Seems like this chapter took some time. Well, doesn't really matter because I think that it will please you. Except that it doesn't have lemons. Shame on me.
How about some reviewers' quotes?
"So many kink Harry (he said that he doesn't like pain but i see him with the knife, him and the kid: i think that he likes to be see during sex and so many other little kink).
And poor Rivaille... I really think that he must be so disapointed to not have sex with his sexy husband (it's why he's frowning)" history

And now, I'll let you read the chapter~
CHAPTER ELEVEN: Forget about Spiderman, Superman, and Batman. I'll be your man.
Strangely enough, nothing happened during the first day of their suicidal expedition. When the sun vanished behind the remains of the Wall Maria, the soldiers were nervous and had their fingers clenched around the reins of their horses. However, no one moved when Harry suddenly stretched and threw a potato to his husband.
Rivaille frowned as he swiftly caught the potato and observed it in silence before looking at the wizard. The latter merely grinned and incited him to wake Eren.
Meanwhile, Sasha looked with hungry eyes at the innocent potato and Harry smirked.
"We'll stop in the next village," he told her with a calm voice. "So, please, bear with it."
The young girl nodded and narrowed her eyes when she finally saw the nearing of the village. It was a little place with some farms and it made her think of her village. She pushed those thoughts away and straightened her back.
Meanwhile, Eren jumped awake from the kick that his lance corporal gently gave him and looked around him with wide open eyes.
"Eh?" he exclaimed as he realised that they already were way farther than any scouts had gone. "We're already at the second village?!"
Harry hummed a vague answer and Rivaille quickly scooted around him before jumping on his horse and forcing the animal to walk next to the wizard's seat.
"What's the plan for the night?" the leader of the expedition asked in a whisper than no one except his husband heard.
"I'll sleep," Harry answered as softly as his husband. "We'll have to hid in a cellar. Once I'm awake and replenished, we'll be able to carry on."
Rivaille nodded silently and clucked his tongue before making his horse jump next to Armin's. He quickly passed the orders to the blonde and went back to his place, his dark eyes narrowed as he looked in front of him.
Harry's abilities were inestimable. Thanks to them, they had reached places in the Wall Maria that had been untouched since the breaching. It almost made him hope that this suicidal expedition would work.
The experienced soldier clenched his fists and took a deep breath. The expedition would work. If not, he'd sacrifice his comrades for nothing and that was simply unthinkable.
Harry closed his eyes and tried to ignore the pain that was slowly invading his body.
[...]
When they stopped at the next village, Harry was panting loudly and had his face scrunched like he was suffering from some bad headache.
"Potter," Rivaille said with a stern voice once their horses stopped in front of the sole farm that was still up. "We'll go to the next part of the plan."
The wizard nodded silently and with a pale face stood on the chart. He briefly stumbled before straightening his back and gritted his teeth.
"Okay," he began with a tired voice. "I really need to sleep so you'll be all alone tonight. Don't get killed."
Rivaille snorted and pushed abruptly his husband out of the cart. The wizard yelped loudly and fell on the earth. His mouth full of earth, he turned slowly his head and glared darkly at the lance corporal before trying to stand up. However, his legs were as shaky as a newborn foal and the man fell again on the floor.
Rivaille frowned and glanced at the soldiers before making his choice.
"Arlelt, Kirstein," he ordered as he observed how the wizard was now panting on the ground. "Take Potter and make sure that he eats something before he sleeps."
The two teens nodded and obeyed immediately. The dark haired man thanked them with a shaky voice and Rivaille narrowed his eyes before turning to Eren and Mikasa.
"Jaeger, get into the farm with them, you'll keep watch over them tonight. Ackerman, go hunt something and don't let titans see you. Same for you, Blouse."
Sasha yelped and made a shaky salute to her leader before following the other female while the lance corporal eyed silently the two soldiers left.
"You two," he began and he tilted briefly his head while he remembered everything that Harry had told him before they had left the Wall Rose. "Hide the horses and put their dung around the farm."
"Eh? But that will stink!" Connie complained before sobering immediately as he had saw Rivaille's killer glare.
