."

Although it was true he didn't want Tino to think less of himself. They were more than the company's lap dog.

"We should shower quick." Tino said, dragging him into the small bathroom.

The freezing cold water ruined any chance of joining their bodies they way they had last night. Instead they pressed against one another to prevent each other from turning into a human popsicle. Neither of them saying anything even as they dried, dressed, and left the apartment. It worried him not to hear Tino's voice. It was obvious that things were starting to take its toll on Tino.

. . . . .

Tino hated going back to the company. On the outside it looked like any other building, but inside it was nothing more than a place filled with people who abused him and Berwald. There was barely anyone in this place that had a heart.

"Finally you fucking show up! Go calm down that BITCH!" Their superior yelled.

"I'll see what I can do." He said, entering the room their superior came from.

"We have to stop meeting like this." The woman said, face bruised and bloody.

"Why don't you stop this already?" He asked as he cleaned her face.

"I'll never stop fighting. I can't submit to them. I will get out again."

"We want to get out too.."

"Then fight! We could get out together. Glasses over there will be all the muscle we need."

This is how the conversation always went. Although they'd been doing this for a while neither of them knew each other's name.

"And where would we go?" He asked, humoring her.

"I would go back to something important I left behind. What about you two?"

"Somewhere far away."

"That would be nice...These bastards seem in a worse mood than usual what's going on out there?"

He didn't want to tell her anything, not because he wasn't allowed to rather it had to do with the job he regret having to go through. This woman changed his life, now he was going to change hers. He doubted she would forgive him for carrying out the job and hiding things from her.

"What is it?" She asked, staring into his eyes.

"Nothing?"

"Don't fucking lie to me."

"I'm not going to be around for a while."

"Why? You're the only person I can actually talk to. No offense glasses."

"It's for a job."

"A job? More dirty work. Did you know about this glasses?"

"He knew."

"And you're not doing anything about it? You two are so stupid... How long will you be gone?"

"I don't know...I'm really sorry." He said,tearing up.

"Look I promise to tone it down if that will help you come back sooner."

"We would appreciate that." Berwald said.

"Glasses finally speaks. Alright if I'm going to act like a good girl I want you to do something for me."

"Do what?" He asked nervously.

"Relax. I just want someone to take your place so I have something to do."

"Who did you have in mind?"

"The woman who use to be in charge of me. I could use a sensible woman to talk to."

"I'll try my best."

"That's all I could ask for. I'm sorry for causing you two so much trouble...Thank you for all you've done."

"Sinun ei pitäisi kiittää meitä." He mumbled as he left the room, Berwald following behind.

. . . .

He could tell Tino was trying to be strong as they quietly exited the building. This new job would result in betraying the only friend they had in this destinies were intertwined the day they all met in that same room years ago. Things didn't seem so horrible back then, probably due to them being so young. Too young to understand why that woman was kept in that room. Only noticing that people feared and hated the woman, except the lady who took care of her. It was this person that they were looking for now. They knew the lady had became a stay at home mother shortly after the 'incident'. And at one time she was friends with both his and Tino's father. She was perhaps the only person who knew about the woman in the room. Knowledge of the truth behind the woman was kept hushed. Many employees didn't even know about her. Over the five years of separation he received some explanation for all this, yet it wasn't enough. No one would talk about it in fear of receiving punishment that he had.

"She sure knows how to live grand." Tino said as they pulled into the mansions driveway.

The property was stunning. A grand representation of how life could be if you did what you were told to in the company. He wasn't expecting this grand of a house. When he'd met the lady she seemed very down to earth. And as they rang the doorbell he didn't expect a young man to answer it. The man was younger than he was with beautiful emerald green eyes that contrasted his mess of wavy brown hair. It was possible that he was a servant since he seemed out of place in the mansion. He could've sworn he'd met this man once before, but couldn't place it.

"Could I help you?" The man asked nervously.

"We've come to speak to ."