"Did I make it clear?" the lance corporal hissed softly.
"Yes sir!" the two teenager exclaimed before running towards the horses and taking out the clothes that they had to put on the animals before leaving the Wall Rose.
"So that was why we had to put that," Historia commented as they began to scatter the dung around the farm.
"Is it a secret plan or is the lance corporal totally mad?" Connie asked her with wide open eyes.
He just couldn't grasp why their clean freak leader had decided to put all that dung around the farm where they were supposed to sleep.
Also, now that the sun was setting, he couldn't really see clearly around him and had almost fell on the dung.
"We don't know if titans could find us with their noses," Historia told him softly as she scattered more of it around the farm. "And it seems that Harry was the one who protected us today and he's now asleep. So lance corporal Rivaille is making sure that we aren't in danger tonight."
"I see," Connie bit his lips and frowned while he slipped on the dug and fell in it. "But why dung! Why not roses!"
[...]
The night passed without any problems. They ate rabbits that Sasha and Mikasa had hunted and Harry fell asleep on his plate. Rivaille didn't comment it and just rolled his eyes before taking husband to a dark corner of the farm. He put him on an old hay bale and the wizard began to softly snore once he was in it. The lance corporal sighed and turned to his squad.
The teenagers were eating in silence, their face heavily stressed and the adult wondered briefly it this was their last meal together.
"Reiss, you'll take the first turn," Rivaille said as he sat on the hay. "Jaeger, you'll be on guard the whole night."
"I'll take the second then," Connie proposed.
"No," the lance corporal refused immediately. "Kirstein will. Followed by Arlelt. I'll take the last watch."
"Eh?" the smaller teen exclaimed as his face began to darken considerably.
So he was so stupid and weak that their leader didn't even want him to keep watch.
"I'll need you tomorrow, Springer," Rivaille added coolly. "And you're dead on your feet right now. Go to sleep."
Connie's face lightened and the adult softly sighed before settling next to his supposed husband. The latter didn't even move and continued snoring softly.
The weather wasn't really warm that night so Rivaille found himself inching closer to the wizard and sighed deeply when he realised that he had now his back against the man's. Potter didn't move and the lance corporal slowly fell asleep.
[...]
"Lance corporal, it's time for your watch."
Rivaille bolted awake and frowned when he noticed that Arlelt's scared face was right in front of his.
"Where's Jaeger?" he asked with a slurred voice.
"He's..." Arlelt cleared nervously his throat and looked everywhere except at his commander.
Rivaille's frown increased and he looked around him to notice something that he hadn't realised earlier.
The rest of his squad was sleeping in the hay bale around him. It seems that the night had been colder than he had expected. But then, they had extinguished the fire earlier so they hadn't had any source of heat during the night. So, for once, he would excuse that proximity.
Except that he couldn't understand how the hell he had ended with Potter in his arms.
The wizard stretched like a happy cat in his arms and continued sleeping without knowing that a perplexed lance corporal was pondering over killing him or just ignoring him.
"Any thing important happened?" he asked to the blond teen as he tried to leave the hay.
Key word being tried.
Potter seemed pretty happy being in his arms and proved it by not letting go of Rivaille's cape.
The lance corporal felt his right eyebrow tick.
He wasn't going to let his cape to the wizard. Not this one. It was his last one. (They were slowly vanishing now that he had to share his clothes with Potter)
Rivaille considered waking the man so he could let go of his cape and the soldier could finally join Jaeger and do his job. However, Potter had been adamant about his need of sleep. If the man didn't have enough sleep, he wouldn't able to keep protecting them and they weren't even at the middle of their mission.
So the lance corporal hadn't another choice.
He sighed deeply and glanced briefly at the blonde before acting.
"N-nothing, sir," the teenager answered nervously.
"Go to sleep, Arlelt," Rivaille said calmly as he stood without faltering with his husband in his arms.
The blonde sputtered an answer and quickly went to join the others in the hay while the adult walked in the farm and found Eren sitting at the entry of the abandoned grange.
The brown haired teen had heavy rings under his eyes and his head bobbed by moments like he was fighting against his sleepiness.
"Captain," the teenager greeted before coughing loudly.
It seemed that seeing his superior with his husband in his arms was too much for him.
"Jaeger," Rivaille. "Anything new?"
"A Titan walked by," the teenager said between his gritted teeth and he slowly went back to his angry and reckless self. "But he didn't notice us.
"So they can walk by night," the lance corporal muttered darkly before he settled next to Eren.
The boy glanced at the still sleeping man in his captain's arms and blushed nervously before looking elsewhere.
Rivaille leaned his head against the door of the farm and glanced at the outside, his grey eyes scanning the misty lands and stopping on an unknown form that was slowly approaching them.
"Titan at two o'clock," he reported softly.
"It's the same than earlier," Eren told him as softly. "It seems to circle the village. He passes every four hours."
Rivaille nodded and looked briefly at the sleeping wizard in his lap before glancing back at the leaving Titan.
If the monster was to attack them, they wouldn't be able to react as quickly as he wanted.
He promised himself that the next night they would sleep in high places.
Potter stirred happily in his lap and mumbled something about a pumpkin juice and sweets.
[...]
Harry was having a really nice dream about his first Halloween at Hogwarts (Quirrell fainting had been a nice memory now that he thought about it) when he was brutally snatched from his happy dream. The wizard blinked wearily and immediately went for the nearest source of comfort that he found. It was surprisingly close and he made a happy grunt when a nice and familiar smell surrounded him.
Except that his source of comfort was pretty hard for a pillow. And that it was moving. And growling.
Harry felt his stomach move abruptly and he opened his eyes to find out that he was now in the air and in the flea's arms.
'That wasn't supposed to happen,' he thought while he blinked owlishly.
Thanks Merlin, he hadn't to wear glasses since years ago or he would have been a big burden to the group.
The wizard glanced briefly at the reason of his abrupt wake up call and eyed the Titan that was destroying the farm. He felt a pinch in his chest and quickly looked at his husband's face.
"How are the others?" he asked while fearing what he could hear.
He had know that this mission wasn't easy. But if they lost someone in the second day, he would automatically take the blame. After all, he was supposed to be the one to protect them and hadn't done that, preferring to sleep in rather than help them.
"Eren saved them just in time," Rivaille answered while twirling in the air to avoid the titan's stretched arm.
"Okay," Harry sighed in relief. "You can leave me on the ground, I'll be able to manage something."
Rivaille raised a brow and shrugged before letting him go. The wizard scowled when he realised that his so attentive husband had actually had the gal to let him fall for more than two meters and touched down quite loudly. He had to jump and roll to avoid the titan's feet and glared at his flying husband who was more busy killing the Titan than amusing him.
Once the beast had been taken care of, Harry went to the destroyed farm and used a Levitation charm to dispel the broken roof. It was then that he found out how Eren had protected the rest of the teenagers.
Coughing loudly as there was a lot of steam in the farm remains, the wizard eyed with curiosity the gigantic and skeleton-like head and chest that was supposed to be Eren.
"Not bad, not bad at all, Eren!" Harry commented as he jumped from a remain of what had been the ceiling of the farm to join the squad that was huddling in the Titan shifter's ribs cage.
"Eren," Armin said softly once he saw the dark haired man appear. "You can let go."
The Titan shifter made a throaty sound and Harry frowned.
"That doesn't sound good," he commented before looking at the other teens. "Get out of there, he can't move right now."
Mikasa looked alarmed and protested before she was quickly silenced by the adult.
"Don't protest and go help your superior, he's fighting right now," Harry explained to them with a little smile. "I'm no fighter so I'll stay here with Eren."
The young Asian frowned harshly and jumped out of the remains, quickly joined by the rest of the squad.
Harry watched them leave and finally, once he was sure that no one could see him, he let his mask of happiness slip and looked grimly at Eren.
"Okay Eren," the wizard began with a strained voice. "I know that you're kind of stuck right now so I'll help you. However, this will hurt like a bitch. So, please, don't scream. I don't want to be killed by Mikasa."
The Titan shifter nodded warily and closed his eyes with a heavy grunt when he felt Harry's little hand touch one of his ribs.
"At the count of three, okay?" the adult whispered softly while he heard the other soldiers talk outside. "One. Two..."
Eren gritted his teeth.
"Three!"
[...]
Nobody had died in the first day of their suicidal expedition. And they were now in their second day.
Rivaille observed silently his squad, noting how Mikasa Ackerman was glaring daggers at Potter, how Sasha Blouse was looking around her and squealing in happiness every time she saw rabbits or deers, how Connie Springer was almost buzzing with energy, how Jean Kirstein was slouched on his horse and nursing some kind of injury he had on his stomach (Jeager's reaction hadn't been as quick as needed) and how Armin Arlelt was softly speaking with Historia Reiss. And then, there was the men in the cart.
Harry Potter, his damn husband, was driving the horses with his eyes closed, probably concentrated on his magic trick to protect them from the Titans. And Eren Jaeger was meditating in the cart.
"Any progress?" Rivaille asked as he made sure that his horse was close to the cart.
Harry opened his eyes and glanced at him before blinking slowly.
"Not really," he answered honestly. "Eren's energy is still pretty wild. And I can feel a lot of titans right in front of us. We'll have to slow down before they are in sight."
The soldier nodded and narrowed his eyes. So a lot of titans were in front of them. Did it mean that they were slowly nearing the opening in the Wall Maria? Also, they had to slow down so Potter could increase his protection...
Rivaille sighed and jumped from his horse to the cart. He then sat next to the wizard and took the reins from his hands.
"Go to sleep," he told him with an even voice.
The wizard blinked and a smile slowly appeared on his weary face.
"Thanks," he chirped before setting his head on the lance corporal's shoulder. "By the way, you smell of mint."
"It's always better than horse dung," Rivaille shrugged and ignored Connie's glare.
The wizard chuckled softly and closed his eyes.
The titans were soon in front of them and the whole squad inched closer to the cart where Harry was still sleeping (or feigned to as Rivaille had noticed how the man had tensed once Arlelt had whispered about the titans) and Eren was meditating.
"Keep going and don't stray away from the cart," the lance corporal ordered.
"B-but," Jean protested as the pack continued approaching them. "They are coming straight for us, sir!"
Rivaille glared at the teen and shook the wizard's shoulder and once Harry was awake, he jumped on his horse. The animal whinned softly and tried to trot away but the soldier was quick to make sure that he didn't stray away from the cart.
"Okay everyone," Harry suddenly said as he clasped his hands together. "Here's the plan: nobody screams. Nobody attacks and nobody transforms (that goes for you, Eren). Also, everyone should be at less than two meters from the cart. If you don't, you're dead. So choose wisely."
"What?" Connie began to panic and turned to look around him. The titans were coming nearer by seconds. "But... If we don't attack, we're going to die!"
"Springer," Rivaille snapped quietly at the scared teenager. "Don't question orders."
"Yes sir!" The boy immediately said as it was now a reflex.
However, it didn't mean that he was now reassured.
They were going straight to a pack of titans and there wasn't any tree or house to help them use the tridimensional gear.
In short, they were fucked.
"I'm going to straighten the spell so don't disturb me," Harry said to his husband.
The latter narrowed his eyes and nodded curtly before looking in front of him.
The nearest Titan was a fifteen meters beast and had short dirty blond hair and puppy eyes. It was a disturbing sight but nothing that could faze the lance corporal. He eyed briefly his squad and narrowed his eyes even more when he noticed that Jean's hands were on his blades hilts.
However, Rivaille didn't rebuff him as Potter needed silence.
The earth began to shake and the horses were already jittery but their training quickly helped and they stayed still as the whole squad continued advancing towards the titans.
Finally, they were right in front of the blond Titan. The creature blinked and looked down. The first person in their expedition, Sasha Blouse, froze on her horse and whimpered silently when the Titan stretched his hand to take her.
However, something happened because the beast blinked and straightened its back before beginning to walk once again towards the Wall Rose.
Rivaille let out a sigh that he hadn't realised that he had hold. The rest of the soldiers did the same as the other titans walked at mere inches of them and didn't even glance at them.
"This is..." Jean whispered with amazement. "This is magic."
The lance corporal rolled his eyes and ignored the copper and strange savour that was fleeting around them.
Meanwhile, Harry's green eyes flashed brightly and he grinned at his husband.
"So, I'm not a damn bother, right?" he asked lightly.
Rivaille snorted discreetly and punched the wizard's arm.
"Flea," the latter hissed as he touched carefully his hurting arm.
"Fucker," Rivaille retorted coolly.
The rest of the squad decided to look to another side as the tension in the cart had increased considerably.
Meanwhile, a poor Eren blanched and he began to rock back and forth while muttered things for himself.
"This is a dream, a dream! Everything is alright, alright!"
[...]
Once the sunset came in the horizon, Harry coughed politely and stood in his cart while stumbling imperceptibly.
"I need to sleep," he announced with a clear voice.
Eren jumped from the cart and quickly ran to take the wizard in his arms as the man had fell from the cart.
"Hey," Harry commented with a weak voice. "Since when can you apparate?"
The teenager ignored his delirious words and looked at his captain. The latter was frowning slightly and looked around him before nodding curtly.
"Jaeger, put Potter in the cart and take the reins. We're going to run to the nearest village or cavern that we can find. Be on alert, if we meet titans, attack on sight."
The teenagers gulped loudly and nodded while Eren carefully put the adult in the cart and sat in the front.
And then they began to run.
Sweat rolled on their faces and the horses were panting loudly. However they kept running as they were now in the middle of nowhere and couldn't hide until the sun came out and Harry was back in his prime.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake and Rivaille narrowed his eyes.
"Springer!" he barked. "In position!"
"Yes sir!" the teenager exclaimed as he stood on his galloping horse and took out his blades.
The Titan was already onto them and Connie gulped when he noticed that it was a five meters. There were the fastest titans. Nonetheless, the teenager tensed all of his muscles and jumped from his horse to find himself on the titan's face. The creature opened its mouth and Connie actually screamed in horror before slashing the titan's eyes and neck. The being gurgled loudly and lifted a hand to push away the boy.
But Eren was already in his Titan form and quickly tackled the beast. Connie was quick on his feet and killed the Titan before jumping on Eren's stretched hand and settled on the giant's shoulder.
The rest of the squad had continued running and Eren ran to catch them up.
The rest of the night passed like this and by the end of it, Connie was dead on his feet and Eren wasn't faring better.
"Blouse, Ackerman!" Rivaille ordered from Armin's horse (the blonde was driving the cart). "Take Jaeger and Springer's positions!"
The two females nodded with strained faces and Eren and Connie swapped places with them.
The Titan shifter went back to his normal face and immediately went to the cart to curl next to Harry's sleeping form. The teenager's snores followed by the next seconds and Rivaille looked at Connie's sleepy face before sighing heavily.
Once the sun would be high in the sky, their fate would be sealed.
The lance corporal glanced briefly at the wizard's slumbering face and gritted his teeth.
They would survive. He'd make sure of that.
[...]
"Potter, wake up," a little shake.
Harry stirred and moaned faintly. His reserves of magic were almost full and he felt quite good right now. Even it there was a persistent odour of horse dung around him.
"Potter! You damn fucker! Wake the fuck up!" his husband's melodious voice hissed ominously at his ear and the wizard blearily cracked one lid open.
"Yessir?" he slurred weakly.
"The sun's up and we're surrounded by titans. Do your magic," the flea retorted acidly.
"'Kay," Harry answered as he stretched.
He looked around him and whistled in amazement when he realised that he was in the cart, surrounded by the teenagers and that his husband was actually protecting him from the hand of a rather big Titan.
"Everyone," the wizard announced lightly as he took his wand out and felt his magic buzz happily around him.
It seemed that it didn't like to be used in runes. Well, Harry had always liked to fight so it didn't really surprise him.
"Get down if you want to live!" Harry concluded simply.
Rivaille rolled his eyes and immediately obeyed. Seeing him act, the others did the same and Harry tilted his head when he realised that he didn't see Eren.
"Where's Eren?" he asked to Mikasa.
The girl scowled and looked at a Titan that was fighting a diminutive Titan.
"Merlin, he must be dead on his feet," Harry commented before snapping his wrist. "I hope that you're not too hot there, Eren!"
And then, fire began to came out of the little stick that he had in his hand.
The soldiers looked at him with amazement and fright and didn't move an inch when the fire began to circle the cart and pushed the titans away. It progressively took shape and Mikasa widened her eyes in surprise when a snake with legs and winds roared and clawed a Titan's face.
"Rivaille," Harry said between his gritted teeth. "Go get Eren, I'll cover you."
The soldier didn't protest and jumped on the ground. He couldn't use his horse as the poor animal was too tired to make a step. He quickly joined the tired Titan shifted and swiftly killed the other Titan before pulling the teenager out of his hide. It wasn't a easy task as it seemed that the more time he passed in his Titan self, the less easy it was for Eren to go back to his normal self.
Finally, and surrounded by Harry's fire, they joined the others in the cart.
"What now?" Jean asked once they were all together.
Harry sighed and ran his hand through his hair.
"I really don't know," the wizard answered wearily. "The horses seem almost dead. You don't have those giant trees to help you. And there doesn't seem to be a village near here..."
"There is," Armin corrected him with a little frown. "But I don't see how this could help..."
"If it's a non moving place, I can protect it without tiring," Harry explained while grinning brightly. "Let's go to that village! I just need a little house and some minutes!"
[...]
The travel to the village had been the most straining experience in Rivaille's life. However, they were now in a secure place and no one had died. Of course, they had injuries. Jean had a broken rib and Sasha was trying to hide that a Titan had broken her wrist.
Nonetheless, they were all alive.
Rivaille sighed and rubbed his bleary eyes while he watched over the wizard's crouching form.
The latter was tracing some strange things in the ground and the walls of the little cottage they had taken as refuge. Also, he had once again stolen his knife and was once again splattering his blood on his strange markings.
"Protection!" Potter claimed with a powerful voice.
The Titan that had been approaching them but that had stopped because he had saw how good Rivaille was with his blades stopped his pacing and blinked stupidly before turning his feet and leaving the village.
"Someday," Rivaille mused while he rubbed again his eyes. "You'll teach me that spell."
"Teaching a muggle a Notice-me-not spell," the wizard said as he shook his head with an amused laugh. "That would be priceless!"
The lance corporal blinked and glared at the other man. He was still on his adrenalin rush and was almost inclined to just kill him.
"It's okay now," Potter added with a soft smile. "The spell is in place and nobody will be attacked. You can finally rest, Rivaille."
The soldier blinked again and stopped rubbing his tired eyes. He had just realised something.
"Since when do you call me by my name?" he asked with a frown.
"Since you protected me during my sleep," the wizard replied evenly. "Thank you by the way."
Rivaille tilted his head and staggered briefly before meeting the man's green eyes.
"You protect us during the day," he stated with a slowly slurring voice. "I'd say that we're even."
"Doesn't matter," the dark haired adult shook his head and put his hand on the soldier's shoulder. "Thank you Rivaille."
Was it by the wizard's brutal sincerity, the adrenalin still rushing in his body, the sleepiness invading his weary body or the simple fact that he couldn't tell right from wrong, Rivaille just tilted his head more and kissed the other male.
The latter answered back as softly as he had done it and the lance corporal groaned slightly before closing his eyes and leaning his body against the wizard.
And then, as he was kissing senseless the man who had tried to kill since their first meeting, Rivaille fell asleep. He had never felt so relaxed and in sure arms in his life.
So the mission didn't end. And I didn't put sexy time between our favourite husbands. I'm such a bad writer...
But well at least they are going somewhere. And their honeymoon will never stop. After all, they still need to conquest the whole Wall Maria. And the outside world. And I still need to think over their sexy time once the kids are sleeping.
